Him: I can't believe it. I'm a big guy. And what I mean by big is that I'm well endowed. VERY well endowed. So much so that I scare most chicks away. But not this girl. This beautiful brown-skinned girl, handling every inch of me. Yeah so this is not how you're supposed to meet the one. It is a clothing optional kind of party and she's the only female. But she's not running. Not cursing me out or fighting me. I think I'm in love.
Her: Last night was satisfactory. I had my doubts that my needs would be met until he arrived. The exceptional one. The only Caucasian in the room. His talents were much appreciated. But now he wants to buy me breakfast. To spend more time with me. To learn where I live. My phone number. My name. This is unacceptable. These engagements serve a purpose. Anything beyond casual acquaintances is against the rule. He has to go.
Him: Okay, so she doesn't want to talk to me. Doesn't want to see me again. Or so she says. She must be new to this game, because her body is bending to my touch even though that sharp tongue is dismissing me. I'm not worried though. I got her number and I know her name. Bren. Halfway to making this woman mine.
I'm a mixed chick. It's what I know. Between living on base with my military father to growing up with my mom's melting pot family, mixed couples and families are my norm. My English teachers always told me to write what I know, so here I am.
If you enjoy my erotic short stories, please join my mailing list. It's pretty cut and dry - you only get notices when I publish something new. I thought about building a website, but a story idea popped in my head and I had to write it down. One day I'll get around to that. Maybe. For now, I'm too busy writing.
I'll start by saying I can't believe how much I enjoyed the story of Brenda and Scott. Also loved her best friend, Duke. Everything about them worked for me. How they met, how he approached her. Her rebuffing him and his refusal to stop pursuing her..... Everything! The one irritant? angelo and his punk judging of Brenda. I got angry when he made Scott promise no sex when he lives with him and gets a variation of it, EVERY DAY!! No, I do not care for the angelo character. Lower case intended. No, what he did with her is not the same as what he shares with him. Not in my opinion. Moving on....
(Deep breath, hold, exhale slowly through mouth.)
Over all, I think this was a well written story. It's paced well. It has humor, serious/ tender moments, and kept me engrossed to the point of being saddened when it ended. I immediately went looking for Scott's Desire and didn't find it. Can't wait for the next installment. ( Hoping that Will be soon. ) This is the first book I've read by this author, and because of it, I will try others.
Yes there were typo's but not enough to distract from the story.
I highly recommend reading Brenda's Release. I'm positive others will come to love Brenda, Scott, and Duke, and hate angelo and her parents as much as I do.
Not really a romance. Ends abruptly which I think it's just that it was broken into two books. This book is just sex, sex and more sex. A bunch of sex addicts going at it lol That's about it. It was straight up porn. This guy, Scott is a nymphomaniac. It's too much. Nothing to see here kids.
WOW! I have to admit at first I was turned off by the whole situation. I appreciated it more as I kept reading. Bren and Scott need each other as well as want each other. Scott really perused her in a special way which made me chuckle. He also discovered something more about himself and his sexuality. Once explained why she went after group sex with random groups of guys my heart hurt. Be aware her parents are complete jerks that need to be smacked. They are hateful. I look forward to the rest of Scott, Angelo and Bren's story.
I didn't get it or know what MMF was. I see I don't like this dynamic. I also felt like all the relationships were very weird and confusing. I still don't understand the dynamics. I finally got some clarity for some of the reason for why Bren is the way she is, BUUUTT these other weird relationships with the men, I don't get it. Warning/spoiler....there is gay/bi interactions. I'm definitely not into the male on male action and had to skip thru a lot of that.
Outside of the gay/bi stuff, the dynamics of Been/Duke, Angelo in general ....u figure out Angelo/Scott but Scott/Duke...they were all weird and confusing. Didn't understand the rules with how Duke and Angelo were dictating stuff. I felt like there was no good explanation of any of the relationships and they felt unhealthy. I didn't even understand Bren until the end when there was finally you are introduced to her family. The storyline felt like a lot of abrasive/abusive uncontrollable sex with not much explanation. There was a building g of relationship that was still weird and secretive. This was just a NO for me
This book vexed me. The writing is clunky and the way the fmc speaks is weird af (like a robot), no human speaks like that I don't care how traumatized you are. Everyone in this book is a sex addict and not one conversation didn't revolve around it; it was insanely annoying. That being said, it's clear Brenda, Scott, and possibly Angelo have issues going on in their lives that I'm very interested in learning about but we barely got any in this book.
