This was definitely something different for me. It was an amazing story of love, hurt, betrayal and second chance. Such a great book, I really liked the whole concept of this book, it's very interesting and suspense. You can find some great quotes in it. My first Jillian Elizabeth book and I love it.
I liked Andrea. She was so naive and I want to climb into the book and help her. I was feeling sorry for her. I didn’t like Trent. He was really annoying bad boy. I also didn’t like Carter at the beginning, but at the end he became great guy and I find out that he really loves Andrea. He was trying to keep her safe and was a great support to her.
The end was so sad. I almost cried. Only what bothers me was love confession in all chapters.
I really enjoyed it and would recommend to all. Can’t wait to read and see what will happen with Andrea.
She has given me something I didn’t know I needed, a life and love that’s real and raw.
** ARC provided by the author for an honest review **
Into Your Hurricane by Jillian Elizabeth is a gripping and an emotional read with many twists and turns. This is a prequel to Out of the Storm and shines a light on how the journey begins....
Andrea Jensen has recently been heartbroken. All she wants right now is to graduate and begin her life as a teacher. She needs a distraction from the hurt and suddenly, it shows up in the form of Trent Zito. Trent is in his last year of law school, interning at his uncle’s firm and is an all-around perfect guy. Entering a relationship with him proves to be what they both need, at first, however the longer they are together, the more Andrea sees that they are headed into the eye of a storm. The storm that will leave everyone destroyed! What will be left in the aftermath?
Fantastically written and completely spellbound by Jillian's power of writing! This is the beginning of Carter and Andrea's love story and as I have learned, it keeps growing in the continuation in Out of the Storm.
Carter is bada** and even though him and Andrea are not together, he still protects her, or tries to. There is a lot of emotion involved in this heartfelt story. Heartbreak and love, sadness, and anticipation. Some tough choices are made and even more heartbreak happens. Gah, this book had my emotions all over the place. I will definitely be reaching for Out of the Storm to seek out the continuation of Carter and Andrea's relationship. Solid four stars.
When I first read every chapter I was sent I just said WOW. I wanted to read more and more about Carter and Andrea. I can't wait for what else is to come in future books. Jillian is an amazing author and this is something she was destined to do.
Wow is all I can say. If I thought Out of The Storm was great this is so much better. This book actually takes place first and is the beginning of Carter and Andreas story. It is full of emotions and twists and turns and so many emotions you feel like you are there. This is a must read of 2017. Jillian you are amazing and this is the must read of 2017.
Wow Jillian Elizabeth has done it once again... absolutely loved this book... yes this book had me laughing, crying, and also ready to kill someone but I absolutely loved it ❤️❤️ ... job well done Jillian Elizabeth... if you haven't checked out this book go one click it now... you definitely won't be disappointed when you do I promise you... I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone who wants to read it
I'm glad to pick up this book because Out of the Storm left me with a lot of questions in how Carter and Andrea go to the point they were at at the beginning of that book. I still don't agree with Carter's decision to break things off with Andrea and then proceed to shag pretty much anyone he came in contact with. I'm still mad but glad they are where they are at now.
