Once, it was all about the venom. The poison and the power. Now, well, it’s just the passion. Some of the power. Some of the glory.
But mostly just love.
What a turnabout this story takes . You'd think you've figured out the course, you've sassed the end, but Shanora say - No Baby, the movie isn't over yet !!
It's a fast paced thriller, lots of action, bullets, revenge , and hardcore sex.

The book starts where Book 2 finished and Gianna is regretting her actions and licking her wounds. Guilt and longing fills her heart and she's slapping herself silly . But hindsight, as they say , is 20-20.
This book delves deep into the cartel workings and the revenge part . The Queen is ready to stand by her King but heavy lies the head that wears the crown.....and they are right!!!
Jefe is more powerful, more slaughtering, more cold blooded than he's ever been. You'd be surprised at how stone hearted or closed off he can be. Shanora shows us why he's the Boss and the King , in every graphic detail as possible !

I thought I knew what all The Jefe could do. I thought I had him completely figured out. I was wrong. I see now that he would travel thousands of miles and set this world ablaze with each footstep when it comes down to the people he loves. He will let the entire world know he’s on the hunt— that a minor set back doesn’t have shit on his comeback— and there is nothing this world can do to stop it.
He is the boss.
The king.
The fucking Jefe.

He looks almighty and all-encompassing ...and HE IS !.
he knows everything, sees everything, senses everything and justifies his kingpin reputation once again.
My heart was pounding throughout. The sex and Jefe mouthing sexy Spanish made me swoon.
Never thought Spanish was an aphrodisiac before !

“Está panochita está bien mojada,”
“Ruégame,”
“Ahora, niñita.”
“Cojeme mas fuerte, Jefe,”
“Eres toda mía, Gianna. Para siempre.”

And Gianna surprises most of all..omg what cojones this woman has. She's no longer scared, cowering or doubtful. I loved her metamorphosis from a Princessa to Reina-Patrona
Shanora has wound up the story on the same note that is carried in previous two book.
Live by sword , must die by sword. Cartel or mafia life is a one way street and you're reminded ( hammered) again and again and again. Very graphic, very violent and very scary.

A woman of power.
A woman of strength.
A woman who knows exactly what she wants and what to expect from this fucked up world.
My woman.
She’s no longer the niñita that was shackled and weak.
She is strong.
She has risen.
She is Queen.
Mi reina.

I loved the enormity of the passion in the story , both overt and covert.
I loved the hardcore loyalty of every character -Clark, Patanza, Emilio, Mama Molina, Ruben
I loved the clarity of vision that Shanora instills in both Gia and Draco
I loved the stark truths of Cartel life that Shanora so unapologetically highlights .
I loved the ending, it was so perfect

"El Jefe y La Patrona.
The fucked-up story of how we came to be.
Of how we became one.
Of how we fell in love."

Si, è finita. Proprio finita.

3 Meh stars

I know, surprising right? I gave the first two books in this trilogy five stars and so you know my expectations for Venom and Glory were very high.

Have you ever been on a date with someone you really liked and when you go out on your third date, you are ready for more awesomeness? But somewhere in the date that person pissed you off and no matter how many times the person says sorry or tries to get you to forget you just can’t.

Yeah that’s how I feel about this book.

First off the author does a wonderful job in recapping the book because let’s be honest, I forgot what happened. That’s what happens when you release the books not closely together. I kind of thought this book would be longer and more original? Gah I hate to say it, but it has been a long time since the last book.

The book started out okay.

Gia felt guilty and Draco was angry. I kind of like this dynamic because it gave the book a lot of tension and I love that the Heroine was begging for attention. I like a cruel hero. The interaction between the two was minimal but again I thought that was okay.

Then I got pissed. For about it bored me to tears! I hate to say this because I love the series so much, but what was the author thinking? Usually this stuff doesn’t bother me, but the book is so darn short to begin with.

After this I kind of gave up on the book and was powering my way through. I felt like I only finished the book because I loved the first two so much.

