எளிமையான எழுத்துநடை, லீ குவான் யூ பற்றி ஏராளமான தகவல்களை உள்ளடக்கி இருப்பினும் இடையிடையே இவையெல்லாம் இந்நூலுக்குத் தேவையா? சற்று சுருக்கமாக எழுதியிருப்பின் நன்றாக இருந்திருக்கும் என்ற எண்ணங்கள் ஏற்படுவதை தவிர்க்க முடியவில்லை.
லீ குவான் யூ, ஒரு மகத்தான தலைவர் என்பதில் ஐயமில்லை எனினும் இந் நூல் அவரது ஆட்சியினதும் அவர் கொண்டுவந்த கண்டிப்பான சட்டதிட்டங்களினதும், குறிப்பாக தொழிலாளர் உரிமைகள் மற்றும் பத்திரிகை சுதந்திரம் தொடர்பான சட்டங்களின் சாதக பாதகங்களை சீர்தூக்கிப்பாராது லீ குவான் யூ அவர்களின் புகழ்மாலையாக மட்டும் அமைந்தமை ஏமாற்றமே.

I was searching for a good biography of Lee Kuan Yew and the main reason is the recent visit to Singapore. It was such an awesomely built nation and built by one man, Lee. This book covers his life, how Singapore as a nation was born and the state of it before independence. I like this book very much as it also explores Lee s personality, vision and struggles he faced.

If you want to know about Singapore & Lee Kuan Yew then this is the book for you.
