Heart pounding

Having no idea which way the story was going to unfold and take me, it kept me on the edge of my seat. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Kingdom of Honor really brings the best out of Jude. His love for Camille knows no limit. Volume 3 follows him through his mission to rescue Camille out the evil coven. Finally gathering all the key characters, we get to see relationships form, good and bad. They must all find a way to work together in not only rescuing Camille but breaking the curse.
I love that not everything is straightforward, it adds to the excitement and mystery, however, when did Alena get this dreadful attitude? Such a sweet girl in book 1, she's now become a bit "too big for her boots" in my opinion. I can see the tension between her and Jude potentially become an issue in book 4.
A great series I'm really enjoying and continue to highly recommend.

Book in 5 Words: Boring, Mildly Interesting, Disappointing, Long, Underwhelming

Series: Yes
Series Book #: 3, second to last in the series

Summary: This book is from Jude's POV. Alena, Hunter, Camille, and their allies are continuing the search for the true spear to prevent it from being used for evil.

Analysis: The reason for my low rating is that this story kept jumping from location to location in an unrealistic way, Jude's feelings towards Alena are not explained, and Camille's parents lightly discuss how they harmed Camille .

HEA: Yes
Cliffhanger: Yes, but it is an underwhelming last chapter.
Heat Level: 1

I feel like I'm being punked. All these glowing reviews and here I am bored and confused. 😭 The most boring, going in circles, rescue attempt(s) ever. This book's Alena is also a either a doppelganger or an alien because she's not the same Alena from Kingdom of Embers. I had to force myself to finish this book. I literally starting skimming around the halfway point. And now I need to know how this mess ends.

PS. Most females don't have an Adams apple. 🤷🏼‍♀️

description

Kingdom of Embers: Legacies vibes
Kingdom of Darkness: Shutter Island (with magic) vibes
Kingdom of Honor: an attempt at the Da Vinci Code meets Escape Room vibes but a lot less fun

Impressed! That is the only word that comes to mind when I think of how this story is playing out! Jude is amazing! Truly a noble soul! His love for Camille is precious! A lot of people are surprised by Elenas behavior but not me, I think she’s just being her true self. Such as she was in the first book.
Camille is such a kind soul as well and I am so glad she got her powers back. My heart couldn’t take it otherwise. I feel sad about Jude’s father not having been rescued but I pray he and Jude work things out in the end. Things aren’t what they seem, I’m sure of that. I think a happy ending is in order here…..

This third book started exactly where the second finished. Never a moment that I wanted to put the book down. Only when I had to. As with the first two it also romance, drama, mystery and action that has you gripping the edge of your seat! Just like the season finale shows on tv, the author leaves us with a cliff hanger! Now, I’m going to read the fourth Volume, Kingdom of War!

Kingdom of Honor, third book in the Kingdom Journals series, picks up precisely where Kingdom of Darkness ends: a rescue mission going awry. This lose-lose situation enabled readers to witness Jude’s powers in action. Cloaking, melting metal, invisibility, and telepathy are just a few skills Jude possesses. Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, he knows martial arts too. For sure, Tricia created one badass character. The only thing I wish she would’ve created was a spell for easier traveling. That special talent would’ve saved Jude, Camille, Grady, Tyler, Janine, and others much time/aggravation/heartache/etc. However, that probably would’ve shortened the book by 100 pages so…. maybe it’s a good thing it took them a long while to find Camille.

Speaking of Camille, her character didn’t capture my interest as much as Jude’s role. I can’t exactly tell you why. On the other hand, I was hoping Helene would’ve stuck around. I liked her and saw great potential with her character and contribution to the storyline.

Now, a Kingdom book wouldn’t be a Kingdom book without a few twists. In the past, we learned who witches were descendants from and NOW….. Tricia discloses some interesting, unique facts about vampires.

Kingdom of Honor By Tricia Copeland
Each adventure bring something new to the plot of the story. I really enjoyed the Kingdom journal. I love the characters and they struggle to find who they are.
This book does end on a cliffhanger .
There’s not a great deal of violence and it doesn’t go into gory details.
There’s no corse language.
No details Sexual content. Only thing like kissing, hugging, holding hands, lying on the bed. Young love stuff.
I feel that it is suitable for young teenager as well.
I was a bit disappointed that they change the narrator, but as the story went on I knew why as it was Jude telling the story. Once I settled into the new narrator I loved the story.
I can’t wait for the next book.
I was given this book for a unbiased review.

