A cyborg with a secret… A female seeking the truth…
Vector, the C Model captain of the Freedom, is a cyborg many warriors wish to emulate. He fights fiercely, leads with honor, has earned the respect and loyalty of his crew. But no being, not even a cyborg, is perfect. Since arriving at the Homeland, Vector has been hiding a dark truth about his past. If his secret is exposed, he could lose everything – his position, his ship, and his life.
Kasia excels at uncovering secrets. Half a lifespan ago, her curiosity placed her on the Humanoid Alliance’s kill list. Now she has accessed information the cyborg council would prefer remain hidden. Their warriors are hunting her and won’t rest until she’s dead. When Vector arrives on her battle station, all grim determination, gray skin, and bulging muscles, Kasia knows he has been sent to kill her. That doesn’t stop her from wanting the dominant cyborg. She senses the savage nature under the male’s controlled exterior, sees the mysteries in his brilliant blue eyes, craves the roughness of his touch. She will risk all she has to experience his embrace.
Kasia braved the cyborg council’s ire for a reason. If she doesn’t convince Vector to act on the information she uncovered, the enemy could destroy his home planet and render every cyborg in the universe immobile.
Can a doubting C Model warrior learn to trust and to love before it is too late?
Seeking Vector is Book 10 in the Cyborg Sizzle series and is a STAND-ALONE story. It is also a Cyborg SciFi Romance.
USA Today bestselling author Cynthia Sax writes steamy cyborg and alien romances. Her stories have been featured in Star Magazine, on TV, and numerous romance top ten lists.
When she isn't writing, she's traveling the world with her Dear Wonderful Hubby, meeting new people, visiting new places.
In the Cyborg Sizzle universe, the Human Alliance have been producing cyborgs, who they believe to be just machines, to fight their wars, carry out their atrocities all whilst abusing them in the all the terrible ways you can think of. After all, they’re just machines right? Wrong. The cyborgs are more than just machines and they will get them and their brethren out from the control of the evil Human Alliance to live their lives in freedom. And, when they find that special woman? She’s coming right along with them.
1 review…11 books – 8 full length and 3 novellas – normally I would do an individual review for each book, however, I read all of these in quick succession and I wanted to save you from essentially reading the same review 11 times. The review goes something like this: Me Love Sexy Cyborgs. Repeat. As well as this, the books all followed a very similar pattern, made very apparent by the fact that I literally read them one after another, which is an endorsement in itself. However, before you have gotten a few pages in you essentially know exactly what is going to happen when, but that didn’t stop me from coming along for the ride anyways.
Like in all series, I had my favourites, my absolute favourite being Ghost of a Machine, and I had the ones I didn’t gel quite so well with. But, as each book gave me a sexy cyborg to lust over I was happy with each instalment. And dayum them cyborgs…they know how to get a lady all hot and bothered. Whether it’s by their clueless adoration, their sexy dirty talk or the mad oral skills they somehow managed to pick up I was a goner for each one of them.
So, if like me you enjoy s sexy sci-fi romance story – heavy on the sexy romance, light on the story – these books are a lot of fun. The cyborgs in it are both sweet and intense and the heroines run the gamut from sweet and submissive, sassy and impulsive, brainiacs and badasses. Now, that I have read everything out I am now itching to get my hands on the next in the series!
P.S. last time I checked Releasing Rage the first book in the series and all the novellas were free on Amazon.
Finally, a Black heroine! Yay! But she looks like a man?! Boo!
What does it take to get a Black heroine in a BBW cyborg space series, where the lady love interests are purple, green with brown stripes or, of course, white? Are there no curvy Black women in outer space? Well, imagine my excitement over meeting Kasia! Then imagine my disappointment at her being described as masculine in stature and physique, even to the point of having previously passed as a man (although I appreciated how the author wove that detail into the story, and that it was actually instrumental in the plot development). For a lot of reasons I won't explore or explain in this space, related to culturally defined standards of beauty and feminity and racially-biased stereotypes related to the same, I'd hoped for a different physical representation of Black beauty and femininity than what was presented. To be fair, though, Kasia as depicted, is also a woman that does exist in real life, and that woman deserves an erotic love story which reflects, acknowledges, and appreciates her beauty as well. I won't hate on that, but I will say that it's not quite the heroine I'd hoped for this time around.
