Damn, I’m not supposed to fall in love…
My billion-dollar Texas oil company just had a spill.
Nothing like forced time off.
Meeting Fiona while visiting my small home town was an unexpected surprise.
Beautiful curves fit snugly into tight jeans and enough confidence to take on a lion.
Just being near her has got me all tongue twisted.
She’s not too impressed by my Texas charm, which turns me on even more.
She doesn’t remember me, but my company put her father out of business.
Like a jerk, I lie about my identity.
If she finds out, I’m screwed.

This steamy contemporary romance will keep you company tonight, tomorrow, and the day after. No cheating and a satisfying happily ever after!

After reading Mr. Everything my first book by Emily Bishop that left me disappointed, I was willing to give this author another go. And I’m glad I did. I really enjoyed this one, unexpectedly so, and everything about it has been a wonderful surprise.

Mr. Anything is well-written and developed with depth and substance to the storyline and characters. It was not rushed, it moved along nicely and smoothly throughout the entire book. In this one, Emily Bishop has done a good job of bringing Fiona and Shane together. I liked how you could see these two characters growing and maturing as the story unfolds. The connection was strong and the sexual energy between them was off-the-charts. Shane is all kinds of sexy and Fiona is a strong and feisty heroine.

I found myself connecting with Fiona and Shane’s story much more than I thought I would. An interesting story about what happens when different worlds collide, family secrets are revealed and love gets caught in the middle.

If you love steamy contemporary romances with a pinch of angst and some seriously sexy moments, then this book is exactly what you’re looking for.

I give this book 4 stars. The storyline between Fiona and Shane was set in stone when they were young. The sin of the father, Shane's father was ruthless and had wronged Fiona's father. Shane's future was altered when there was an explosion at his oil rig. The story was well written and I recommend this book to you. When they met he lies to her about who he is and when she finds out she throws him out. This book has lots of steamy sences. I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Fiona & Shane meet in the most unlikely of circumstances but it turns out their pasts are forever intertwined to one another. As they learn that their attraction to one another is very real they both deal with the pasts fallout in different ways. Making it hard for them to find a way to come together & let bygones be just that. As they come to terms with their mutual need for one another things for Shane start to take him away from Fiona. He has to decide what it is that is most important to him. The family legacy left to him or the woman he has grown to love.

This was an exceptional follow up novel to Emily Bishop's debut, Mr. Everything. It is both a romance & a struggle between two adults learning to move beyond what happen during their childhoods. Both having been impacted by the fates of their respective fathers. The book is full of humor, soul searching & intense bedroom action between the main characters.

DNF = 1 star

Had to stop at 12%. I hated the characters. All of them. The supposedly witty banter was anything but. The writing was clunky. It was just a no and I knew it immediately and still hung on for another 11.5%. ugh.

I received an ARC of Mr. Anything and this is my voluntary and honest review. This book had me gripped from page one and so engrossed in the story that I did not want to put this book down. Shane and Fiona meet in the town of Mystic when Shane comes waltzing into the hardware shop that she works in. Shane's attitude gets Fiona's back up and these two appear not to get along however there is no mistaking the chemistry and attraction that is in the air between them. Their story is full of a past that has them connected that causes secrets to be kept and lies to be told. This story shows you just what someone will do when they realize that the person who has made them come alive is right in front of them. Mr. Anything is a book that definitely deserves five stars as Shane Perkins will captivate you and have you doing just about anything to stay in Mystic with him. A story that will have you smiling, laughing and at times it will make you anxious and it will even make your heart ache for these two but the journey with these characters will be worth it in the end, plus let's not forget the hot and steamy scenes that will make you smile for a whole other reason.

This was such a good story I couldn't stop reading it. I love the banter between the 2 characters Shane & Fiona both are strong characters, but their both trying to fight an attraction for each other, but Shane has a secret that could destroy any chance he might have with Fiona plus he's only here temporary. Will they find their HEA or will he leave and not look back? This was a really good book to read and I'd definitely recommend getting it.

Mr Anything by Emily Bishop a sublime five-star read. This is my second Emily Bishop read, and she just gets better and better. She writes hot with a side of sweet that will make your toes curl in a good way. There is so much going on in this story, but it all pulls together so well, if you don’t fall in love with the people of Mystic then I don’t know if you are someone I would like. Emily Bishop has written characters that are so believable you imagine you could hop on a plane and be in the mystic Hardware shop by the end of the day. I have even been looking at boat building plans for when I go home to the sea side!! The closet to a boat I have ever come is looking at pretty yachts in the marina. This book will take your imagination on a journey that you won’t forget. Shane and Fiona are a great pair, the problems they face are major and the thing is will they manage to overcome them together? Or will they face too much? The background characters for this book are great as well and I would definitely read more about the folk of Mystic.

