Gray Clouds Blue Skye is Barbara E. Bull's second novel following Katherine MacLeod, a retired educator, who now lives full time in her nearly 150-year old family cottage on the shores of Lake Michigan. Katerine revels in the solitude and majestic beauty of her home and lake during all seasons. However, the Alzheimer's journey of a cherished aunt, who is disturbed by puzzling fears, becomes a mystery that disrupts the tranquility of Katherine's life. The dark days are brightened by a rekindled-flame of a long-ago Summer love, and by an energetic, intelligent dog - Blue-Skye.
I love these books. The author captures the West Michigan setting beautifully and the plots are engrossing, the characters sympathetic and believable. Lots of wisdom and nature observations
Love this series! Realistic characters and story lines keep me reading and enjoying. The seasonal descriptions of Lake Michigan's beautiful coastline make me feel like I'm there.
