In 2012, Pawan from UPASaC-ULIPH took me to the Baba Neem Karoli Kainchi Dham ashram near Nainital at the end of a field visit in Uttarakhand and gifted me a book, I and My Father Are One: The Grand Unification by Raboo Joshi, a devotee who had spent time with Neem Karoli Baba. I didn’t read the book until 2025.
After the visit, when I tried to share my experience of Maharaj-ji with my brother, Jitender, he didn’t show much interest. I simply smiled and shifted the conversation elsewhere.
In mid-2025, Jitender came across a social media post about Maharaj-ji and became curious to know more. I immediately remembered the book and shared it with him. He soon expressed a desire to visit the Kainchi Dham ashram near Nainital. I then read the book myself, making sure to finish it before our visit. It offered moving insights into the author’s personal and spiritual experiences with Maharaj-ji.
After visiting Kainchi Dham, my brother wanted to visit the ashram near Rishikesh mentioned in the book, which was constructed by Sidhhi Ma & Jiwanti Ma, Maharaj ji’s devotees, a few years after Baba had left for his heavenly abode. The visit turned out to be truly memorable.

Lovely devotee book. If Neem Karoli Baba (or Siddhi Ma) has a pull on you - you naturally want to read this. Plenty of stories about miracles and grace.
