Mister #1

Mr. All Wrong

Rate this book
The first time I met Evie Harper, she threw a cream pie at my face. I actually hadn’t met her, just saw her. It was more like she hated everything I stood for and showed me her opinion with an airborne cream pie. Yes, she smacked me front and center on my face. The second time I saw Evie, I didn’t realize she was the cream-pie-throwing bandit, and she took my breath away in a flowing red gown at a gala. Of course I couldn’t resist her looks, so I asked her to dance. She called me a schmuck and stalked off.

My own Cinderella ran away from me. I shouldn’t have chased her down. We were all wrong for each other. But her fire red hair and feisty personality reeled me in, and I was hooked. Chicago’s most renowned playboy was finally falling head over loafers. At least it felt that way because she was like no other woman I’d met before... Evie was special...

Problem was I had trust issues when it came to women. Freud would’ve probably said it was my mother’s doing. Somehow Evie made me believe in her... trust her...

Big damn mistake!

One I hope I won’t live to regret...

But then again how could someone so wrong for me turn out to be so damn perfect?

Charming as ever! RC Stephens knows her way around a HEA and keeps proving her worth every time she publishes a book. Her books are perfection time and time again and as always I get lost in her world of whimsical romances, always ready to dive back in searching for more.

Mr. All Wrong is simply breathtaking. Fun with a slow and steady sizzle build of love that I truly adored. I was enamored 100% with this title, characters and plot. The slow rise was perfect since it leads to unbelievable chemistry between characters who come from two different backgrounds who call to each other.

Colton is the sexy, confident, GQ Governor for Illinois. At one of the ever imperative press conferences he’s hit square in the face with a pie. Taken aback, he’s wanting to know who threw it but more importantly what their life is like. Is it simple, mediocre or high strung like his? Later on, at a Veterans gala he meets the red headed spitfire, Evie, and learns quickly that she is the good aim thrower behind that pie. Astonished with her, he wants to get to know her better.

He is infatuated with her simple life as a teacher and the more he gets to know her, the more his attraction grows for her. Only one huge complication: his father who wants to see Colton in the White House one day with Evie NOT by his side.

Obstacles arise for the newly found couple as their lives are complete opposites. Can they make it work? Or will it be all wrong for them?

Loved Colton’s character from the moment the book took off. He truly is down to earth even though he must act and present a certain way. This is an enjoyable story with bits of scandal, twists and turns that will keep you thoroughly entertained by the talented RC Stephens.

Sexy and scandalous, R.C. Stephens serves up one deliciously addictive read with Mr. All Wrong, who just happens to be Mr. Sorta All Freaking Right in my eyes! Holaaaaaay! As a first time reader of R.C. Stephens' work I was thrilled and almost beside myself giddy with the content.
A unique and refreshing heroine, a story line with a scandalous plot, a blindsiding twist, and one heck of a sexy hero! This!!! This is what I crave to read in books, and THIS, all of this *waves and flails arms around* is the reason this book will stick with me!

It's not often you'll have the sexiest Governor, in the history of EVER, chase you down, beg you for a date, spend time with you and not pick up on a major detail... men. Its things like that and the charm of this book and it's characters is what drew me in and kept me glued to the drama-lama events. At times certain -things- seemed a tad much but in the end it was simply perfect *dreamy sigh*

It's not all sunshine and roses for Colton and Evie on the way to their HEA, but gd it was well worth the journey and read! I highly recommend this book!!

4.5 Stars!!!
Mr. All Wrong is my 4th RC Stephens book. She has become one of my go to authors. Without even reading a synopsis, I know I will read her books. She is that good!

What she did with Mr. All Wrong blew me away. I honestly loved it. It's the type of book you can not put down. Constantly saying, just one more chapter! I gobbled it up. Right from the start it had me intrigued. Slowly building. Then once it started to roll, it dropped bomb after bomb baby!!!

