Garrett Wilder is rich, famous, and totally bad for me. After one night that ended with me wanting to punch him in his face, the self-absorbed rockstar has become a permanent fixture in my life...
Whether I like it or not.

Now I’m forced to see him every day, and that shield I put up to protect my heart is quickly crumbling to the ground. I’ve gone from hating him to craving him. And the scariest part is that he feels the same.

He wants to know me.
He wants to own me.
He wants to corrupt me.

And if I’m not careful...
I just might let him.

**AUTHOR NOTE** This book is the first in the Civil Corruption series, but can be read as a standalone. All Civil Corruption books will have their own happily ever afters.

Unprotected first sex leads to unplanned pregnancy... (I wonder if these people never get sex education anywhere??!!)

He f*cks his way around the groupies while she takes care of the child alone until he decides to "play daddy"...

REVIEW: 4 STARS
"You think you don't fit in my world, but what you don't get is that you are my world."

I have been recommended Jessica Prince's books for quite some time now, so I finally jumped in and I am so happy I did. In all honesty, this is the kind of book I would recommend in between heavy emotional reads. Just the kind that I could sink into because it was well written while being a quick and easy read. I didn't have to think too hard while reading it because Jessica spelled it out for us and laid the groundwork pretty well. This book definitely put this series on my watch list because after reading Garrett's story, I need the rest of the band members stories too!!

My absolute favorite part was Garrett and Gwen's first meeting. I smiled immediately once I read that part and it really set the tone for the book for me. It was nice and didn't feel forced in the slightest, and I totally cheesy-grinned how it all began. Super cheesy grin. However, I must say that the actual reason behind them living together felt a little forced for me, but I figured with that kind of money and fame at your disposal, you kinda get used to setting things up and making sure they go your way. So I went with it....why not? It allowed for the setup of their story, but also allowed for the reality of their feelings to grow and showcase the fear behind letting their walls down. It was a volatile and exasperating love at times, all because of insecurities and need, but continually muddled because of fear and past actions.

--> Garrett was delicious. He wasn't overtly swoony, and he had some definite faults, but I think that made him all the more relatable. There was a depth to him that we weren't privy to by just looking in from the outside. Once you got to know him, by being on the inside, seeing his actions, he was a very emotionally charged man with many layers. He was, to me, a typical super sexy guy with ego related actions as well as some questionable actions to boot. I mean, c'mon. He was a drummer in a popular band, so he had everything thrown at him, and after living that lifestyle, he got used to the perks and the ability to just toss things away...including people, unfortunately. But, the redeeming side of him made me sigh. He worked SO hard, putting his heart on the line, to make Gwen understand that she was the one for him. He realized the err of his ways, and clearly didn't want to let her go without a fight. I will say this; for as spoiled as his life was, he was quite grounded and usually made rational decisions in the relationship field. I was actually shocked at how level-headed his decisions were. You could tell he really wanted their relationship to work. I really liked Garrett.

--> Gwen was a strong woman. At times I felt she was extremely stubborn.....hahaha!! Who am I kidding?! She was stubborn the ENTIRE. TIME. But honestly, that is what I liked about her. Yes, I may have wanted to shake her a few times, but I could completely understand why she was so hesitant with everything going on. One admirable thing I loved seeing was that she fostered a relationship between Garrett and Liddy. I loved seeing that. Gwen had some normal single parent insecurities, she was even wishy-washy at times, but I could empathize with her. She naturally fought her feelings with a very sturdy wall that Garrett was trying to get past. It was fun to see the reality behind the wide range of emotions. I loved the fact that they were in their own little bubble trying to repair their tattered relationship they had. It was a neat thing to read, and Jessica spelled it out for us while allowing us to hurt, to laugh, and to fall in love right along with them.

