Skimmed as needed.
This could be a great text for students in a cultural studies/history class. It has a lot of depth and analysis about how to approach cultural studies but it doesn't drag and get mired in theory.

I like non-academic writing but this was too casual. Thankfully only read a couple chapters for class.

pretty helpful, but sometimes the authors' tone was a little hard to take seriously.
