About the author

Author Imani currently lives in Woodbridge, VA. She is an avid reader of romantic suspense, urban fiction, and drama. She has been passionate about writing since she was around the age of twelve and uses it as a way of escape from the real world. Born and raised into a God-fearing strict family, she felt she had nothing but her imagination to keep her entertained. And what an imagination it was! She'd fill notebooks after notebooks with stories with only her parents to read. They often told her she had great talent, but having dealt with low self-esteem, those words did nothing to boost her confidence in herself. She'd write and throw away everything that she'd work hard on because she just didn't have it in her to have her work published. Though she started writing at a young age, it wasn’t until recently did she decide to share her stories with the world. Her first novel, A Twisted Betrayal, was published under One Karma Publishing in June 2015. Lovin’ the Enemy followed shortly after and was released in August 2015 under Urban Chapters Publication. She is currently working on part 2 of A Twisted Betrayal and Lovin’ the Enemy. She was also voted as Author of the Year by One Karma Publishing. When she is not reading or writing, she is shopping, listening to music, spending time with family and close friends, or simply enjoying life.