This was a great book and was the perfect start to a new series -- so much so that I will be following Jessica around like a lost puppy so that I can get the rest of the stories. I feel completely invested in this band now and can't wait for more!! It wasn't overly emotional, it certainly wasn't angsty at all, and the drama was actually understandable but wasn't carried on forrreeeeverrrr -- thank gosh. This one was a growing and learning experience and I loved experiencing it with them. Thank you to Amy at Garden of REden for the recommendation. I'm excited for more!

"I can't keep trying to hold on to something that doesn't want to be held. It's up to you to decide if I should finally let go."

Reread 4/24 after a few years of reading a lot of books with doormat heroines, I have to say that I really appreciate the fmc. The ons aftermath and the way the h told off the lawyer manager and PA is awesome. This is one of my favorite book scenes and I will reread this book again just for that! You go girl! I have to say I wasn’t as annoyed this go round. Probably since I’ve been reading so much MCC romance, it’s hard to be more of an a hole than most of those dudes… rockstars seem warmAnd fuzzy now🤣🤣🤣

3.75 stars… Because even though the H redeemed himself there’s a glaring plot hole. The history part of the book Is in the first 3 chapters. Typical Rockstar ONS with h who is NOT a groupie— she doesn’t even like the band nor realize that Garret is the drummer for the band. They talk for hours and have sex all night. The next morning he sends his PA to get rid of her. Fmc finds out she is pregnant tries to Let H know—Is dealt with by his lawyer, PA and Manager. She’s insulted to the hilt but she rips them all a new one. As she’s leaving she sees H at elevator and punches him in the nose. Fast forward 3 years. The manwhore H returns from touring. Over these 3 years it’s later mentioned that he’s seen his 3yo daughter maybe 6 times and talked to her via phone for a few minutes here and there. He’s barely spoken with the fmc or seen her… BUT SUDDENLY he wants to be a family and is in love with h. There’s never any explanation although he does apologize for being a manwhore. There is literally Not a sliver of relationship development. I kept expecting some explanation for Garrets sudden devotion and 180 but NOTHING. That gaping black hole left the book lacking and it was really hard to buy into the love story. I did keep Turning the pages hoping for more from Garret regarding why he suddenly decided to
Love His daughter and the h but you never find out. Instead the fmc is blamed for not trusting the H and Get this she’s the one who grovels. This book basically leaves the reader wanting… it was good in a way but bad in so many others…

My pet peeve: the heroine groveling when it should have been the hero because he was the a*hole, the one who f*cked up. This should be a crime.

History with all of the old and familiar elements that draw reader attention from beginning to end. I like the author and was eager to read this book.
Hero is a rock star living a lifestyle characteristic of rockers filled with parties, drinks and many women and ONS.
Hero and heroine has an ONS and the heroine thinks she's special but she's kicked to the curb as if she were trash from yesterday the next morning.
She finds herself pregnant and the hero treats her very badly leaving everything in the hands of his lawyers and his manager. She is treated like a gold digger whore.
Years later he decides he wants to get more involved in his daughter's life and the chaos begins.
His manager, PA bitch, fans and press cause problems between them. Plus the insecurities of our heroine.
I enjoyed the story and recommend it.

RATING: 3/5 STARS

I was provided an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Since I read Jessica Prince's novel, Seducing Lola, I was beyond excited to read her latest novel Corrupt. Corrupt follows the troupe of rock star romance featuring an unexpected pregnancy between two people who have a hate-love relationship.

I'll begin this review with what I liked about the book. Between Gwen and Garret, there was amazing heat between them. Come on! Who wouldn't swoon for a tall and muscular man like Garret and a petite curvy thing like Gwen? They were created to be totally in love with each other and we can see that from the moment they meet in the book.

A little bit more about heroine, Gwen, is that she's no nonsense. She will set you straight as soon as you cross the line and she will also stay strong under the tiring fights and on going mess that always seems to get thrown her way. Gwen works hard, not letting adversity get the better of her which is something very admirable.

Finally, of course, the love making scenes were written beautifully. Jessica Prince always no trouble in writing a scene that really makes us hot and bothered.