Into your hurricane by Jillian Elizabeth is a beautifully written novel from romance genre. The novel revolves around many emotional themes such as love, heartbreak, loyalty, jealousy, sorrow, rage and revenge. Different persons experiencing a variety of emotions and going through each of these phases is what makes it even more alluring. One of the things that always make me crave for her novels is her peculiar imagery and the intensity of emotions she creates in each of her character is purely real. This book of hers is no different and encompasses all the beauty of human emotions. This story begins with Andrea Jensen and Trent Zito being in love with each other and expecting the arrival of their newborn. The sudden news of Andrea’s pregnancy unsettles them both at first but as the time passes by it proves to be a test of their own love as well. Andrea Jenson is being projected as a woman of delicate emotions and looks up to Trent in every matter of her life. She has suffered heartbreak from her childhood friend and lover, Carter, and is clearly up to no more of this shit. Whereas, Trent Zito is an emerging lawyer who works alongside his uncle in his firm and is in his last year of college. Trent has got his other side as well- his kinky and exploitative tastes which seem to turn his relationship with Andrea a bit upside down. Carter Avery is portrayed as a famous detective and is the one to give Andrea her first heartache. How Andrea will make it through the hurricane and how Trent, Andrea and Carter will make it to the end is the job of the readers to find out. Author’s writing style is so magical and her description of emotions is so real. The way she takes each move from one emotional phase to another covering every tint and color of those emotions is simply quite enticing. The dialogues were so casually written with a mild flavor of everyday slangs. There was an element of light humor and family aroma as well which was very positive on the nerves. Her attempt at highlighting the relationship issues between two people and how Andrea goes through her pregnancy is commendable. It is one of those trials that nearly everyone can relate to and that pregnancy part was my personal favorite in this book after Carter’s entry into the mainstream plot. The emotions that Andrea felt through while being pregnant were amazingly described and the way she handles her baby and feels his heartbeat along her chest was something surreal and heavy on emotions. However, the book being a romance novel contains some adult content and has many bold sex scenes as well which could be upsetting for some readers. The book also deals with many controversial topics of sex marketing, alcohol and drinking. There were also many typographical errors such as in chapter 6 and 8 where Trent describes a situation “I need to prove to her I’m the man she needs and want to raise our child”, “tears streaming down my face” instead of her. Some of the spelling mistakes were also observed like “wit making love to me”, “costum”, “today”> and “bette,r” in chapter 9, 11, 14 and 16 respectively. In chapter 23, unfortunately, the author loses track of thoughts as she seems to mix up the dialogues of Andrea with that of Trent’s for a bit of a time but all of these minor slips were easily understandable and did not cause any significant hindrance in the reading process. As far as the writing errors are concerned, the copy that I received clearly mentioned it as an unedited and unformatted document. Clearly, this book was as fascinating as anticipated and touched my soul deeply. I fell in love with some of the lines from the book that I would like to mention here for example, “I love you so much that it hurts”, “she is so hormonal” and “it’s like when your parents pull out the full name, you know there’s trouble”. I would gladly rate this book 5 out of 5 stars and would happily want to take a dive into the next hurricane of love swirling around the corner.
Andrea Jensen thinks she has finally found the perfect guy for herself after ending her relationship with Carter Avery. She is working on obtaining her teaching degree and is happy that everything seems to be going as planned.
Trent Zito is in law school while working for his uncle's law firm. He is ready for a successful life and will do anything to obtain his dreams.
As Andrea and Trent begin their life together certain events happen that will change everything that Andrea thought she knew and will challenge her views on life.
But will Andrea be able to survive the heartbreak she never saw coming?
Wow! I must admit that I never saw a lot of this story coming. I had previously read Out Of The Storm which focused on the relationship between Andrea and Carter so I was super interested in reading the prequel.
I really liked Andrea and I felt heartbroken that she was so trusting and really had no clue on what was going on behind her back.
I must say that I did not care for Trent and his "entitled" attitude. I was shocked that his sister Amy was Andrea's best friend and that still didn't impact the decisions that he made. The bathroom scene was shocking when anyone could have seen what was happening and the result of that.
Carter was there for Andrea when she needed him to be and he was trying to give her the space and trust she needed but the end was so hard on him as well.
I was totally shocked at the very end and completely gutted for Andrea and her loss.
I liked how we got a sneak peak into a couple of the characters that played a major role in the next book.
This stories illustrates how some people can lives two different lives, but it always comes to light in the end. Andrea Jensen just had her heart broken by her first love and life-time friend when she meets Trent Zito. Trent seems to be the attentive and loving boyfriend that she's always wanted and craved after her relationship crashed with Carter. But then secrets are revealed at a time in her life that she needed a partner most. All of Trent's misdeeds has come to light and Andrea is devastated, but Carter is there to fill in the gap again, just a little too quickly in my opinion. Although Trent doesn't want to relinquish his hold on Andrea and continues to pursue her.
This is where the story takes a turn that I just couldn't take lightly. You love one man in the morning that is your sun, moon and sky. Then by that evening, and after events come to light, you never stopped loving the other and must be with him now is all a little too quick and fickle for me. There should have been a much better lead in to that.
