I’m broke. As I sit here with tears rolling down my face I can honestly say this is an epic read. It is beautifully written and the storyline is brilliant.
I read lots and there is only a handful of authors that have had me in bits. Well done 👏👏
Dahlia and Roanna. Mother and daughter. Roanna has a serious heart condition and every day is a battle to survive. Her mum is her hero. She has devoted her life to being Roannas everything. When the new cardiac doctor Kieran Bell arrives Roanna knows she needs to fight for her mum to love again.
I absolutely loved those characters. I just loved everything about the book. I read 70% last night. Then this afternoon when I sat down to read the rest I didn’t realise I’d be sobbing by the end. As with stories like this we think we know how it’s gonna end but then there’s a twist. After grabbing another tissue and a few deep breaths there’s another curveball thrown at me. Then the end.. just thinking about it has the tears flowing again.
This truly is a brilliant read. It will certainly stay with me for a long time and is definitely going to be one of my favourite reads this year.

Oh goodness, my heart hurts.
I actually started this one awhile ago. I’ve never heard of the author but I read a sample and was hooked. It’s taken me so long to finish because some other new books released that I wanted to check out. So I finally finished tonight and I was not disappointed.
Dahlia is a single mother to Roanna who has a life threatening medical condition. She’s in a constant state of worry when it comes to Ro. Kieran is Ro’s new doctor and it’s not long until him and Dahlia become more than friends. But life isn’t all fairy tales and happy endings. Dahlia didn’t know it then but Kieran walked into her life at just the right time.
This was really hard to get through at times. Dahlia reminded me so much of my Mom, who I lost 7 years ago. I grew up with both of my parents unlike Roanna but my Mom was the kind of Mother Dahlia was. She worked her ass off and she always always puts her child first.
“Don’t stop living because you think I will. I promise to fight for my life if you promise to fight for yours.”
Ro was wise beyond her years that’s for sure. That young woman was smart and she knew her fate but she never let it get her down. She certainly was an inspiration.
Kieran was pretty perfect. He really was just a good genuine person. The way he cared for Dahlia and Ro was so sweet.
I don’t even know how I feel about the outcome. I mean it was great but just incredibly sad as well. Am I happy? Am I sad? How am I suppose to feel? 😭😭😭 It really was good guys but I’m telling you now, you will cry.

It has been a long time since I was this mad about a book - and I say that in the best way!!! Man I was pissed. Because this book really packs a punch!!!! I immediately fell in love with the storyline and the characters, I finished this in less than 2 days. Reading this - I was so caught up....even though you know it's not going to end well...but I think that was part of the amazing draw! Gosh I loved everyone!!!! Man I cried, alot!! My first read by this author and I will have to check out more of her stuff!!

I've been broken by the pages of a book.
Dahlia is simply a single mother doing her best to protect her daughter from the faultiness of her own heart. They both play it safe trying to prolong Roanna's life. Putting her own needs and wants aside, Dahlia gave her daughter everything she could.
After Roanna's lifelong doctor retires, he leaves the girls in the capable hands of a handsome, young doctor. Doctor Keiran Bell. Slowly the professional relationship blossoms into something different.
This story hit me so deeply. Growing up, I had a best friend who suffered from a heart condition that required several surgeries and constant medications. The similarities between her and her mother and Roanna and Dahlia knocked me to my knees while at the same time being so different.
This is by far DC Renee's best, most heart-wrenching story yet. I ended the story with my eyes puffy and a pile of tissues next to me because this is just one book that will make you ugly cry something fierce. DC is known for the twist in her books leaving you floored and asking, "What the heck just happened?!". This story is no different. It's emotional, inspiring, and heart-breakingly beautiful.

D.C. Renee continues to astound readers with her heart wrenching tale of a young mother struggling to save her daughter from a heart that has been broken since birth. Throughout this novel, Renee provokes your emotions from happiness to tears with the flip of another chapter engaging you until the very end. Her characters are honest, true, emotional and show such strength despite their adversities. Renee has truly written another wonderful book to add to her collection. If you are looking for an emotional read that will capture your heart, then look no further than Save My Heart. I highly recommend you read this one from Renee.

Grab your tissues this is a tear jerker
Where to start poor Roanna my heart breaks for Ro she was totally deal a crappy hand n life her wish is to see her mum fall in love cue the dr Kieran
Things happen along the way and love comes out to play
Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen I was thrown a curve ball I didn’t see coming cue the tears baby
Now I could tell you what happens but you need to read this book it’s full of emotion there are fun times and times you swoon over there love but all in all it’s seriously that freaking good and very emotional
Dc Renee this book even tho it’s very emotional is by far one of my favourites you have out done yourself

Wow! D.C. Renee does it again! A perfect mix of touching moments, sexy times, and heartbreak. This is a love story in the truest sense. A mother's love, a family's love, a doctor who loves what he does, and falling in love. But with love comes compromise and sacrifice. Don't miss this story that will touch your heart on so many levels!

