La Taqlaq, Do Not Worry

Rate this book
The journey of steadfastness, or the struggle for istiqamah in the illusions of dunya. The constant attempt for renewal of intentions and cultivating the soul to return to its natural mould. A continuation from the first book, Syafakallah May Allah swt Heal You. I choose to believe I have grown by His Mercy, hence risking myself into harder drops by my desires. This book is an aggressively subtle call for change, for myself first and foremost, before the attempt to reach the hearts of another.

"And thus We have revealed it as an Arabic legislation. And if you should follow their inclinations after what has come to you of knowledge, you would not have against Allah any ally or any protector."
- Ar-Ra'd 13:37

A struggling soul who seeks to observe life to its details while remembering the certainty of death in the uncertainty of time; what have I done to fulfil the rights of the Creator, the Prophet (may peace and blessings be upon him), my family, self and others to be able to meet death with a safe smile, God-Willing. I am no different from any other man, and we all lead inspiring lives in our own ways. I only chose to speak to others bits and pieces about mine, documenting memories, hoping someone after myself would take heed.

What a brilliant piece of literature! As a Muslim and a young Hafizah, I very much appreciate the idea of embedding pearls from the Quran and Hadith after the poems, as I love to discover the values and teachings of the verses that reside in my soul. The poems are beautifully written and thought-provoking, a perfect read for one who yearns to reflect upon a range of different topics (like pride and accountability) and delve into the small, unnoticeable things that we tend to overlook in our daily lives. This book deserves such high praise!

I wish I knew the author of this masterpiece. Tak sabar nak baca more of your works! ❤

A collections of poems centre mostly to the One and only. I really love this cover. Love a significance hadith and verses from Quran for each poem. I love “Conversations” part, quite romantic in a halal way. Gonna reread this for sure. It’s a good book when you can reflect yourself, and wanting to be better.

An anthology of beautiful poetry centred around love for the Divine. The author sure has a way with words, some brought me to tears. Was even inspired to write a line or two of my own. Jazakallah khair and thank you for inspiring ❤️

I love how each poem ends with a quote from the Quran or hadith which really makes each piece more grounded. I definitely love the wife section of the book. This book makes me grip the raw human emotion that never stops trying to get closer to his maker.

La Taqlaq is a collection of poems on the writer's journey in relaying his understanding of human existence. The themes range greatly - from humility, to guilt of one's folly, to the observations of human behaviour and more importantly, to the greatness of God. Verses of the Quran and hadith accompany the poems, but what is impressive is how the poems are also parallel to the quoted verses. It is a testament to how deep the writer's understanding of the verses are, and how it shaped and influenced his writing. His words are full of humility, yet they are filled with conviction that holds the reader's attention and interest, and the reader will be eager to come back for more.