Colton Matis and Evie Harper had a lot to do with my love for this book. They are such endearing and magical characters. Colton is a beautiful man inside and out. He is absolutely dreamy! He's the Governor of Illinois. He exudes power and confidence, but it's his softer side which makes him truly wonderful. Evie lives a simply life as a school teacher. Life has made her strong, independent and fiesty. This fiery redhead like it or not, tells it like it is! Both have had childhood issues, which have their hearts locked up tight....

After a rather priceless first meeting, Colton can not get this bold and mysterous redhead off his mind. When they come face to face again, Evie takes his breathe away with her beautiful face and dismissive attitude. Colton is shocked, awestruck and completely turned on. This playboy Governor is used to getting what he wants and he wants Evie... Only now he will have to work for this one! Can two people who seem completely WRONG for each other, be just RIGHT?

Mr. All Wrong had everything I NEED in a book. A heart warming, epic love story filled with laughter and a wickedly crafted plot that is full of twists! It is so more then just a sexy romance. Buckle and get ready for a ride....

Gemma’s Review

Mr. All Wrong intrigued me from the moment I read the blurb but I was pleasantly surprised that it was much more than what I was originally expecting. There was a lot more drama then I originally thought would be in the book. But there were also some parts in the story that made me laugh which created the perfect balance of drama and comedy in a story which I really enjoy.

Evie was a spitfire of a character that knows how to stand on her own two feet not needing anyone to take care of her. She had been hurt and rejected in the past making her have a hard time accepting her relationship with Colton.

Colton I absolutely loved from the first moment of the story and the way that he wanted to help people. I really felt for this character because he has been through so much in his life and then had everything he thought he knew turned upside down.

Mr. All Wrong is about Colton who is a political figure and Evie who is protesting against a company when she throws a pie that hot Colton straight in the face. Colton was instantly intrigued by the fiery red hair and made it his mission to learn more about her.

I really enjoyed the storyline of this story and some of the characters. I especially enjoyed Colton and couldn’t get enough of him. I did find that some parts dragged on a little bit, but overall it was an enjoyable story and I looking forward to reading more form this author. 4 stars #2OCCGE

Marie’s Review

This was the first book by R.C. Stephens that I have read. Mr. All Wrong had it right. Right cover. Right blurb. But, unfortunately, it wasn’t right. I really wanted to like this story, but I almost gave up on it several times. There was a lot of repetitive inner dialogue from the characters that slowed up the story.

The storyline of Colton and Evie was enjoyable. Their interactions were, at times, heartwarming. At other times, they were predictable.

Mr. All Wrong by R.C. Stephens is my first read from this author and I really enjoyed it! This sexy tale of romance between people from completely different sides of the class scale but who share some similar family back stories grabbed me from the first chapter and wouldn't let me put it down. Evie is such a strong female character I couldn't help but fall for her and cheer her on throughout. Colton, well he's just swoon worthy and shows when you fall in love that rules don't apply. I loved the twist and turns in the story and I'm happy to say I didn't predict them before hand. I didn't want to see this story end but the epilogue satisfied some of my need to know more. A fantastic read and I recommend this tale to anyone looking for something just a little different... 5 Stars for Mr. All Wrong by R.C. Stephens

Mr All Wrong by RC Stephens

Mr All Wrong was a bit of a topsy turvy read for me. On the whole I would say this is an enjoyable book to read, however, there were parts that just did not gel for me.
I did not always feel a real connection between Colton & Evie. I think this was more to do with the constant reiteration of Colton's 'ladies man' title & his defence of it.
I disliked Colton as a character yet I didn't think the author did this character justice with the way she gave him such a whimpy, weak personality.
The relationship between Colton, his 'best friend' Al and Colton's father did not make any sense to me...to go further would be to give storyline away.
I did love Evie & I loved the way that the author gave this story a multi-dimensional feel with the issues Evie had to deal with.
Overall a good book that fell short of expectations.