Shane has taken over the helm of the family oil business. He's trying to make amends for the way his father ran the business and the last thing he needs is a major explosion at one of his off-shore rigs. To make sure that the company weathers the fallout of the explosion and it's investigation, he takes a step back from the company. He's still in charge, but from afar, leaving Houston for a family home in Mystic, Connecticut. He holds fond memories of Mystic; spending time with his mom fishing and building boats. Soon he will fall in love with Mystic all over again. Fiona has lived in Mystic since she was a young girl. Her and her dad moved there to join her dad's best friend after they lost the family business and the death of Fiona's mother. It was a fresh start and soon became home. Fiona works in a hardware store with her best friend, Drew. When Shane comes in for materials to build a boat, the two immediately have chemistry. Fiona does her best to shut it down. It makes for an entertaining back and forth, several frustrated nights, and anticipation for something special when they finally come together. There's only so much denial possible and the two finally go on a date. It's better than expected. There's passion, but they also have a good time with each other. However, Shane has a poorly kept secret and makes it worse with a lie. Can Fiona get past this? Can she forgive and accept who he is? Will his business in Houston destroy any chance they have is he does get a chance?

This is a basic romance story, but it exceeds expectations due to the writing and characters. Fiona and Shane are likable and well developed. Drew is maybe my favorite character in the book. He's a delightful rascal. He's a great best friend and adds humor. Love this guy. He needs his own book!

⛔️ (in notes)
“I woke with a start. My fists clutched the sheets, and sweat drenched my body. My nipples were peaked, and slickness pooled between my legs. It dawned on me that I’d just had a sex dream about a guy whose name I didn’t even know. The mere thought of him had just caused me the most powerful orgasm that I could remember having.

I groaned. As much as I hated thinking about Drew when I was still breathing hard from a spectacular orgasm that I’d had no control over, Drew had been right. I desperately needed to get laid.”

- so she just orgasmed without touching herself? Yeah, right, that’s really realistic😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Shane is the CEO of his family’s oil company. After a devastating explosion on one of their oil rigs, he heads to Mystic, Connecticut, to lay low while the company deals with public outcry and the EPA does its investigation. When he returns to the town where his mother taught him to fish and he hand crafted his first boat, he meets feisty Fiona, who works at the local hardware store. Flirting, teasing and banter ensue, but billionaire Shane, who’s used to getting what he wants, has his work cut out for him if he’s going to get Fiona to agree to a date with him. It’s not until they discover their mutual love of fishing and he saves her from falling into the water that she warms up to him. But there’s not only the fact that he lives in Texas and she lives in Connecticut that threatens their fledgling relationship. Their families have a shared history, and it’s anything but pretty.

This is the second book by this new author, and I was glad to get an advance copy to review. I never know what to expect from a newer author, but this book is even better than her first! She’s definitely one to watch and I expect her work to continue to improve and will thoroughly enjoy watching her growth. Her voice is that of a seasoned author, and the character development is intricate, believable and multilayered. The plot is realistic and interesting and the story’s placing was spot on. I easily related to the characters and became invested in their story. Shane was a wonderful, loveable hero and easily won my heart, and Fiona was so likeable and believable I felt like I could walk into my local hardware store and find her there. Secondary characters were just as complex and realistic, so that I was left hoping there might be a story for Drew and we can have the opportunity to revisit them all. Full of humor and heart, steamy and sweet, this one is sure to please and definitely 1-Click worthy!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is the second book I read by Emily Bishop and her books are well written and brilliantly done. I enjoyed reading this story because it was full of emotional angst, scorching love scenes, and a compelling storyline. From the very first page, I was spellbound by these fantastically described characters that you will find yourself falling in love with—or not. The story held my attention and was entertaining, but also was heartwarming and emotional. The momentum of the story keeps you wanting to read more that you can’t put it down. I was enthralled with the characters of Fiona and Shane and the banter between the two. Shane Perkins you are so freaking SEXY! And adorable in the hottest way! Being an alpha, he is very protective and he is not one to ask for anything—he tells you what he wants—he wants Fiona. Fiona works at Mystic Hardware store and when Shane comes into the hardware to buy supplies to build a boat, the chemistry between the two is so explosive and it grows more potent the more times they spend together—the sex is off-the charts hot!! Shane is in Mystic at his family’s home where he spent time while growing up. Fiona does not know the real reason why Shane has moved to Mystic. Will Fiona finds out Shane’s secret of why he moved to Mystic? Will Shane’s family history and Fiona’s family history destroy an opportunity for them to find love? At first, I thought this story would have had the same elements as Fifty Shades of Grey where the billionaire comes into the hardware store to buy supplies from the naïve woman, but to my surprise it was completely different, and Fiona was not naïve—just feisty and brazen. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. This story will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning.

