27 books, 4 series, countless reoccurring characters, all working for good. All Badass. Here’s our Js in the last book of the last series where nothing is as it seems. Jacob has had enough. All in was supposed to mean something. What the hell is he doing wrong? Getting his partners to show at home is getting harder and harder. Begging is not Badass. He’s done. A vision throws Jeremy into his biggest tantrum yet. How is he going to fix this one? No one will pull shields to let him talk. He finds a way to communicate but will it be enough? Getting away from Jeremy has Aubrey showing her Badass. She’s got Blackhawk skillz but needs some confidence to keep her men. The old ladies step in and the Brothers’ control starts to slip.
L. Ann started with the Baxters and followed that with multiple series and genres. While her books feature paranormal, FBI, ex-military and Badass Bikers, L. Ann is writing about the strong women that these men need in their life to help right the world's wrongs and keep their small part of the world safe. The women are extraordinary, strong and determined to make a difference. The men fight for right in every book. Yes, they kill people. Yes, the MC shoots at the bad guys’ feet to cause them pain. Yes, some throw tampons at each other regularly. That being said, they do these things while stopping human trafficking and experimentation, bringing their world into legitimate businesses, fighting gangs to keep drugs away from their town and kids, keep women sheltered safely while trying to stop domestic abuse. These are men that don’t leave a pack, Team member or Brother behind. They don’t treat women as possessions and they don’t cheat. Respect takes on an honorable meaning. Women and kids are cherished. Everyone is looked out for and everyone is equal. L. Ann has made amazing worlds, tackled the taboo subjects and made it easy to imagine living in a world where your protection comes from the vampires, shifters, freaky kids, albinos and orientals, military turned FBI and some Badass Bikers. With readers writing about rereading the series over and over, she feels like she’s told her characters’ stories in a way that would make them proud. Every book will make you laugh, every book will make you angry for the wrong that happens in the world. Every book will make you cry for the pain that a character feels. Every book gives you hope that we may just get it right yet
Not enough words to describe how coming to the end of these series of books makes me feel. These characters have become like family to me and with each book and new generation that got moreand more true. The way the series has evolved and grown is amazing. From the first time we met the Js in Blackhawk you just knew they'd become integral to this series. What they went through and how they've grown up whilst we met all the characters and watched them all fall In love and find their hea, has been enlightening. This book is the culmination of all that the Badass and Baxter's are about. Even tho it starts out with some heartache it's a journey they need to go on, all three of them, to find their strengths as a family. Once they truly grow into who they can be they will amaze you with their love and commitment to not only each other but the whole Mc. Once again L Ann amazes me with her imagination and inventiveness with her stories. Altho I hesitate to just call them stories as we've all heavily invested ourselves into these series of books emotionally. It's with a happy but heavy heart that I say I don't think you'll ever find a series like it again anywhere. I've used countless boxes for of Kleenex over the last couple of years but it's been an awesome experience. Thank you for a truly beautiful experience. I can't recommend this book or series highly enough. Edit Delete
Which this was real with no bigotry and lots more love. Can't wait for another book from this author. Which the government would get their act together in real life. My dream world.
I was so happy to see Jeremy & Jacob was completed since it felt like i waited forever for it to come out. I have loved the 2 since they were little and loved how Jeremy doted on Aubrey when she was introduced to the MC. I almost feel as though we were robbed of part of their story though since we missed the wedding and first 2 years of their marriage. Jacob has been a part of almost every book and i have loved him every time for his loyalty to Jeremy, Aubrey and the club. He really gave me the feels in this book and i just wanted to cry for what he went through and all the hurt he was feeling. It was nice to see Aubrey have to grow up but i still kinda feel like even though she showed she was all in that she is still a bit of a whiny b! $ch, and was still selfish. While Jacob put her and Jeremy so above himself she was still about just her. I dont love her like i do some of the other old ladies. I wish we would have had more of Jeremy because it seems like we only ever get pieces of him. I love him for all his faults and strengths because he's Jeremy. It hurts that he had to grow up in such a harsh way but all things considered he was always treated like a child and had no reason to be a grown up. He has always worked to keep everyone safe but didnt have to be a big part of everyones lives. Seeing him talk more was nice but i wish we couldve had more of him in the book like we did with Jacob and Aubrey. Over all i loved the book and am sad that we're at the end of the series becuase i want more of all of them and the kids need their own books.
