I had to DNF. I Expected some dangerous encounters, but non-con and rape are hard No's for me. Just, can't.

The second story has nothing to do with romance. It's non consensual BDSM, rape, and no HEA or HFN.

THE KING by SKYE WARREN
I loved the Endgame series and like everyone else I wanted to know more about Damon and Penny!

Can I just say this was so much more than I expected. I was so surprised at how quickly I fell in love with Penny. I already loved Damon from The Pawn, The Knight and The Castle and was intrigued by Penny in My Sweet Villaintine, but this is so much more about who they are. Penny was so gut wrenching and her story was shocking. I loved the way Damon tried to protect her and how he gave himself up to save her.

For me, Penny was so much more complex than Avery was. Penny seems so much stronger....I'm not sure if is the way she fights against the easy road or what. Don’t get me wrong I loved Avery, but Penny was dealt a bad hand in the game of life and although Damon wants to protect her, the fact that he knows she exists may actually be the worst thing that can happen to her. I can’t wait to see where their story goes in The Queen!

DISGRACED by NATASHA KNIGHT
It took me a bit to realize that this was the continuation of sorts of the book Dishonorable. This book features a different brother and sister, but it is probably best to read them in order.

Damon is ready to become a priest, but he crosses paths with Lina who he has been drawn to, yet when he first met her she was off limits due to her age. When he realizes that she is in trouble and he wants to be the one to protect her even if he should be staying as far away from her as he can.

This is taboo on a few different levels, but oh so good! It was dark and twisted and the people that Lina is indebted to are not the type of group you want to owe anything too. She is willing to do anything she can to keep Damon from getting hurt, but unfortunately the mafia doesn’t play fair. It keep me on the edge of my seat wondering how she was ever going to get away and if in the process she would lose Damon forever.

It was a great deal. Twelve books for free.
Some books were great. I would read book one and then need to purchase and read the rest of the series.
Others were a struggle to finish especially the BDSM/rape one. However, I finished it and it turned out better than I thought. It was not my cup of tea but it had a decent ending. So don't give up, skip some of that unpleasant and keep reading.

I did find new authors to read and a couple that I may not read again. But a great deal.

I like free box sets. But I just could not read this one. I got part way into the first book when I quit.
Why you might ask?
I despise fiction that includes physical abuse, torture, or rape scenes.
That stuff is in this first book, plus more. I didn't bother to read any further. This is very dark stories, judging by the first book. The blurb promises alpha heroes and strong heroines, but I didn't find any of those in the first book.

This is not a set I would recommend, and the blurb is very deceptive as far as what it promises and what the set delivers. If you like sick, twisted relationship stories ...... well, I wonder about you; and about the author who wrote that first book. Don't know what the rest of the books are like and didn't care to find out. The first author is to blame for that.

DNF. First book by Ms. Warren was pretty good but the second book was horrible. The overuse of the c u next Tuesday word was a huge turnoff for me but the rape scene did me in. There is no coming back from that and anyone that says it was romantic is deranged. Stopped reading the entire collection because of that.

into a world of betrayal, manipulation and forbidden
seduction.The characters were rich,diverse and
complex.The subject may be controversial for
some but the execution kept the pages turning.
This can be read as a standalone but I recommend
reading book one to familiarize yourself with the
characters and their relationships.

I haven't read all of them yet but from I have read I can only say it's amazing and I love it when different authors come together with short reads and put it all together in one collection for their readers. I will reveiw Bella Love Wins - His Ex's Little Sister

A short, steamy great read by Bella Love-Wins about an ex military hot man, Reid, and his ex's little sister, Robin. When he sees Robin sing at a bar he knows he has to have her not realizing who she is but she remembers him. Robin hates him after what he did to her older sister 9 years ago and confronts him at the bar but doesn't tell him everything. Reid won't let up until he knows the whole truth as to why she has held a grudge all these years towards him but there is more to the story than either of them know. But when her life is in danger he has no problems protecting her, and protects her he does unfortunately he states something to her that she doesn't believe and confronts her sister but that only leads them both into more danger....will he get there in time?
A great fast paced read with some suspense, lust/love and confronting the past to be able to move forward, secrets and lies that finally come to light and moving on from the past.

Can't wait to read the rest of these stories as I have no doubt that they will be just as amazing.

Annabel Joseph's Torment Me is in the anthology. That's the best reason to buy it right there. Here is my previous review: Chere isn’t happy with her life as a high-class escort, but she can’t seem to find the motivation to change. This is a fantastic deal, twelve books for .99 cents! Twelve talented authors and twelve stunning books, how can you go wrong?

I usually never do this but I had a favorite in this collection. "Disgraced" by Natasha Knight. This book will grab you on page one and not let go, which I find to be an absolutely wonderful thing when it happens. We met Damon and Lina in book one and I knew their story was going to be special. No spoilers here, but if you are looking for the typical wine, chocolates and flowers romance this book is not that but is all the better for it. Seriously. Carve some time out of your schedule, turn up the AC, grab a glass of ice water and hang on for a spectacularly wild ride. This book stands alone, but if you haven't read book one; why not? You don't know what you are missing. Quit reading here - go read the book!

Great collection

The thing with compilation books as this unless you look into the books that are in it beforehand you don't really know what your getting.
King great read will definitely be reading the series but there is another series before this Avery and Gabriel's (Endgame series) story who featured in King. Would liked to have read that first but not essential. Torment Me great read first in the series definitely be reading the rest. Didn't read disgraced as second in series, can probably be read as a standalone but I would rather read them in order. Not going to review all books but would say all those that have a follow-up have all gone on my wish list they are all well worth the read grab a copy if you haven't read some of these authors it's a great place to start.

Great boxed set with amazing group of authors, I haven't read all of the books yet but asap, I 'll. I voluntarily read and review this book.
This review is for Relent is Book 1 in the Sydney Storm MC Series by Nina Levine. This's Kick and Evie's story, an MC second chance romance. Childhood friends, until an accident happened and a scandal followed and their lives changed forever. "We'd always be those kids who loved each other. Underneath all the shit that was me today, I still loved her."(Kick) The plot is raw and amazing, lots of action, drama, danger, heart melting moments and lots of emotions. If you're a fan of the Storm series, then this book is for you. AWESOME!!