Mr. All Wrong is completely Mr. All Right!! R.C. Stephens is a fairly new to me author, but I am loving her and her writing style. (I read, Halo by her as well and that was a truly phenomenal read).
This story is about Colton and Evie who come from different socio-economic status, familial backgrounds and academic/professional backgrounds. Despite these factors, they could recognize some very common similarities as well.

Colton is a super sexy, powerful and appears to be a confident man. However, he is a flawed man. He is the Governor of Illinois with considerations to make a run at POTUS. This is something that he is questioning if it’s more for his personal well-being or something his father wants and is living vicariously through Colton. Colt also has major trust issues, especially when it comes to women. I won’t say why, but they are a result from his mother and secondarily because of his father.

‘I was a fucking grown man who was scared. Yes, I can use that word in my head only. I was scared to stand up to my old man. Fuck that was a difficult internal confession to swallow.’

Evie is a simple, yet beautiful, women that is more than happy to blend into the background. She is a single mother who is a teacher at a local deaf school that is fiercely independent. Through she has secrets of her own, they are more of a maternal protective nature. She meets the notorious panty dropping playboy after she throws a cream pie at his face during a rally. Colton is immediately enamored with her, even if he only sees her as a blur of red hair while running from the police.

‘When I spotted the female with the shouty voice, she had a cream pie flying at me faster than I could think. It slammed me in the face. The cool feel of whipped cream practically blinding.’…’The red-haired vixen got away’.

Mr. All Wrong is a perfect combination of steam, drama, soul-searching and hilarity that abounds. There were many touching moments from Colton as he expressed his love, faithfulness and trust towards Evie. The interaction between Colton and Carter (Evie’s 10-year-old son) was beautiful and ovary shaking. Colton’s willingness to adapt to Evie’s surroundings was just perfection.

Unfortunately, with the good comes the bad. As mentioned earlier, Colton’s issues include his runaway mom, domineering and threatening father, manwhore best friend and trust issues. Soon, Evie gets swept up in this family drama and things don’t appear to end well for Ms. Evie. She, unfortunately, has to make a choice that will cost her the only man she ever loved or her own personal sanity and safety.

Besides the h and H, we have the secondary characters, who are just as poignant as the main ones. They each brought their own pizazz to the story. R.C. Stephens wrote an incredibly well rounded romantic comedy/drama with a list of characters that felt like a whole family. The story and plot line flowed well with in depth histories of each character. Mr. All Wrong was a complete page turner keeping me intrigued from beginning to end.

Colton and Evie are such a great, steamy and heartwarming couple together. They have many twists and turns, revelations and hills that they need to counter both individually and as a couple. There was no question that they loved each other, but the question remains…Will they make it?

As usual, I’m an epilogue whore. I love that you get one little more peek into these characters lives, before you officially announce, ‘the end’. This epilogue did not disappoint! Thank you, Ms. Stephens for writing such a well-rounded, all-encompassing book with ‘all the feels’ and ‘oh no’s’!!

'She was more than lovely, she was beautiful, the way her blue eyes danced with mischief as she ran away from the police was now ingrained in my brain maybe forever. She was a free spirit and her smile breathed sunshine.'

Mr. All Wrong was perfectly all right for me! From the beginning of the story to the end, even with some of the more serious conversations, I smiled, I laughed, and I sighed. Two people with their own issues, come together and find a way to heal each other while tackling other problems.

Colton was a complicated man with trust issues. His mother ran out on him, his father is trying to live his life through him, his best friend is a manwhore and the woman with the pie could be the woman of his dreams. Oh, he doesn’t do relationships, he doesn’t trust woman and he damn sure doesn’t want to be POTUS … but his father does.

Evie is even a little more complicated than Colt. Deaf, a single mother, best friends with her son’s father. Her mother ran out on her too, but she’s made a path in her life that satisfies her. Until she throws that pie. Now, her life is upside down, dating the Governor and trying to believe in herself and decision to date a person who can hear. Until everything comes crashing down around her and she has to deal with the fall-out of the lies that Colton was told.

