WOW, what an amazing read! Anytime I read one of SJ Bishop's books, I know I will be in for a terrific read and she didn't disappoint with Taking Possession. The only complaint I had was that it ended. I wanted to keep reading, lol. At times I wanted to knock Dash and Annie's heads together to knock some sense into them, but they finally get their acts together. I didn't know how this would play out being that Dash was once married to Annie's gorgeous model sister, but SJ did justice to this book just like she always does. If you have never read a book by SJ Bishop, you are really missing out. I highly recommend her books.

This is the 5th book I read by S.J. Bishop. I'm sorry I couldn't finish this because I disagree with Dash & Anne's relationship. I felt it was dead wrong of Anne to go after her sister's ex husband.

rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. I really enjoyed this book. we meet Anne, teacher and rower who just heard the news of her famous model sister Becca divorcing NFL quarterback Dash. she is sad for them both but has secretly been in love with dash forever. no guy holds a candle to him. speaking of dash, he is in DC for filming ads and invites anne out for supper. dash has always liked Anne. she is fun caring intelligent and will listen to him. he invites her to the filming the nezt day where his new teammate hits on her bit it comes out wrong so anne leaves feeling unappreciated and not worthy. the next thing she knows dash is at her house with food and is mad she left. men...are they ever daft. emotions are high and Annie and dash end up in bed together....a one time deal. dash feels.horrible that he took advantage of Annie but she feels like he ran out as fast as he could. communication people!!! an apology and repeat performance leads to big big secrets that no one can find out...esp her family and the press. will Annie see dash for what he really is.or will.she.remain hopeful? will dash see his faults and what's in.front of him? what will happen when the beans are spilled? good book!!

This is book 4 in the Bad Ballers Series.
Dash Barnes is the quarterback for the Patriots and the now ex-husband to super model Becca Brown. Annie Brown is a teacher, a rower and Becca's older sister. Annie and Dash have always had a special relationship and gotten along great. But what Dash doesn't know is that Annie has secretly been in love with him for 5 years. So when Dash happens to be in town, the same day the divorce is final, and invites her to dinner she almost says no because he is no longer her brother in law and it could cause all kinds of trouble with her family.
This story has it all. The laughter, the drama and even some hot sex. There is only one part of this book that I didn't like but you will have to read it to figure it out because I really don't do spoilers.

I purchased Taking Possession by SJ Bishop September 2017 and this review was given freely.

What a shock! I felt kind of cheated when the first book already had Dash married. I new there was strife between Becca and Dash over "having a family" but I didn't see a divorce/new love with the ex's sister novel coming. I just thought the divorce would be quickly skimmed over in a novel covering one of the other teammates. Dash is kind of clueless about relationships. The interventions by his teammates and friends, Caz and Burke, are at times both insightful and humorous. Annie is relatively isolated except for her co teacher and friend Abe. Their on again off again romance is steamy and rocky but ultimately ends happily.

Another fantastic and intense read by SJ Bishop. Dash and Annie have a chemistry that is smoldering. Dash doesn't know about Anne's infatuation with him, but when they spend a night together, he's hooked and he can't stop thinking of her. They both have confidence issues to deal with, but the more time they spend together, the closer they get, and more doubts that begin to show up. Things get really bad when he blows up on his ex-wife...which is also Anne's sister, and tells her about the pregnancy. Things between them go from bad to worse, but he's determined to be a Part of his child's life, and hers if she'll let him. I'm voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Awesomely entertaining, emotionally engaging, action packed and attention gripping romantic adventure with a complicated family bond and secret baby. Could not put it down.

Annie Brown is sweet, sexy, shy and in love with her sisters recently ex-husband. Dash and Annie are perfect with explosive chemistry and an attraction so hot it could set the whole city on fire. The emotional ups and downs, family issues and crazy attraction made this a totally gripping read that I could not put down from beginning to end. (lots of things went undone in my house, but oh well) Looking forward to more Bad Ballers.

This is a well-written romance with good chemistry between the main characters as well as a good storyline. There is love, complications, and tension but is so engaging you feel their emotions. U voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

I love it when books have a strong heroine, one who has a mind of her own and has no issues with telling the hero what she wants, and I kinda got that with Annie and Dash. I enjoyed this book, and can't wait to read another by this author.

Loved this book from the beginning til the end. The love story between Dsh and Anne was amazing. The fact that it was kinda forbidden with him being her sisters ex husband just made the story. Love loved loved it can't wait for the next one.

How do the families react when one sister gets with the other sisters ex-husband?. Is he on the rebound, does she want what she could never have? Lots of questions answered with the right amount of heat.

Recently divorced Dash has dinner with Annie his ex-wifes sister while in town for a commercial short. Then one thing leads to another and a month later Annie finds herself pregnant with her sisters ex-husband baby. Now to tell him and her family.
This book was a great read and I would definitely recommend it.
