While I'm not entirely sure how I feel about pet play, this book was a steamy, menage read. There is a significant bit of world building on an alien planet where all human females are kept as pets. So of course there needs to be a training center to teach Isabella how to be a pet. Zach and Noah are renowned trainers on their planet but they quickly realize they won't be able to auction off Isabella since she is their perfect pet. Looking forward to more from this author.

HAHAHAHA. This was fucking hilarious, particularly 'cause it is very poorly written. I think the word "wanton" appears at least once per page and all the euphemisms used instead of asshole were ridiculous to say the least. I mean, you're already writing very explicit erotica including MMF and DP, is censorship really necessary? ANYWAY - I had a good laugh with this one and flew through it, so I'm giving it two stars. Ah, it was so bad...

I've recently discovered Sara Fields books and I have to say I am enjoying the series very much. This is another wonderful addition to the series and while I'm not a fan of pet play, this was written to where I did enjoy reading about it. The characters were all very likeable and the story flowed well. Ms. Fields has a way of drawing her readers into the story and by the time you've finished it, you don't realize the time that has passed. I look forward to the next book

DOUBLE THE PLEASURE… DOUBLE THE FUN!

Holy hot Dayhari stars… this little novella packs quite a punch! “Taming Their Pet” is one heat seeking ménage missile with an amazing love story at its heart. With not one but two hot alien brothers, a sweet innocent human bride, an evil villain, one evil (human) kitty and a compound full of “human pets” … the heat seeking factor can’t get much hotter without total Kindle annihilation. Professionally written and fast paced the story flows seamlessly keeping the reader fully engaged from the initial page until the very last (OK, I stopped for snacks). Although the third installment in the “Captive Brides” series “Taming Their Pet” is a complete, standalone novel.

For those seeking (yep, used the word again) to double their… ahem… pleasure do not hesitate to “one click” now, you’ll be so glad you did!

I borrowed this book with Kindle Unlimited and I was really looking forward to reading it. I have loved other Sara Fields books (Terranovum Brides, The Warrior's Little Princess) but this one was just not my thing. I enjoy reading all kinds of stories but like at least a little caring/tenderness/loving in my smut books (as my boys call them) but this book rubbed me all kinds of ways:
- Captive Bride implies some kind of relationship (they bought her to train and sell her)
- pet play should be consensual (she was forced into it when they purchased her)
- service pets are so not my thing (using her as an ashtray or footstool)
- their planet has no free women (unwilling/un-trainable pets are sent away and harshly treated)
- plenty of sex but it's just physical gratification

Smoking hot cover but can't recommend this book

So, this seems like it would be a darker, psychological study of forced pet training and kinky shenanigans but it's not. It's a super fluffy idealized fantasy with a bunch of soft landings (and hard spankings, caning, whipping, etc) and nonsensical world building. Isabella fell into the pet mindframe unbelievably quickly. I laughed out loud at the concept of the "wildcat sanctuary" ... where do I sign up? I scratched my head at the concept of the pens of "feral women"...where did they come from? I found myself much more interested in the society that would be found in the "outside" that was dangled as the worst case scenario for unruly pets....

It was erotic in very superficial ways.

What a bunch of nonsense! I was looking for a dark read. I got a kinky little girl fantasy.
I think it's suppose to be erotic. It's not.
All those "such a good pet" and "what's happening to me I'm not normal" were so so silly.
The heroine accept way to easily to be plugged in all orifices and just want to please two absolute strangers who just want to spark her for any reason. And she likes it! No adaptation needed, no "breaking" her, she just turn from a loved spoiled daughter to a kinky pet, no question asked.

There is no story in this book. It's just repeating the same things over and over.

The words...

While the degradation of women may be a little questionable in this book, the repetitiveness of words and phrases really drove me crazy. I would have much rather seen the word “ass” than the amount of times I saw the phrase “naughtiest bottom hole”. And “keened”? At one point, I was tempted to count just how many times that word was used...... The repetitiveness just really made it hard for me to enjoy this.

She's written a delightfully hot and steamy story combining futuristic elements of sci-fi, space travel, new planets, cultures, and erotic romance. While the beginning is similar to the first two books in this series, the action, adventure, and romance are uniquely different from the other stories. Ms. Fields has created a tale that shows her mastery of this genre. I was totally captivated by this story from the first page. I read it in one sitting and quite literally couldn't put my Kindle down. I give Taming Their Pet my very highest recommendation. Kudos, Ms. Fields, for yet another charming, bewitching, and totally enthralling reading experience!

