Cowboy Brother Bears

A great set of books by Harmony. I thoughly enjoyed reading them all. All the brothers had some problems they had to sort out. The problems they faced were emotional. Look forward to reading the next series of books. Anthea.

Needs more careful editing but love anyway

Loved the story but a consistent mistake I’m seeing throughout Harmony’s books is names being wrong when used in certain paragraphs. Eg: “Jon said” when it should be “Samuel said” and I’ve found this in many of the other books too.
Also, people don’t go around saying “I did not want to go to the shop”! They say “I DIDN’T want to go to the shop”. If language flows smoothly in a book then contractions are the norm. It really bugged me and whoever her editor is should know this and make corrections. Wish it was me!!!
Another thing, in this book the name of Adam and Lynn’s baby changed completely. From Freddy in Adams book to Joshua in this one.
Harmony needs a better editor and someone to check for name consistency. While I love the stories, and I truly do, those sorts of errors are jarring when reading the books. Call me if you fire your editor Harmony!

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I thoroughly enjoyed this collection. Each book in this collection is reviewed separately.

Cowboy Bear Blues - I really liked this story. I thought Lynn and Adam were great together. I loved seeing all the brothers coming to an agreement to treat the Ranch as a business so each of the brothers get equal shares, so any profit will be split equally and then whoever works on the Ranch will also receive a wage. I thought is was great as the tradition of the first born inheriting the Ranch and the others only get a wage is horrible, they just had to talk to their dad about it which was a huge thing as he’s all about sticking with tradition. He doesn’t take the news as horribly as they thought, yes, he’s a bit cross to start with but slowly comes around to his sons way of thinking. Man. Lynne’s parents were intense and extremely business focused. I’m looking forward to reading Samuel’s story next as we only got wee teasers that Samuel spends most of his time as a Bear and I wonder why he does that.

Cowboy Bear's Mate - I really enjoyed this story. I thought Samuel and Zoe are great together. I’m glad Samuel found his happily ever after as he’d seen Zoe a while ago in Bear form while her and her stepfather Jeremy were on the side of the road and he walked away from the roadside to shift, then he could casually run into as a man but by the time he got back to the road Zoe was gone so no wonder he spent most of his time in Bear form searching from mountain to mountain with no luck, and he thought fate was cruel but little did he know that they weren’t ready for each other yet as when he went with Adam to Lynne’s parents hotel to help move some furniture as they had their first guest their as a kind of trial and finds Zoe with Jeremy whose had multiple strokes so is reliant on Zoe but Samuel assumes that Jeremy is Zoe’s partner not her stepfather. I loved how the Williams family all rally around Zoe and Jeremy as they’re now part of their family. I loved how much Zoe and Jeremy care for each other and just want the other to be happy but they really needed to communicate more which they learnt to do which is great to see. I think Zoe’s idea about when she opens her gallery she eventually offers young people a chance and displays their art so they can hopefully get noticed, it’ll kind of piggy back off Dylan’s young offenders programme with Bear Bluff Construction. I’m looking forward to reading Jon and Monica’s story next.

Cowboy Bear's Fate - I really liked this book. I liked the connection betweenMonica and Jon. I found it weird that her parents never told her the truth about her dad being a Bear shifter until her little brother Ethan was having trouble controlling his shift and Monica saw him change. Her parents made the move to Black Bear Ford as the mountains and the wide open spaces are home for a Bear. While in the small town to get milk she meets Jon and Samuel. When Jon and her introduce themselves they both realise that they have the same last name and then Monica tells Jon that her family is from around these ways and used to live on a ranch but there was a family falling out. Her relative was Jerry Williams but Jon doesn’t recognise the name but his long lost uncle Al Williams could’ve changed his name to Jerry that’s why Jon’s dad couldn’t find him but Jon is confused as all the Williams’s have been boys and shifters and Monica isn’t one but Jon still agrees to help her find anything out about her family but he forgot to get her address of where to pick her up so him and Samuel followed her home as he didn’t want her to think that he stood her up but when he meets her dad there’s a weird undercurrent between them both as they’re both Bear shifters. I loved how Jon was supportive of Monica trying to find her biological dad and even accompanied her to the city to help her look but they found her granddad Marvin in a home instead. She’s lucky she had the dad she did as I hate to think what her childhood would’ve been like as her biological dad is a deadbeat.