Vector is a C-model warrior, the most primitive of the cyborgs and Captain of the warship Freedom. His mission, find the female that has hacked cyborg transmissions and track her location. Eliminating her.
Kasia left her home, her family, her loved ones when she hacked into the Humanoid Alliances system and found out the truth about cyborgs. Now she spends her time in air conduits of the battle stations the Humanoid Alliance have, hiding and trying to find any information that can help save anyone that the Humanoid Alliance plan to eliminate and trying to give hope to the cyborgs under their cruel command.
Vector was a true and brave warrior. No warrior had more honor than he did. He had inner strength that was incomparable. Males fought to join his crew. Kasia was loved by all the J-model cyborgs. They knew she wasn't their female but she gave them hope of a future.
I love this author. She breathes life into her words. She loves steam and HEA within her stories. Cynthia Sax is one of my go to authors.
I can't wait to see who is next to find their female.
Psst. Still loving these cyborgs and their sometimes brutal, always forthright ways. Which seems like a funny thing to say when we're talking about characters who are keeping secrets, but Vector's belief that he'll be decommissioned if his secret is found out comes from years of the Humanoid Alliance doing just that. So, you know, I get it.
As for Kasia and Vector as a team...YESSSSS. She's got the hacking chops to keep him and the other cyborgs safe and Vector has the foresight to listen to her (after verifying her code isn't going to damage any of his brothers) when she deposits information into his hands. She risks herself to keep him and his brothers safe and her big, muscley hunny-bunny appreciates that. You know, after he freaks out about her putting herself in danger.
As an aside, I read the CSE spinoff series before finishing this one and, OH MY HEART, Dissent. Kasia managed to keep him alive and mentally stable after his abuse (earning his and every other cyborg on the ship's eternal gratitude) and OH MY HEART.
Vector and Kasia are amazing! Vector has orders to find, question, then kill his little intruder, then return to Homeworld. He’s attracted to, but not trusting Kasia. The more Dissent and the 1,000 other J-models try to protect her, the more protective he becomes. Little by little, Kasia proves herself trustworthy, acting only to protect him. I adore these two! Vector holds himself back, resisting the attraction, but Kasia throws herself headlong into the action - and his arms. She knows he is the ‘one’ for her. She is an amazingly strong and dedicated female, brilliant at decoding secret information, determined to save lives. Though Vector is not as badly damaged as Ghost, he has defects. In just a few short words and a wiggle of toes, our author conveys his fears and directs our attention. So well done! There are a number of secondary characters portrayed here that I really want to know better. Their stories will be intriguing. The mission they decide upon is highly dangerous and before it’s done, I’ve run through the gamut of emotions. It’s such a wonderful story! In the words of Kasia, “The rumors are true. Once you go cyborg, you never go back.” A must-read story!
Omg every book of this series is awesome each one better that the one before . Seeking Vector is the tenth book in Cynthia Sax Cyborg Sizzle series . Full of action, adventure and passion this book won't let you put it down until you finish the last page. Vector is on a mission tasked by the cyborg council with finding the being who has hacked their information finding out what they know and ending them. Kasia has been alone and hidden for a long time but that's about to change. When these two finally meet after numerous communications its very clear that she is his female. These characters are well written and such depth you can't help but relate to them . This is a story that you fall into and become a part of and all the other books in this series are just as fantastic .If you only read one series is year make it this one.
Another excellent Cyborg romance. Kasia is tough and smart and human. Vector is determined to find her and meet the voice. They both set the other on fire. But the Cyborg Council does not trust her and wants Vector to eliminate her. Kasia has given up so much to help the Free Cyborgs. When Vector and she meet, it's like striking a match. The J models are willing to protect her from all. Vectors little "issue" is so minor. But I was so worried for Kasia and where she stood. At times I felt tears cloud my eyes about what happened to the cyborgs and her.
Once again Cynthia gave us an excellent Cyborg romance that always Sizzles. I cant wait for more. Hopefully we get to read about Dissent, Truth, or any of the others.
I am in love with this book! Sax's writing and character development continue to get better with each book in the series, and she is pulling the plot forward more so her stories aren't just sex scenes threaded together by talking.
