The book is excellently written and to the point. I read it very well.

This is a retelling of one of the Sherlock Holmes classics. It's clearly meant for readers with least expertise but they author has done a very good job of bringing the narrative around nicely.
It covers all of the key points of the storyline and should be very easy for someone to follow is there coming up the curve in the language but would still like to enjoy a classic.
The illustrations don't actually add a lot for me but may be useful for some readers to get visual clues on the story.
Overall, the book serves its purpose well and an easy 4 star.

The sign of four, especially this revision I'd like to say is you know..Quite forgettable, actually, but what I ACTUALLY remember fully is it's really tense atmosphere building. I mean, it's a really good book but quite forgettable that makes it lose it's quality. But either way, it is quite decent, you know, like it was really interesting.I used to love it when I first read it. But I just think that it was to be a bit biased to like the book.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson are approached by a young lady about the disappearance, ten years previously, of her father.

The story is reasonable but the writing style felt too sparse in this very short book (only 51 pages of actual story).

A quick hit of the well-known detective, but not one of the best developed (in terms of writing style) of the stories.