While there are many things I did enjoy about this book, there are also a lot of problems with it. First of all, Gwen and Garret met, had sex, and a baby came along the way. Needless to say, there was nothing but lust and not love when they first started their relationship. Jessica Prince seems to acknowledge this by making the whole story circling around them slowly falling for each other. However, because of lust, Garret and Gwen didn't car for one another at all. For three years.

Yup. For three years, they both hardly interacted with each other and for some reason, this just really annoyed me. Because Gwen and Garret are sounding more and more like estranged lovers who doesn't seem like they were meant to be with each other after all. I know I'm being rather picky but I don't want to be put off by the fact that the crushing reality of no happily ever after is possible in a story.

While the plot had me flustered, the writing added on top of it. Don't get me wrong. I love Jessica's style because it's relaxed and easy to slip into but I realized from Seducing Lola and now Corrupt that she has a really hard time at writing realistic evil characters and their conversations. It sounds over the top and dramatic most of the times. Less is more and you don't have to be saying the most outlandish things to be bad. It must be because Jessica is a total sweetheart in real life or something but definitely, the "burns" just rubbed me the wrong way.

I guess the biggest issue in this book was also the biggest turn off ever. I didn't like the main hero. That's right. I didn't like Garret. Sure, some of the times he tries really hard to win Gwen back and he's sweet and protecting towards her but the mess in between from his character development and their relationship building? I'm still rolling my eyes and gagging over it. Garret was a womanizer and cheated multiple times during the course of their "friendship." When I read reviews, I never understood why someone would be mad that so and so "cheated" during the time that their relationship was developing because technically, it's not like they're actually together. Yet.

However, Garret was burning too close to the flame for this one.

MY RECOMMENDATION

If you're a first time reader of Jessica Prince's books, definitely read Seducing Lola first.

This is a standalone in the Civil corruption series, a series about a rock band (named ..you guessed, Civil corruption ) and how they had their HEA.
The drummer, Garrett, has a one night stand with a girl and the next day, he sends his assistant to get rid of her. Nine months later, surprise, surprise , a baby girl comes in the picture. Fast forward three years later, the d%&che realise that he wants his daughter in his life, and he also wants his baby' s mama. A little of OW drama, some mistakea here and there and that's it. It was okish

4.5 Stars!!!

After reading Corrupt for the second time, I think I'm ready to write my review. So here it goes.

I'm always game for a good rock star story and was a little enamored with this one. Reading an author you've never read before and abso-fucking-lutely falling in love with her book, is always exciting.

I wasn't sure I was going to like Garrett at first because lemme tell you, he was an egotistical dick but then... BAM! He went from Douchy Von Dickhead to book boyfriend material. I can't say when or where just that it didn't take long for me to melt into a puddle and gush my heart out for him.

"I know your type because it's me, baby. Only me. No one else can make you feel like I do."

Then we have Gwen. Her life has been on a downward spiral for the past few years, and the one night she decided to open up and gave herself a chance to live, she was left down. But she never gave up, she took shitty situations and owned them. And I LOVED her for that.

But not everything was hearts and unicorns with these two. At times, I wanted to kill them both. I adored them, but they weren't perfect. Selfishness and Stubbornness were their middle names, and it was a fucking nightmare. I get it. Being left behind like you were nothing hurts. Doing the leaving hurts. So their struggle to leave the past behind, you guess right... fucking hurts.

Gwen & Garret may be the main characters in Corrupt, but the side characters, which I seriously loved, created a chemistry that makes reading this book addicting. So to know there will be more of them left me with a huge smile on my face.

Once I started reading this book, I couldn't stop myself from clicking those page until I finished it. I devoured it. I'm a sucker for second-chance romances, and Jessica Prince had me eating out of her hand.

This book had me full on laughing, swooning and wanting to slap a few people in equal measure. Prince knew how to keep me on the edge of my seat. It took me a little time to find Jessica Prince, but now that I have, I'm not letting her go.