Shane goes back to Mystic Connecticut to a place he feels safe when the oil tycoon's family business is in deep trouble. Needing to be out of the public eye- looking like he is stepping out of the way while it is being investigated- he is still working behind the scenes in one of his family's homes.
Things might not be as he thought once he stepped foot in the Mystic Hardware Store for the materials to build a boat. He being a man who rarely has a run in with someone who challenges his word is about to find he has met his match! Coming face to face with the beautiful, stubborn knows her stuff, sarcastic employee Fiona, is proving to have more of an effect than he would have imagined! That safe place may have just become not so “ safe .“
Fiona and Shane have more in common than they realize at first- the connection between them is one neither can deny. But the circumstances are ripe for disaster, will this be a match made in heaven or should they chalk it up to being oil and water?
This book took me by surprise! The hot connection between them was very evident from the very beginning- I swear I could feel a zing coming from those two through my Kindle!
I liked that this tale had a great mix of intense emotional play, fun witty banter, HOT times, interesting plot twists, romance me up ( so sweet ) and some by George I think they’ve got it moments!
Plus I am all for a female character who is on the stronger side! Even if it means she is stubborn and makes a few silly choices along the way < looks away>
Mr. Anything had me up til 1 a.m finishing! Was well worth the extra coffee and under eye cream this morning!
This second book by Emily Bishop has captured my attention and one I would recommend to others!

A great love story!!!
Shane is the CEO of his family owned oil company and it just had a major accident. To make things right Shane decides to take a step back while all the investigations are going on to prove that he is not trying to cover anything that his father has done up.
While he is away he goes back to the small town of Mystic, where he has fond memories growing up. He runs into Fiona who works in the local hardware store on his first trip there. She is feisty and there is something about her that Shane can’t stay away from.
Fiona has lived in the small town of Mystic since she was six that is when her father was forces into bankruptcy buy the Perkins oil company. She loves her small town and is grateful for her job at the local hardware store, until one handsome man who just wants to argue with her walks in. Fiona ends up kicking him out of the store but can’t seem to get him off of her mind.
Shane and Fiona start a journey together they neither one seems prepared for but neither one wants to end. They are like two magnets forced together. Once Fiona finds out that Shane is part of the family that destroyed hers she doesn’t really know what to do and all Shane has been doing since he took over the family business is trying to right is father’s wrongs.
He will do anything he can to prove to Fiona that he is not like the man his father was and is willing to do anything for the two of them to be together. I kept reading until I found out what happened between the two.

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. I really enjoyed this book as I have others from Emily Bishop. I prefer books that have a feisty strong heroine and Fiona has lots of charm and character. I loved the witty banter between her and the male lead in the book, Shane. I liked how they were immediately attracted to each other, but that they got to know each other slowly and how he didn't give up. I liked how thoughtful he was when planning their first date. It wasn't a typical first date, but one he knew she would enjoy, and it was fun seeing them together because they had a lot in common.

I like how well the author describes the beautiful scenery in Mystic Connecticut, a place I have visited personally a few times, and other places like the hardware store where Fiona works. There is a part of the book where Shane keeps a secret, but I like the fact that he is man enough to own up to it when the time comes, and how he interacts with Fiona's father. I also loved how he honored her deceased mother.

Without giving too much away, the only thing I did not like about the book was a decision he made toward the end of the book when he hired someone back to work for him, even though his reasoning was explained. I would have preferred if Shane kept a more hands-on role in the company and they moved to Houston.

For those of you who enjoy a HEA that is all tied up neatly, this is a great, fun read. Both the Hero and Heroine and strong, likable characters that have a lot of class and are very relatable. I recommend this book! Enjoy!

