It's been a year since he's seen her—a year since Lyrian broke his heart. When his uncle dies and leaves him a house in Australia, Brad doesn't realize his whole life is about to change. He expects to take a week off from his demanding job as a cardiac surgeon. Maybe spend some time with the beautiful Lyrian again. But what he finds is more than he ever bargained for. He could never have guessed he'd end up with an instant family.

But Lyrian is harbouring more secrets than just a child. She's a dragon princess on a mission. She must find her brothers and sisters so her infant daughter won't grow up without a clan.

Can Lyrian count on Brad to help her find her lost clan? Or will he just get in her way?

Rinelle Grey

Rinelle Grey is no stranger to alternate lifestyles. She grew up in a variety of different homes, including a riverside shack with no electricity or running water, and even a tent. She and her sister spent their childhood chasing goats, climbing trees, eating peas and corn out of their mother’s vegetable garden, and occasionally rushing to get their correspondence school work in on time. Despite the difficulties of this lifestyle, she wouldn’t swap it for all the luxuries in the world (though she is rather fond of her running hot water and indoor plumbing now!)

She met her husband in ‘Family Therapy’, an elective they were both taking as part of their psychology degrees. It took several years for them to get together, in fact, their roleplaying characters got together before they did!

They married on the beach at sunrise in 2002, two months after Rinelle popped the question.

Although she had always loved to write, it wasn’t until her daughter was about eighteen months old that Rinelle started writing seriously. Probably not the best stage in terms of having spare time! And time only became scarcer when her daughter gave up her day sleep six months later. But by then, Rinelle had well and truly caught the writing bug, finding time somehow to continue with her passion. Her fast typing speed learnt from spending way too much time chatting on IRC, and the investment in an iPad when they came out, helped immensely.

Rinelle now lives on acreage with her husband and homeschooled daughter. In her spare time, she sells stock photography through an online site to support her family, and is hoping that writing will be able to add to that.

She loves to receive e-mails at rinelle@rinellegrey.com, or follow her on facebook or twitter.

Dragons are real

After his Uncle dies, Brad comes to Australia to settle his affairs. Wondering if the woman he had feelings for is still there, he gets more than one surprise. The woman is there, he has a daughter, and dragons are real. This book is a serial. I look forward to reading the others parts to find out what happens.

Dragon shifter

This is one of those books that is written in many small novellas instead of one large novel. It was slow moving and a little boring for me, plus not enough character development.

This is the first book I have read by Rinelle. Dragon Breeze is a serial. Brad and Lyrian meet a year ago. She was all over him almost immediately after meeting him. But then she backed off but kept teasing and flirting. Brad finally wore her down for a second chance with her. But, when he mentioned her coming back to America with him and there being something serious between them she turned him down flat. Now his uncle has died and Brad is back to take care of somethings and look at the house his uncle left him. Only when he goes to the house Lyrian is there and she has some secrets of her own. A big one is that her and Brad have a child together. Or, at least that seems like the biggest secret she has but it isn’t. Lyrian must decide if she is going to confide in Brad and take the help he is offering or push him away again. Only know that he knows about his child he may not be pushed away so easily. I love books about shifters and these shifters are one of my favorite kind. I am excited to see where the story goes next.

He Left His Heart Down Under...

What a wonderful, suspenseful series this is going to be.

Brad never thought a week at his uncles in Australia would send him back home to America without his heart. He survived repairing other's hearts being a successful heart surgeon even though his had no repair. Until his uncle died and left him his house and a very mysterious letter that would change his life forever. He didn't expect when he arrived at uncle's in Australia, although he'd hoped, that the girl Lyrian who he'd made love to twice and sent him away a year ago would still be around, what he never expected was that little bundle with blue hair like her mother's, whom he had thought dyed it...... Now he must protect them from those that would harm them in a country where he was a virtual stanger. He knew how to repair a person's heart, but he didn't know the first thing about fighting dragons. Dang he hadn't known they existing a few hours ago!

