Here is why it would be better if the soldiers driving the Sentinel squad remained anonymous.
We would be able to hate them if they remained anonymous. They would just be the guys with the agenda to oppress mutants, who tell callous jokes about wanting to harm them like we saw in most of the stories in Decimation so far.
What happens when you get close and personal with characters like them?
You take our ability to take a stance against them. How can we? After we know they are merely soldiers following orders.
Or even the fact that one of them is mutant.
Or the fact that they are trained by a beloved character (not to me, I fucking hate him) like Warmachine.
These sentinels could now wipe out the rest of Mutants and we wouldn't be able to hate them for it.
We would direct our hate to those pulling their strings, and it, wouldn't be enough.