I kind of liked it was short and I kind of hated it was short. I liked it was short because it wasn’t really good and I hated it was short because I didn’t get anything from the storyline.

If I had it my way I felt like the first 50% of the book should have been two storylines, 1.) Draco still mad at Gia and 2.) they both hunted for Hernandez together. Then the second half of the book should have been a totally different storyline. Like hunting for Henry? Or maybe Gia gets pregnant and Draco has to deal with that on top of someone coming after him?

I just felt like the story I got was kind of a wash out. I didn’t care for it. It didn’t have the writing beauty of the first two books. The first two books had this power story between these two powerful characters. The chemistry was so charged and vamped up! Gah, I wanted that for this BOOK!

I’m so disappointed.

BUT I still love the author.

Ah fuuuck...
I hate when this shit happens...
When the final book in the series ends up barely making a 3 star rating, it pisses me off...cause i feel like i've been ripped off...

I ll explain...

so, in the previous installment (book 2), Gia makes a rash, impulsive decision and that action leads to a huge clusterfuck. She's taken away by Draco's enemy Hernandez (who is BTW, a woman and has a very intense history with Drago, hmmm, go figure!), and then Draco's latest shipment goes flat, and people die...people close to Draco...

and all that cause of the grugde of a woman scorned, and her sick ambition to take over the drug deals across Mexico (thus Draco needs to go!)

Anyway, the casulties are huge and this impact sets the relations between Draco and Gia to shit, cause well, he blames her, cause she betrayed him by doing shit behind his back.

Fact 1. that one is the truth - she was annoyingly rash and heisty and self-righteous, thus leading it to clusterfuck

Fact 2. He should have checked the circumstances better, cause needs to be on top of every single thing, and he wasn't, so it can't be all on her...right?!

Fact 3. Everyone turns teir back on her and yet they protect her (I really didn't get the connection - see, she wanted to get under Draco's skin, make him compliant so she can make him do her bidding, she wanted to escape the whole time, cause she hates this life imposed on her even though she did ACCEPT him...hmmm, now, after all is said and done, Draco hates her but yet he doesn't, he loves her, but he doesn't say that to her, cause he can't face her, so he sends her away, cause I m not quite sure WHY? (cause he's blaming her for the whole shit ordeal, cause he can't focus on dealing whit this clusterfuck aftermath, or cause he loves her and wants to protect her...I'm lost, maybe it's all of the above...I dunno)

So, he sends her back home, to the States (to her family) and then he leaves her recordings of his love confessions...gah!!!

Of course, after she lands home, a few days pass, and voila she decides to go back to Mexico, cause suddenly she's determined to bring him back, cause he needs hee and she loves him too...
(oh, brother...)

so, this is like around 70% of the book, and I mostly rolled my eyes...those two were like petulant kids having their emotional tantrums and everyone around them are "explaining" the emotions they feel for one another, cause they don't understand them, themselves...
Really?! *sigh*

then the whole action starts, yeah they get the bad guy (pardon me, a woman) and they live happily ever after...

come to think of it, as I write this, I'm still pretty disappointed...

since book 1 & 2 were so promising...this was so lame, that I'm on a verge of giving it a 2 stars rating...but since the previous books were beyond average and good...I'll leave it at 3 stars...but it still leaves a bitter taste...

4.5 perfect ending to one wild ride of a series

If you've read books one and two then you already know that Gianna & Draco have one of the wildest love hate, push pull, up down, relationships. Venom & Glory was no exception. They had their heated passionate moments, and they had their deep dark moments.

It was full of suspense, and action, and it had a big pay off finish. Full of the characters we've come to love and even a few new ones. Great full circle story telling by S.Williams. I'm sad to see this series end, but absolutely loved the ride!

All hail El Jefe! Wooooohoooo what a friggin ride! Ohhhhh why must it end?