"You're permanent."

Corrupt is a sexy little sucker second chance romance, filled with sweet and funny moments that melted my heart and panties, as well as just enough angst to keep me on my toes.

Well that was entertaining fluff with a dash of angst.
Plot holes galore.
I enjoyed the side romance between Corinne and the bodyguard much more than the MCs'.

A rock band called 'Civil Corruption' is hugely famous. 4 guys who stick their d*cks in pretty much anything. (although Garrett says it wasn't as bad as it seemed... if it walks like a duck, etc.)
One night, when Gwen is at a low point in her life, she lets him stick it in her.
And yes, the whole immediate aftermath of that ONS was pretty despicable.
But for some reason, it didn't bug me too much later, as it was almost like he was a completely different character and drank the cool-aid or whatever, of Gwen's happy family vibe.
She doesn't believe him and makes him work for it. And that was the main saving grace of the story. Plus you kinda forgive the guy cause he changes into a big teddy bear and obviously isn't that bright.

I actually believed their HEA (well as much as I believed some of the ridiculous overly contrived plot)

OH YES YES YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 hours 30 minutes that is how long it took me to completely devour this book.

Once I started I couldn't stop reading it. I got sucked right into this story instantly and fell completely in love.

It stars off with a hot as fuck encounter between the two main characters and from there all hell breaks loose. I will say that at first I wanted to punch, maim, dismember the hero in this book Garrett.
He behaviour just completely worked me up and I was ready to stage an all out revolt.

As the story continues I found myself so wrapped up in this intense enemies to loves story. I didn't know at times which direction I wanted it to go, ok well of course I wanted an HEA but man oh man at times I was ready to say FUCK THAT because well DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA.

Throw in some "Villains" that also end up on my hit list and I was ready to toss my kindle at the wall out of frustration at certain points. When you are ready to start throwing physical things you know you have a good book on your hands.

So many ups and downs and I clung to everyone of them, my emotions completely wrapped up in this story.

The best part of this is that this is book 1 in a series that I can tell without a shadow of a doubt I am going to love. I will one click the rest of these books no hesitation because the characters in this book and not just the two main characters grabbed my attention and I am not about to let go anytime soon.

Jessica Prince continues to be a go to author for me for this very reason.

***4 ‘Hello Crazy Train’ Stars***

I'm kinda tired now and my eyes hurt from all the times they either bugged out of their sockets or were rolling because Garrett & Gwen took me on one hell of an angsty roller coaster ride. Because lemme tell you, the sweet and smexy totally went toe to toe with the angsty emotional drama in this baby. I'm not mad at ‘em because I devoured every word of their journey and was totally invested in them. But they definitely went big.

Here's the thing with Garrett and Gwen. I loved both of them and yet they both drove me batshit crazy. Garrett is, at his very core, a good man, unfortunately his rock god status and the perks that go with it tend to be his main priority in life. But once you take that away you find his picture may be found under Neanderthal in the dictionary as an example, because the man is alpha AF, but who also has a huge heart once he lets it out to play. When we meet Gwen her life was on something of a downward spiral, but with the help of a friend she was fighting it with all she had. I loved her sass and how she didn’t allow people to walk all over her, but the walls she constructed around her also tended to make her blind to anything other than the crazy running around in her head.

If you’re a fan of angst then you are going to love this one because holy clusterfuck. What Garrett and Gwen put each other through was insane. Most of the time I tend to side with one character over another, but in this case I can honestly say it was a 50/50 split over whose team I was on and there were times where I wasn’t having it from either one of them. And the crazy thing is, I was okay with it all because their crazy was crack. So much crap has happened between them and yet they barely know each other, so what kept me turning the pages was to see when they both finally had a lightbulb moment and realized the amazing that was right in front of them, also the smexy was SMEXY. Do they finally get there, yes, but it took the whole damn village to do it. Am I happy with the outcome? Yes. Very.