After a devastating oil explosion on one of his family's rigs Shane takes a step back to let people investigate so no one can accuse him of hiding or doctoring the facts of the explosion. Shane is the CEO of the company and has been looking into his father's past business dealings while continuing to make his own changes. He ends up in a little town where he would vacation as a child. Deciding to make the most of his situation he starts to build a boat and meets Fiona at the local hardware store. They have a fiery connection and their banter leaves him going elsewhere to get his supplies. However fate has him having another chance meeting with Fiona when he goes fishing. After spending the day together Fiona decides maybe Shane isn't too bad and ends up agreeing to go out with him. Things develop between them quickly and she tells her father about him not realizing that Shane's family is a part of how her family ended up in their little town. Shane and Fiona have many obstacles they have to face before they can even decide if there is something worth fighting for.

This was a great story. The characters draw you in so that you can't stop reading until you know what happens. This book has it all amazing storyline, heat between the characters and some drama thrown in the mix. If you haven't read anything by the author I'd start now.

I received and ARC of this in exchange for an honest review.

An oil rig explodes so Shane goes home to Mystic Connecticut for the investigation take place without media thinking he was covering up something. He met Fiona, who works at the hardware store when he was going to buy supplies to build himself a boat. Shane and Fiona had different ideas on the parts. They both felt electricity towards each other. They didn't like each other at first, but there was still heat and both had dreams about each other. They still fought the urge to be together. Fiona finally agreed to go on a date with Shane. Fiona told her dad she had a date with a guy named Shane from Houston. Her dad let her know that the guy that had made him lose his company had a son named Shane and Perkins Enterprise was in Texas. She almost canceled but there was something about him that she went on the date. Shane took her to "Fields of Fire" where they hiked. Shane rescued a little boy that had gotten separated from his mom and 2 teenage girls that were tangled up. Fiona couldn't help but sleep with him knowing who he was. She questioned him about what he did for work and who his father was after they had slept together. Shane lied to her. Fiona threw him out of her house. Will Shane come clean to Fiona? What will Fiona decide? A must read! I couldn't put it down. I was pulled in from the beginning. Emily Bishop did an excellent job! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a sweet and steamy story of love and taking risks to hold on to that love. The story was quick to build, the characters were a fun bunch with engaging personalities, and I really enjoyed how the author worked in details about boats. That was fun and interesting and helped to give the protagonists from vastly different economic brackets some common ground.

Fiona, Fee to her friends and family, was the female lead. I loved her fire. She had spunk for days yet also held some vulnerability. She worked in a hardware store, built boats for fun, and, despite her fears, went for what she wanted.

Shane is the male lead and he, too, was a strong character. Strong, determined, intelligent, and, of course, was blazingly attractive. As the CEO of his familys business he was used to giving orders and having them followed; usually with little to no questions. He meets his match in Fee when she, despite their mutual instalust, doesnt turn into a head-nodding yes-man.

They both had a few secrets, he more than she, that tested their budding relationship and resolve. All in all, its a feel-good read. You will laugh with, or at, the characters, you feel feel for them, you will encourage them, and when the story reaches its sweet resolution you will be happy for Fee, Shane, and company.

I was provided an Advanced Review Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved, loved this story. Emily wrote such a sweet story that takes place in two places: On the east coast at a place called Mystic which includes resident and hardware store clerk, Fiona; and, in Houston with its resident and CEO of an oil company, Shane. The best place is Mystic because it brings Fiona and Shane together. A match made over the disagreement of which glue to use when building a boat.
Emily Bishop has a wonderful writing style that keeps you engaged from cover to cover. Her characters are fully developed and come to life on the pages so easily. Fiona's longtime friend Drew reminds me of the character, "Ducky" from the movie, Pretty in Pink.
Emily paints the time Shane must spend in Houston as dark and sterile. Strictly business with no warmth, no Fiona. Even Shane's' personality is different. Cold. Calculating. He needs Fiona to thaw his soul and make more humane decisions.
Fiona and Shane both have obstacles to overcome that involve each other and in Shane's case, also involve Fiona's father. It's a page turner to see if they will do the necessary steps because on the most basic level, the sex is so good!
I highly recommend this book. It is well written and highly entertainment. Enjoy!

Sweet and swoon worthy!