So first- What in tarnation came over Gia? Who died and made her El Jefe? I don't think I've ever been as MAD with a character. Gia doesn't have two pennies to rub together to create a spark of common sense! If I could have, I would have slapped that chicka from Mexico to the other side of Asia. Yes that's how bad she messed up!! El Jefe has to come to the rescue again and prove why he OWNS Mexico! Woooooossssaaa!!

Without spoilers I have to warn you about three things. Why? Because the adreneline may be too much and you may fall into a dead faint! What if you're alone when you faint from the adreneline rush? I would feel terrible I didn't warn you! So three words to help you prepare for the inevitable: No Arms, Thiago, and last but not least, that no neck, cabbage head Hernandez!

So in closing remember, wine for your nerves, a pillow to smother any screams and cuss words that are guarenteed to pour forth with a vengeance, and a mild sedative to get you through the "wtf's"!

Five stars baby!

WOW!!

You thought the first two books were nail bitters.... Just wait to you read Venom & Glory. To say I was shocked is an understatement. JEFE and Gia are one powerful duo.....but where book two ended, well they are in a bit of a pickle.

Decisions are made.
Hearts are broken..
El Jefe will do what ever is necessary to protect his queen.

S Williams has outdone herself that is for sure. This story is far more angsty and heartwrenching then the others. It takes on a different toll and we also see a different side to the BIG.. BAD.. JEFE...

No one is safe.
Death at it's finest hour. .
There will be blood. . .

I can't believe this series has come to an end. The Venom Trilogy is one epic ride that I will never forget! It's dark....It's sexy.... and your panties will definitely be wet. The Jefe will do that to ya! XD

Get ready for the epic conclusion to Gia and Draco.
Have tissues, because the ending will leave you teary eyed.

Now that is how you tie all loose ends for a story like Draco and Gia's! Jaw-dropping. Hair-raising. Stomach-turning. Venom & Glory was just as brutally violent, bloody, and heart-crushing as the first two books.

Don't expect anything less. And don't get too attached.

You're in for yet another one helluva ride with this one. So brace yourselves, because this finale will leave you at the edge of your seat from cover to cover.

5 stars! One of my top favorites this year!

I'm trying to come up with words that will express how much I FLOVED this book without giving spoilers away. I know that whatever words I write won't do justice. I'm so in love with this story and these characters that I didn't want it to end. This book was EVERYTHING! I knew that it would be a top favorite even with a few chapters in. It is a rare instance (nowadays) when a book will give me anxiety and keep me turning the pages non-stop because I need to know how it ends. It was raw, gritty, angsty, gripping, emotional, and an intense roller coaster. I kept shedding tears often (I wasn't expecting that) and I was rooting so hard for Draco and Gianna to make it! El Jefe and La Patrona are one of my all-time favorite power couples! We saw them grow as the series went on. They learned from their mistakes, but it also made them stronger. I'm so happy with how this series ended! Bravo to Ms. Williams who did a brilliant and perfect job!

4.25 🌟 I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy. The first two books weren't amazing, but they kept my interest for sure. This one was wordy at times. Overall, I enjoyed it so much I read it in one night. If you like dark mafia romance, then you need to read this trilogy.

5 STARS AND MORE!!!
"Enough of the fucking games. This bitch is fucking with the wrong man."
Hernandez signed a check she honestly thought she could cash. El Jefe was going to put a stop payment on that one. After seeing what she did to Thiago (rest his soul), all Draco good think of was revenge. Betrayal is never easy to accept, especially when it comes from someone you love. Had Gianna not let Ronaldo/No Arms/Henry go, Thiago would still be alive and Draco's territory still in his possession. Gianna knew this and she knew Draco felt the same way.
"Death by Indigo. That’s what they are called. They are beautiful, alluring. All you want to do is touch them—feel them. See how they smell. You can smell. You can look. But you cannot touch. One fistful without gloves can ruin your life. They are the deadliest flowers on earth. They are banned because one touch on one tiny finger could paralyze a whole hand. They are poisonous and toxic. They are exactly what you have become to me." -Draco
OUCH! I love his cruel words and deadly bouquets.

