Six years on the inside gave a man a lot of time to think. And a lot of time to plan. When I got out, I was determined for things to go a different way. I never wanted to lose control and rage out again.

The only way to accomplish that, though, was to shut it all down.
Complete disconnect.

That meant no family, no friends, no links to anything attached to the man I was before.

Of course the problem was, I never factored HER into my plans. And try as I might, I couldn’t find a way to shut it down, to disconnect from her.

I had a sneaking suspicion she was going to take all my carefully constructed plans and toss them out the window, was going to force me to face up the demons inside and confront the ghosts from my past.

Those ghosts?
They wore the faces of my family.

And a confrontation with them, yeah, I had a feeling it was going to show me that I had spent six years taking action on beliefs about the demons inside. Demons that had never actually existed in the first place…

Title: ➳ ❤Eli
Series ➳Mallick Brothers 4#
Author: ➳ Jessica Gadziala
Published August 31st 2017
💖💖💖💖💖+

ღ I can’t believe I’m finally here! & that I've pretty much readied all of the Navesink Bank Universe books in somewhat of order so far 😈😈Yay I read all the Mallick Brothers

So in mark’s book the author kind left us with somewhat of yearning to read Eli’s book right away…. Which I pretty much did!

I think everyone has expressed their feelings of this book already! But Let me just say I cry so hard for Eli, his story made me crave to just hold this man in my arms…. Then after we got past the broken part of Eli, there was the loving part of this man … I laugh so hard; I cry so hard & how I just loved loved the epilogues

Now there are few things that had me yearning for more in this book & it’s just small list 😈😈
We need Peyton's book & soon! Please
I feel like most of this author’s fans would really enjoy a series about Scottie’s brother’s

I’m not so sure that I’m ready to read Helen & Charlie’s story quite yet …. But if I stick to Navesink Bank Universe timeline I have plenty of time to warm up to them

Oh P.S If you are anything like me suggest box of tissues after spending some time with the Mallick family this time

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion+ Also I wouldn’t never discourage anyone from reading this book,
Happy Reading --- Enjoy ……. Paulette Review

-- Loved Eli.
-- Loved Autumn.
-- Adored Peyton (Does she have a book yet?)
-- I am wondering if Scottie's bother's, have books of their own?
-- The beginning was slow with too much time spent with him in prison.
-- I enjoyed this one more than Shane, but not as much a Ryan.
-- I laughed
-- I cried.
-- I loved the epilogues.
-- I have ZERO interest in reading about the parents of these guys because I could not stand the way they treated their kids. Tough love my ASS, more like straight up abuse. I am not even kidding when I say I wanted to throat punch Helen every time she showed up in a book (lol).
-- Since Mark was a DNF (for now) because I didn't like the heroine. I guess I am pretty much done with this series. But definitely not this author.

I absolutely loved Eli’s book! It just hit me in the feels and really spoke to me. Eli has been the most sensitive of the Mallick brothers but underneath his softness is a monster lurking. To see him trying to change who he is was heartbreaking... especially when he stayed away from his amazing family. I was devastated for him when he tried to isolate himself from the ones he loved.

Thank God for Autumn coming along to help Eli rediscover his old self, and also deal with the lurking monster inside of him. I also was highly entertained by Peyton ( Autumn’s sister!) what a trip she was!!!😂 I have read her book in the Henchmen series and loved it too!

I am loving how all of these series intertwine and all take place in Navesink Bank! I am hooked on this town, and all of the people who live in it!
The Mallick series is one of my favourites because I love the loyalty and closeness all of the brothers have! I can’t wait to dive into the River brothers series as well! I’m sure it will be just as good as the stories I have read so far!!!
I can’t believe it took me so long to read Mark and Eli’s books!!! I am not ready to leave this town yet, and I’m glad there are plenty more stories for me to read in it!!!

Since the 1st book in this series I wanted to read Eli's story. He always was an interesting and mysterious character for me.

My main struggle was his cruel, IMO, decision to cut ties with his family.
Despite his family being in criminal business, they were amazing and caring.
He hurt them. He hurt them much.
And I didn't understand why was it necessary. I got his shame and embarrassment, but it wasn't plausible in my eyes. His time in jail wasn't fair, he saved a woman and the justice sucked. Why was he humiliated? And even if he had a reason, it was a coward move to hurt his family.

