Inconvenient Facts: proving Global Warming is a Hoax

Contrary to the opinions of Al Gore and the UN climatologists, CO2 concentration IS NOT the dominant influence on the global average temperature of the planet. This is why there is NO global climate crisis.

I like to understand both sides of issues, and I’d love to be reassured that everything will be fine. And I heard that Jack Madden had scientific chops, related to the field, and hoped it would be a sound, scientific counter argument against global warming. But I was wrong about his credentials, and hugely disappointed In the “scientific facts”.

Instead, Madden takes numerous shots -chapters! -at Obama, Gore, and Hillary. (Ask yourself why a "scientist" writing a serious counterpoint would launch into a whole chapter of slamming Hillary (emails, Benghazi, LGBT, the Foundation...)....)

He starts by defining global warming as “the increase of global-average temperature of the earth’s surface”, then claims that there has been no such warming since 1998, and therefore there is no global warming. That is basically his whole argument, and he repeats it often.

There has been some such warming. But even if there hadn't been, 90% of solar heat is absorbed by the oceans and only 3% by the atmosphere, and the oceans been heating steadily, in step-tune with CO2. That he doesn't even mention that means he either has no background in the area, or he is deliberately being dishonest.

Instead, he ridicules the idea of the polar caps melting, of the plight of polar bears, of the idea of hurricanes strengthening. He denies any significant connection between CO2 and warming. He points out that CO2 “isn’t poisonous and won’t hurt you”, "the Greenland ice sheet is not delicate or sensitive”, and “it’s been warmer in the past" (sure; the earth was covered with lava before....). And the cavalier way he tosses aside issues - “sea level change isn't important”, “nobody lives in Antarctica”, “commerce would be better off if the Arctic ice melted", “more CO2 in the air is like giving free fertilizer to the poor” - is both ridiculous and callous, and ignores the problems they portend.

So disappointing, yes. And damaging, too, I think.

There are good points to the book, but it tends toward repetition. It could have been edited better, there being many instances of poor grammar and typos.
If you are Judeo-Christian, it will have more appeal to you than it did to me. I find neither religion—AGW nor Christianity—more credible.
