I am not a huge fantasy reader, but this book drew me in and held my attention for the entire book. I ended up really enjoying it and now I NEED to know what happens in book 2. I loved the whole premise of everyone who lives on Athendora having a pretty awesome Animous. All of these gifts served the storyline and I found it pretty exciting. I felt that all of the characters, especially Kyra, were very believable and so was the dialogue. I do like the way this one ended (no spoilers) and set us up for the next book. Perfect for middle and high school readers. Great job!

Rupture is a very creative , adventurous book. It takes readers on a journey that is unique and full of beautiful moments. The book is full of mystical explorations in the land of Athlendora.

The fantasy story line is filled with some romance and typical drama that’s needed to make a book captivating. The clean storyline makes it a great read for middle school kids as well as adults. Who can beat that?

Kyra’s growth through the story is something that is sure to inspire many girls. And Dresden is better than any Prince Charming.

I look forward to book two and following this young authors journey.

I ended up really liking this book. I found myself very involved in the story and characters, and now I'm dying to see where the next book takes the story. I think the writing is slightly immature, but it would be a great book for teens. There's a lot of potential in this series, and I'm looking forward to the next book.

Great new book that kept me hooked from page one. Characters are fun and unique and so easy for the reader to love throughout the journey of the book. I feel myself missing Athlendora and can't wait for book 2 so that I can go back!

This book started off really good and I was excited to see what happened and when I reached Chapter 3 it got even better. I kept reading and by the time I was consciously tired I couldn’t put the book down. I read this book in one night, and I already miss Athlendora. This was an amazing book and I loved meeting the people of Athlendora, including Dresden and his brothers and also Jo. Dresden and Kyra’s story is captivating and at the end of the book the biggest thing I ache to read is their relationship and of Athlendora’s ways. This book is so hard NOT to fall in love with and I am so excited to dive deeper into Kyra’s and Dresden’s story with book 2.