I am dearly hoping for an alien female/cyborg romance to show up soon. Kasia was stunningly gorgeous. She was black and thin, two descriptors we have not seen in the series yet. I am glad to see some diversity springing up and hope more is to come.
This book and Ghost of a Machine are leaps ahead of previous books in the series, though honestly reading those books are part of the enjoyment as everything is linked together. I say again: though the stories are touted as standalones, it is best to read them in order and not skip them.
As usual Cynthia has handed us a story that shows anyone can triumph over evil, pain, danger, self consciousness and deception to name just a few. Vector’s story is worth every bit of lost sleep. His lady may seem his opposite but in every way that counts she is his perfect match. Cynthia you have turned story telling into an art form, your world building and creativity is beyond compare, the emotions behind your characters reach deep inside the reader with each word on the page. Awesome work.
The next in this series about Cyborgs was great. Love this series. The cyborgs are trying to escape and reach the planet they call Homeland. Keeping it's location a secret. Kasia is a computer systems geek trying to save cyborgs and help them escape. Vector is a C model cyborg trying to find her because she has sent him information she has stolen from the Human Alliance. It's a fun exciting adventure. Revenge is taken against the evil that destroyed humans and cyborgs in previous books. Just a really great read!
I absolutely loved this latest installment in the cyborg sizzle series by Cynthia Sax. I enjoyed reading about Vector and Kasia's adventures and about them falling in love. I'm truly hooked on this amazing series and I can't wait to read the next one. If you want to read a great story that has action, adventure and a sizzling romance I highly recommend you read this book. My only complaint is that I wished it didn't end.❤️
Vengeance is golden but acceptance is beautiful. Vector and Kasia have earned both but will have to fight through it and patience isn't Kasia's strongest traits lol. Love this Cyborg world and though I cry through their pain I keep coming back for more cause when they find their happiness they treasure it even more.
This book was just as exciting and interesting as all the previous ones? All of the books have plenty of action, humor, strong alpha cyborg with mates to complement them, and steamy love scenes that leaves you saying ahhh. Beautiful series that you will not be disappointed to start reading and highly recommended.
This is a fun, exciting, violent, hot read about a C model who is on a mission to find a possible traitor. She is doing all she can to help the cyborgs on her station hold on, until the revolution. What will happen when she allows her cyborg actually find her. Enjoy I did.
Exciting romantic adventure with incredible characters who have honor, love, and give 100% for protecting their own! The different between two characters who are different as night and day makes humor and fun light up this story. Thanks for another incredible read💖💖
Is it just me, spoiler, or only the c models having kids?
It’s something that hit me at the end of this book. I don’t think I have heard of another model manufacturing offspring.
BRB, I’m going to check something.
Ok. So they hinted that Vapor’s female might have been conveying an offspring at the end of their book. We know that Rage had two full grown sons by the time they met up with Ghost to help his female give birth and in that last bit of the story they say that Rage’s female has been present at all births. So it’s possible that not all of them came from c models. Just the odds, but I think we have only seen C model offsprings.
As for the rest of the story, I got the change in the cyborg that I was so missing from Ghost’s story. I’m not saying that everyone who has had terrible trauma in their life should get over it, this male didn’t. But he got to a place where he was able to more full function with others. And I think that if you are writing a story about someone who wants kids and this kids will grow up to have friends and hopefully a life partner, it would be a good idea to able to let them live their life without you at best impeding their emotional growth or at worst killing anyone that looks at you.
Yes, I’m much happier with Vector.
His female knew what was happening from the get go about everything. Her attempt at trying to leave was good intentioned but was less than half hearted. She is a smart one.
I’m very happy with this book. I would have liked it if we could have connected with her family, since I think she is the only one we have met who still has one, but it would have been out of character for the author to do that. That is why when the explosion happened, I was prepared for the worst. She has and will kill off people, so maiming an MC isn’t below her.
Now to see what the next book will be and I’m including the book with the white cover as part of this set. It’s call A Cyborg’s Baby, I think. One sec. I was close. It’s A Cyborg’s Secret Baby. I’ll have to check her website to know if that is the next one to be read.
Ok, next up is the novella Knowing Zip. So, I’m going to read that.
BRB
Ok. I have now read Knowing Zip and it’s quite a fitting title. But with all the novellas it’s very much to the point and lacking undo drama so, saying almost anything gives the whole story away.