One final note. This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual ménage a trois scenes. If you don't enjoy sci-fi/action adventures with erotic romance and explicit sexual scenes, PLEASE think carefully before buying a book you won't enjoy. There are always synopses and reviews available on Goodreads, Facebook review pages, and every booksellers' website. Please use these resources so you're certain the book you're buying is one you want to read. PLEASE DON'T LEAVE A BAD REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE AUTHOR! She works extremely hard to provide quality work. If you know you'll object to the subject matter before you buy a book, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.

JUST HAVE FAITH THAT IT’LL ALL WORK OUT

Several hundred years into the future, Earth is so overpopulated that it is a law only to have two children and rarely, except with special permits can a family have three children, and that includes political figures. Each story in this series, while part of the Captive Brides, will read as a stand-alone.

In this third addition to Captive Brides, Isabella Bedard will be taken away and sent to the Earthen Third Child detainment center. From there she will remain incarcerated and held, then sold as a bride to an alien from another planet. Having been raised in the public’s eye since birth, she knows how to act, dress, and put a smile on her face. She has had to learn to be a people pleaser, but when she follows the wrong crowd, her life will take on a new change. Her misbehavior cannot be ignored, and instead, she will be made an example of to the other women incarcerated.

Isabella will be sold to Noah and Zack, brothers from the planet Daharyi, where women are treated as pets. The brothers are well-known on their planet for training and producing quality and well-behaved pets that bring top dollar at the auction markets. Buying an Earth feral female comes with a steep price, but they believe they will be able to make money on her after she is properly trained.

The plot of this story will take the reader on a journey of females as pets, including service pets, ponies, and kittens. There are a few women, who are deemed wildcats and considered untrainable.
The journey from the Third Child detainment center to Daharyi will take days, and Bella will be with only a slight understanding of what is now to be her life. “Her time in the cage had calmed her like it was her very own safe space where she could be herself and not worry about always being in control like she had been brought up to be. It was nice to be told what to do and how to do it and not have to worry about what other people thought. It was nice to just obey.”

She will gradually embrace the dominance of Noah and Zack and surprises them at her acquisition into each setting she is subjected to. Have they found the elusive and mythical perfect pet? “She should be ashamed to be treated like an animal and these women should be too. Instead, they were joyful, exuberant, and most import, they accepted their position as their masters’ pets. It was all so confusing.”

“Accept that you must give in. Accept that you are simply a pet and we are your masters. When you do that, you’ll be free. You’ll learn to thrive in that freedom.”

“She was a human pet. Noah and Zack owned her and would do with her what they saw fit. They could consider her a pony or a kitten or whatever they wanted, and she would have no say, but that fact was okay. She was their pet. She was theirs.”

There is freedom in submission for Bella by her two masters, Noah and Zack. She will be held to high standards, punished harshly but fairly when needed, and rewarded when she pleases them. The story is full of various punishments and explicit sex scenes. “ That’s what a pet means to us. Someone to be kept, cared for, and loved.”

Isabella is living a prison where woman are trained to be brides for alien men. When Isabella gets caught up in a food fight she has to be punished but she's given a choice punishment or become a bride right away. She chooses to go with being the bride of some hot alien men. They take her to their planet where she's treated like a pet. She doesn't obey 100% but she gets aroused by their dominance of her body. She starts training to become one of the pets that all woman are on this planet. But Isabella's special and her new masters Zack and Noah might no be willing to part with her. Can she find love in this new strange place and find where she belongs?

I like this book I thought it was interesting that on earth you can't have more than two children so any others are taken into custody. Isabella is one of the unfortunate ones who ends up at a detainment facility but she is treated better than most because of her father's political standing. She nervous to go and live with alien men but she doesn't want to be severely punished at the facility. At first she's nervous about being a pet but soon she begins to like being a pet. She's also special because she able to adapt to being every type of pet whereas usually a woman is only suited to be one type of pet. Zack and Noah are hard on her put their affection for her grows throughout the book. Noah is more the disciplinarian and Zack is more the gentle giant of the duo. They want Isabella to be happy and when she's able to be any kind of pet they want to keep her as their own. She learns to crave their dominance and love it. In turn both Zack and Noah do everything they can to make her happy even discipline her severely when things escalate between her and Becky at the auction. I really enjoyed this series. It would be fun to possibly see characters that live in the Outside because it was mentioned a lot. A fun read.