Corrupt definitely did me in. I enjoyed every word, but it definitely took something out of me. As a first in a new series, I loved the setup and never felt like any information dumping was going on. The characters are well written, Corrie and Ian are my favs of the secondary characters, but I’m definitely looking forward to getting to know the rest of the band, especially after those little teases dropped throughout the book. So, if you like a little angsty crazyness in your romances this one is definitely a must read for you!

Holy shit! This freaking book! Why is it every freaking book I have read by Jessica Prince this year just keeps climbing my favorites list. I have read two new books in a series, first book in a series and I can't choose which I think was better.

Garrett, he pissed me off in the beginning because he was a bit of an asshole. A sexy, mega big rock star, in the public eye all the time. But when he and the band decide to stop touring for a while, he makes a very important decision in his life that brings him together with a women he met almost four years ago.

Gwen, she was just a women who wanted to protect her heart from the sexy rock god because he once already broke her heart. I can see where some might get annoyed with her push and pull with Garrett but I also understood.

Jessica Prince can write the shit out of a story. Once she gets those writing flows going, watch out! She will suck you in hard into every book she writes. It's not even a joke, I get sucked in to every story she writes! I feel everything wrapped up perfectly. I didn't feel it was rushed and not predictable like some romance. I loved this book and the supporting characters. Each character complimented one another. I freaking cannot be more excited for the new year and what Jessica Prince has up her sleeve with the continuation of this series. I want more Gwen and Garrett!

5 Stars!

Toe-curling sexy--my new favorite Jessica Prince novel!

Garrett is one terrific, sexy alpha drummer, and initially Gwen is a sad, demure transplant to Seattle. Boy, that changes fast! (The Gwen part, NOT the Garrett part.)

I didn't expect the forces that drove them apart in the beginning, so I won't spoil it. Let's just say, I wasn't sure how they'd overcome THAT...

It's great fun when they do start getting back together, though. Garrett and Gwen are explosively sexy. Prepare for panty changes!

So if you're looking for a new second-chance rocker romance to devour, this is it. Corrupt is deliciously sexy, feisty, and passionate, and it will keep you clicking those pages until too early in the morning...

Thanks for the bloodshot eyes, Jessica!

Seriously, though, don't miss this one!!!

Gwen is still reeling from losing both her parents. Losing the home she loved was the final blow. When her best friend Corrine convinces her to move back to Seattle and stay with her Gwen packs up whats left of her life and makes the jump.

What happens when your best friend drags you to a rock star party? One hell of a night. A night that rocks your world. But waking up in the morning pretty much wipes the rock the world part.

When Gwen wakes up in the morning to an empty bed it all starts to come back to her. Whiskey, talking and Garrett. When the personal assistant of the band Kimber throws open the door to the bedroom and kicks her out of the room Gwen is shocked, she had no idea who Garrett is. It's not like she listens to there music. Anyway beyond mortified and embarrassed she gets out.

Fast forward a few weeks and her hot night with the legendary drummer of Civil Corruption leaves her with a surprise. A baby. After trying to contact Garrett it's not that easy and a nightmare ensures dealing with his manager and lawyers. She wants nothing from him at all. Gwen just thought he needed to know what there night resulted in. The money he gives her she doesn't touch, it's to be set up in a trust for their daughter when she's old enough to access it. Garrett can go to hell.

It's now present day, the access Gwen has had with Garrett is limited to their daughter Liddy. He's there when he can be. Touring with the band doesn't allow for being a hands on dad. But Garrett wants to try. He misses his daughter. He also misses Gwen, even though when they come together it ends in arguments and nasty words. But when Garrett finds out about stuff his manager Chris and assistant Kimber have kept from him he explodes.

Blackmailing the mother of his daughter to move in with him may not be the smartess thing he's done but he doesn't care. After seeing the crappy place they live in and arguing with Gwen he forces the issue. He doesn't understand why she hasn't touched the money he sends. All he knows is that he wants her. He wants for them to try and be a family.