Dragon Secrets by Rinelle Grey is the first story in the new Dragon Breeze series.
Note: this review contains spoilers!
Lyrian Is a dragon who wasn’t woken from her Mesmer slumber in the usual way. So when Brad showed up, she needed him in more ways than one. But he left and went back to America without her, never knowing who she really was. It’s a year later and Brad is back in Australia to take care of his uncle’s will when he finds Lyrian still living on his uncle’s ranch. She isn’t alone. She has a baby: his baby. And he still doesn’t know she is a dragon. What started out as a reunion, although not an overly happy one, quickly turns deadly as a Trima dragon attacks. Although they manage to get away, how long will they be safe? Will they find Lyrian’s brothers? Will they stay together?
You'll need to read this and the rest of the books in the series to find out!

Great first part

Great story. Lyrian is a wind dragon. She is Taurian's sister. She was awaken by an older man named Henry. Henry called his nephew Brad to come help him with something. When he got the helped Lyrian regain all her strength by sleeping with her, eventhough he didn't know he was doing the Mesmer healing. He stayed one week, had sex twice then went back home. He asked Lyrian to come to America with him but she shut down and stayed in her room until he left.
Twelve months later.... Henry died and left his house to Brad. So he came back to Australia and discovered his daughter, dragons and a whole lot of problems. I love these books. I just hate having to wait for the next issue because the are serials. Oh well, it's worth the wait.

This Girl Can Keep A Secret

Going to help his uncle for a week ,Brad meets a young woman Lydian who he falls for... He ask her to return to America with him where he is a doctor. She said no. A year later his uncle has died leaving the house to him so he returns to Australia, wondering if he will see her again. He doesn't know he will find her at the house. Doesn't know her secrets, not even the ones he should have been told. When he finds out, they will have to run for their lives. Can they find any of her people? Can Brad keep them safe? You will certainly want the rest of this series.

Dragon Wars

This is more the first book in a serial than a series or standalone. An American surgeon visits his brother and uncle in Australia. A year later, his uncle passes away and leaves him his home. When he returns to take care of the estate, however, he finds the same young blue haired woman who captured his heart then sent him away still living in the house. But now there's also a blue haired infant as well. And she's his daughter.
Fortunately, this serial is available in the KU library. I've checked out the next book to see where the story goes.

Two-parter this is the first!

It is an awesome series, I have read one other and can not remember which exactly, so they are all connected and should probably be read in order, so as to not be lost or confused. I really enjoyed this part also and the characters of the series. I'm looking forward to getting them all and start from beginning in order! Thanks Rinelle keep writing!

Dragon Secrets

Dan was brought back to Australia after his uncle Henry died to settle up his affairs. And seeing Lyrain and meeting Anarain, his daughter, his whole life was about to change. Especially since Dan finds out that they are dragons. This new Dragon Breeze series is going to be great! I just wish the book was longer.

What a secret

His uncle has just died and he's come back to settle the affairs. What he wasn't planning on was finding the one woman he really wanted to stay with still at his uncle's house with his child. Shes reluctant to trust him at first but ultimately she has to, their lives are in danger.

Unable to rate at this time

I can not rate is book that is obviously not finished. I hate reading a book a few chapters at a time and I hate when a book is broken into several mini books. So even though Rinelle Grey is an amazing author and this book will be fantastic when finished with I will wait to rate it or read further episodes until its finished.

Not a complete story, need to get the next book to find out what happens.
I have read other books in this series on and off and quite enjoyed them but found this one quite slow.
I also didn't like that it is open ended and you will need to read more books to finish the story.

While this book is very well written it is extremely short and ends with a cliff hanger so this is more of a chapter book then a full book.

It has a few twists that keep you on the edge of your seat, while tossing in a dragon baby.

Only thing i like about this was that it was short. I’m sorry got to be honest. All of the sudden we get thrown into a random world with alien dragons? Not even sure it was never explained... It was just not for me.
