She's like no one I've ever been with. She's passionate, sexy, and so beautiful she takes my breath away. And she's lying to me.
As Atlanta's hottest billionaire bachelor, I'm used to being the one in control. So why does Crisstina make me feel like I'm in free fall? Everything I expect, she does the opposite.
And the further I fall, the more desperately I want her. I'm going to make her my wife. But not before I find out the truth about who she is.
Baby Doll is a steamy BWWM love story between a sassy, professional woman who's never been with a real man before, and a hot, billionaire. Guaranteed HEA that will leave you satisfied and wanting more.
It's an ok read. I liked that Crisstina had drive but she is young and easily gets caught up in the viciousness of her career. Spencer is an odd character to me, he is rich & compassionate but what concerned me was that he still loved his cheating ex, that just rubbed me the wrong way, considering the fact that she is on the prowl, and made me unconvinced about his love for Crisstina. What did bother me about Crisstina though was that she held on to her secret too long which is such a typical scenario with this genre but she still didn't seem to learn from that.
I felt like this could have been such a good book. I was highly disappointed with the lack of descriptions and the sudden “add in” of sentences that either weren’t needed or could have added many more words if the writer would have payed more attention to detail. None of those errors even came close to the number of spelling errors and the wrong use of some words........ I really tried to like it.
An Interesting story about a journalist who goes undercover to get a story on a billionaire. She worked as waitress where he frequent. She was not aware who he was because he introduced himself by His middle name. They started dating and when they made love he gave her his first name . She did not tell him that she was to get a story on him and he found out thru his ex lover
This was such an awesome story with so many funny parts! In so many ways, I did not want the story to end, but then again, Cherie have the story just enough of everything to make this a romance novel worth reading every word!!! This sorry emphasizes that you never know when and where live is going to find you💖💖💖
I think this was good read because the book was well written and the story was well thought out and I enjoyed the happy ending. I would recommend this book.
Criss was a gossip reporter for one of Atlanta's hottest newspapers. She received an assignment to write an article on Atl's most eligible bachelor. In order to do this she had to go undercover as a waitress in his favorite restaurant. It was said he frequented the restaurant almost daily.
It turned out her bosses were shady af. They sent her in there with ulterior motives. One boss was his Aunt who hated him and wanted to see him ruined. The other was his ex who was trying to see if she had any serious competition because she wanted him back.
Asher was a very wealthy fashion designer and with money comes spoils. He was, however, a nice man who was sick of being taken advantage of by women. He wanted to settle down and possibly start a family, but it had to be to the right woman. When he saw Criss working in his restaurant he knew it was her.
He did a lot of creepy things that turned out to have a good explanation. I would have been spooked by his actions, but Criss was working on a story. She becomes infatuated with him and the staff is very secretive, not telling her who this stranger is. When she finally finds out he is the person she is supposed to be writing about, it is too late. She already likes him and wants more.
Drama ensues and the ex does the predictable - betray everyone trying to get her man back. I was happy that he resisted her charms. There is a HEA, but I wasn't sure how believable it was. Ash should have been more upset with Criss about her betrayal in my opinion. Oh well.
I never did figure out why the book is called Baby Doll or why the cover has an AA woman. In one part of the book she is described as blushing with her cheeks reds and there was no mention of her being of a different race. The book did not read as if she was AA.