Not for me, although that’s my fault for not reading the summary or realizing the title was literal. It wasn’t just the animal stuff, but there’s feeding, watching her use the bathroom, and just kinda generally never letting her do anything herself or without an audience. But I still made it to the end, and I’d be willing to try a different book by the author if it didn’t have that stuff.

Some… odd things that took me out of the story: the alien dick vibrates… which is really funny. I couldn’t stop imagining it making the buzzing sound of a normal vibrator, but it only lasts for one scene. I guess they just forget to use it later? The girl is also constantly falling asleep, maybe I’m just an insomniac but how does someone just always pass out like twice a day? The love interests also fall in love with her “mind”, which I found especially ridiculous because I can’t remember a single scene where they actually talk about (and even then the men are doing 90% of it) something that isn’t sex or pet stuff. Just say you’re all horny and that’s all there is, it’s okay. I’m also not sure why they’re aliens (I guess to justify the weird pet rules) because everything about their appearance (vibrating dick aside) and the planet’s food, people’s names, technology, etc seemed pretty normal.

There were a few inconsistencies as well and the climactic drama was underwhelming and hilariously out of nowhere while also very predictable. I really don’t expect much plot-wise from erotica, but this was still lackluster enough to warrant a note. It also felt generally pretty repetitive, and two of the scenes in particular were near identical.

There’s also a virginity test and I really hate that myth even in fantasy books.

Listened to audio narrate by Patrick Blackthorne. Easy to listen to but I didn't care for the tone, It's probably appropriate for the genre but I wasn't a fan of how the males all seem to talk down to Isabella and the other pets. The guards sounded like stuffy, stodgy bureaucrats.

Isabella Bedard a is an illegal third human child from Earth. She's sent off planet to be married off to an alien. Instead she's bought to become Noah and Zack's pet. There's a bit of non-con here, as she's not given a choice whether to become a pet and failure to be a good pet could lead to her banished to their dangerous outer world.

Noah and Zack are pet trainers from a planet that treats all woman as pets. When they come of age they are trained and sold to 'worthy' owners. Noah and Zack purchase Isabella as a wild woman but quickly learn she's a rare pet who excels in all three types of pets, service, kitten and pony.

This is all about pet play and spankings for naughty pets.

Isabella goes from virgin to ménage, and craving the pain and from spoiled, pampered daughter to wanting to serve, in almost no time. I didn't feel their connection, their affection seems to only stem from how good a pet she was and nothing really about her.

Very little story, mostly about the kink and sex, but if you like reading about pet play you may enjoy it.

Sara Fields has given us another excellent entry in her Captive Bride series. It's the most intense book of the series, and my new favorite Sara Fields book.

Isabella is an illegal 3rd child, which gets her sent to the detention center to be trained as a bride and then sold to an alien. Only instead of that training, she joins in causing trouble. That means the warden has to do something with her quick. Enter Zach and Noah. They are brothers and pet trainers. Only, the pets they train are women.

On their planet, all women are trained as some kind of pet, pony, kitten, or service pet. They are considered the best trainers. So, when it turns out that they are looking for another human to train, Isabella seems perfect. Their goal is to train her and then sell her to her new owner. But, is that what really happens? Can they manage to sell her or are they going to end up too enchanted with their Bella and keep her?

Sara writes excellent books, and this one is no different. It is slightly darker than some of her other books, but it is handled really well. You can just feel Bella's emotions as she figures out who and what she is. Zach and Noah are pretty good guys, even when you think they may be a little intense. They truly care for Bella and all their pets and want to see nothing but the best for any of them.

I really recommend this book and think that it is great. It's very hot, and the HEA is so good.

