Lynne St. James is an Amazon bestselling author. She’s a member of NINC! and the Florida Star Fiction Writers. From the moment she wrote her first story and read it to the neighborhood kids, she was hooked on writing. Lynne’s dream of being published came true in 2012.

Now Lynne writes mostly romantic suspense with military heroes and the strong women they fight to protect. But she also has series that are contemporary, new adult, and paranormal. All of her books, no matter what the genre, include danger, passion, family, humor, and a happily-ever-after.

Originally from up north, Lynne now makes her home in the mostly sunny state of Florida with her husband, Lulu the Yorkie-poo, and an orange tabby named Pumpkin who thinks he rules them all—and mostly does!

When Lynne’s not writing or daydreaming about her next book, she’s drinking coffee and reading or crocheting.

There were many typos and wrong words (the ones that sound the same, but are not written the same). Someone needs a better proofreader.

I think I needed something quick for entertainment value, because this was not a very compelling plot. I know it is a HEA, but still... This made me want to facepalm way too many times... At least, it got a few laughs out of me (way too corny to get another reaction from me unfortunately).

Guarding Aurora is so sweet!

Lynne St. James never fails to amaze her readers with characters and stories that touch your heart. That is never more evident than in Guarding Aurora. Aurora lost everybody she loved in a terrorist attack while in Paris.
She comes back to her hometown in Montana to rebuild her life and start over. Jasper or Raptor as he was known in the teams was there that day in Paris and helped Rorie but never knew her name. Two years later no longer in the military after an mission that goes bad and unable to get the girl he only met briefly out of his mind fate intervenes. St. James writes characters that are inherently sweet and innocent and looking for their HEA even if they don't know it. Jasper is brought to Montana to be Rorie's bodyguard.

Character development and a very vibrant story line kept me turning the pages of this book and questing what was going to happen next. As always the chemistry between the main characters was off the charts and I love Hank Patterson and his wife Sadie they give such authenticity to the story. I love when strong alpha men meet their match in a strong independent woman. St. James writes her male characters with such heart that you will fall in love with them and want one of your own. I loved Jasper and his deep abiding love for his angel he truly touched my heart. Once again Lynne St James had written a truly sweet love story where good wins over evil and justice prevails.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

A FANTASTIC, MOUTH-WATERING, EXHILARATING ROMANTIC SUSPENSE IN ELLE JAMES' BROTHERHOOD PROTECTORS KINDLE WORLD WRITTEN BY LYNNE ST. JAMES! Guarding Aurora started off with some on the edge of your seat thrill...one that had tears in my eyes because of the severity of the scene. But I have to say, it was a really good way to instantly draw me in. Its usually the first couple of chapters of a book that can make or break a story, and this one I found myself not wanting to give the story up so it definitely MADE this story exciting. We get a good, solid plot, we get sweet, electrifying romance, scorching sex, heart-thumping, adrenaline rushing suspense and all around fabulous characters.

I have read many of Lynne St. James books, and all her military romances are the ones that really have me gushing the most out of her books. And Guarding Aurora is SOOO in the TOP 3 of my favorites written by her! I freaking LOVE LOVE LOVED this story. I loved how it was so thrilling and compelling...from the suspense to the romance it was and is, completely unforgettable.

Guarding Aurora gets A INVIGORATING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Lynne, you SOOOOOO brought your A-game with this one.

Paris is supposed to be a place where love resides, and it is…until terrorists attack leaving Rori distraught and alone. She returns to her childhood home and tries to pick up the pieces. But terror appears to have followed her to her small hometown.

Guarding Aurora by Lynne St. James is sixth in her Beyond Valor series as well as being part of the Brotherhood Protectors Kindle World. I enjoyed meeting Raptor and Rori. Raptor is struggling to accept the new direction his life must take. He has been a part of the teams but his last mission left him medically discharged from the service. Seeing Rori again isn’t what he expected but she has been a part of him since he saw her last, in Paris, even if she wasn’t aware. I loved that Ms. St. James allowed Raptor to find the woman, who even injured left a lasting impression. Enough time had passed that the quickness of their relationship felt real and believable. I loved that Rori trusted in Raptor eve as she fought his bossy ways. Ms. St. James gave us two characters that needed each other. I loved that they were able to heal each other. This story is a well written enjoyable addition to both series.

Lynne St. James never disappoints her readers. This book is no exception.

The book opens with a terrorist attack on a Paris restaurant that kills several people. Jasper 'Raptor' Ramsey on lay-over between missions; goes in and saves a female, Aurora 'Rori' Prince, but never learns her name.

Two years later Raptor has taken a medical discharge and started working for Eagle Security Protection. He has looked for the woman he saved but has almost given up when he is tasked with guarding a female who owns and operates a bakery.

Rori returned home after graduating from Cordon Blue in Paris. She opens a Bakery and business is booming. Everything is looking up, but she still feels guilty for getting her parents and fiance killed in Paris. But little annoying things keep happening; like a 4 tires flat on her delivery van, dead battery, and disturbing phone calls. Then while her best friend Sadie and her daughter stopped in for treats a rock comes flying through the plate glass window. Now she has a bodyguard who will be with her 24/7 until they catch the person responsible.

Raptor saved Rori once two years ago can he do it again?

