I've been writing fanfic since 2004. Some of my Wolfstar AU romances have become minor fandom classics.

Discards is an important work of fiction.

Remus is an HIV+ homeless sex worker. Sirius is a trans guy who works at the Seattle Public Library. This fic manages to handle some heavy, currently relevant topics while also being a very sweet read. It has its moments of angst but it also has a lot of kissing and fluff. A great many chapters have links to further reading resources on the topics covered in the story.

This fic requires no knowledge of Harry Potter to be appreciated. It only requires that you have a big heart and a readiness to learn about some important topics.

Ooooh I liked this one, it was really good! I read it in one night, the story just didn't let me go... I especially enjoyed the diverse characters, they were (as far as I can tell) well written and relatable :) Also, there was romance and friendship and drama in what I felt was a very well-balanced mixture ;)

This is a story made for queer people , about queer people and its probably one of the best I've ever read. The way the author incorporate so many different queer identities just feels so right. Every identity was done with justice.

Also of course, the way that this story handled a lot of trauma that queer people go through was brilliant. It handled all of these different elements like homelessness, sex work, mental illness and more in a way that was done with compassion and respect.

I feel like this story pointed out a lot of prejudices that some people don't even realize they have, and called attention to these topics in a way that was informative.

And of course, I I have to give kudos to the author for always including different resources in their author notes like websites for help, stories of queer people, and so many more things that show how much care this author has not only for the accuracy of the fic , but also for the queer people reading their story.