Very likable heroine.
But her sister stole the show *fangirling* 😜
The star of the book was the dog. Loved him to the moon and back ☺.

I didn't expect the light bdsm aspect in MCs sex life. Not quite my coppa and I had a feeling it didn't fit into the story. I don't get aroused reading a flogging scene. But it's me...

I appreciated no drama-lama at the end.
Last 40-30% of the story were sweet and touching.

Loved the epilogueS!!!

And now I need Kingston's story.
Dying to read his book *insert dreamy eyes emoj*

Eli Mallick is FINALLY HERE and ROCKED my world!!!

She was fucking perfect. Every goddamn subtle curve, every soft line,
every dip,it was all goddamn flawless.

OHHH MY GOD!

OHHH MY GOD!!

I enjoyed this book so much! Did I mentioned I loved Eli? Since I started reading Jessica's books, every time Eli was mentioned I was intrigued and wanted to know his story asap. So Jessica well done with this book because I loved it and I couldn't get enough of it!

description

Eli Mallick was a tortured soul and he captured my heart since the very first time. This book was heartbreaking, sad, sweet, and all these mixed feelings that not only Eli, but the whole Mallick Family had for losing so much. The Thanksgiving scene was my undoing. I was devastated with the powerful feelings and how hurt all of them were.

description

Now the hot parts of this book were pretty good too. Eli was a kinky motherf*cker and loved everything about it. They were fire together. And had me on fire too with their hot, rough, steamy scenes. But they were sweet as well, which was nice. Eli was an amazing hero and he deserved an equally amazing heroine to get his hot ass under control once in a while. Autumn was really great! She was sweet, smart, lovable and had a dose of kinky herself. They found love in a hopeless place.Autumn was the key to help Eli find himself and love his imperfections, not despise them just because he was capable of some things or be scared to deal with them. She was perfect for Eli!

"...You brought him back from the dead."

description

P.S. Autumn's sister, Peyton was fucking crazy, funny, and fabulous at the same time! I'm hoping she will get her own book!!! Jessica make it happen, please. Fingers crossed...

How could I possibly dismiss this broken hero? I've been getting hints and clues and innuendos galore since I started this series that something happened to Eli. What? I didn't have a clue. And I know that there's a certain reading order to the Navesink world, but I had to disregard all of that in order to get to the truth.

So what happened to the youngest Mallick brother?
💔 unlike the other brothers, Eli and Hunter weren't cut out for the violence of their family's business. I already knew that Eli was the last choice, the one most likely to get lost in a rage, and that he needed someone on the job with him to pull him back.
💔 Eli was softer, warmer, and had the heart of an artist. That was his passion, but he couldn't find a way to make it his life.
💔 He couldn't see someone suffer, be it woman or animal. He was a hero, a knight in shining armor. Unfortunately, one day, he was in the right place, at the right time, with the wrong people. He served six years for doing the right thing :(
💔 while serving his time, he cut out his family. He felt that he needed to control his rage and being a part of his family, it would stay at the surface. So he had to shut them out. Cut off his feelings. Kill his heart.

And then he comes out. All of the Mallicks couldn't be happier, until they realize that he wants nothing to do with them. The only one he lets in is the woman who stole his dog - Autumn. Now this woman, she was an amazing character. After taking in Eli's dog, she finds out where Eli is and keeps him updated. Those updates turned into conversations, and a bond was made. Those letters were Eli's only link to the outside world, so when he gets out, it's no surprise that she's who he turns to.

However, the shining star of this book, the character that really stood out, was Peyton. This chick was a hot mess of awesomeness! I freaking loved her and I hope a book exists for her because she is a character that needs her own story. While this story was utterly heart breaking, it was livened up with Peyton's humor and the incredible eroticism that existed between Eli and Autumn. These two were sexxxxxxxxy!

Finally, Eli’s book! I’ve been excited to read his story ever since I cracked open the first one in the series. He’s a damaged guy, and I loved watching his healing process. This book has a bit of one of my favourite tropes - the penpal trope! Autumn adopts his dog after he goes to prison for 6 years for a crime that, while he did commit, he shouldn’t have been convicted for.
To be honest, I was a little disappointed that that subplot led nowhere. He beat up a powerful politician who had been publicly beating on his wife. No one should have convicted him for this. The others in the series had a hint of suspense, and I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop once he got out of prison, but unfortunately nothing came of it.
All in all, this is still an entertaining and sweet love story for the last of the Mallick brothers!

