The plot is simultaneously over explained and poorly paced. They decided to adapt the TV episodes verbatim but didn't realise that not all elements would translate correctly in comic format.
The art style is charming but unfortunately I'd much rather recommend the TV series which conveys the exact same stories more effectively.

lots of over explaining of plot and no depth really at all, but it was cute art work so there's that

This adapts two episodes of the Saturday Morning cartoon show that introduced Scooby and his friends to the world. Having seen both episodes many times I can safely say that these are relatively faithful adaptations. This is beneficial for anyone who wanted to enjoy a certain episode without having to worry about if it was available on television. Of course nowadays with videos and streaming this is probably no longer a problem. All in all this is a good item. The stories were fun to read and definitely bring back memories of watching the show when it first came on televison (in my case) or when first discovering our favourite Great Dane (my kids' case). Of course if you don't like Scooby-Doo you my want to avoid this one. One other plus to the comic, no Scrappy-Doo. Happy reading.

So this isn’t the exact one that I read but I read a reprint through Scooby doo character studio and I loved it. Exactly like the original and the tv show!
