What a charming family dynamic!
h's fiancé cheated on her with her younger sister, and h's parents arranged an engagement party for these two - for their daughter, who betrayed her sister and a scumbag, who cheated on their other daughter.
Such an amazing family! 🤓➡☠
This sub story fascinated me so much, that I even didn't ask myself what the heck happened to the actual MCs.
They met in Vegas, had sex, married, had sex, stayed married, had sex, went to the engagement party, let h's ex insult her, punched him, had sex, found out the H's marriage brought him 300 mill inheritance, fought, she left, they made out, had sex, arranged a wedding, invited her sister (unfortunately the scumbag of h's ex left her too), had sex, had sex, had sex.
Amazing!
Still thrilled about their family dynamic!

3.5 Quickie Stars!
I liked it, but it wasn’t the usual Penny Wylder I’m used too, a drunken night in Vegas with hot sex, and Sandy wakes up next to Will, her one night stand and a whole new life, the insta love didn’t work for me, the characters didn’t support the plot and the ending seemed rushed to conclusion. Still not bad for a freebie!

This was a nice short read. There were some bits that annoyed me (like the fact that she wasn't even that drunk but completely forgot her own marriage) and there were lots of storylines that could have been fleshed out more but, as the name suggests, this book is pretty short. I think it would have worked out better if this was a full novel. The chemistry and the sex scenes between Sandy and Wilcox redeemed this one for me.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that if my little sister ran off with my fiance, there would be some feathers flying. I definitely thought the whole scenario was odd. Or perhaps I should say the reaction to the scenario was off.

I absolutely loved this one! Even though I would've loved it if Sandy remembered the special night wit Wilcox. How do you find these names? That was a fun joke too.
"Leave them on. I love high heels, and I want to feel these digging into my back by the time we're finished."
It was fun to see that Wil had Sandys back against Wyatt. It's necessary as a couple to have each others backs. They were very lovable!

Quickie by Penny Wylder was a standalone and the first book I’ve read by the author. It was quick and entertaining.
Sandy and her besties were in Vegas for an impromptu girls trip. The focus of the trip was to get Sandy cleansed from her cheating ex fiancé who ran off with her sister.
Will Herrington spotted Sandy the moment she walked in the door. He had a need to let off steam and she was the perfect person to take his mind off his troubles.
Fast forward to the next morning and Sandy woke up with a hangover and a beautiful diamond ring, which she doesn’t remember getting. Wylder then built the storyline demonstrating their gravity like connection and justifying the reasons why they should give the relationship a fighting chance.
Quickie was written with a single POV, Sandy’s. There were both challenges and secrets, mixed in with the sexy and fun scenes. Wylder also included some great supporting characters that would make great heroines for future books. Although it wasn’t a storyline with depth and dimension, it was an enjoyable and entertaining quick read and I plan to explore more books from Wylder.

La historia está genial, perfecta para pasar el rato pero: YO NO PERDONARÍA A LAURA NI EN TRES MILLONES DE AÑOS. Que tu propia hermana te hable así después de que se largue con tu prometido... le meto un bofeton que le pongo la cara del revés. Venga, y encima coge y viene luego a pedir perdón de víctima. Pues no! Primero le llamas de todo y ahora vienes de pedazo de pan. Anda y que te den. Y a Wyatt igual. Los dos tal para cual, de estupidos.

This book tested my patience. I wish I was able to squeeze Wyatt and Laura's throats, kill and bury the mother's body in a hidden cave and strangle Sandy's doomat personality. As for Will, I don't really know what to say.
But you know what? I surprisingly enjoyed the book and adored the epilogue.
So 4 Wilcox & Sandy stars it is :)

Quickie es una lectura rapida, ligera y simple para pasar el rato, obviamente al leer la sinopsis no esperaba encontrar una historia elaborada o con un gran desarrollo, aun asi tengo que admitir que esta clase de novela empieza a hartarme, es siempre lo mismo.
Si decides leerlo no esperes nada inolvidable o impresionante, solo una lectura simple.

A quickie in more ways than one!
This is definitely a quickie in more ways than one. I really enjoyed this story. It's hot, sweet, smutty, and entertaining. Yes the situations are a bit over the top, but they work and Wylder ends up giving us a great read!