I adored this story. It was fun, refreshing and very well written. The interaction between Colt and Carter, his acceptance of her son, his willingness to learn ASL was beautiful. Evie’s determination to keep her heart safe and to support Colton was unwavering until she is put in a position that spells nothing but doom for her heart, her life as she knows it and her relationship. She handled everything like the strong, independent woman that she was. Then there was the ending and an Epilogue that really brought a smile to my face.

R. C. Stephens wrote what would probably be called a RomCom. But, it was so much more. Secondary characters that carried so much weight in this story and played significant parts in both Evie and Colton’s life were written with just the right amount of flair and finesse. She made us understand their pasts, their present and wonder about their futures. It was a well written book with a little bit of everything in it.

I've got to start this review by saying that this wasn’t my favorite book with this kind of content. The plot itself was good but it could use a bit more - not work but something. I have a feeling it was missing a chapter or two to fully understand this complex life that the Colton was living. This was my biggest issue. Not to the good parts :)

1. Evie Harper ; this girl will make you love this book so much. I love the fact that she is not perfect. She is a single mother (not that that is a problem), deaf and loves her simple and "normal" life by being a teacher. She is strong, feisty and takes no BS.

2. Colton Matis is far from perfect even if he's the governor and everybody loves him. I loved his confidence, the way he wanted to be a better man for Evie and her son. I loved him up until the announcement when all the secrets came to light – now that was a shitty move to do(!). Now if this was real life I personally would never let him back into my life. But thank God this is fiction and we can find it in our heart to forgive this misguided creature ( ;P)

HEA is inevitable and at the end you find yourself smiling and hoping that everything bad in the world would have the same conclusion - LOVE can concourse all :)

Mr. All Wrong was a story set around the political background of Illinois. Colton Mathis is the state Governor and an upcoming presidential candidate, only he doesn’t want to be. This is a man burdened by guilt who lives his life as set out by his father’s demands. Or he used to.
When he meets Evie Harper things start to change- in ways he’d never have imagined. There are a lot of twists and turns in this story, the characters are well fleshed out and the challenges they face more than the norm. Colt is sexy and has a wicked charm that Evie is hard pressed to ignore or evade. For all that she’s got a feisty side to her that shows whenever he gets too close.
Neither of them were looking for love, but when fate decides it’s time, then you just have to go with it.
But will they?
Grab your copy today and find out if Mr All Wrong can turn into Mr. Right.

Review for Mr. All Wrong

By R.C. Stephens

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Colton and Evie’s is that of a fairytale love story. Coming from the very different world only to be ripped apart by scandal, and fear. But brought back together by true love. They live their happily ever after.

This was a good story, with a touch of suspense and a heaping of sweetness.
I fell in love with Colton at the beginning of the book. I found him very sweet and gobbled up his instant adoration of Evie. This was the kind of insta-love that I can really get behind. Evie was such a lovely heroine. Cautious, but caring and sincere.
I did start to lose faith in Colton, but alas he was redeemable, and it was a nice ending. Though I would have appreciated some more grovelling to be done 😉

The story is an amazing and enjoyable read. It's about a man, Colton Mathis, who has been manipuated throughout his life. I enjoyed this so much once I stared I could't put it down until the last word was read and what a read it was. The highs and lows, the betrayal, lies and manipulation by a parent. The discoversy of all the lies will be the betrayal and cause of...
From his birth Colton has been groomed for one thing to become the President of the United States. But after gaining his law degree he has been a prosecutor's offfice to the State Attorney and now he is the Governor of Illinois. He hasn't made up his mind what he wants next.
Colton and Al, his friend/chief of staff, are on their way to have pizza with the second grade class who won a pizza party with the Governor. But as ususal his father made other arrangements. Now he's to be at the Henderson Place, a historic building that is going to be torn down and to become a strip of condominiuns. Colton is expected to make the appearance and with a handshake he'll gain the support of Bachmakers. But what he didn't expect was demostrators protesting the destruction of the building or having a pie thrown at his face... then having Al burst out laughing and recieving a pie in face also...