What a great read you are a great author Sara Fields. This is the third book in the series and it was hot and strange at times not sure I’m into that but it worked with the story. Isabella is a unregistered third child of earth and once caught she is taken away from her family and held in a detention centre outside of earth where she will be trained and then sold off to aliens wanting females to marry and breed with, Isabella could of had a easy life but she messed up by getting involved with some other girls and had a massive food fight and destroyed the wardens property so for all the trouble these girls caused they where each sold off to the most hardened aliens, Isabella met her new owner but was suprised to learn she had two owners and where brothers Noah snd Zach and she soon learnt not to say no real fast or she would be punished with a bare bottom spanking, she was shocked when it happened because she wasn’t touched as a child growing up or as a adult she was untouched and they where pleased they would give her all her first as there PET be it as a slave servant, a kitten or a pony yes you read it right, I’m giving to much away read this book it was funny, Hot, sexy, erotic and strange but I loved it, as I said this is the third book and like all the rest I couldn’t put it down, waiting with bated breath for the next book or hoping there is a next book. Taming Their Pet is another winning story in the Captive Brides Series of Stand Alone Books, each can be read alone or follow by reading 1 and 2 to understand the basic back story.
Isabella was happy being the only girl out of three children, but in this society, only two children are allowed! Found out by the authorities, Bella is handed over to authorities and transferred to detention, where her future is decided. Isabella makes a big mistake by becoming involved in some insubordination and is given the choice of being publicly chastised or sold off to new owner/owners, she chose to be sold.
Bella is sent to Dayhari where she becomes the property of Zack and Noah, two men (brothers) who are known for the pets they train and sell off to this unique society where females are Pets, Kitties, Ponies or Service pets, and they excel at their training.
Now Isabella needs to learn about her hidden needs and desires and Zack and Noah are just the trainers to help her find her true inner self.
I enjoyed this book from start to finish as I have all previous books by Sara Fields, please keep up this type of writing, I love your work!!!

Never get involved with the wrong crowd. That is what happened to Isabella. In the first book of the series, Aimee is the ring leader. Warden Taylor is in charge of the girls at the detainment center. Bella is shy and only wants to fit in. But when she follows along with Aimee and the food fight, she is taken to task. The Warden gives her a choice: bare bottom punishment in front of all or be given to her new master or masters. We can guess what she chooses. She is presented to her two masters, brothers Noah and Zack. They don’t mind having to train a “feral pet.” Bella is surprised and confused. She wants to please them but she is unaware of the sexual need she has. She finds out quickly.

The brothers were tall and scare as well as hot. I was a bit worried about the “pet play.” It has never been my kind of story to read about but this isn’t just that. It is more of an awakening in a woman. Bella learns about herself and what passion she has within herself. The brothers were only looking to train a new pet to sell but found so much more with Bella. She was unique. We still have one more story to read about in the series. Michelle is next. I look forward to finding out what happens to her.

Definitely not for the faint of heart LoL

Kittens, Service pets, and Ponies!? Oh my!! I have stepped off into the world of furries Lord help me! Isabella is sold to two men that come from a planet where their women are treated as pets literally. They have to decide if she will become a Kitten, Service pet, or a Pony. This was way beyond my normal reads I can handle a little kink here and there but this is like overload this chick gets her backside whipped so much I don't see how she could sit right at all. This author has decent story plots and characters are good, but sometimes she can go a bit over board and I give a sigh and an eye roll thinking really this would never really happen. Another thing I've noticed and I hate this the most is the repetitive content I feel like I'm reading the same exact book but different character names and minor differences in the plots. The phrases are even the same and it's like come on think of something new to say already, for example "bad girls get their naughtiest hole punished" yeah I've read that same phrase in every book. So if you're not into women prancing around like ponies, or women licking other women like cats I don't think this is the book for you LoL

Isabella, Zach and Noah

Isabella is the daughter of a politician. When it was realized that she was an unregistered third child, she was imprisoned. Her family paid the prison that trains women to be submissive a bunch of money so that she would be treated well. She got in with a bad group and caused problems. She was then sold to two brothers from a different planet.
Noah and Zach are trainers. The women on their planet are all treated as some kind of pet. If they don't behave, they are punished. Zach and Noah train women to behave as ponies, kittens and service pets. They also have a wild cat enclosure for those who are untrainable. They then take the trained "pets" to auction them to a permanent home.
The story is well written. I enjoy erotic books that involves BDSM type stuff but I really didn't care for the pet aspect. Pet tails and such are fine sometimes but to live always as if you were a horse or kitten just wasn't for me. There are plenty of people that will like this aspect, so definitely give it a try if you think you might enjoy it.

A very fun, short read if you are into pet play and can ignore the screaming level of non-con in the whole setup.

It is nominally science fiction (there is a space station and a spaceship), but everyone is human enough. All women on the planet are enslaved and can either be ponies, kittens, or full-on service slaves. Or a combination. The ones who can't cut any of that are called wildcats and are locked into pleasant houses where they can hang together and read.

