Actual rating: 4.5 stars

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange as part of the blog tour for an honest review.

Wow, wow, wow! Sylvie Parizeau never ceases to impress me with her stories but this one blew me away. I loved every single second of this novel and fell in love with both characters over and over again! While the Incandescent series can be read individually as standalone novels, I highly recommend you reading the other two novels first...not because you won't understand something but because this series is so amazing that you shouldn't miss out on the other two gorgeously written novels!

I was excited to check Exposure out because PO has been a bit of a mysterious character to me since the first book in this series, and I couldn't wait to find out more about him. He has intrigued me a lot since the beginning and let me tell you... PO seriously made me fall in love with him repeatedly while I was reading his story. As with the other two novels, Exposure is all about PO's journey into finding love. And even though he never thought it would happen--he falls hard and falls fast for a girl that completely ignores him (or so he thinks that she ignores him). Auréle has an interesting story to tell...I'm not going to spoil anything but I figured it out pretty quickly after reading the first chapter from her perspective. I adored the incorporation of this aspect of her character as it was so different than something I have read previously. Ms. Parizeau did an excellent job at writing her character.

Together Auréle and PO form first, a friendship and later, a relationship in a slightly unconventional way but I loved it so much. It fit both of their personalities very well and I adored that it was how they got to know each other. Both PO and Auréle are perfect for each other and are incredibly relatable. I loved how PO saw Auréle even when she was convinced she was invisible. He made her feel loved, and that love is tangible while reading. They definitely have some steamy moments but they were well-balanced with the rest of the story.

I will say, this book was a bit of a roller-coaster in regards to my emotions. Sometimes I would be flying high on the love they had for each other and then the next minute I would be shocked from a surprise twist that might change everything forever for PO and Auréle. But that just made the book more exciting! Again, the Canadian landscape is seriously the perfect setting for this series and it makes me long to travel there.

I highly recommend reading Exposure if you are a romance fan or a fan of the Incandescent series. I simply adore this entire series, and I am looking forward to the future books and the rest of the GGS squad's stories. Sylvie Parizeau knows how to write a heartwarming story, and the perfect cold weather read. This is a must read, so curl up with a nice steaming mug of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and dive in when this is released! You won't regret it!

Happy reading :)

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
This book three in this magical series, this time it was P.O. As we know if you have read any of the books in series, when one of the guys meet their woman they know immediately in an almost a spiritual experience.
P.O can’t believe the beautiful girl he sees from the tables outside the coffee shop. They began to communicate by their computers and mobile phone.as he goes back to Boston to finish he’s his double degrees at MIT. Very soon Aurele decided to write to Olivier as she did not want Olivier to find out she was deaf.
This is an enjoyable book. As we know it always nice to catch up with guys and their women and family. This is a delightful slice of this magical interlude. It was great to see Olivier get his HEA.

Rated R

Nerdy sweet, with a refreshing realism of falling in love with someone living handicapped.

This book is right up there with the others in this series, as far as romance and the sweet happily-ever-after of falling in love with your soul mate. Oliver is nerdy, for sure, but not completely unacquainted with the ways of the world. Still, he's never found the kind of love he sees two of his GGS crew currently reveling in. Next in line to fall in love, she becomes his obsession from afar.

Aurele is deaf, although she wasn't always. Beyond that, she's been broken inside by those she should be able to trust. Meeting Oliver changes everything, and gives her the happiness she never thought she could have. Even when she tries to convince him she's damaged goods, and save him from the burden of being with her, his love mends her inside and out, and shows her just how unbroken she is.

Their story is by far my favorite so far. They are both far more raw than Zac or Liam, and I loved their personalities. My only complaint, same as with each book so far in the series, is the erotic scenes. The author includes their physical passion as a show of their love, which I understand, but do not enjoy. I end up skipping several chapters in the middle of each book, which gets somewhat annoying. Still, it's the only noteworthy complaint I have.

What I enjoy most about this series so far, is the fact it showcases each different kind of relationship. The guys are all so different, and their soul mates each match them perfectly. The different relationships require unique things to work, and come about in authentic ways that match each couple. I love the effort that goes into that, and the effort put into Oliver and Aurele is heartbreakingly sweet.

I would definitely recommend this series to anyone, and suggest reading from the start. While it's not a must, each story does build on each other, and we see the progression of previous relationships in each new installment. Fantastic series so far - excited to read the rest.

If you haven’t started this series, don’t worry about it! This book is a lot richer if you’ve read the first part of the series, but it still works great as a stand alone (think K.A. Tucker Ten Tiny Breaths, it works, but read the others ’cause they’re great too).

I think my favourite part about this book is the true friendships that holds the guys together. P.O. is one of six super geeks who have lived together for over thirteen years (thanks boarding school!). Incandescently is Liam’s story, Apprehension is Zac’s, this one’s P.O., and the others are to come. Their friendship and banter made me laugh and smile throughout the entire novel and I appreciated all of P.O. one liner t-shirts boasting techy puns. P.O.’s letters with Aurele were also extremely cute, and I loved the easy banter they fell into. I found it interesting that the author actually made P.O. think in coding/techy terms. It was just simply what was happening, but everything was translated in his head to a language his character would understand better, and that added detail surprised me.

That begin said, at times I was a little overwhelmed by some of the complex language. Even my geeky friends wouldn’t use some of these words in sentences. I’m an English major and I wouldn’t use some of those words in a sentence that wasn’t for a term paper. As such, the whole 20 something getting their degree is a tad bit unrealistic to me.

Call me a sucker or a cliche, but I loved the letter idea – the writing was witty and they were well written in that, as a reader you knew what the words really meant, but the MC was clueless. I found this a good way to develop the character and allow the story unfold for itself. I did think that a couple of the aspects of the story were a little cliche (love at first sight, for one). However, I enjoyed the simplicity of the novel, as well as how adorable the characters and the writing was.

