I've a strong belief I had written something about this book . . . but nothing is here now. mmphs.
Right, so, this is an adult choose your own adventure story starring you - the female bookworm. From a long line of monster hunters, and keeper of knowledge of monsters (which, by the way, are actually real). The 'you', as noted, is quite bookish and believes that . . .um . . I? me? they? aren't very good physically - at least in fighting. Unlike her outstanding mother and sister.
Well, the story shifts from me being a skilled book reader to huntress when I receive a box from my sister. Inside of which are 'stuff' indicating that both mother and sister got lost on an island and now I need to go save them. Or something like that. And so . . . I, and my massively large breasts (what, that kept being mentioned repeatedly), are off on an adventure to a mythical island.
There are various traps you can fall into, though I mostly got through the story 'unscratched'. And super powerful - SUPER I'M A GODDESS NOW! WORSHIP ME! - or, that was one outcome. A different outcome had me be a dictator.
Certain flaws - one of the first choices you make, not first but near first, is whether or not to dodge the advances of a specific man. I dodged him and we got to a city. He then dumped me there and said 'good luck' or something like that. Figuring that I'd just set myself up for failure, I went back and redid that - see, the choice was 'rebuff the man's advances and not accept his money or fuck him for money'. So, I went back and got the money. Which . . . played no part what-so-ever to the story line. So - I never again tried to 'help myself' by doing something disagreeable. I just went down the paths I thought might be fun.
Right, so, well crafted book. Enjoyable even.

An dem Ebook habe ich ewig gelesen und hatte auch eine sehr große Pause mittendrin. Der Anfang hat mir sehr gefallen. Ich fand das ganze System, dass man die Story selbst bestimmt und dann eben nur den Weg weiterliest, den man wählt ohne vorher zu wissen, was die Konsequenzen sind, richtig toll. Man kommt immer wieder an einen Punkt, wo man sich entscheiden muss, ob man sich ergibt, abwartet, angreift oder mit Magie angreift. Teilweise gibt es auch noch andere Optionen. Man wählt dann eine Option und wird vom Ebookreader dann genau an die Stelle katapultiert, wo man weiterlesen soll. Man kann natürlich auch sterben und das sogar recht oft. Wenn man an so ein schlechtes Ende geraten ist, wird eine die Option gegeben, vom Index aus selbst zu wählen wo man wieder anfängt oder ganz von vorn anzufangen. Nicht bei jedem schlechten Ende stirbt man. Das Buch ist nicht nur erotisch sondern auch ganz schön pervers. Also man findet hier so gut wie alles was man sich vorstellen kann, an Begegnungen der Protagonistin mit allen möglichen mythischen und magischen Wesen. Mehr möchte ich nicht dazu sagen. Man sollte einfach auf alles gefasst sein.
Was anfangs noch interessant war, wurde leider schnell langweilig. Auch wenn die magischen Wesen sehr unterschiedlich waren, so liefen die Begegnungen doch recht gleich ab. Am Ende kommt dann etwas mehr Kampf und Spannung in die Story und ein großes Showdown, aber das hat es für mich jetzt nicht gerettet. Ich habe ein Ende durchgespielt, habe aber momentan keine Lust mir auch die anderen Enden zu erspielen. Auch einige Begegnungen habe ich nicht erlebt auf meinen Weg und könnte sie nun mit Hilfe des Index noch lesen, aber ich habe keine große Lust darauf.
Alles in allem war es okay und man bekommt wirklich sehr viel für seine 5 Euro. Ich würde definitiv wieder so ein Erlebnisbuch lesen.

This took me on a ride and it did not disappoint. this is a horror with erotic elements in it. but just a warning, all the erotica in this is heavily featured as assault. you are on a journey to an island to save your mom and sister who are huntresses. you encounter all manners of monsters that are trying to breed you to build an army. they will basically pleasure you to death through magic and trickery. Since this is a choose your own adventure, you can choose NOT to have sex with anybody. but with so many different endings and choices to make who knows what you will encounter. as a monster romance lover some of the choices were hard to make! of course we want to get with a succubus or a giant goat man. I loved that these are not your typical monster creatures (don't plan on seeing any sexy vampires in this) and the plot is simple but keeps you invested. this would be fun to read with friends where everyone makes different choices. I immediately wanted to start over and choose different paths.

Great erotic choose your own adventure. Prose could be a bit better. Her later series, The Easily Defeated Hero's Monster Girl Adventure is also really good. Very hot and a big variety of monsters to run away from or allow to be taken.
Couple caveats:
The book starts with some ordinary human sex before getting to all the monster stuff. It's good sex, mind you, but you might want to plow through that to get to the main course.
The book leans heavily into the breeding and egg-laying fetishes. If that's not your thing, this book might not be your cup of tea. In that case, check out the Easily Defeated Hero for some more balanced monster erotica.

This may be the only time I write a review of a book that I've read (far) less than half of.
You see, 1500+ pages is not a joke, but as a "choose your own adventure" book, you're not likely to read most of it, unless you choose to re-read it. It's a gimmick, but I'll be damned if it isn't a fun one.
A horror lover, I found this to be a little tame - it's clearly pushing towards eroticism (and humor) over chills. That's probably for the best, though I wouldn't doubt there may be a few super dark endings. Generally you'll meet something/someone, then find yourself in a situation where you can accept sex gleefully, accept it with hesitations, refuse intimacy or fight back, then based on your choices, it will veer into different directions. I didn't find dead links or have problems on my kindle version (though, there may be some I didn't select), which is important when a gimmick is this important.
Overall, I can't say I was truly engaged in the story, but I read this more as a curiosity and frankly, it met that bar. Do you want to be more involved in the decision making of your monster smut literature? Can't see why you'd pass this up. Want a single, engaging story, well thought out that will have you questioning the world and how it works through your newly opened eyes? Keep on walking.

A fun read with plenty to find
The book is fantastic. The course your able to plot through the book gives you plenty to explore. Good and bad endings a plenty with little repetition.

It was a fun time! Absolutely raunchy and ridiculous which is what I was hoping for. I wish it had been a little more creative with the choice making and results thereafter, but I honestly got what I was looking for out of it. A very fun read with friends.