I'm a bit torn about this book. On the one side I liked the story, on how the characters found love despite their differences. On the other side, Colton was kind of a letdown for me. I'm not clear if he's supposed to be a dominant man since he's in a position of power and yet be so weak with doing what he really wants to do. I understand that he perceived his father as someone who has sacrificed for him. The way he says one thing and do the opposite. And when one of the conflicts was revealed, instead of trying to talk it out with the heroine, who does he go to? The other woman. That's still the thing that has always been my issue with some of the heroes in romance books. Smart people who don't seem so bright.

This was a story begging to be read. From the moment Evie told Colton off and ran away from him, I was hooked! Here's this sexy, confident, powerful man being taken down by a fiery little red-headed teacher. He didn't stand a chance. And neither did I, because the surprises just kept coming. Once you pick Mr. All Wrong up, you won't want to put it down.

Every moment we had with these two was spectacular. I was pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness of Colton and Evie's story. There were so many unexpected elements and realness to their situation. I applaud R.C. Stephens on how well she crafted their tale. Colton and Evie had so much depth and history. I loved getting to know them and how their pasts influenced their perception of others. Their similarities in these experiences is what ultimately brought them together and allowed them to fall so quickly for one another. What I loved most was Colton's willingness to be the man Evie needed and she the woman for him. He recognized how special she truly was and knew that he'd be a hollow man if he didn't do all he could to keep her. Evie also committed to helping Colton move beyond his fears associated with women. Their connection was undeniable, and their passion was explosive. I loved them both and enjoyed traveling the rocky road that led them to their happily ever after.

I have to note that the first few chapters were a little dense with redundancy regarding Colton’s feelings towards his forced political career and his father's controlling and manipulative nature, as well as Evie’s fears of becoming involved with someone not like her. Once we got through that, the author did a better job of focusing on the story and situations and less on the internal dialogue and self-doubt.

Mr. All Wrong by R.C. Stephens is a heart warming story. You think you're getting a modern day fairy tale, boy meets girl they fall in love and live happily ever after. Mr. All Wrong is full of surprises and twists, once one bomb was dropped they just kept on coming! A well written story that flowed, characters that were all well developed and likable. This is the type of book once you start reading you can't put it down. You just have know what is going happen page after page.

Evie Harper leads a simple life, she’s a teacher who spends most of her time either at school or home. Evie faced and overcame many obstacles in her life; its made her into the strong woman she is now. I loved Evie she truly is a special person, she's a spitfire who is not afraid to speak her mind and fight for what she wants. When her best friend suggest that they attend a protest, the governor is destroying a historical landmark. Evie throws caution to the wind and goes, doing something out of the ordinary she throws a pie in the face of the governor. Never in a million years did she think that throwing a pie would get the attention of Colton Mathis. Poor Evie the life she has ever known will forever change after that incident.

Colton Mathis is the Governor of Illinois, he's being groomed by his father to become President of the United States. Everything his father has done is to ensure that Colton becomes the President, a position that he does not want. Colton is consumed by guilt and obligation because his mother abandoned him, leaving his father to become a single parent and raise his son alone. His father also put his career in politics aside. Colton's persona is one of power and confidence; under all that hard exterior is a sweet caring man. A chance encounter with a fiery redhead will throw Colton for a tail spin. When he can't stop thinking about the woman who left a lasting impression on him, he decides to pursue her.

Both Evie and Colton had childhood issues making them guard their hearts, Colton has trust issues with woman, his mother up and left him without any explanation. What happens when Colton's past comes crashing down on him, will he survive it? How will Evie play into his past? Are they destined to be together or will fate intervene?

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

The first time I saw Evie Harper, she threw a cream pie at my face. It was more like she hated everything I stood for and showed me her opinion with an airborne cream pie. Of course, I couldn't resist her looks, so I asked her to dance. She called me a shmuck and stalked off.

My own Cinderella ran away from me. I shouldln't have chased her down. We were all wrong for each other. But her fire red hair and feisty personality reeled me in and I was hooked. Chicago's most renowned playboy was finally falling head over loafers. At least it felt that way because she was like no other woman I'd met before...Evie was special.