Other than a few other places where POV's are mixed in the storyline and not delineated during the story telling process, this was a good story. It could have been executed much better in the end, but it's still a good explanation to Carter and Andrea's relationship.
Into Your Hurricane is the prequel to Out of the Storm. You must read this one before reading the full novel.
Andrea Jensen's world was turned upside down the day her one and only love broke her heart. She does her best to pick up the pieces of her heart and move on. She meets someone new and at first glance, he appears to be simply great. His name is Trent Zito. Andrea and Trent begin dating, and she believes they are moving in the right direction, but she couldn't be more wrong. Trent is his own hurricane, and it takes Andrea a while to realize this. By this time, she is already smack dab in the eye of the storm.
What an awesome introduction to a new series! This is a story of love, lies, hurt, betrayal, and redemption. I really liked Andrea. She was a little naive, and I found myself wanting to give here some guidance. I didn't like Trent at all. I wanted to smack him upside the head throughout this book. And Carter? Oh, Carter, Carter. I didn't like him at first, but as the story progressed, I think I fell a little in love with him. Be ready. This book will draw you in from the very beginning and keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire book.
Into Your Hurricane is a prequel to Jillian's debut book Out of the Storm but does not need to be read first. Andrea is a woman who was left broken hearted by a man she has loved her whole life. She crosses paths with Trent, a man whom brings her into the storm that is soon to become her life.
Overall Thoughts: The story is an emotional one, at least towards the ending. It will have you sitting on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens next. I found it hard to get into at first, but soon I was wrapped up in the world that is made by Jillian Elizabeth. Having read her debut book Out of the Storm I had already knew about Trent and had a dislike for his character, which I couldn't shake with this book but this book helped make you understand why he is the way he is. It was beautifully written.
Woah! What a way to spend my Sunday. That’s right I read this book in one day and almost in a single sitting.
Into Your Hurricane was heavier and more intense than my usual read. But because this is a prequel (with some overlapping scenes) to Jillian’s Out of the Storm I had no qualms about continuing to read. In fact I quite literally couldn’t stop until I’d finished.
I thought knowing exactly how Andrea’s life is at the end of this book and beyond (even though I’m a big rereader) would take away some of the impact of what happened to her. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Everything that happened to Andrea, the good, the bad and the truly awful was just as powerful as if I was reading it all for the first time.
This was another great book from Jillian and has me even more excited for everything else that is to come.
This is the prequel to Out the Storm. I actually read that book first and enjoyed it. I think of the two I like that one best. Not that Into Your Hurricane wasn’t good. The story is sad and touched upon ugliness that unfortunately does happen. It was gut wrenching in some parts to me and I found myself super angry with a certain someone in the book. I’m actually glad I read the second book first because I know what happens to that person. Otherwise I really love Carter and Andrea. Andrea is a sweet and kindhearted person who finds herself in a terrible situation. She endures heartache after heartache barely surviving the storm. Thankfully there’s someone caring, understanding and protective that stands by her side. He gives her strength and helps her through even at the worst of times when his own heart is breaking too.
This is a heartbreaking story that will pull at your heartstrings in every direction. I feel for Andrea as she builds herself back up from a broken heart to thinking she has found the love of her life and the happiness she deserves. When in the end, Trent has betrayed Andrea love with lies and cheating. Andrea didn't realize the storm would turn into a hurricane because of Trent and it would be worst heartbreak than what she went through with her past love Carter. It's nice that Carter comes back into Andrea life to protect her and help her heal. With the destruction that Andrea life has become will Carter be able to help Andrea and get their love back on track where it belongs? Jillian written this story well that will keep you on the edge of your seat with twist and turns that you will have to turn the page and see what happen next.
I really like Andrea. She's sweet and all she wants to be is loved. Her first love broke her heart and she thinks she's found the man that will heal her. My only regret reading this book is that I had thought this was the first book, and I had read what I thought was the second book first. I'm glad we got more back story, but I would have rather read this book first. It makes this book hard to review because I already knew what the end game was and pretty much anything I could say would probably be a spoiler. These books show you what a true man is and how a man should respect the woman that he loves. I think you should read both books. Bring your tissues...