But the one interesting bit is that people now know about the cyborg rebellion. I wonder how and what was released to show what happened and the spin that was used. I may find that out in the next book.
Vector is determined to find the human female that has been communicating with him through cyborg channels. What he doesn’t expect is for her to be his mate and for the other J model cyborgs to be so protective of her.
I really liked this one. Vector was extremely protective but also hiding a lot of PTSD. Kaisa is one of my favorite females from this series. She is extremely smart, resourceful, and isn’t afraid to do the right thing. She was the perfect partner for Vector. These two were great and I want to see more of them in the future.
This Humanoid Alliance continues to fall with more officers being found and destroyed. More cyborgs were rescued in this one and I can’t wait to read their stories, especially Dissents.
This book is about Kasia who is Vector's female. The only problem? The cyborg council wants him to kill her. Kasia has been spending many planet rotations keeping the cyborgs on the humanoid alliance ship that she's hiding on sane. She gives them hope of a future and females of their own if only they can withstand their torture until their brethren arrive. Kasia has earned the respect of every cyborg on her vessel and she's not going to let Vector take that from her but she is going to make him love her just as much. She's willing to die for what she believes in even if that means leaving Vector but he'll go against council orders to keep his female alive. Together they aim to help the cyborgs to take their revenge against those that have oppressed them but will it come at too big a cost?
I had to be honest with myself and give it an honest rating. Totally loved Kasia. She's A black woman, fit due to her survival tactics, with short hair and the smarts anyone would envy. I loved the fact author doesn't follow society's standards of beauty. Casia is depicted as a strong woman, fit, and having passed as male at times. Realistic. I'm not sure of the rating; because I expected her to have strong character. Too bubbly. Straight forward; but maybe it was she got what she longed for.
Very interesting progression of the world/universe in this edition to the series. I’m looking forward to more of the sci fi world created in this line of books.
The female was smart and I loved the angst shown by Vector. I would love to read a book for Dissent, Truth and Chuckles. I also liked the update on Mayhem.
I saved up four of these books so I could binge read it. So I’m off to read Knowing Zip.
This series gets better with every strong heroine and fantastic cyborg I meet. Kasia smart, talented and do look reckless!! she's also a tech genius. Vector is a primitive model at heart but cool and controlled when he needs to be. Toss these two souls together and you've got a passion filled adventure with true heartfelt emotions.that will make you long for a childhood your very own.
Kasia had to hid to stay alive and safe from the Humanoid Alliance. She would watch and listen to everything that everyone did, she even tried to save the Cyborgs in her area of influence. But there was only one being she wanted to know her when she heard his voice and that was Vector. Vector was a C Model Cyborg and always followed orders, well until he met Kasia. Then it was like following a reckless woman into battle without boots.
Loved this story as much as all the others I've read in this series. As the story unfolds and the Cyborgs get closer and closer to true freedom, their reward is finding their females and producing offspring. Each story is well crafted and draws you in. When I start a book in this series I can't put it down. I'm compelled to finish it. I'll be sorry to reach the end of the last book even knowing there is another series to start.
Wonderful story! Very sweet and very romantic. Love Vector even more now, he was a straight laced follow the rules Cyborg, until he met She wore him down with her joy for life, her rule blasting outlook and her compassion for her cyborgs. Read it, it's puts joy in your heat. There are some cameo's from some cyborgs and their mates. 5 stars baby!
Great story, human h is wonderful, spies for cyborgs, but knows they don't trust her, so she stays in hiding. The H is great, strong, fearless, he has a secret and believes it means he is defective. This is a great love story, all the cyborgs love her, and respect H. Together they they overcome the evil humans. This is a dark story, humans and cyborgs are tortured.
Great book! Another winner in the Cyborg world. Kasia was a great character and Vector was perfect for her. It was good to see previous characters and GREAT to see justice done finally for our departed friends. I look forward to seeing if Power gets a female.
I love a good cyborg story and this one hit all the things that I like in a cyborg romance and kept me wanting more. There are several interesting characters that I hope will be getting their own story! if you like go read cyborg romance this will be a story you want to pick up!
Still loving this series, still think a wee bit to much sex going on ;) but loving the characters and story arc. Every heroine is different, the Cyborgs all have their own issues to overcome keeping the stories exciting and addicting. Quick, wonderful read once again.