Problem was I had trust issues when it came to women. Freud would've probably said it was my mother's doing. Somehow Evie mad me believe in her....trust her....Big mistake. One I hope I won't live to regret. But than again how could someone so wrong for me turn out to be so perfect.

This book is a super fast read because you can not put it down. This is a very character driven book and the characters will make you fall in love with them. Colton is just a perfect man in every way possible and he is the governor of Illinois. He has this confidence about him while a softer side peeps through. Evie is a school teacher and has a quiet life. She is strong and passionate and you will love her too. So total opposites. Opposites that totally belong together and take you on quiet the journey.

Seriously... With a tittle like this and a cover like that what can I think of this?? Well I have read wonderful things about this author so I needed to see for myself so let's do it.
R. C. Stephens is a new author to me and I really enjoyed her writing. She gift us with a simple, intense and funny writing.
Mr. All Wrong explores the lifes of Colton and Evie.
Colton is a powerful and confident man but that's not only because he's the governor. He has a heart bigger than the world but he doesn't trust easily. His family has great expectations for him but he just wants piece and quiet.
Evie is a teacher that loves her job. Used to be on her own she's strong, independent, stubborn and fierce.
On a veteran dace they meet each other and....
Oh boy... I wasn't expecting this at all. I thought I was gonna find one thing and then bamm.
The plot is intense, inviting and engaging and the interaction between the characters is bumpy, beautiful and intense.
Unfortunately there are people out there that have the gift to annoy and their only goal is to sabotage us in order to achieve their goals and this book will show you just that.
In life nothing is for granted so we need to fight for what we want and for what we belive but sometimes that's not easy.
One minute I thought that everything was going to be fine and then bamm... it was all wrong. Jesus what rollercoster...
Amazing book R. C. Stephens and I can't wait for more.

Colton and Evie’s story is the perfect romance. It really is. A woman with her own life challenges, a privileged man, two different social statuses and one strong as hell connection.

When the expected presidential runner and current governor gets a pie in his face at an official event, he’s curious. Upon meeting her again, and even though is screws up, he’s determined. When he shows up at her place of work – magic happens. That’s how Colton sees it, anyway.

Evie happens to be tagging along when Jake, her best friend, is protesting a destruction of a town historical landmark. She throws a pie at him, hitting him square in the face. Panicking, she runs away, but not before leaving a baffled Colton curious as hell. When he asks her to dance at a ball, she’s nervous, worried he’ll recognize her and get her arrested. She runs again, only to get the shock of her life when he’s in her classroom the next day.

There’s a lot to the plot here, this story is complex, it’s interesting and I really couldn’t put it down. The twists and turns are surprising (albeit not really believable at times) and the supporting elements, including the minor characters in the book, make it all wrap up nicely.

The only thing that bothered me to the point where I considered giving up on the book (only didn’t because as I mentioned, the story is captivating), is the writing. It’s obvious that an advanced copy would be littered with typos – that’s fine. But sometimes the phrasing of things, missing words and inconsistent tenses really drove me crazy. I’m holding on to hope that it sees a strong editor before release, and on that hope alone I’m rating this.

I loved Mr. All Wrong by R.C. Stephens! It was such a charming book! It was a bit angsty, funny and sexy. The story and characters will pull you right in.

I loved Evie Harper. She was a strong heroine who was independent and feisty! I loved that about her. She is a school teacher and loves her life simple and uncomplicated.

As the governor of Illinois, Colton Matis is a man who knows what power is. He is confident and sexy. But he also hides so much. He wants to walk down one path, but his father has a different path in mind.

I loved Colton and Evie. The sparks are their between them from the start. She throws a pie in his face. He chases her. But there are so many obstacles in their way. Mainly his father, who wants him to continue down a politician path and does not want Evie anywhere near his son’s life. Can Colton and Evie find a way to let love in or will they walk away from all they can have?