Gianna FINALLY sees & feels the damage of her betrayal. And Draco, bless him! He loves her as much as he hates her. He knows Hernandez won't stop until she has it all. Gianna is someone that can be used against him and he can't risk it. He wants to choke the life out of her while fucking her at the same time. He can't stand to look at her because all he can think of is how she betrayed him. He knows he deserved & earned her hatred but losing Thiago is unforgivable. She has to go.

"I am fucked up and cruel. I am corrupt and I enjoy all of this more than I care to admit. I thought I was heartless, but having you around proved me wrong.”
“You are heaven and hell. Peace and chaos."
She owns way too much of my body, has claimed my fucking soul. -Draco

Gianna refuses to quit. She has to prove herself and earn El Jefe's trust again. He had become her person. Hernandez has to be stopped and Draco is losing himself in the process of tracking her crazy ass down. He needs his Patrona.

I was on edge throughout the entire book! INTENSE, ANGST, HEARTBREAK.... Gah, it's all in there!! I hate that this series is over BUT I hope we can get a spinoff and see more of Clark Nicotera!! Like Thiago, I didn't like him at first but his crazy ass grows on you.

She is strong.
She has risen.
She is Queen.
Mi reina.

Holy gun and cocaine! Now that I've finished this book, all I want to say, I'm proud of my heart. It's been played, stabbed, burned and broken, but somehow still works.

I loved this story, this whole series! It's dark and intense, and so damn much brilliant. ♥

This felt like a chore to get through.

I still don't really care for the couple, the story dragged, and there was so much build-up to getting revenge on a certain character that just fizzled out with a quick fight scene. Additionally, the writing was trying too damn hard to be poetic and inspirational and I was so tired of it by the end. I guess I did warm up to Draco a little and he *does* have a heart but I ultimately didn't care about their romance.

Series:
Book 1: Passion & Venom → 3 Stars
Book 2: Venom & Ecstasy → 3 Stars
Book 3: Venom & Glory → 2.5 Stars

Shannon Williams writes dialogue (inner and spoken) in a really OTT manner. Gianna has got to be one of the most tstl heroines I've read - where I've gotten a trilogy to fall in love with her.

Honestly, the flamboyant speeches and thinking she's the shit had me going "stfu Gia", and down below I will list a few examples.

Eg. 1 of stfu Gia: Gianna has just betrayed Draco which led to his cousin/bestfriend being killed, yet this girl is still dying to be called "Patrona" (Boss). Count your blessings hon, and chill.

“Her hand drops, her agitation on full display now. “Get on the fucking jet, Gia,” she snaps at me.
“It’s Patrona to you,” I bite out.”

E.g 2 of stfu Gia: For once she does something cool and actually kills somebody. Yay Gia! But ruins it by following it up with some looooong ass speech. 🙄

E.g. 3 of stfu Gia: Her repetition hurt me. We know Draco is head of the mafia but she goes on and on about his rep. Please, Gia. STFU.

“He is the boss.
The king.
The fucking Jefe.”

Anyways probably my favourite book in the series - maybe because it was the last. I can't say I'll particularly remember it. Pretty much all the fictional men were rapists and Draco beat the shit out of the female antagonist and had sex with her (in the past) to get his groove off, but you know... whatever because he doesn't do that with Gia so it's all fine and dandy. Said female has come back for revenge because she was in love with Draco and wanted to be the "Patrona." Gia has a kid, Draco steps down, they kill the female antagonist ho-bag but I wasn't exactly rooting for their HFN.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I sincerely don't know how I got this far in this series. There are just some novels that aren't all that great but okay enough for you to power through and this was that. Any interest gained from book 2 was lost. I had to re-read my review of the previous novels and it hasn't even been a month since I read them. I still don't understand why I anticipated the arrival of this novel so clearly it missed the mark of what I expected.

I found the irony of their reactions to Gianna just that. Ironic. After all, these are the same people who treated her like shit for days and literally had her sleeping in a cell with faeces in the corner. I think righteous indignation and trust stops at being ass raped. Just saying.