Gwen is scared to let anyone in. She still feels the loss of parents. And is afraid to start anything with Garrett. They'd only had one night, one she has not forgotten. So what will happen if she does try and then Garrett decides he doesn't want forever? A great read. The character development is fantastic. The story moves along smoothly. I really enjoyed it. It was hot and steamy but also provided a great read.

Loved this! I loved the band. I'm looking forward to diving in to the rest of the series.

A new author for me. And one I have added to my one click list.

I was really hoping that somewhere along the line we would find out that the entire morning after with the heroine being kicked out of the hero's bed was a misunderstanding or his bitchy assistant took it upon herself to get her out. But nope the hero was just that much of an asshat. And then the thing is, I could move on from that. But then the next three years he apparently never grew up and was a shitty father to his kid and I just don't find that redeemable? Again, I was hoping that there was a misunderstanding or that he was being lied to by his lawyer and assistant and was avoiding the heroine and the kid for other reasons. Like he thought she really was a gold digger and trapped him or literally anything like that. Again, nope. I can say there was one thing we learn which So that gave me a bit of hope when he did find out that maybe he would start to change his ways but that just didn't really happen. He seemed to want to then try and control the heroine's life "for her better" but didn't make much of an effort other than throwing money at the problems he wanted to fix.

I really don't know how I ended up reading yet another baby daddy/mommy drama book from 2017 but I need to stop. I'm a little disappointed though since I've had this book on my tbr for so long and every time I re-read books from the Hope Valley books it reminds me that I need to come back and read this series and now that I've started I don't love it. I think I'll still try and continue and hope I like the next books a bit more.

I've got to be honest I failed to connect with the characters on this occasion, not for lack of trying.

Garrett, the drummer for rock band Civil Corruption, and Gwen meet at a party, although Gwen has no clue who Garrett is. Gwen was in a really vulnerable place emotionally dealing with the loss of both of her parents and her childhood home. Driven by hormones and Garrett's charm they hook-up, however, the rock douche shows his true colours the morning after. Leaving Gwen even more distressed than she had been before. Repercussions from their one night together ensure they will always be forced to deal with each other.

While I admired Gwen for her independence and determination to make the best of the situation, her tendency to become a brainless mess of hormones whenever she is around Garrett drove me nuts. It put her into doormat territory.

Garrett, in the meantime, continues to embrace his rocker lifestyle, flaunting his dalliances in plain sight. I honestly did not warm up to the pig at all. When he finally pulls his head from his backside and realises what he has with Gwen is something special, there was no explanation for the change to add to its credibility. I honestly did not trust his motives or ability to remain monogamous.

There are a lot of other things at play within the plot, showing the nefarious actions of some people working with the band, and also the foundation for the other members of the band to get their own stories. While I am intrigued to find out more about each individual member, I am concerned they will be just as douche-tastic as Garrett.

4.5 stars! I completely devoured this book! And then immediately devroued it again!

The bad boy rocker you want to hate (and love) and the girl he corrupts! I loved Garrent (and hated him a bit at times), but mostly loved him and Gwen. And Liddy was such a sweetheart!

Loved this book and cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

Happy reading!

I found the new series by Jessica Prince to be very good and super engrossing. The characters leaped off the pages and take root, where you want to see them find their happiness ASAP.
In the case for book 1= Corrupt, this is filled with amazing characters, nasty villain(s), serious plot and a phenomenal plot. Oh and of course the regular angst and sizzling sexy passion to go with the storyline.
Garrett and Gwen meet at a party and have a one night stand. What followed was a massive screwup that followed that night that went for several years to come until they ended back up in each others orbit after all that time. When they do end up back together after all that time, there is a huge misunderstanding and Gwen is sort of a twit which made me want to smack her BUT knowing where she was coming from, made it easier to forgive her because Garrett wasn’t super clean in all this but when things were found out, he did try to fix them. He after the past, did try to do everything he could to make amends but Gwen sort of didn’t want to hear it. It was maddening and amazing to watch these lovers come back together and get their second chance. Oh these sexy rockers (Garrett) and their ways… Gwen and her sassy ways… its going to come to a head and when it does, will Gwen and Garrett get their HEA? Or will this be the final nail in their coffin ? I enjoyed the start to the new series and look forward the next book in the series.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *****

Sweet lord. Words cannot express how much I FLOVED Corrupt.