Ahhh! D.C. Renee really surprised me with this story! I thought for sure I had figured out the ending but NOPE! what a surprise! SAVE MY HEART was such an enjoyable heartfelt story, I had such a beautiful reading experience!

This isn’t the first time I’ve read this quote, but I love it just as much. This quote is the perfect representation of Save My Heart. It’s right. This isn’t a love story, but a story about one of the most amazing loves that will forever live on. It didn’t happen right away, but by the time I was reading the last words, my tears wouldn’t stop falling! So yes, you will definitely need a box of tissues handy! I loved Kieran! He was so sweet. He was perfect for Dahlia and Roanna. He was everything they needed and more. DC Renee has once again delivered another great story that will never be forgotten!

Here is my review for this 5+ star read. Oh and don't forget your tissues before you start reading this story that will make you ugly cry.
It has only been Dahlia and Ro. Dahlia has spent her life making sure Ro, who has a heart condition, leads as normal of a life. It is all about her daughter. I loved Ro. She was so strong but yet so funny. Some of the snarky comments that come out of her mouth will have you laughing out loud. Then there is Kieren, sigh, Dr. Kieren Bell, Dr. McHotty or Dr. McDreamy or just your next BBF. He was so loving and sweet. He will make you swoon many times. Matter of fact maybe I should hi light some of the things he did and send them to my husband.
This story...... I have read all of Ms. Renee's books and know that she is the queen of twists that you won't see coming. With that said I waited and waited.... At about 75% I was sweating a little, at 80% I was sweating a lot, then I got a reprieve and sigh of relief. But how fooled I was. Somewhere in the after that was one sentence that changed my view. Yes I had to put down my kindle to rant, rave, cry, cuss, cry, cuss some more, and throw a little bit of a hissy. I talked myself down and finished the story through the haze of my tears. Yes this twist was a not what I expected. I thought about this story long after I stopped reading it. If you loved Bright Side I highly recommend this book.

This is the first book by this author that I have read and I want to read more. This story is so dang good. I didn't want to put it down at all but had to because my emotions were all over the place. .
I thought I had this story figured out then I didn't once I got past the part I thought was coming I knew what had happened and I had tears screaming down my face as I read the words I didn't want to be there My heart was shattered.
This story will grip you from the get go, your heart will break at points but at others you will find happiness and love and all the great stuff that goes with it. This book easily made it into my top read of 2017. It has been days since I read this book and the story is still right there in my head and heart. I highly recommend this story to all readers who love an ugly cry with romance.

Wow, what a tear jerker. Just as you think things are one way the author throws a curve ball and bam the story goes in a very tears different direction.
I didn’t like the end and kind of saw it coming.... Kieran was amazing... such a sad story.

Received an ARC at no cost to authors on behalf of Saint and Sinners. Get a box of tissues before you even sit down to get comfortable and start to read, because I guarantee that you will cry, and not just any cry, but loud, sniffling, mascara running down you face ugly cry. We meet Roanna, and your heart goes out to her, the author makes you feel a sliver of what she is feeling. She wants her mother to get a chance to fall in love, and she wants Dr. Kieran to be that love interest. We get a hope that this is it for her, everything going ok, and then bam not the case and that begins our tears, we feel them all, but I would do you a disservice if I were to tell you about.

4.5 stars!!!! This book destroyed me, utterly destroyed me. If the author was in front of me I would have punched her, but my kindle bore the brunt instead. But it was so good in the best way, even if it killed me in the process.

They had been through so much as Roanna had a heart condition and Dahlia had spent her life making sure that Roanna had the best life she could with the best care. But now she is ill again and a transplant is the only option. Roanna's life lies in the hands of a new doctor, Dr Kieran Bell.
Kieran and Dahlia become close...a romance neither expected. The author throws in a curveball, one I never saw coming and this ending will be one I will never forget and one you will least expect.

The writing style was not my favorite , the morals behind the story were meaningful and poignant , the ending was DEFINITELY NOT what I expected , broke my heart to pieces.

This is the first book I have read from this author. I am so glad I came across this book. Even though I was left bawling my eyes out it was such an amazing read.
Dahlia and Roanna have the kind of relationship all wish for with the mother/daughter. Dahlia has sacrificed everything since she found out her daughter has a bad heart. Her boyfriend promised her a future until they found out Dahlia was pregnant. They made plans but when he went off to college a family all of a sudden wasn't what he wanted.
Now 15 years later and there is a new Dr. in town. Kieran was more than Dahlia was expecting. Handsome, sexy and NICE! He was the first guy she ever let into her and Roanna's world. They were building a life together but Roanna's heart was finally not working any more.
This book you get the special love between mother/daughter, Dahlia/Kieran and Kieran/Roanna. The sacrifices a parent will make to give their child just one more day. This book is heartbreaking but handled in such away that you go away feeling hope. I loved where the epilogue concluded the story. I read a lot and some stories stay with you and some you forget as soon as you start a new book, but I can honestly say that this story will linger for many years in my heart and mind.