This story reads rather clunky due to the robotic way the lead speaks. She is a woman of regiments to keep her emotions at bay. Scott is a college boy who is taken by Brenda and is also torn about his feelings towards his roommate. As characters begin to accept things about themselves, sparks start to fly and deeper connections are made.
This book is about Brenda and her sexual exploits and how her life choices impacts three males who are close to her. This is book 1, there are more to follow. Interesting story line as each character has a cross to bare.
Just no. Can't handle the girl who speaks as if she's an alien..which maybe she is...I couldn't finish the book...maybe there is a surprise ending. Even worse was the guy that wouldn't take no for an answer. "She told me no... She's now my girlfriend". NOPE

I enjoy this book so much! The characters were funny and relatable 🤣 I also enjoyed the bi sexual content and appreciated how open the men were with their sexualty.
I have been and then charmed by such a quite uncommon, yet outstanding book that I devoured it like a starving book fiend. I enjoyed every bit of drama, adventure and hot sexual scenes transmitted from the book pages.
I don’t ordinarily come across a book that have the elements to tap into the 'rare reader's' treasure box. Hence when I happened to find a jewel of a book so unique; My reserve 'good book' pile open its doors in appreciation. Then I’m squealing like a kid jumping up and down like I've just received my Christmas presents way to early.
I can’t do nothing but heap on, an onslaught of praises to the author of this astonishing book. From the very first sentence of this book I automatically fell in love.
The structural writing style is one that I can candidly say I haven’t seen much in modern writing. It’s different from anything that I have read before. Ms. Kelana Hyde style of writing is wizardly good and has an addictive feel to it, making you want to read along slowly as you clobbered every line jotted down. Her erotically singular style makes the book so memorable that you never want to put it down.
The primary theme of the book is heavily focused on Scott and Brenda and to an extend.... Angelo. Some people may not like the naivety of the qualities and the unconventional way both main characters met. But, through the fragility of it, being that it was deep, dreary, and troubling, I somehow see it as a breakthrough and took comfort in it. There are lessons to be learned here, that weren't more or less glossed over which is quite refreshing. The chief characters were relatively confusing people, and you’ll get close enough to know much about them, and even closer understanding their strange behaviors. The book delves into a risky topic that, for some readers it may trigger off the wrong response.
I loved the slow growing relationship with Brenda and Scott and his nonstop pursue of courting and claiming this woman who clearly was running away from something or someone? All of this added up to an unraveling mystery. And you’re entrusted with so many questions like: What caused Brenda’s need for sexual gratification? Why the monthly calls that a Brenda has made always left she shook? Why does she have to maintain a schedule and stay with? Why does her best friend “Duke” have so much control over Brenda’s orderly manner? And why did she hold onto a secret for so many years? Why did Scott feel that he can have his cake and eat it as well? Why does Angelo creep me out?
I supposed I had figured it out, but I was so off the target, and I’m great at solving enigmas. Only the revelation at the end left me with my mouth hanging open. Even after reading it several times over, I’m still in daze. I just amazed that somehow things slipped through me and I didn’t regard any of the clues that were left in the open by the author.
This book was a pleasant surprise and may quite possibly be one my favorite book to date. Never had I seen something portrayed so realistically about one's sexuality and how pleasurable yet destructive it can be. Although I’ve never experienced the scenarios that each character encountered, I did understand the nuisances they were going through, and I sympathize with them whilst hoping that they would all make better decisions.
I’m glad the author told her surreptitious story in her own way and instead of it being a turn off, she managed to somehow produce a brilliant work of literature that perfectly summed up the way, each character behave the way they do. They're all but troubled souls afraid to let their guards down.
I’m forever stuck in awe of this book, and it is surely will be one of my favorites no doubt. Everything totally came together at the end of the novel setting it up smoothly for the banging cliffhanger. I’ve now fully dedicated myself to this series and will hope the finale would be released very soon.
If you have not read this book I cannot stress how unbelievable good it truly is and I think this is something more readers should place a chance on. I fared, and I’m so happy that I gave this book a decent shot.
First this is not a gentle book. It’s messy, sexy, twisted, crazy good. The sex is nasty and raw. The characters are flawed. This is not a sweet book hell there’s even a scene that’s a little rapish. If you are triggered by any of this don’t read this book. But if you like a twisted, dark, MMF, erotic, yummy, nasty good time then this is for you. Happy reading.
