Rate this book
Katy McKenna’s good intentions are going to get her DEAD...

While battling a furry vermin invasion in the spooky attic of her old house, Katy discovers a vintage wooden chest hidden behind a wall. Although everyone assures her the box is legally hers, its incredible contents compel Katy to search for the rightful owner.

Meanwhile, she takes a temp job assisting her hunky P.I. neighbor, Josh Draper. The assignment: Trap a sleazy wife-cheater. Something Katy knows about all too well from personal experience. During a cozy stakeout in Draper’s two-seater, things get awkward as the sizzling tension builds. Who will make the first move?

Since she’s already been searching online for past owners of her home, Grandma Ruby asks Katy to use her sleuthing skills to discover what happened to her bigamist great-great grandfather. Katy’s quest leads her to find an extended family she never knew existed.

Family secrets are revealed, for better or worse... Romance blossoms, for better or worse....
And Katy’s good intentions lead her into a terrifying dilemma she may not survive.

Katy is at it again in this quirky, funny, sweet series. Katy is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters to read as she's gets herself in some of the most awkward predicaments. I have absolutely loved how each book in the series builds on the previous. The heat between the "Viking" and Katy feels so real. As with the previous books there is some seriously hilarious situations, but also some very sad and a little depressing spots. Katy is one of the kindest and most real characters I've read from indie authors and I love how the story grabs you and doesn't let you go. If I could give this series more than 5 stars I absolutely would.

Katy's adventures continue

I love this series about a fun, quirky heroine named Katy and her adorable dog, Daisy. Katy manages to get herself in and out of scrapes again and again. The first book in this three part series was my favorite as it was a little bit more about a murder and the last two books were more light hearted. Still, if this was a real blog I'd read it. Kudos!

Excellent Book!

I loved this book and cried through most of it. It's a carry over from the first two books. Read them first, you'll understand why I was so emotional. I highly recommend the whole series with a. 100 star rating!!! After by Cindy

As we follow Katy and her blog through another adventure, this author provides yet another excellent read. Katy has a habit of getting herself into situations from which it seems hard to escape, and they always seem to involve murder.

This book follows Katy as she attempts to get rid of pests in her attic and, in the process, discovers a wooden chest concealed behind the attic wall. She is adamant locating the real owner of the chest, but because it appears to have been in her home for decades, the owner is probably no longer alive. The chest is hers, everyone reassures her. Katy always tries to do the right thing, so she makes the decision to look into who owns this chest and the circumstances behind its concealment in her attic.

In the meantime, The 'Viking', Katy's hot PI neighbor, is on a stakeout to nab a cheating husband. Grandma Ruby arranges for Katy to tag along. Could things get hot and steamy?

Grandma Ruby, one of my favorite characters, is not without her own secrets. She wants Katy to help her by trying to find out what happened to her bigamist, great-great-grandfather. In the course of her investigation, Katy discovers a long-lost relative she didn't know existed. Could Katy end up in an unsafe scenario as a result of her discovery?

Another item buried in Katy's attic is discovered by Katy and her dad. Could it be another treasure? Or something else? You will have to read to find out.

As with all the books in this series, there Is a lot going on and Katy Is sure to blog about it. I am addicted to this series and can't wait to read the next installment.  Even though there is always a murder in these books, the author has a way of adding humor to the situation. Katy always has the best intentions but she always finds herself in sticky situations. She is funny and has the biggest heart. I could see her as my best friend and everyone should have a grandma like Ruby.

If you love a good mystery, with lots of twists and turns, surprises, quirky characters, a hot PI neighbor, and a dose of humor thrown in you, will love this series.

Too stupid

I enjoyed the first two books in this series but this one was too much for me to swallow. The heroine does such unbelievably stupid things that it just wasn't fun to read.

Unrealistic

I can’t believe all the downright DUMB things Katy did in this book! Meet a complete stranger and show her coins you found worth millions Just dumb. Book was ok but that ruins it for me.

Very satisfying read

I have read all three books in the murder blog series so far. The stories draw you in, and I truly like the main character and her interaction with her family and friends. Looking forward to reading book four.

Wow

Poor Katy. She is always in over her head. I can't believe this Josh thing either. It's terrible, I'm hoping it gets fixed soon.

Not a lot of humor in this one, but kept me reading to see how things would turn out for different predicaments.