While I adored Eli and loved Autumn it was Peyton that stole the show. She was not only to comedy relief but for once an author wrote a supporting female character who gave GOOD advice!

Eli & Autumn. Eli is the youngest Mallick brother serving a six year prison sentence for "raging out" and beating an abusive husband. While in prison he's determined to become a different man away from the family business and close himself off from his family so he can get himself under control. Autumn witnessed him being arrested and took his dog into her care & wrote to Eli giving him dog updates. Now out of prison he looks Autumn up and they begin a relationship where she and Eli work on his dark side tendencies and she trying to reunite him with the family he doesn't want to see. An emotional book filled with sadness, humor (A's sister Peyton is hilarious), redemption, and family. Gaziala weaves such great story lines bringing her characters from Navesink Bank to life in each other's books and above all the crimes they commit, family is the most important. I'm reading in Navesink Bank Universe order.

So many feels for Eli!.

This is the book I've been waiting for, The one that held all the question marks for me.
Eli surpassed any expectations I had before going into this story.

This story like all of Jessica's previous one's holds that unique originality, her own stamp. A fantastic world she's build with well thought out plots and intergrated characters.
Eli is different to his brother. As much as he is a badass he's also a far more gentle soul, he's wasn't born with his type of brutality.. he was made to be like that.

I think the story progressed in a way that was perfect for Eli. It wasn't rushed, there is no quick family reunion and all is swept under the rug. The type of man he is he needed that time. I loved that Autumn and Payton are very much a part of his story, I don't think you could of found any two characters who gave him what they did without pushing him into something he wasn't ready for. He's the sweetest damaged soul I've read in a hot minute and honest to God I lost count of the time I feel in love with him in his story.
Autumn, she's one of my top favourite heroine's to date from this author and this year. Not just because of how she was with Eli, the lack of judgement the understanding, patience and adoration. But just because as a person she's someone I could see myself being best friends with. She's a sweet feisty beaut wrapped up in a gorgeous package of awesomeness. She's relatable which makes it so easy to not only connect with her but fall in love with her to.

Their story isn't one filled with a boatload of crazy happenings. The pace is slower, but no less consuming. I loved that it's perfectly imperfect, It's relatable. It's a story filled with pain, guilt, forgiveness and redemption. His journey of self forgiveness and acceptance wasn't a smooth sail but it was meaningful one. Their relationship is built from the ground up. I couldn't love two characters anymore together than I do these. Their chemistry, connection .. everything is written to perfection. It draws you in completely and your rooting for them every step of the way.

I loved all the side characters just as much. They add that special touch to the story. But a special shout out to Payton cause that girl fucking rocks. I want to be her best friend!.

Cannot gush enough about this and no doubt I'll be back to add more to this once my thoughts clear.

Amazing finish with the Mallick family

I have been a fan of the authors for a long time and although I love all her books I especially loved the Mallick family, in particular Eli Mallick. Every once in awhile you read a book and a side character jumps out at you for whatever reason, well this was me when Eli had a small mention in earlier books. I just wanted more, I knew there was more to this character and have awaited this book for a very long time. The main character Eli has his own demons he needs to make peace with, unfortunately he pushes away the people that he needs the most. Through a twisted fate he meets the heroine, Autumn, and slowly opens himself back up. Something that has resonated with me this past year is falling back on the love of your family and close friends is the best medicine, what's the saying home is where the heart is, I think reading this book holds meaning to that saying. Where there is emotion there is also laughter, in the form of an ugly but cute mutt and a sister with mermaid colored hair and a foul mouth, trust me you will want more! Although I'm sure we will read more of the Mallicks in other books, I think Eli was the perfect conclusion to this kickass, strong, loyal and lovable family. And as always the epilogue was bomb.

This was so, so good! I loved Eli and Autumn. Heartbreaking, funny, sexy. I got it all here with these two, along with Autumn's sister Peyton! I love the way JG doesn't fill with unnecessary crap, she just gives it to you straight and in this story Eli gave it to Autumn pretty damn good! :)

Totally worth the wait!!