There has never been much to make Draco interesting to me but I did love to see him swing a machete and his morbid obsession with poisonous flowers were interesting to a point but I can truly say that I got a sense of the man behind el jefe from this novel. He showed more emotions and I believe this is the first time we got his present POV? It certainly helped. I understood his inner struggles and his pettiness wasn't bad either and believe me, he can be petty with the best of them! Too bad, I still don't know why Gianna hangs the moon in his world.

I've never known what to make of Gianna Nicotera and that unfortunately didn't change with this installment. I also found it amusing and laughable that with zero training or guidance, the girl who continually buried her head in the sand started to have anger black outs that have her throwing other humans overboard yachts. All of a sudden, she was a ruthless badass and I don't know where it came from but clearly the name Yessica was a trigger. Whether spoken out loud or in her head. There was no build up to her having these moments. One minute she's getting highlights in her hair and the next she's transporting dead bodies from America to Mexico.

Which brings me back to my next question. Why Utah? Was it solely to bring Clark? Because one thing I have always loved about this series is the setting. I love that we stayed true to Mexico and traversed and explore that country and no where else. Until now at least.

Overly dramatic but packed with way more emotion between all the characters, except Gia, this novel basically wrapped those annoying cliffhangers throughout the series. Draco and Patanza open up more and we find someone to rival Thiago's personality and we got the pleasure of meeting the most sensible person in this series. Emilio. As for Gia, she's still trying to prove why she deserves to be queen. Might as well give it to her.

This is a new author for me and OMG I devoured this whole series in less than 2 days! Since the books ended on cliffhangers and I couldn't wait to see what happened next I have read all 3 before I wrote this review and the review will be reposted on each book. This series is dark, gory, and hard to read. This is not for everyone! I rarely give 5 star reviews. This one I had to rate all 3 at 5 stars. The characters were amazing! All of them including the minor characters grew and changed during the whole series. I felt like I knew and liked these people by the end. I have to admit Jefe(Draco) was not likable in the first book. He was crazy as a loon and did some really dark disgusting things but at Gia chipped away at his hard wall he became more human. By the third book in the series he was on the top of my favorite book boyfriend list. So the first book he was really vicious and Gia was just plain annoying. She really wasn't likable until the last book. These books have some very heavy subjects like rape, drug cartels and kingpins, murder, and really detailed disgusting torture scenes. If you are looking for a dark read this is one I really recommend. Draco is not a nice man so if you are looking for one this book is not for you. He was actually really hard for me to like at first. I am so excited about this writer the first thing I am going to do is one click on amazon on every book I can find by her. This series was so good I couldn't put it down and from the first page I was mesmerized.

Gianna's stupid ass has to be the most annoying FMC I've ever read ohhhhh my goodness! I've never rolled my eyes so much in my life.
I couldn't understand the jump from her being a princess doing absolutely nothing for 2 books and a good chunk of this to suddenly becoming this fully trained fighter going with them on missions like...?

“I want to fucking kill you just as much as I want to love you.”

description

“I was afraid of becoming that…but now that it has happened, I don’t see it being any other way. Being what I am now makes me strong. It keeps me on my toes. It gives me something to fight for—and I’m fighting to feel good again.
To be good again.”

description

“They are poisonous and toxic. They are exactly what you have become to me.”

description

“I know we are not good people.
I know for damn sure I am not a good person.
Apart, we are savages—dangerous, lethal, and fucked up.
But together—fuck—we’re perfect.”

description

“He can’t love me,” I tell her. “He shouldn’t love me.” “Well you know what?” Her tone is rhetoric as she stands up. “He does. I’m sure he wishes he didn’t, but he does. If there is one thing I know, it’s that you can’t fight love. You can’t ignore it. You can try, but it won’t work. It will only make you think about the person even more.” She walks past the second recliner, into the aisle. Her eyes don’t meet mine when she says, “We’ll be landing soon.”

