Accumulating Clues

A high speed accident on the M4 and a the resulting death of the driver have consequences for a man who comes home from work unexpectedly.The following investigation by the Detective Inspector Thompson and his two Constables Russell and Trudge turn up an absolute multiplicity of of clues; all leading them to the conclusion that a crime has been committed. The problem is that the clues build up into a substantial case that leads absolutely nowhere. A nosey neighbour, a wardrobe, a bloodstained bread-knife, a carpet cleaning machine,an apparently mad woman, with five kids,married to a philandering DIY Store Manager, a missing woman and an almost empty bank account add up to an accumulation of clues to be unravelled .