I thought the previous book was my favorite in the series but I think I have a new favorite. Raptor (Jasper) is a member of Delta Force. While on leave following a mission gone wrong, he's in Paris when terrorists strike. He saves Aurora (Rori) but her parents and fiancee are killed in the attack. After another mission goes awry and an injury, Jasper retires. He goes to work for Eagle Security but isn't adjusting well to post military life. Rori gave up her dream of opening a bakery in Paris but opens one in her hometown. She's been harassed for the last six months but doesn't say anything however the jig is up when her friend is there as the store is vandalized. For two years after the Paris attack he looked for Rori only to find her in Willow Haven when he's assigned as her bodyguard. Jasper can't believe his good fortune. He wants to date her but escalating threats imperil their chance at HEA. The couples from the previous books also make cameos.

This book is an amazing story full of emotion, suspense, and depth. Raptor met the love of his life in a moment of despair. He never thought he'd see her, again, but fate puts them together when he is employed to protect her from the attacks that have been plaguing her since she opened her bakery. Rori is sweet, but fierce, and has suffered so much heartbreak during her life. She doesn't instantly recognize Raptor as the man who saved her life in Paris, but she is attracted to him and can't fully keep him out of her heart.

I instantly feel in love with the characters. They are all well developed and have so much emotion within them. The story is well written and the suspense kept me guessing and surprised me when the villain was revealed! I fully enjoyed this book and devoured it in no time! Highly recommended from me!

Although I read this book before it's release, I am writing this review only days after the shooting massacre in Las Vegas, Nevada. I believe that this author really did a really great job portraying the heroic way in which Jasper acted. Like many veterans and off duty officers and firemen did in Vegas, Jasper put his own life on the line to save others. Lives change on days like this one and not just those that are injured or pass. Survivors and responders change as well, sometimes for the good, and sometimes not.

Luckily for us, fate brought Jasper and Aurora together. Once again he must help keep her safe, but this time he will keep her, and her yummy treats too! Aurora might have thought she lost everything she loved that fateful day, but with time she found she still had her dreams and her passion and room in her heart.

Raptor and Rory 💖💖

Just found a great new to me author!!!
Thrilled with Guarding Aurora. A fast paced exciting read that had me from the start in Paris 2 years ago.
Now in Montana, Raptor was tasked with protecting a woman named Rory as she'd been receiving threats. This is where it gets really good. So much suspense and drama happening, but sprinkled with bits of humor to let me laugh or take a breath was perfect in my mind.
This was very well written. Rory and Raptor being pretty honest and open with each other was so refreshing. Each had me chuckling with their own brand of wit even during times of angst. Just loved them both.

There is nothing in this story I didn't love. The characters, Rori's independence and feistiness and Jasper's soft center and hard shell are a great combination, add in a bakery and I'm in heaven.
The hotness was in perfect balance with both the story and the characters.
The plot was believable and runs smoothly.
I have been gifted this book and if I could I would purchase it to enjoy over again.
Lynne St James once again has shown that she spins a wonderful love story with the characters at its core and romance as the glue.

Here is why I didn't give it 5 stars

Loved the stories and the characters but I have to speak up after the first 6 books. Whoever edited these books did not do their jobs. For example you put cloths over dough not clothes. Also some paragraphs seemed out of order and were head scratchers at times. Spelling was fine but the use of some words weren't. I hated to be critical but each of the 6 books had this problem. I am starting number 7 all the same cause like I said the stories are great.

Love second chances love stories, especially when it's a second chance for both main characters. Raptor [aka Jasper] and Rori [aka Aurora] are both physically scared from different kind of wars. Two years later, circumstances conspire to bring them together again, but it's not as easy as the beautiful confections Rori creates in her bakery. Yet, despite the obstacles thrown in their way, love wins...the hallmark of a Lynne St. James romance story. Loved this one.

Raptor and Rori meet under unusual circumstances in Paris. She goes back home to Montana and opens a bakery and Rori is called in to help protect her, but doesn't know it's her till he sees her face. He has thought about her for 2 years after the terrorist attack in Paris and now someone is after her again.

Enjoyed

This was a heartwarming romance with an interesting mystery. The first time Jason meets Tori gets the pages turning. There is a great set of characters keep the story interesting and entertaining. The twists, turns and surprises keeps Jason on his toes and Rori keeps his heart beating faster. After a fire bombing and kidnapping attempt they find a happy ending.

After losing both her parents and her boyfriend Rory decides to go back from Paris to Willow Haven and starts a bakery from scratch. But things keep on happening she can.’t explain . Jasper was the one who was there for her in Paris but he also had to go to a new assignment. So he left her after taking care of her. When he gets his new assignment he finally finds her again.
Loved it.

Baker and Bodyguard

Who knew a baker would need a bodyguard? Does fate really allow chance meeting and instant soul mates? Can strangers who meet in a foreign country find each other, especially in the chaos of that first meeting? Will you fall in love with these characters? Will you want to yell, cheer, scream, and cry all in the story?

This is a well written quick read. I really enjoyed both the characters and the storyline. This has been an enjoyable binge read of a series of seven books that crossed over two Kindle Worlds, I look forward to more about these characters.

I liked the way this was handled. Though I figured out who could be behind the attacks pretty quickly.
I'll be looking into more from this author.
