I was born and brought up in the north of England, and worked for many years as the managing director of an interactive media company. I wrote every day - everything from creative proposals to user manuals - but most exciting of all was writing interactive dramas - including for the Cluedo (Clue in the US) interactive games. I was fortunate enough to sell my company in 2000 and we moved to Italy where we bought and restored an old country house.
I have published six full length novels and one novella, and my seventh Come a Little Closer is due for release in 2018. I now live on the beautiful island of Alderney in the Channel Islands, where I write full time.
I read the three books back to back - I couldn’t put them down. So many twists and turns I couldn’t work out how they would end. They kept me guessing right through to the end.
I will definitely be reading more of Rachel Abbot’s books
I read these one after the other and couldn’t put them down. I was totally absorbed in the characters and couldn’t wait to see how their lives panned out! The author has a flow to her writing that makes reading them easy and enjoyable; I’m definitely going to be reading more of Rachel Abbott’s books 😁💯
This is straight out of the creative writing course at your local college evening class. The story and structure chugs along with all the boring predictability of a washing machine cycle. Underdeveloped characters, as cliched and stereotyped as an American soap opera cast. One star for blindsiding a publisher!
Really enjoyed re-reading these three books - it wasn't until I started the second book that I realised I had previous read it. It still very much makes you think & it took me a long while to work out the who done it!
All three books keep you booked to the last pages, some pull at the heart strings in place where others make you wonder what goes on behind closed doors where YOU live, great stuff, now got the next three books in series.
I’m speechless! Absolutely speechless. Rachel’s writing is stunning. She weaves a clever plot with layered, complex characters and astounding detail. I loved all three of these stories and I’ve absolutely got a new favourite writer!!
