A father dies and his six (adult) children have to find their way in the world without him.
Beautiful stories with interesting characters and all-time subjects. Like abuse, love, mourning.
The different viewpoints throughout the stories makes that you see the things from all sides. Which makes it come even more alive.
I cant wait to read the stories of the other three siblings!

Lady Emily's Escape
It's a very quick, fairly sweet read. I can't call it light because the abuse of one's romantic partner is an abomination, especially when the one being abused has no recourse to escape. I didn't feel like there was quite enough story for me to fully connect with the characters. The ending is as expected; the only way for Lady Emily to escape and keep her good reputation. It's well written and a good escape for an hour or so.
Charles and the Intruder
Not quite as short as the first book, but still a very quick read. I felt like I had a little bit more connection to the characters this time around; the story itself is more focused on Charles and Abigail rather than the rest of the Catesby family. It's still very sweet and much lighter than the first. This time around, a little bit of intrigue is introduced through Charles' friend Richard Livingstone and his mysterious recent activities. I'm very curious to see where the series takes us next.
The Mysterious Lord Livingstone
I’ve wanted to know more about Lord Richard since we first met him. I was sure there was more to him than what appears on the surface. And there is. Quite a lot more. I loved watching Richard and Helena get their chance, since they’ve been pining for one another for what seems like forever. This book has some wonderful intrigue and suspense as well as some moments that left me laughing out loud. I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store for the rest of the family.

From the very beginning of the first book in the series I was hooked. "House of Catesby" by Sunny Brooks takes the regency era to a whole new level. The characters are engaging, and easy to fall in love with, always hoping that they get the happily ever after they deserve. Sunny Brooks portrayal of the lead characters gets to the heart of their lives, what they love and hate, and what they are trying to find in a happily ever after. They are stripped down to their attributes and flaws making them very lifelike. The story line is filled with emotion, unexpected twists, heartache, family and most of all love.

This series is one of the best regency collections I have read this year and I can't wait to see what the rest of the series holds if its anything like these first three stories. I recommend this book to all lovers of romance, not just historical romance readers, as its heartfelt story lines and wonderful characters make these books exceptionally great reading. The five star rating doesn't seem enough!

Lady Emily's Escape

Lady Emily is married to a monster and her brothers sends her friend to rescue her. I feel that Lady Emily is strong, but is on the verge of completely submitting to her abusive husband. I feel falling in love with Lord Markham is wrong, and it is just a transfer of affections to someone who cares about her. The flight from her husband was exciting especially for a short story.

Charles and the Intruder

Who falls in love with a woman that lives in your empty house? Timid Charles does then he tries to save her. I laughed over the inanity of this plot. I did enjoy the light hearted way.

The Mysterious Lord Livingstone

This story was very good. At first it started out as if Helen was a very timid woman but soon shows some backbone once she has an idea what Richard's feelings are about her. I understand she didn't want to pursue someone who feelings weren't engaged.

This boxset has been sitting in my kindle library for around a year, and when Love Light Faith made it free for ARC review, I decided to read and review it, as I already owned it.

I did not love this boxset. The last book was the most exciting, and had the most believable romance, as we did not see most of its growth. The first two, unfortunately, were a bit too instalovey for me. I didn't like how quickly the characters professed their love, as it just seemed unrealistic for me. They'd known each other for a week or two at most, and then suddenly were in love? That just didn't work for me.

At any rate, I'm glad these were short books (a bit over 100 pages each), as I finished the boxset in a day. 3 stars.

This is a collection of three books in this series.

The first book I didn’t care for because I felt like there should have been more of a separation in escaping from her husband’s abuse and her finding love again. Both at the same time didn’t sit right with me. Stolen kisses are always bound to be discovered. 3 stars.

The second book I liked more. An absent minded professor type guy finds a girl in his abandoned London townhouse. Love follows closely behind it. A little unbelievable but interesting nonetheless. 4 stars.

The third book I loved. It had intrigue and spies, narrow escapes and adventure. Very good book. It really drew me in from the beginning. 5 stars.

This is an entertaining set of good reads. I read two of the three books that make up this set when they came out separately. I had not read the third book until I read this set. The stories are interrelated, but each is a standalone read and has unique themes and circumstances. All are "clean" romances (no explicit sex) set in the regency era. The first book (Lady Emily's Escape) has a little more angst and danger than the others, the second book was more fun and laid back, while the third included a bit of mystery and intrigue. All are quick, enjoyable reads.

Literally just finished reading this box set. All three stories are really well written and keep you on the edge of your seat and anxious to get to the end. You don't have to read the previous book necessarily but it definitely was a much better read having all three together and not having to wait for the next one to come out. The characters will have you invested right from the beginning. The way they flow together is also very commendable.

I loved the way this author writes her stories as they are so eloquently written that the words just seem to float off the pages and caress your spirits and make you feel as if you are apart of the story. The characters just come off the pages and when the author writes something you feel as if you are the character and you are feeling their emotions like fear, joy and anticipation of a wedding or the feelings of a funeral. I loved these books.

I found each of these stories to be great on their own but excellent as a group since each strengthened the other. I must say I enjoyed the third book the most, probably because it seemed the first two led up to a great conclusion. You will fall in love with this entire family, however the love story between Helena and Richard will keep you on th edge of your seat. The first in this series about Emily brought me to tears, and the second about Charles and Abigail made me chuckle at their antics.

A VERY ENJOYABLE TRILOGY

This was an enjoyable trilogy about 3 of the Catesby family adult children following the passing of the family patriarch. There are more children remaining in this family, so I look forward to more books in this series. Each of these books is a stand alone story with each having its own HEA. All of the books are also very clean romance suitable for all ages and I would recommend these books.
I received an ARC copy of this book. However, this is my voluntary, honest and personal review.

Three cute Regency stories

The first story was the most intriguing. It almost had an ending which was probably not uncommon in these situations, but resolved itself to a typical romantic ending. The second was again an unusual premise with the most intriguing female character that quickly turned typical. The third forgets the resolution of the second story and creates a wildly out of character plot around a villain that should not exist at that point in time. The third story was the weakest most typical Regency fair and had me rolling my eyes at the sheer stupidity.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading these books by Sunny Brooks. The books follow the stories of the Catesby household and how they find love.I especially enjoyed the second story about Charles and his lady love. I admired Charles's character and the story was beautifully written. I would sure like to know what happens to the rest of the Catesby clan!!

These books are sweet, clean, and interesting. The books start with getting to know the Catesby family, and the drama that unfolds when their father suddenly dies. There are happily ever after. Many novellas are stand alone, but I think these are much better together. I know there is a 4th book now that I'm excited to read.

Three well written stories that have nice storylines and plots. Likeable characters who develops nicely.
A box set with stories that all are clean and have nice chemistry and passion. They are about the Catesby family and what happens when suddenly the father of the house dies.
They can be read as standalones but I recommend reading them all because you get more of the background.
Recommendable and enjoyable read.

This three-book set is quite well done. The characters are drawn out and the story compelling. I read the first one in a single day! There is abuse in the first story (evil husband abuses wife), but it is not described in detail, which I appreciated. The ending was satisfying and quite happy.

Great Historical fiction

This was a great historical fiction book with a little twist of mystery to it, just enough to make it exciting, yet not scary. I really enjoyed the twist of plot in each of the stories in this book. I think this is a great historical fiction series to read. I hope each one enjoys it as much as I did.

Loved this! The first three books were so great to read back-to-back! Each one has its own unique flavor and feel. The perfect blend of romance, page-turning suspense, and a rich, period backdrop; what more could you ask for? I can't wait until the next one.
