I am blown away with this series. I really am. I am loving the different characters, the settings, the 'monsters' and the complexity of the world. ON TO VOL 4. Apparently the last in the series -gobsmacked- Honestly? I thought it was a multi volume series. At least 12 okay... I'm not crying! You're crying.

I like the way that the story weaves the past stories into what's happening now. I'm curious how it's all related, and how it's going to tie it all up in one final volume.

This will be a spoiler free review. Onto the review!

Yet another manga I’ve read recently that I wish was much longer. This is a four volume series, but I wish it had more. The story follows these people who live underground and are dealing with giant monsters who keep attacking their cave villages. Aside from that, I can’t say too much more without spoiling it. I do think it was a well done short series, but I wanted at least ten or fifteen volumes, not four. Just as I was really starting to have fun with the characters and the plot, it ended.

Also, shame on my library for not having the final volume and making me turn to scanlations. Apparently, this is a common enough issue with libraries that most people have either had to stop reading or turn to scanlations. That’s just sad. Get the fourth volume, please. Libraries exist to prevent people from needing to turn to scanlations, not to bottle neck them right into it. Sad.

I’m going to keep my eye out to see what else this mangaka writes, because I am now curious to see what else he might write. I think it might be a while until he writes any more manga, because he’s mostly a video game designer. But you never know.

Have a nice day/night everyone!