I’d definitely recommend this collection, each book in the series and author to everyone.

Book 1 - Cowboy Bear Blues: The Williams family have run their ranch since the early days of Bear Ford, the ranch has been in the same family since the beginning, except for one parcel that was lost a long time ago, Adam's father has never forgotten it and when, Lynn inherits the ranch from her uncle. The feelings rise again. But Adam has found his mate and even if it goes against his father's wishes, he will do what-ever it take to make Lynn his. Book 2 - Cowboy Bear's Mate: Samuel, just missed meeting his mate, when he saw her drive away, after he had to shift from his bear form to try to meet her. He's been looking for a year and losing hope. Just when he finally decides to go and look for her, she returns, with another man. Book 3 - Cowboy Bear's Fate: When Monica Williams' family moves to Bear Ford, she travels with them to help with the move, she would love to live in the country but, she loves her job and there is nothing in the small town for her to do. Youngest William's son Jon, is hoping he won't be the only Williams who hasn't found his mate. When he meets Monica, his dreams come true, but Monica is a city girl and he's a country cowboy. What can the do to make their worlds entwine? Another great read, I actually have enjoyed all these series, they feel like family! (The book for the oldest brother is Black Bear down, its a good read, with a timeline just before this series.).

The stories are thoughtful and enjoyable. I appreciate that the characters meet and triumph over real life challenges and that the solutions are believable. My only problem is the editing. The writing is good but the editing is very problematic. For example, in one story the child's name is Freddy and in the next story the same child's name is Joshua. These types of glitches and those that misuse words simply leave me disoriented and interfere with my reading.

Cute trilogy

It lost a star due to continuity errors. I hate them and find it sloppy on both author and editor's part. Something as simple as a timeline or flowchart would prevent them.
Now as far at storyline goes, I enjoyed this trilogy. All four brothers are fun and I liked experiencing them woo their mates.

Fated mateswitha little steamy romance

This is such a fun series. Each book is about a bear shifter and his fated mate. Each story has its own challenges and each is different but all are well written and the characters draw you in. I highly recommend this set of books.

Very good

The content and style of writing was very exciting. The last book of the series was somewhat sloppy. Bad grammar in a few places and character confusion between Samuel and Jon. Samuel already has his mate so why would he need Monica.

I have read many, many shifter books of Harmony Raines. This set of three books are so very good. The tales are thoughtful AND playful and deal with family and relationships. Harmony Raines is an author I reach for when I need sunshine in my life or a warm fuzzy feeling. :)

Cowboys and Mates

Hot cowboy, sexy brothers what more do you need? These stories are beautifully told. Each struggle, test that each brother has to face to convince their women that they are there one and only true mate is so worth reading!

Family

I did not care for this last story in the series. It was not bad it just did not connect with me nor did I think it ended the series well. On the other hand it was an average story and I did read it all.

Brilliant

Cowboy Brother Bears by Harmony Raines. This box set is about 3 brothers Adam, Samuel and Jon, one by one, finding their mates and overcoming all the obstacles preventing them being together. Another set of wonderful stories by Harmony Raines.

Cowboy Brother Bears

I really enjoyed this 3 story series and how they were obviously connected.
One small issue, I’m sure has been pointed out before is: in the second story, Adam and Lynn’s baby was called Freddy, named after her Uncle she inherited the farm from. However, when they appeared in the third story the baby’s name was listed as Joshua.

Good omnibus of stories

A really good series. Not too long and interesting stories. Enough steam and emotion to go a long way. Only criticism is the names being muddled up several times. Should have been proof read before publishing. This is a pet hate of mine.