Ok WOW, I'm gonna need a minute or 5 before I can go any further with this review....
I just finished Into Your Hurricane, and I'm just overcome with the feels! Yes, I read Out of the Storm first, several months ago. Yes, I've already been through the wringer once with Andrea and Carter. But to read this from Andrea's pov, with her naivety and innocent need for love, just rips the heart open any make you bleed out right from the very beginning. Once again, Jillian Elizabeth has blown me away with her emotional and descriptive writing! Trent is such an SOB, and to see how warped he truly was from the very beginning, how deep the perversions ran...ugh!
This book is fast pace. Andrea and Trent are making a life together after the only one ever to hold her heart rips it out and she shuts that door on Carter and tries to be happy with Trent. After a few months things are moving along and the family enjoys Andrea and think she’s great. The thing is that Trent can’t stop his behaviors and they come back to destroy their world and the one that has always hold Andrea safe and protected is back. Carter steps in and it’s like the months never happened.
Wow. This books defiantly has many twist and turns. Andrea meets Trent put with her friends. They start off great thwm boom she's pregnant. They take it on stride and seems like all is going well. Here comes the hurricane, marissa, Trent ex. So many twists. I was sitting on the edge of my chair in spots. Then Carter comes in, Andreas ex, to help her through the hard times. Good book. This is book 2 in the series.
Into Your Hurricane is a prequel to Out of the Storm, but does not need to be read first. It's an emotional read with many twists and turns. It gives you all the answers to any questions you might have had and explains how Carter and Andrea got to the place they are at now and the struggles they went through to get there. It;s a story well worth reading.
I truly enjoyed this book and look forward to many more stories by Jillian Elizabeth. She has a very promising career.
Well I have to say when I started this book I really couldn't put it down. The way the Author tells about the characters and their background to their lives is really something that makes you feel for them and understand what they are going through. Carter and Aundrea have something only everyone who believes in true love wants. The way the book ends really you want more. So Im hoping there will be more to their story.
I almost didn't finish this book as after seven chapters or so it still felt so choppy and disconnected. I really wanted to see how the story itself played out, so I trudged on, and I am glad I did. The writing seemed to flow much better after those first bunch of chapters and it made it easier to read. Also, the fact that Andrea told Ava about her pregnancy and Ava was shocked when Trent told her, and then shocked again when Andrea and Trent told her together was confusing to me.
This book is the Pre-quel to Jillian's first book Out of The storm. This book tells you exactly what happened between Carter and Andrea and why they're back together. It also gives you a look at Andrea's ex Trent. This book is a journey and one you do NOT and CANNOT miss. Do yourself the biggest favor of 2017 and read both of Jillian's books. You will not regret it I promise
This book was such an emotional journey. The characters in this story are so dynamic. By the end I was cheering for Carter and hopping Trent got what he deserved. This story has a lot of twists and turns and some very emotional moments and I'll looking forward to the next book.
Andrea Jensen is a strong, loving character. I could beat hell of Trent Zito. Love Carter Avery. Andrea, moving on from heartbreak, falls for Trent, a thoroughly irritating piece of work. He lies, cheats, betrays, crushes. With total abandon. The heartbreak keeps on coming for Andrea. I look forward to more from this author. Well written, plot development well done.
Wow this book had my emotions are all over the place! Andrea breaks up with her boyfriend than finds another guy but things happen she finds out she’s pregnant. Many chaos happen and drama ugh! Can’t wait to read more!
A great start to the story. I can't wait to read the next one and find out what happens. Carter and Andrea are ex lovers. They run into each other again and now have a second chance at love. But will it all end when her ex boyfriend tries to get her back??
This book was sweet and intense at times but, it was such a great read and well written book. I like Andrea character but I really didn't like her boyfriend Trent very much at all. It was a good book on love and betrayal and lies.
This could have been a good book. The typos and continuity errors are a killer. Plus an attorney does not work with the police when regarding the guilt of their client. I’m being generous with 3 stars because I hate giving 2 stars and I ugly cried at the end and got some of my feelings released lol.