Mr Anything is a sweet and swoony romance with great characters full of personality. Not only do you get a billionaire tycoon and a strong and saucy heroine, but also a sweet and protective father and a nosey and cocky best friend. Together they make up one addictive story full of emotion and drama.
Shane takes some mandatory time off to Mystic Lake after an accident at an oil rig causes a scandal for his company. Needing to step away and clear his mind to figure out his next step, he heads to his family's home where he feels at peace with all his mother's memories. Needing some supplies to keep himself busy he heads to the local hardware store where he meets Fiona. Sparks fly between the both of them, and then, Shane opens his mouth. Lol! The one thing you don't do is shut down Fiona's knowledge of boat building. And that gets him shut down. Their banter also builds their sexual tension and won't be long before either of them crack. But will the secret's they're hiding keep them from any future they could have? Are they're feelings strong enough to withstand what comes their way?
Definitely recommend this standalone romance. It's easy flowing and easy to follow. Can't wait to see what Emily comes up with next!

I voluntarily read the ARC and gladly give my honest review!

Shane's & Fiona's stories together and separately are written so well that it was easy for me to feel what they were feeling. Emily wrote the scenes and emotions so well that you felt like an active participant.

Shane returned to his childhood home to lay low from a media blitz due to a catastrophe at his company's oil rig. He meets Fiona there. She has an instant dislike to him and he has to work hard just to get a date! He re-discovers what he enjoyed doing and what really matters to be truly happy. She unknowingly helps with his revelations and they get to know each other. And what a journey it is!

They discover that their fathers had a huge falling out when they worked together. Shane learns the horrible and unethical business practices his father employed. He sets out to change the company's practices and make-up for past wrongs.

Emily does an exceptional job expressing deep emotions, wit, importance of family, hot scenes and love. This is the second book I've read of hers and she has only gotten better! Definitely on my recommend list!

Once again I'm captivated by Emily Bishop and her ability to take what could be a simply story and form it into a outstanding read.

The main characters in this story have an intertwined past, even though they had didn't know that at first. Their fathers were business partners which ended badly and as they say the sins of the fathers have a way of impacting their children's lives.

Fiona is a very strong, feisty, opinionated character that was the perfect balance for Shane. Shane is also strong and intelligent character who is the CEO of his families business. He is caring and compassionate and is doing his best to make up for his fathers past decisions. When an accident makes him step back he goes to the one place he always loved, which in turn leads him right to Fiona.

To say this was a rocky beginning would be an understatement yet the path they both choose and the journey through it makes it all worth while. I loved the strength these two showed and their values and caring natures. This is the second book I have read by this author and will continue to follow her as long as she keeps providing these emotional and entrancing reads.

Shane is the CEO of an oil company and when an explosion happens he steps back for an open investigation. He decides to go to his childhood home and work from there since his dad had all the information on what the company uses at that house. While there he decides to build a boat and is amused when the girl at the harware store tells him he is selecting the wrong materials and then kicks him out of the store for his teasing.

Fiona works at a hardware store and she loves to build boats and fish. She gets upset at the hot guy who asks for her opinion and then doesn't listen to her advice, so she kicks him out of the store. Her best friend works at the store with her and noticed she starts acting differently after the hot guy has been there. Like any good best friend he teases her about it. When the hot guy comes back she gets offended by him acting like a gentleman and because she feels like he is looking at her like a damsel in distress.

Things just get funnier and steamier from there. A must read to know if she will ever let him in and to see if he will ever tell her about what his father did to hers.

Shane is CEO of an oil company and after a devastating explosion on an oil rig he must step back during the investigation. He heads to Mystic, CT where he spent some time as a child and that is where he meets feisty Fiona! She sure gives him a run for his money and advice and opinions that he doesn't ask for. But right away you can tell that they have a connection that grows stronger at each chance meeting. Fiona soon realizes that Shane' s father was responsible for the demise of her father's company when as a child. This causes her to question the connection she has with Shane until her father tells her something her mother believed, "something clicked in place when you met your soulmate...and a soon as you met-click." Fiona' s fatherr believed that is what happened with her and Shane and it took him telling her that for her to see she was in love with Shane. Sometimes it takes something big to get a person to slow down and let love in and Shane is a great example of that! Leaving honest review for this ARC that I received. This is my second read by Emily Bishop and can't wait for more.

This was a cute, sweet little romance. Fairly well edited.