Seriously. It ticked off all the boxes for me. Amazing characters. Check. Compelling, engrossing story line. Check. Bit of a villain who gets their comeuppance. Check. Hot and sexy times. Check. Little angst, lots of love. Check.

I have to admit, I really had no idea how the relationship with Garrett and Gwen was going to work. There was so much shared history, almost too much to work through. But man, when they tried, it was awesome to see.

I loved Gwen and her backbone. Loved that she didn't cower or cave to the big, bad, sexy AF rockstar. She held her ground, doing what was best for her. And Garrett. Jeez. Part of me hated him. Part of me wanted to shake some sense into him. Dumb man that he is. But I loved watching him "wake up" when it came time to step up.

I devoured Corrupt in one sitting. And I cannot wait for more in this Civil Corruption series! ~ Missy, 5 stars

"I found Jessica Prince when she released Chance Encounters, so it hasn't been that long, but since then, I've read about 4 or 5 other books by her. So When I saw Corrupt, I snatched up this ARC as fast as I could. I didn't even read to see what it was about before signing up.
I was so glad that I did, because this book has become my favorite Jessica Prince book so far!

I absolutely loved these characters. I did get a bit annoyed with Gwen at some parts. The self destructive nature got a bit old, so I cheered Corrie when she told Gwen about it. Anyway....Garrett And Gwen as hostile as they were in the beginning, we actually pretty perfect together. Garrett himself was pretty perfect. You could tell that from the moment that Gwen and Liddy moved in with him, that he was head over heels. For some reason, Gwen wasn't getting the memo.

As for the rest of the band, I can't wait until each of their books. Especially Mace and his 'lady'. I'm so excited about that one and I only got a glimpse of them in this book. Though, I'm pretty excited for the hate sex when it comes to Declan and Tate ;)

Overall, Jessica wrote a 5 star book that I'm definitely going to recommend to anyone that will listen to me! "

Corrupt is book 1 in The Civil Corruption series. Each book is about a different band member.
In book one we have our hero,Garrett the drummer and the h is Gwen a small town girl.
I took a chance on this because I LOVE the Rock star troupe and I immediately got hooked. I loved the writing.
This story had just enough angst, plenty of sweet and sexy, also laugh out loud moments and it was a bit of a slow burn, which I love.
The main characters are amazing, not perfect by far especially our H but that is what makes for a good read. We love to see growth. And out h Gwen!! You can expect her to hold her ground and very feisty when need be.
The side characters are amazing as well and are added in enough that we get to know them and has a great set up for their books.
I have never read this author before and I’m happy to say I will definitely be looking out for her.
Loved it!!

Immediately this book sucked me in. I loved the way Jessica Prince set up the platform for the story right from the get go. This isn't your cookie cutter romance, it's full of hard feelings, real truths, banter, passion and sexy scenes that leave you blushing. I love the chemistry between Gwen and Garret, it flew off the page and smoldered on my kindle. This is a love story with a rock and roll edge that will make you fall for the wrong, or right? Guy;) and as soon as you finish, you'll immediately search for Jessica's backlist and binge read. I can't wait for Tatum and Declan's story next!

Aaand I'm out at 29%. I despise both characters and have no interest in reading anything more about his man-slut ways and her ridiculous BBS and caving to the pig. For four years he's treated her like absolute shite on the sole of his shoe and she's still panting for him when she's not trying to be a hard as nails bitch. Just no.