Oh goodness....this book obliterated me. This totally broke me. Starting with the prologue told in 16 year old Roanna's point of view. I swear there were ninjas cutting onions following me throughout this book.
This story is told in 3 point of views. Mostly in Dahlia(Ro's mom) and Dr. Kieran Bell's POV. Ro has a heart condition that really hasn't allowed her to live a "normal childhood/teen years" she's been in and out of hospitals, not putting too much on her heart to be overworked. Her mother sacrifices everything for her. She happily does it, her drive to do anything for her daughter to live a longer life. As she is getting older, her heart is dying, and they're running out of time to help her.
Dr. Bell is taking over Ro's case and is the new cardiologist in town. He is amazing. He becomes a part of Ro and Dahlia's life seamlessly and them to his life as well. Dahlia and Kieran are so PERFECT for each other. I love love their story.

I ❤️ all of DC Renee’s books. This one shot all the way to the top of my favorites list before It broke my heart. And It will break your heart too.
Dahlia is a strong single mother striving to do the best and be the best for her daughter. She is strong, she is independent, she is relatable and I️ think she is awesome. Roanna is her teenage daughter, struggling with a heart condition but she doesn’t let It get her down. She really is the epitome of strong. She has an awesome perspective on her life and I love her sense of humor. Keiran. A soap opera doctor. I was thinking about McDreamy but with a hot body. He’s a doctor with a lot of heart.
Keiran and Dahlia have a great relationship and I love how he always includes Roanna. He does everything he can to eliminate Dahlia’s fears. He loves Ro just like she is his own. And his actions all throughout the story prove that.

This story is about a woman called Dahlia, a mum whose daughter Roanna has a serious heart condition, and the struggles and love she finds in the most unexpected person, Dr. Kieran Bell.
This book is really sweet and the relationship between Dahlia, Kieran and Roanna is heart melting. The love, acceptance and connection was a pleasure to read. Although you spend that time waiting for the penny to drop.
This story had great characters, an enjoyable plot and the threat hanging over it of something terrible gave it that little kick and made it stand out. It unleashed all the feels and I spent a good little while blurry eyed and sniffling.

This story is about a woman called Dahlia, a mum whose daughter Roanna has a serious heart condition, and the struggles and love she finds in the most unexpected person, Dr. Kieran Bell.
This book is really sweet and the relationship between Dahlia, Kieran and Roanna is heart melting. The love, acceptance and connection was a pleasure to read. Although you spend that time waiting for the penny to drop.

I thought I knew what would happen. A happy ending??? Yes, but very unexpected. I had no idea until one word said it all and the tears started to fall. Tears of sadness, tears of joy, tears for an emotional and amazing book that had me hooked from start to finish. It took a little longer to read because I didn't want it to end. I didn't want it to end because I wasn't sure if I could handle an ending other than the one I was waiting for all along. Well guess what? I made it through and I am glad. I am not really sure I have words to explain this book but I know that it will stay with me for a long time. I honestly don't think my words can do it justice. It is something that must be experienced. A story about love and joy and loss. Do yourself a favor and read it!!!!

This isn’t the first time I’ve read this quote, but I love it just as much. This quote is the perfect representation of Save My Heart. It’s right. This isn’t a love story, but a story about one of the most amazing loves that will forever live on. It didn’t happen right away, but by the time I was reading the last words, my tears wouldn’t stop falling! So yes, you will definitely need a box of tissues handy! I loved Kieran! He was so sweet. He was perfect for Dahlia and Roanna. He was everything they needed and more. DC Renee has once again delivered another great story that will never be forgotten!

This great book is literally, “save my heart” and more. It’s about life with moments when heartache rules; it’s about happiness that is overpowering when reality is around the corner; and, it’s about sacrifices more powerful than we can imagine. When you read this book, you will find joy on most pages and when you reach The End, you will have gone through the stash of Kleenex. I loved the characters and the heart they brought to the book. It’s Valentine’s Day today and this special story-line was the perfect remembrance that life is fleeting so grab hold and enjoy the ride.

OMG. What just happened? I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much in one sitting. I’m so wrecked and emotional right now. But I freaking loved it!!!! I’m at a loss of words to how amazing this book was. Do yourself a favor and read it but make sure to have those tissues ready! Definitely a must read!

My first book by D.C. Renee. Are you looking for an emotional read that will rip your ❤ out? If not go on please this book is not for you. Not a cheesy superficial light hearted romance. Great read as painful as the ending was it was absolutely worth it. A worthwhile book looking forward to reading more books by this author.

DC has ripped my heart to pieces with Save My Heart. Beautiful, heartwarming, inspirational; it's endless what this book did to me. CRY. I did cry. I don't ever cry in books. It's rare when I do.

Wow, how can you not fall in love with the characters. They hold your heart the moment you meet them. I will be honest I cried, okay, okay, I ugly cried. I even admit that I cried since the epilogue. I recommend this book, but it is not suitable for a young audience.

First time reading any books by DC Renee , it was so a wonderful Book , I did cry a lot reading it , do not expect what happened in the book to occur .Loved all the characters in the book and can’t wait to read some more of your Books, Well done it definitely deserved 5 Stars