Colton and Evie faced so much together. I cheered for them and loved their story. It was sexy and emotional and had me wanting to find out how it all would end. I really enjoyed reading Mr. All Wrong by R.C. Stephens.

So fun and unique, I loved it instantly. I have read so many books and to still be surprised by one is so awesome to me. This book had me laughing, and cheering, wanting romance and wanting the chemistry. Colton and Evie comes from two different worlds but somehow find themselves it each others paths. What happens when the feisty Evie surprises the political and born into the life of politics Colton? Sparks fly, words fly, do clothes also fly? Thank you for allowing me to read this and write about it.

What a great love story, Mr All Wrong turns into Mr Oh So Right... A playboy Governor who shy's away from anything resembling a relationship and a single mother, a match made in political heaven!! This book had so many twists and turns there was never a dull moment and I had a few late nights because I just couldn't put it down. From light hearted banter to hard hitting emotional family deceit this story had it all. I'm looking forward to reading much more from this extremely talented lady!

Stephens proves you can have a captivating romance with a little less heat and an abundance of sweet. Mr. All Wrong mixes heartwarming with emotional and hysterical to create a masterful, modern, hard to resist, fairy tale. Colton is a man with a plan. Except when the plan takes a backseat to the heart he's ignored for so long. All it took was a misplaced pie, a spirited adversary and the courage to follow his heart. Colton and Evie are a refreshing work of art.

3.5 star read for me. I was very excited to read this one after reading the blurb but Unfortunately I had a hard time getting into the story. I thought I was getting a romantic comedy but it ended up being more of a drama with a few funny parts. It was definitely a unique story and I did love Evie and Colton eventually but I had a hard time connecting to them. The story was written really well it was just not one to keep my attention.

Mr. All Wrong by R.C. Stephens is the story of Evie Harper and Colton Mathis. . Colton is a handsome man who is governor of the state of Illinois. He is sexy and dominant. He is a good person, considering that his father is not. He exudes power, confidence and sex appeal but also what makes him really stand out is his gentler side. His father wants him to run for President of the United States but all Colton wants is a simpler life. When a pie hits him in the face at a press event, he starts wondering about the person who did the throwing. He happens to see a glimpse of the person and it gets him to wondering about the pie thrower and how his/ her life is. Later on that night at a Veterans dance, Colton meets Evie, better known as Pie thrower and Colton is head over heels for Evie. There is sparks between them immediately. Evie just a school teacher who was brought up by her Uncle who was a Vet. We find out she only was at the press event because of a friend who was there as a protestor; they were upset about a building being taking down. Evie lives a simple life as a school teacher for the deaf which is something she knows a lot about . The love story starts off simple and it grows . What seems like a boy meets girl and boom, love erupts grows to become complex and intense.
This love story is mixed with complications. Colt’s father does not want him with Evie and he definitely causes trouble for their newfound love. He digs up trouble and causes trouble for Evie and for his son Colt. There was a huge twist in the story and it impacts the love story between Evie and Colt. Will their love survive or does Colton’s father get what he wants and ruins their relationship and pushed his son into what he wants, not what Colton wants. Only way to find out is to read this beautiful and emotional romance read. I really enjoyed this R.C Stephens romance and I cannot wait to read Colt’s best friend book.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *****

Mr. All Wrong by R.C. Stephens is the story of Evie Harper and Colton Mathis. Colt is the Governor of Illinois and his father has been sitting his life in place to lead to the Presidency at the White House.
But Colt has been getting tired of being lead by his father and he isn't even sure he wants to run for the White House. When a pie hits him in the face it starts him thinking about the pie thrower and how his life is. When he meets the Evie/ Pie thrower he is attracted to her and wants to get to know her. Evie just a school teacher who was brought up by her Veteran Uncle. When she goes along with a pie throwing protestor friend who is upset about a building being taking down. Evie tries to ignore Colt at a benefit ball but he isn't having it.
This was a sweet romance that I so enjoyed reading!