Oh Eli.
Me along with many of Jessica's other readers have been patiently waiting for this book. Our obsession began in the first Mallick book (Shane) where we were just given little facts about him. As the books progressed so did the information about Eli. We learned he wasn't like the rest of his brothers & our hearts grew bigger for him.
When he got hauled away at the end of Mark I was crushed & just couldn't see how Eli was going to get his HEA.
I should have know Jessica knew what she was doing since she basically put my heart back together with his book. Now dont get me wrong Elis story is hard to read because you have this great guy who got put away for doing something right but yet he stills sees himself as a piece of shit monster. Enter Autumn. She was such an amazing character & her sister is a freaking hoot! They both have no problem fitting into the Mallick family.
Autumn was so good for Eli & I love how their "friend/relationship" began with the letters & then grew more when they finally come together in person. It also is a plus that there was a dog thrown in the story. 😉
I would like to just throw out a warning to all......Be prepared to cry. & yeah you can go ahead & say "oh I never cry from books".....thats gonna change when you read this bad boy! I was a sobbing mess but I loved every second of it.

This is the last thing I'll have to say on this review & I've said it before.....you do not mess with Mama Mallick! She's my damn hero y'all! ❤

This book was absolutely amazing Jessica!!

4.5 happy stars

Peyton stole this show for me!!! OMG I loved her and laughed out loud at the stuff she was saying like calling Eli 'Hottie Mc Death Row' - holy shit!.. I snorted really loudly at that funny as fuck line!!!
In fact, God, Jessica has written a lot of fantastic lines in this book.

We need Peyton's book next! With a really hot, wise ass, smart, fast talking, dirty talking, big Alpha male preferably from Hailstorm please Jessica!!! (I'd love more of that crew being brought back in)

5 hulking stars!!! I have been patiently waiting for this book.. being a fan of the Mallick brothers Eli is very close to my heart. He was introduced in the first books as a gentle monster who can't control his anger/rage and after the book of Mark we all want to continue reading and find out what happen to the Mallick family.
well as usual Jessica did not disappoint the story of Eli and Autumn (awsome name) is the perfect ending to the series.. Autumn and her sister Payton are very loveable characters you just want to be their friends and you just want to hang out with them they are perfect for Eli..
the story is heartwarming.. Can Charlie and Helen adopt me since their dining table keeps on extending I

Best first line ever

The Mallick family is the kind everyone should have. Eli's story is both happy and sad, but ultimately uplifting. Now we need to find out who has the sense and courage to take on Peyton.

I have got to admit that I jumped into Eli's book before reading the other Mallick brothers' books. I love this author, but like with other faves of mine (Lani Lynn Vale, early Jayne Krentz and Nora Roberts, Kristen Ashley), I get caught up in life and miss books because they are such prolific authors. So, I read Autumn and Eli's story first and will backtrack. Wow! This one got me in the heart. Autumn and Eli were a great couple, even though it was a struggle for Eli to get back (to) his self after being in prison. Add in a dog and letter-writing, and my heart is filled with love for this book.

Wow! Just wow! Ever since Eli entered our lives I have been waiting for his story! It's brilliant. I absolutely adore Autumn! Such a great read. I honestly don't know how Jessica keeps doing it but she does and for that I am internally and eternally grateful! Please please read this book (although really all her books).

Eli was weird. Like, I was uncomfortable with the fact that everybody kept commenting how violent he could be but he would never hit a woman...but he was into flogging his girlfriend? Like, yes, I understand consent, it’s just a combination that makes me uncomfortable in a romance hero.

Finally!!!

I feel like I've been waiting for Eli my whole life and I'm amazed at what Jessica did. I honestly thought I knew how things would play out but I was wrong and I never liked being wrong as much as I do now. This book blew me out of the water and had me in tears! Eli is an amazing man fighting his demons after 6yrs of being in jail. If you don't know who he is you MUST read the other Mallick boys books.
Autumn is the girl Eli falls for and she fits in perfectly with the Mallick clan, I mean come on now she owns a sex toy shop. The supporting characters are amazing and we get a glimpse into other favorite people.
I love how Jessica writes she really knows how to bring this town to life and make us all fall in love with its characters. Thank you!!
