When I'm not up to my knees in nappies, I write children's books. I also spend a fair amount of time eating chocolate. I try to write funny, read-aloud books that parents will enjoy as much as children - after all, if you have to share the same stories umpteen times, you may as well enjoy them.
I hope you like my books enough to read them umpteen times. Thank you - Michelle.

Having the greatest snow day ever wrapped up warm and teaching myself Tunisian Crochet. The instructions are straightforward, and the step-by-step photograph guides keep you right. It's a great book for beginners, and I look forward to trying the more advanced patterns.

I found the pictures inadequate to take you from start to finish.
Get The Tunisisan Crochet Handbook: a beginner's guide by Toni Lipsey instead. Her "helpful hint" about each technique brought my tunisian crochet skill to a whole new level. The pictures and descriptions really help you learn the patterns. I learned 10 new patterns in under 2 weeks.
Sorry that this book just didn't help me as much

An excellent introduction, especially for those who are familiar with standard crochet but want to try Tunisian. "Complete" is, however, a bit of a reach. Because Tunisian crochet resembles knitting in the diversity of stitch patterns and sequences, a truly complete book would run to hundreds of pages. However, this covers the basics well and has some good exercises and sample patterns that work from beginner level well up to intermediate. Color changes, intarsia, and even entrelac are covered. Patterns are given both in text form and in charted forms for those who prefer that. (I do not.) If you can have only one book, this is a good start, but if you get into Tunisian seriously, you will want some of the more detailed and advanced titles.

Great resource!

Although I'm an intermediate to expert crocheter using regular hooks, I've never delved into Tunisian crochet beyond the basics. Lately I've decided to expand my crochet techniques and this book was my choice. And a great choice it was! Not only does this book teach you many stitches in Tunisian crochet, it has some really great projects at the end to let you use your new skills. I see a Sampler Blanket in my future!

Good starter book if you want to learn Tunisian crochet. Sample projects are easy to follow. Had to print stitch list & abbreviations because it was hard to go back and forth when doing projects. The Sampler Afghan is a good piece to practice stitches - my kitties loved laying on it while I was crocheting so that was an additional challenge 😁.

Beginning to Intermediate Tunsian Crochet

The author shows the reader the basic stitches in Tunisian crochet for the beginner like me, and when I've learned the basics, it goes on to share more experienced stitches! Finally, a bunch of patterns are included to use all the different stitches I've learned. Great book!

Tunisian crochet looks difficult and some of the patterns can be difficult to follow but this book does a good job of illustrating and explaining the process. It also explains the correct hooks to use. They start with the simple and expand into intermediate. She includes 12 patterns that are beautiful. This is great for the average crochet enthusiast that wants to expand their skills.

The projects look very complicated but the actual stitches are easy and really fun to do. This was my first try with Tunisian and I was able to figure it out from the pictures and instructions.

Great book explaining the how-to's of tunisian crochet. I dive into this book frequently to clarify and for inspiration relating to new stitches.

This book was okay. I thought the cover pattern was a blanket. It was not. I didn’t care for the rest of the patterns.