no question that this is a five star read for me. a brilliant end to to this epic saga but an end that truly was needed. there are so many characters making up every story and keeping my mind on the who's who is really starting to get to impossible. my only complaint is that i would have loved to have seen even one chapter, even a teeny tiny one from Jeremy's pov. the writing is powerful, the stories and characters inspirational. I really enjoyed that this story picked up where it did ... it was always a predestined relationship that everyone knew would come to be so it didn't need all the preliminaries of the triad coming together in the first place. so many great characters right through the books and so many favourites but... oh my ... Jacob has stepped out as my very fave after this read. over and above everything else his compassion and empathy make him a beautiful soul.
Omg..I loved the book. Was sad throughout most of it. I wondered if Jeremy was ever going to right the wrongs that happened. I cried when I read this was the last book. Omg what will we do?? It can't be over!! It just can't be over!! I hope we get more cause I wanna know more. I totally recommend all the books in the series. You will love them I promise!!!
This love story was a long time in the making. Jacob, Jeremy and Aubrey have been in love since they were children. What happens when one is taken for granted? What happens when jealousy creeps into their marriage? Absolutely awesome way to end the series. Love the book but hated to see it end.
What to say... It was bittersweet to see it end, but I'm glad I happened this way. I've read every single one of these books and these people feel so real to me now. To finally see the quiet little shaken twins turn around and be grown men the rents raised them to be. To see the cosmic twin bond strengthens because of abilities and how together they form 1. I feel like this people are apart of my everyday lives but it just shows how as humans in this giant world we should strive to be the example they set. To know these characters came from the brain of L Ann shows how much of an amazing individual and writer she is. A+++ for me now time for the reread of the entire series. Can't get enough the stories never get old. I always notice shit I didn't catch the first time I read them.
Jacob, Jeremy and Aubrey, what can I say. They've known each other since childhood. Jacob has always been the handler for Jeremy. Jeremy feels he has to protect Aubrey from the outside, not thinking she can protect herself and others. The story starts off with Jacob finding out that Jeremy and Aubrey have left for D.C. on their anniversary, not informing Jacob they were going. Jacob had taken 3 days off to be with them. Jacob is so upset, he moves out of their home and the two haven't even noticed. All are upset with the two for how they have been behaving. After a while, Jeremy goes off the rails, moving into the club and staying drunk. With Jeremy gone, Aubrey finds her self. She is helping with ops and doing a great job. This was a great read. I loved it!! L Ann Marie is a fantastic writer. I'm hooked on her books, and you will also be, once you have read one.
I've finally read everything she has written, and I loved it all quirky characters, the syfy stuff going on is a hoot. The series is just plain fun to read.
This is a fantastic way to end a series (for now but hopefully not forever). I met Jeremy and Jacob in MC: Blackhawk and Aubrey in Moniz. I fell in love with them immediately. I have been looking forward to this particular book. I love how flawed and human this author makes all of her characters. I especially think it was needed with these. Jeremy, Jacob and Aubrey seem perfect and amazing in quite a few of the books. In this one we are shown a little envy, self doubt and miscommunication. There is still plenty of action, but also real emotion and struggle of trying to be equal and find yourself and your place in marriage and family. This was a wonderful story that drives home different is different, hope, love and forgiveness. I am extremely sad this is the last of the series but as I said it's a beautiful way to end it.
There is only one thing to say , this is a must read series. The relationships in the books are brilliant and keep you engaged until the end and beyond. I am not sure how L Ann keeps doing it but she writes a fabulous story in an even more fab series.
Wow! I can't believe it's over, but what a great way to do it! This was a true roller coaster ride! Jacob's frustration truly broke my heart and made me want to just give him hugs and support along with all of the Brothers who rallied around him. Aubrey and her struggle to find herself and her Badass within gave hope for what would be and Jeremy made me cry with his guilt and anxiety. All that wrapped up in L Ann Marie's world of brothers and Baxters with humor when it's needed most. This is the perfect ending to an epic era. While my heart is breaking because these series are over I am also left with the hope for their futures. I am anxiously awaiting what L Ann Marie has in story for us next, but I know it is sure to change the way we think. Note as this is the last book of many series you need to read the previous books in order to fully follow this book, but I highly recommend that you do!