As a whole, it was a lovely, light read that really helped to cut through the stress of life. Definitely happy that I took the time to sit down with this one and am super excited to read the rest of the series as it comes out!

For full review - Exposure on The Inked In Book Blog

*Received a copy as a part of a blog tour. The thoughts are entirely my own and in no way biased.*

I absolutely, absolutely loved, loved, loved this story. I’ve been a huge fan of the Incandescent series since it first released. These stories are just so amazing and heartwarming and cozy and happy that you can’t help but love them. I fell in love with all the characters right in the first book for their honest and amazing portrayal and continue to do so now in the third book!

Exposure is the love story between PO, one of the characters from what is lovingly referred to as the GGS squad and Aurele. It’s about how they overcome certain issues and forge a path for themselves.

It is also a great example for a friends to lovers romance because even though PO was besotted with Aurele at first glance, they still became good friends before they became something more and I loved how their relationship progressed through the story. It was cute and unconventional but it worked pretty well for these two kids and I absolutely loved it!

It was so heartwarming to read this book and it just made me sigh all the time. This book will definitely wake the romantic in you because gosh, it is just so swoonworthy at times. PO is definitely one of those boys who knows how to make their girl feel special and I just loved that about him. He’s so honest in his affection and love for Aurele, you can’t help but adore him and root for him and his happy ending. As far as Aurele is concerned, yes she has her shortcomings and she’s afraid of letting go, but her character goes through an amazing arc during the story of the book and I’m just so so so happy that she got her happy ending too.

This book is a definite must read for all the romance fans out there. It will make you laugh and cry and sigh and just make your day. Perfect for curling up with your favourite hot drink and your favourite blanket and reading the day away with these two amazing characters and their beautiful story!

Well this book was amazing. 😊 It rare occurrence, finding a book that is just so... positive. I loved the story, I'm sure it would wake romantic side in anyone. 😊

P. O. is on summer break. He has just one year left in MIT, until double master degree. He is living with his friends and is serious coffee addict. One morning, on search for coffee, he goes to cafe and sees Auréle for the first time. She is just sitting by the tree. He is instantly taken by her.

One day he sees her struggling on computer, so he decides to help her, but she doesn't even acknowledge him.

He doesn't give up. 😊 He finds a way... 😊 It soo sweat. They form friendship and talk mostly through letters. And with time friendship grows. It's not all strait forward though. She has a story to tell too.

I didn't like the writing style at first, in the middle I was starting to like it and towards end I loved it! It's mix of geekness and cuteness. 😊

Author is amazing storyteller, I was hooked from the start. It just such a great and quick read.

Review –

In an Oyster Shell- The story was good with some elements that were out of place and some lack of character development in supporting characters.

The Pearls – I am married to a Software Engineer so reading a love story featuring one was exciting for me. The author represented this character with accuracy. The concept was fun and the challenges that the couple faces made for a compelling story.

The settings where romantic a french part of Canada and Boston. It was romantic. Especially that the love interest lives in a small cabin that is portrayed as picturesque. They meet at a coffee shop and it’s super sweet. The descriptions make you feel like you are right there.

The romance was sweet and well developed. It grew over the story through letter writing mostly it was unique. The other romances that were developed in previous stories were reflected in this one. It was a romance fan’s dream story.

I really kinda loved this story. Usually it takes laughing and a mountain of tears for me to LOVE a story but while I did laugh and didn't cry a whole mountain...something about Exposure made me love it and not want to put it down.

The way that Aurele and P.O. met and eventually get together is pretty unique. The back and forth between the two building up to a very hot union. Anticipation would be a good word to describe the key attraction to this book. I had to wait. And wait. But the wait was truly worth it.

The secondary characters in this series are awesome. P.O.'s friends really add to the story rather than distract from the main characters. And the whole time they are doing this you remember their story or look forward to what comes next for them. While reading I really wanted to be a part of this group!

So far the Incandescent Series has proven to be worth my time. Looking forward to book 4!

Do you believe in the premise of soul mates?  The certainty that you have met "the one"?  That's what this series is all about.  Each as different as the lead characters' personalities, and this one wrapped up in an adorably nerdy bundle.

I found this book to be beautifully crafted.  It is capable of being read on a standalone basis but I think that you will get so much more from the story if you read the previous 2 volumes.

P.O. and Auréle's relationship is very much one conducted anonymously, and it is perhaps a reflection on how we leverage our own social interactions that this did not feel overly strained.

Unashamedly romantic.  Hard to put down.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I love books about soulmates, purely because I think it is something that everyone wants. We all want to meet our soulmate and fall in love instantly and lived happily ever after. It doesn’t always happen like that to everyone in the real world, but I love reading about it in the book world.

This was a gorgeous book that is about soulmates. The series of three books that I read were each as good as the next one and all as different to each other. Sylvie Parizeau is a fantastic writer and I will definitely be reading more of her books in the future.

I was given this book in exchange of an honest review and I give it 5 stars.

If you would like to see all my thoughts on this book, be sure to check out the review on my blog:

www.abooktropolis01.blogspot.co.za

But here is a snippet and overview of what I thought:

Overall, this has to be my favourite book in the Incandescent series. I absolutely adored the other two but this one was a close to home kind of book. It was as if this book was written with me in mind. The writing was beyond superb and the plot was both heart warming and heart stopping. The characters were accessible to me and have found a special place in my heart. I love this book and I am so glad I got to beta read this book. I absolutely adored each and every sentence. I highly recommend this book and series to romance lovers out there. Just a little bit of a warning, there are some sex scenes. So I would not recommend this to younger readers.