The main character gets shipped off of Earth because she is an illegal third child and is sold to a pair of pet trainers. And (big surprise!) they fall in love with her and do not sell her.

Anyways, fun scenes. Lovely descriptions of ponies and kittens.

Standard path to a HEA. Mostly spankings and sex.

I wish this author and others would stop using "naughty" so much -- especially when referring to the rectum. "Naughty girl" is overused. "Naughtiest hole" is just annoying.

Good book. But I gotta say, I did not like the story. I felt it was so demeaning to women. Kept as pets on an alien planet. FMC was given to 2 men who are trainers for the human females. They put the FMC in a cage like an animal and keep her naked.
The "pets" are trained to be either ponies, kittens or house slaves. They're dressed up like the animal. The MMC's discipline the pets by spankings, whipping, etc... The pets get hosed down for their baths like animals.
I got about half way through the book and stopped. I believe it was when FMC was training to be a pony. I just couldn't read it anymore.
However I did end up reading the rest.
Lots of sex, spankings and whippings. Yes, the MMC's have sex with their "pets."
Even though I didn't care for this story, I still love this author's books.

- Not your usual kind of romance - Have to be in the right frame of mind to read this and accept it is just fiction especially when reading how quickly these women are brainwashed.
- Had moments of eye rolling and laughter
- On alien planet women are pets trained to be animals and are taught to totally obey their masters every whim. Includes them being dressed up as animals, crawling around with butt plug and tail.
- When obedient the women are treated as treasured pets are looked after and treated with kindness and love.
- Punishment can be harsh.
- Still a good read if looking for smut fest and nothing too heavy.

A intriguing and unique story that was not particularly romantic but filled with questionable behavior from the characters in this far out story! A intriguing concept where a planet of males enslave their women and train them as pets. Even more interesting is that earth has a population growth problem and third children are imprisoned and subject to be sold to any planet as slaves, or brides of alien men. The storyline lacked anything that could even be remotely seen as romance but was filled with questionable behavior from the characters in this story. I would have liked to have seen more romance and less gratuitous sex with violence against women and more importantly a real story.

A great pet story

As BDSM pet stories go, this one pretty much covers a lot of ground. So far, this series has covered quite the variety.

If you do not like BDSM pet stories, this book is absolutely not for you. I’ve seen several low rated reviews, and a lot of them seem to reflect that as the reason.

Each of these books has one thing in common: the woman in the story was born an unregistered 3rd child on Earth. They did something inappropriate to the Warden at the detention center and have been sold earlier to a “husband”. Skipping a book in this series will not affect the reading of it should you decide that a story based on this level of submission is not for you.

Hot, but has several kinks I don't care for.
I love the spankings, there's danger so some excitement. The pony girl training turns me off though, I just don't get the appeal. As does some of the service pet training. Being used as a foot stool, a ashtray, I just don't get it it leaves me flat.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Isabella is a third child and is arrested and sent to the detention center in the outer solar system. Because she joined in a food fight, she was sold immediately to Noah and Zachariah from the Planet Dayhari. They will tame and train her for resale. Will she be able to surrender and give them her submission ? This book has strong characters with one of them having to submit. Will Isabella ever be happy and complete ?

enjoyed it overall

The book overall, I just don’t think I really like the end because she literally just had a traumatic experience and they literally just didn’t even deal with the fact that she just been choked out and had injuries from being slammed into the ground. They just literally took her straight to the bedroomto show her how much they loved her and to approve their claim over the other guy who assaulted her so moving one star because of that cause I originally was gonna give

I didn’t think these stories could get any better. Watch out, because, this is not only better but rocking hot too. This series is one of my favorites and Ms. Fields just keeps raising the bar. The storytelling is so well done that you can almost see, smell and touch the world she has created. What a delightful relationship between the Zack, Noah and Isabella. I would recommend this whole series to everyone who likes a sizzling hot romance.

Amazing Pet Play! Warning Severe S&M

This is not something for the general public. It would be excellent for someone who is into S&M. It is very well written and the storyline is sound but the extreme to which the S&M was taken made me uncomfortable.

I did really enjoy the pet play aspect of the story, however. It was outstanding in the detail that the writer displayed and the reactions of the pet to the different roles was wonderfully portrayed!
