Shifter Sypher Delacroix is the leader of a pack of winged shifters who tend to be unusual and most others think they are merely a myth. With a small number of members, he decides to increase the happiness of members and stop hem leaving by asking for help from an acquaintance Gerri Wilder who runs the Paranormal Dating Agency. Daegan McKenzie’s life centres around his grandmother and finding the killer of a close friend of his. His grandmother asks him to escort her friend Gerri Wilder to visit friends he feels he has to agree. However on the journey there it becomes apparent that the perceptive lady knows more about him than he does himself. Two lives are about to entwine in ways neither of them expected as they learn that sometimes the ashes of your past can be the foundation of your future.
This was a great addition to the PDA series and was also a good start to a mystery that connected the two men in a way that was not obvious at first. I loved the connections between the various people in this story and the way that even a human could know that someone was their mate. Well written and easy to read and understand. I definitely felt the thoughts and emotions of the characters and it was great to go on the emotional rollercoaster with them as they met and developed their relationship while investigating the members who had left the pack. Sypher was a great alpha who really understood how to be a real leader. Contains explicit M:M sexual content.

Another great addition to the PDA series.
Absolutely wonderful I love this book. What happens when you ask Gerri Wilder to find mates for your pack why she brings your mate right to you of course. The Alpha of the Phoenix pack just wanted to find mates for his pack. So imagine he happy surprise when Gerri shows up with his mate in tow. Now all they have to do is find the person or persons responsible for shifters disappearing and since his mate is human to convince him that it's the greatest thing to be a shifter. When more trouble comes to the pack and death all around can these two stand the test of time to find a happily ever after? Well find out now. I absolutely loved this book. I loved the characters they are so great easy to fall in love with. I'm so looking forward to more of these characters.

Awesome book!
Gerri Wilder did an awesome job matching Sypher who is the Aphla of Phoenix pack with Daegan who is human and was in the miltary. He did undercover jobs to protect shifters and humans with his best friend Baine. Baine is a pegacorn shifter that went missing without any sign of him and Daegan spend a year searching for him.
Sypher is a Phoenix shifter and Aphla that take in outcast and rare shifters to join his pack. He have contact Gerri to help his pack members find their mates and one of his mate member might be dead but can not prove it. I really enjoyed reading how Sypher and Daegan meet each other and spend hours chatting in the cafe. They are such a cute couple and I am glad Daegan got over his fear abd alliw Sypher ckaim him. I highly recommend this book to someone who love to read paranormal romance books.

Could have been better
Now what I mean is, disliked the story don't get me wrong there wasn't any mpreg which is always a bonus in my opinion however there were a few things that confused me, what happened about the incident with Nala's father, he does something horrific to a friend and it's brushed under the carpet where at one point it says there is no longer a threat. What, why? Murdered person is a friend of the pack but no one is upset instead Deagan and s have sex and there is absolutely no mention of the poor deputy at this point and then it's just a side note. Feel like I missed some of the story. It has promise but needs more thought. Also how did they know they know the gender of the other kidnapper/murderer.

Interesting Shifters
The more and more I read these stories I am beginning to believe Gerri will do anything to put a couple of shifters together, and in this case along comes a human into the mix.
Thru the book we have to try and solve the disappearances of shifters, so we get to have a little drama and action. I would have liked to have more details in the action instead of basically saying it was done, a little fighting.
The book was still a great addition to the PDA storyline and you get a sense of family with the shifters and this shows you that You don't have to be the same to be a family.

I actually loved this story lol.. I love this author so this isn't a surprise to me... This story follows Gerri and she is amazing and I enjoyed seeing them come together.. fated mates is always a fun thing to spin and gerri does an amazing job finding their mates. Plus we met other shifters and rare shifters which was so much fun.. and I cannot wait to see what happens next. amazing :D

Forged in Fire is another amazing concoction from Sheri Lyn’s imagination. Love comes, and is sustained, in many forms and cannot be denied when soul mates meet.

Love the twist within this story. Gerri will make you think of that one family member that has to make every one around them happy. The story was well written with some characters and their issues. How they all come together within the pack when there is problems. Cant wait to see what happens next hopefully with Soren. If you love to read about shifter then this a must read book

I loved this book and did not put it down. I actually went back and re read it once I was done. Loved the mystery and how everything was resolved. As usual Gerri was a hoot.

Was ok
I really don't read male on male books. This one was a pda book so I made an exception. It was ok. It read kinda slow in my opinion, had some action and characters were written well. A good story all together

Wonderful
What a great PDA story I only wish it was longer the story was a fast uncomplicated read that wove a wonderful Love story and actually set us up for more stories then just the next book which I’m going to read now

This was a short read but it really packed in a lot of details. Sypher and Daegan had a unique meeting. I thought it interesting when they had sex Syphers phoenix fire did not freak Daegan into running far far away.

pretty good read. just a few moments with our favorite matchmaker, Geri Wilder.