If I could I would give it more than 5 stars!! Penny totally out did herself with this story!! OMG!! It has everything I love and more. Sandy, finds herself no longer engaged and her friends decide a weekend in Vegas is just what she needs. This isn't one of those stories of what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, NO, this story is sooooo much better! Will spots Sandy and her friends and there is instant chemistry but Sandy just got out of a relationship and she is not one to have a one night fling. There are a few surprises and twist and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat and your heart full!! I absolutely loved this book!!

A solid 4 star read with a twist that made me feel absolutely gutted for a moment or two!... Ooh, it was so close to a 4.5 until that (probably inevitable!) letter was found!
Other than 'that' letter, I completely loved Will!
My God, every woman in her situation needs a Will!
I was mentally fist pumping and applauding him for the scene at the engagement party...my kind of Hero!
Overall, a great story, that was written well, gave me some book butterflies, with some beautiful, HOT, dirty talking sex :) ...I'll be reading more by this author.

I made a cuppa, got a snack & disappeared into this "just enjoy it for what it is" read.
Kinda sweet, kinda fairytale-like, Sandy & Wilcox are insta-lust & sizzling chemistry at its finest.
I really liked both characters, including Sandy's gal pals, and while the premise may be a little bit of a stretch (if you want to look too closely at it), it was an enjoyable read.
A couple of small twists & one particular "take that" scene which was just awesome, I put it down after the last page having completely enjoyed my bookish break.

3.5 stars - The sack on Wyatt is huge given the audacity to pull what he did. And he gets away with it without bodily harm. That really blows.
Alas, while he plays a role in several things that happen, this isn't Wyatt's story. Instead, it's about how Sandy Nelson moves forward... with Mr. Delicious. Yum! 😋🔥
I mostly like it, but I wasn't sold on the speed of her forgiveness when she learned some details Wilcox "Will" Andrew Herrington failed to disclose. The sexy times are scorching, very much so, but a LOT more groveling and convincing was needed.
I do think the HEA is fitting. 💜🔥

What a fun quick read! Have you ever just set around and wondered about a fantasy life with a rich man coming to the rescue? Well I have and this book just puts that into words! If your looking for a break from reality this book is for you. Some parts were alittle hard to believe but I guess that's what happens when it's just wishful thinking!

What to say? Loved, loved, loved Wilcox - couldn't even get mad at him for the reveal...
Quickie is about Sandy who is out on the town on her last night in Vegas with her girlfriends after having been left (literally) by her fiancé right before their wedding so he could run off to Mexico with her little sister. Her friends all have one thing left on the bucket list for Sandy to do before they leave - have a one night stand. That item comes in the form of Wilcox - tall, dark and utterly handsome - who has been staring at her the whole night. After a mutually explosive night together, Sandy wakes up in the morning only to find a ring on her finger and no memory of their wedding. What ensues is: how they navigate the waters of a one night stand turned into a marriage recognized legally to the family drama back home with her backstabbing sister and the good for nothing ex fiancé and a little something that 'Will' left out and hadn't had a chance to come clean about.
Loved his character and loved hers too for being a pretty peace loving, bitter free woman. The one thing that makes me detract a star is that went a little too far as there were a few moments where she almost turned into a doormat, not quite, but annoying enough that it jolted me out of the story a little. Overall though a wonderfully sweet fairytale with two people who fit perfectly together and set the house on fire!!! (literally)

This novella is exceptionally well written, the storyline flows extremely well and It gives you a little warm feeling whilst reading it.
Basically it is everything you come to expect from a Penny Wylder book.
She is definitely an author I get excited about when I hear a new release is coming out and I rave about to my friends.
Quickie is a great 4.5 star read that you really need to have in your kindle collection.
This story is so good and gives everyone hope that their soul mate is out there waiting for them whether it's online or a chance encounter in a Vegas club.
It also proves that what happens in Vegas may follow you to the east coast and become more than a Quickie.
I promise you that you will fall in love with this story and in Sandy and Wilcox as they have that true connection and fantastic chemistry that's hard to ignore.
This Quickie will sweep you off of your feet and get you totally in the mood for your Mr Delicious.

This story had me wanting to slap Sandy's whole family even if near the end they were all good.. what family would throw a party for her cheating ex and her sister?!?! like what sister would do that and be all happy about cheating?!??? And what pissed me off Sandy forgives her later on.. girll really??
Beside that drama i so enjoyed our couple Wilcox and sandy were a great couple but i did wish we saw more and wish we had Wilcox pov.. :/ beside the drama with the ex-fiance we also had some tiny drama between the couple that was resolved pretty quickly..