After 27 books and 4 series this was a bittersweet read for me. We first meet the J's in MC:Blackhawk and begin to see the "specials" and a little of what they are capable of. I was actually very nervous when this released because I still pictured Jeremy as that little boy that needed to be protected. I couldn't picture him married much less out there functioning in the world. The author did a fantastic job of changing my mind and bringing a close to one of my all time favorite series.
Jeremy has always had Jacob by his side and depended on him to communicate for him. When a vision throws him for a loop he reacts without thinking are talking to his twin and starts a chain of events that has consequences he never bargained for. Read this fantastic book and find out how Jacob and Aubrey deal with the situation and how Jeremy redeems himself.
I will always recommend this author and her books. The books give a great perspective on a utopia which I would love to live in. I loved these characters since they first showed as children. I am glad to see how well they finally turn out. Some how she has turned today's world topics into solutions to take back in your own world and feeling good about it. Yes it is fiction and some what fairy tale but really there are lessons which still ring true. Thanks for a great story.
I have been waiting for this book which seems like forever. And L. Ann definitely didn't disappoint. Will Je and Aubrey grow up? Will they fight for what they beleive in? A must read SERIES you will reread over and over! I can WAIT to see what is next! Thank you L. Ann Marie!
I love Jeremy and Jacob they have been my favorite through the whole series! The way they work together and feel each other it was hard watching them struggling! Aubrey was so entertaining! I loved her too! They were right about how sheltered!
Love the Baxter's, MC, Princes, Protector, DC series. Sad that Jeremy and Jacob's story brings it to an end. Loved Jacob, a true brothers keeper, for all the brothers and sisters. Jeremy and Aubrey really put him through a lot. Tough love and the support of the brothers got them straight. Aubrey slowly goes from spoiled bratt to strong confident woman. Jeremy has to grow up a lot. The hurt he caused both Jacob and Aubrey was almost unforgivable, his reason, and willingness to make tings right, redeemed him. Loved Jacob, Aubrey, and Jeremy's story. Loose ends were tied up and the ending left room for more while giving a satisfying conclusion.
L. Ann Marie has nailed it again. I love Jacob, Jeremy and Aubrey's story. I laughed, cried and cheered them all during the entire story. It was awesome to see Aubrey and Jeremy figure out how to be badass adults and equal with Jacob. I am very sad these series are ending but excited to see what world you come up with next. Thank you for the awesome Baxters, MC and Protectors world you created..
I really loved this book. I loved watching the twins grow up in the other books. Jeremy and Jacob are amazing. I love the bond between them . The ups and downs they go through with Little bit . L.Ann Marie really showed what being autistic means not that she hasn't been doing that all along in her other books but you really get meaningful look at it in this book. She is one of my favorite authors . She has always wrote about people who have disabilities that don't let them hold them back. I love that they are bickers and some servicemen. Her books are amazing .She writes about the stuff that is real in todays world and combines that with sexy bikers and sexy servicemen and freaky kids through in. I have read everyone one of her books and reread them all the time .Thanks L.Ann Marie for an amazing world I can escape to when I need a break.
I LOVED it!! This is one of those books that you look at how far you've read and get angry and upset that its almost finished because you never want it to end. I absolutely love this whole series starting with the Baxters and MC!! I really hope more is released. I'd love to read Terry's story and Mase and Devan I could go on and name every other character that hasn't had a book yet lol. Can't wait for more!
So well written, hot, sexy and wild! I absolutely loved this book just as I have each book in each series. The storyline just grabs you and pulls you in. I love the strong men but the equally strong women make it perfect. It's what drew me to the first book and each book that L Ann Marie has written. I also like that her books take on all social ills plaguing our society. Anxiously waiting for the next book!
This was an awesome book and glad it was the Js and Aubrey that finished it up the series. Can't wait to see what you have in store. If you are looking for an excellent series to read, then this author is where it at. None of her books will disappoint. Great Job.
Loved this book but I was heartbroken when I got to the end and realised that this was the last book in the 4 series. I have loved every book and don't want the series to end :-(
I absolutely love this series from book 1, I so want to live in there badass world,I have wanted there to be a js and Aubreys book since reading geeks book and it was really worth the wait, l Ann Marie your head is so powerful I don't no how you do it every book gets better and better thankyou for bringing badass to my life.