“You want me to talk to you—tell you how I feel? Fine. I’ll tell you what I feel,” he seethes, holding my eyes, his fierce and dark. “I never should have trusted you. I should have left your spoiled ass in that cell to fucking rot. It would have spared me all of the trouble and would have prevented all of the mess that I now have to clean up because of you. I never should have tried to love you.” My heart nearly fails me.

Death by Indigo. They are exactly what you have become to me.

“I see now that in order to live this life, sacrifices must be made. So this is my sacrifice. I am letting you go. Not for my sake, but for yours. I have only caused you misery and pain, but you, mi reina, deserve to be happy…even if some of the things you have done may have just cost me my life.”

I will give her the fucking world. I will give her my all. She will be happy. Finally.

El Jefe y La Patrona. The fucked-up story of how we came to be. Of how we became one. Of how we fell in love.

Gia continues to be a liability.

“Your problem is you trust too easily. You’re just like Jen. She believes anything she hears, which makes her vulnerable and weak at times. She’s too damn gullible. Now I get why he sent you back. You were a danger to his business. You can’t believe everything you hear, Gia. You can’t trust every man you meet, no matter how honest they seem. That motherfucker right there is a prime example of a wolf in sheep clothing.”

Gia has the gift of hearing but she fails to use it to understand that her actions always seem to put someone in danger. Attempting to live up to the title of La Patrona 'The Boss' she gets too big for her britches. In the final installment, she somehow morphs into a total badass, killing federal agents because they made her mad. Once she returns to El Jefe of her own free will, once again her anger leads her to kill a former ally of hers before Draco can question him.

Because the man said:

"Toni always did say she was pretty damn gullible. I just didn’t think, being Lion Nicotera’s daughter and all, that she’d be that easy to fool."

Me: So true.

I want to tell her how stupid she is for doing what she just did— killing the only source that could have gotten us to Hernandez— but I don’t, because she did exactly what I would have done. She killed him.

Me (yelling): She IS stupid! Stop making excuses you wouldn't have killed him yet!

Of course you already know THAT wasn't the last time she didn't listen nor that last time she let her anger rule her trigger finger. El Jefe will make an appearance in the final book of The Cane Series in 'Loving Cane' that drops in September 2018.

4 🌟 “It's El Jefe and La Patrona against the world. Always together, until death does us part. F*ck Bonnie and Clyde. They don't have sh*t on us.”

Well this was an enjoyable trilogy! It was nice to see Gianna and especially Draco get their HEA, even with all the stupid decisions Gia made throughout their journey from enemies to lovers... I felt she redeemed herself in this last book, and thankfully so for Draco's sake, because he deserved a piece of happiness imo.

Also big props to the silent MVPs of this trilogy, Thiago and Emilio! They both were the definition of loyalty through and through. 🫡 I was also glad to see Patanza get her accolades at the end of all of this after her heartbreak. And I didn't expect Clark to be as likeable of a character as he turned out to be. Kudos all-around!

The first two books of this trilogy were a bit slow paced imo, but this last book definitely wrapped it all up quickly and I have no complaints. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys dark romances centered around cartel/mafia/mob type MCs; I know I definitely want to read more dark romances in this subgenre because Draco Molina was intense in all the best ways! 🫠

This is just after 5 chapters in:
Wtfh... Just how stupid can you be..
So Gianna did something very stupid and because of that someone close got killed.. Then she is surprised and angry that Patanza is angry with her.. Like for real? She knew him years and had a special bond with him, which she new a littlz bit about.. And then she is such a self pity person and whining. If I were her I would have done that, but I would just leave and take the consequences.
For real is she a daughter of some bad high ranking mafia guy, because she's just plain stupid..
I feel bad for the money I lost on this series and the time, but that's totally on me, I just couldn't let it go..
Beyond 5 chapters:
It was slightly better, but still many eye rolling moments.. I'm glad it's over.

This review is personal, so don't let it stop you from reading it yourself.