Shane's company is facing a crisis, and it is deemed best that he step away while an investigation is conducted. He goes to a childhood home in Mystic, CT and runs into Fiona. Turns out that Shane and Fiona's families have a bit of bad blood running, and Fiona tries not to fall for Shane. That doesn't work out, and the two end up falling for each other. Shane is called back to Houston to deal with his company while Fiona tries to ignore her feelings for Shane. How will things play out with the company? Will Fiona decide to take a chance on Shane? How will living in different states work out?

This was a light and entertaining read. Here was the thing that bothered me - Shane's right hand man encourages him to step away while the investigation is conducted. Bart is supposed to keep Shane informed, but things get a little cagey. When Shane does show up and stuff hits the fan, I didn't understand why Shane didn't confront Bart about encouraging him to leave town. Seemed like Shane should have called him on that. Anyway, that is kind of minor, and doesn't take away from the overall enjoyment of the book.

4.5 stars

This book was the first that I had read by Emily Bishop. I had no idea what to expect. I was more than pleasantly surprised. It perfectly balanced endearing and steamy in one fell swoop. This story was not all about the steam with just a little bit of plot which I really appreciate at times. Don't get me wrong I love the steam factor (and Ms. Bishop writes that WELL). I just appreciate that she took the time to develop the characters and gave a background to the stories. There were a few moments that I wished she would have fleshed those out a little more (the boat scene) but I still liked the way that the story progressed.

Fiona was a great character even though at times I wanted to strangle her. Shane was the perfect guy that little girls dream of when they are little. If the cover is any inclination of what Shane looks like I need to make a trip to Texas to find me one just like him!

I would recommend this book to all those that love a perfectly balanced romance book. I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this story. If I could have stayed awake, I would have read it cover-to-cover, it's just that good. As it was I finished it the first thing the next morning.

One of the best things is the story seemed like something that could really happen and the characters were believable...that is not the norm these days but it is what I appreciate and what is missing in so many stories. Another thing I really liked was the writer did not feel the need to keep reminding the reader of his money.

I also enjoyed the push and pull between the H/h and the BFF, Drew was icing on the cake. Down to earth people, living life and responding to spontaneous events and people and sometimes taking chances. And there was closure for the characters that really sealed the story.

I was fortunate to receive a reader copy of the book and am pleased to highly recommend this book. It is a wonderful story that will leave your heart filled. OH, and one more thing...the cover photo matches what you think the hero looks like - for me that is a bonus.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Shane Perkins and Fiona Hall. When these two meet they are both attracted and repealed by one another. They both want to spend time together but they wonder can they really make it work. Shane is only in town for a short time and when he learns what his father did to her father he lies about who he really is. Fiona knows there is something Shane is keeping from her and the more she thinks about it she knows it has something to do with their fathers. Can they put what happened with their fathers in the past to have a future or will it destroy any chance they have before they even begin?

This is a great story about finding love and fighting for the chance to have a future with that love. There are some ups and downs in this story that I want to tell you all about. I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers though. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Shane Perkins, billionaire, and oil empire mogul is forced to retreat to Mystic while his company undergoes investigations following the explosion of one of their oil rigs... on his first day back in his childhood home he comes in contact with the sassy Fiona Hall who works in the hardware store in town, and isn't having any of his attitude especially when he thinks he knows all about boat building but is buying all the wrong materials for said boat.

Both Fiona and Shane are intrigued about each other and when they go on a date things heat up, but their families history may force them apart, and given Shane's recent issues with the oil rig explosion, it makes it harder, especially when he lives in Houston and her life is in Mystic.

This story was sweet, it was realistic, but that's about it... Small town average girl next door meets the billionaire of her dreams and he falls hard for her, and she for him... they have obstacles, but they aren't things that can't be over come. Not one of the better stories I've read of Emily Bishop's but it's decent.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Oh wow, this is my first novel by Emily Bishop and I have to say it is absolutely a fantastic read. You will love it. Cover photo is so hot
Shane Perkins, CEO of Perkins Enterprises has to make things right. A terrible accident at one of his rigs needs correcting so it won't happen again. The sins of the father shouldn't be passed onto the sons but fate dictates other things. Shane is trying to right things his businessman father has done but it takes time, which he hasn't got. Going to the town of Mystic to think things through, there he meets Fiona and that's where the fun starts.Fiona is feisty, sexy and Shane is absolutely smitten. Only one problem he has a big secret...who he really is. Absolutely loved the chemistry between these two and you so want things to work out. Brilliant storyline and you won't forget it in a hurry.