I liked Jude's story. But again I felt like too much unimportant info and not enough meat to the story. Jude escaped and had to leave behind his lady love Camille. He must travel and endure if he is going to save her. He is on a rescue mission.

This book lost me a few times. just because it just kept going on and on. Instead of reaching the point. I needed a little more entertaining along the way. But I will say it was a lot more action than the previous two books in the series. I liked all the Characters that were introduced in this book as well as their background stories. I just needed a little bit more.

~~I received this in exchange for my honest opinion~~

Holy moly Tricia has written a book that has me needing more, like right now!! The trinity is in jeopardy. Thanatos is getting too close and things are becoming more unstable by the day. The adventures that are in this book had me not wanting to put it down at all. I think I read this book until I actually had to adult.

You need to get this book. If you haven't started the series, you need too!

Audiobook: This was my first experience with Tricia Copeland's work, and it was good. There were moments of thrilling fascination, but there were times when the characters seemed too godlike in their ability to face whatever obstacles were placed in front of them. The story was fast paced and action filled. Dan Delgado's narration was great, and his performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Good series but,

This has been a great series so far but it really slowed down for me in this book. I really want to finish it out but I feel like I might struggle with the last book because of how long it took me to get through this one. The first book really reeled me in, the second was good as well. This one slowed tremendously on the plot line

This book was awful. I hated Jude’s POV. He’s whiney and insufferable.

The last chapter was the only thing that actually progressed the storyline. Wanted to DNF but want to know how the story goes as I’ve already invested three books into the story.

This book let me down. Jude was just so frustrating for basically the entire book… he has MAJOR trust issues and while I get it, he doesn’t recognize it AT ALL.

I was planning on finishing the series but honestly, I just am not invested enough to finish. I really wanted to like this series but it’s just not hitting the spot for me right now.

Once again, this book did not disappoint! I sped through this one, all the while keeping a close eye on the evolution of the story, and how much I had left to read. At about halfway through, I knew there was going to be much more story to tell, and not as much book left. That meant there would be a book 4, and we wouldn’t have all the answers yet, but the story kept my mind so busy, that I was totally OK with it!

If you’ve read the first 2 books, you know there is a ton of detail that goes into them, and there are always a lot of players in the story – not always the same ones either. Because of this, I’m highly impressed with how much information and character evolution the author is able to get into these books without boring the reader. She doesn’t give too much description, but gives just enough to either give you the perfect idea of what is going on and/or the personality of the character, OR she gives you enough to leave you with questions about who you can trust. It is really a great balance.

Much of the great balance that gives you this point of view is that this book is written from Jude’s point of view. Keeping in mind that in many ways Jude is the newest to knowing about the prophecy, witches and vampires, and is figuring out himself what part he plays and who he trusts, it gives a very different perspective of characters we already knew and new characters we meet. I really enjoy the fact that perspectives change in each book, and we as readers try to decipher how we feel about each character.

As always, one of my favorite parts of these books is that this is not your typical story about vampires or witches. Just like us regular, boring, everyday humans, vampires aren’t necessarily the good guys or the bad guys, and witches aren’t either. It depends on the individuals. Even their diets are different – some vampires drink blood, some only eat non-processed foods, some do a little of both. It adds an entire different level to the story, as their two groups largely have an “us versus them” mentality, and the group we’ve come to love in these books is one of the few groups that feels it doesn’t have to be that way, as they all work together. I’m dying to see if/how the prophecy changes this perspective!

I really enjoyed reading this story from Jude’s perspective, and following the ever-evolving mystery of what the future holds for this group. Following the puzzle pieces they continue to find, and history they were unaware of has been a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see what happens in book 4!

I had not read the previous books before I read this one but am going back to do just that, I loved the detail and the fact that this was so well written.

I have always loved anything to do with the Trinity and what these people go through to try to keep things on the path that they are supposed to be one had me staying up late to read it from beginning to end.

Me. Copeland you have another fan!!

I must be brutally honest I did not enjoy this book as much as the other two. A good half of the book is mainly the characters discussing how to get back Camille. I also was surprised at how Alena was not acting at all like her self. She and Jude can’t seem to trust each other and she comes off as bit of a bitch. There is very little action in this book and what there is brief and not very memorable. I’m hoping the next book will return to the great stortyline as the first two in the series.

Now is audiobook format read by Dan Delgado, Kingdom of Honor finds Jude, a character we're not sure is a friend or foe, continuing the Kingdom Journals saga. Will Jude prove to be worthy of the trinity?
