I’m in over my head with these kids, but I’m all the family they have left after my sister and her husband were killed. I’m a bricklayer, what do I know about twin baby girls? Nothing. Thank God for the sweet girl-next-door. But she’s a blessing and a curse. I’ve practically moved the poor girl in to help me care for these babies, but playing house is stirring up all kinds of feelings that should never see the light of day. I know she’s got a crush on me, but what I want to do to her body would crush her innocence forever. She’s too sweet, too innocent, and way too young for a perv like me.
Cassidy
Mr. Webster is trying so hard to do the right thing and take care of everyone. But who takes care of him? I know under normal circumstances I would hardly even register on his radar, but lately, when he looks at me, I feel like there’s more between us than there should be. Maybe more than he wants. He works so hard. Provides for his nieces. Makes sure I’m a happy babysitter. But he’s so tense. So unhappy. I want to give him something. Something he wants. Something he needs. Something no man has ever had before. Me.
Author's Confession: Writing this series is like eating candy for dinner. I'm like...sorry, not sorry. Conner is the book boyfriend you want in your life. I promise. And if you ever had a crush on the DILF while babysitting, this book is for you.
Brill Harper is a pseudonym. Like…a secret identity. By day she’s Clark Kent, writing romance books for young adults and grownups. By night, she’s Brill Harper writing unfailingly filthy, yet super sweet books, that would make her alter ego blush.
She especially likes to writes book about quirky, awkward heroines and alpha bad boys. Well, except that they are really alphamallows once they fall in love. Seriously--these heroes only have one weakness, and it's sticky, sweet love. They don't let anything stand in the way of taking what belongs to them. Ooey-gooey marshmallow hearts in big, burly dominating dudes. What's not to love about that?
Brill's books are filthy/sweet for when you're in the mood for something a little over the top. Okay, a lot over the top. Sorry, not sorry.

I'm loving these blue collar, hot alpha stories! This story brings us Connor and Cassidy. An older man/younger woman story.
Connor- Connor was a great guy. He stepped up to take care of his infant twin nieces when his sister and brother in law died. He was in way over his head. Not just with the twins, but the young nanny who is keeping the family above water. He struggled with his feelings for Cassidy because she was younger (she was 18 and he was 28). A previous manwhore (per his sister) He wasn't with anyone after he came to raise the girls 6 months prior.
Cassidy - She was a great girl. She was one of those "old souls" that wasn't into the parties and boys. She was friends/neighbors with Connor's sister. While she was mature in some ways, she was trying to be what Connor needed because she had feelings for him. She knew he was a manwhore in the past from what his sister told her but my perception was she didn't see it and only met him after the sister died.
- no cheating - no ow/om drama whatsoever -older man/younger woman - hero pushes heroine away for a while because he doesn't want to take advantage of her - a couple steamy sex scenes including a brief role play - no violence - just ok epilogue 2 years out
-single Dad ( his sister died and he’s now a dad for his nieces) -Celibate H (although I was a player in the past) -Virgin h -Older man younger women -Insta lust build up to love -zero OW Drama -some pushing away -HEA with epilogue
Six months ago, Conner, nearing thirty, was enjoying his carefree life of work, women, and weekend fun, but then everything changed when his sister, Sandy, and brother-in-law were killed in an accident. Now he's struggling through his grief, while adjusting to becoming a father to his twin nieces, Ashley and Hayden. Thank goodness his sexy, err sweet young neighbor, Cassidy, is helping him through it all.
Cassidy, eighteen and attending college online, was best friend's with Sandy, and has known the girls since they were born. She's always gravitated to older people, not being interested in the same things as her peers. She's happy to help the gorgeous Mr. Webster, Conner as he insists and has essentially moved in, though she runs home next door at times.
Both Conner and Cassidy feel the attraction, though neither are aware it's mutual. But when Cassidy accidentally stumbles upon Conner taking matters into his own hands *snicker* and shouting her name as he did so, things change. Yes, they were awkward for a bit, but it also seems to have made their relationship more of a friendship, instead of professional only.
As the days pass, Conner and Cassidy yearning for what they feel they can't have, their hesitation begins to fade as they realize they both want this to happen, boundaries are crossed and claims are made.
But reality, as always, intrudes and a misunderstanding leaves both wondering what they're doing and if they're only fooling themselves. Cassidy worries that Conner may not see her as more than a good time, something Conner begins to see he hasn't given her any reason to think otherwise. He's also concerned he's taken advantage of her, robbing her of experiences someone her age should be having. As the distance between them grows, Cassidy, in self-preservation, informs Conner he needs to follow through on looking for a permanent nanny, a decision that breaks both their hearts.
However, when Conner almost loses Cassidy forever, he can't stop himself from letting her know how he feels, what he wants with her, and he doesn't care who knows. Unfortunately, her Mom cares and views their relationship as wrong for Cassidy, regardless of what Cassidy says to the contrary. But Cassidy now has more than herself to think about, and she doesn't know how Conner will take the news.
Will Conner and Cassidy continue their relationship, despite what others may think? Will Conner be happy about Cassidy's news? Or will it be too much for him on top of everything else? Is there a HEA for these two and the family they've already become?
One-click now and follow along as two people, brought together by tragic circumstances, must decide whether or not to fight for the one they want.

She’s 18 and the babysitter and he’s 28 and uncle turned guardian of his twin nieces since his sister and BIL died and the age gap plus the fact that she’s pregnant by the end of it was a real ick for me.
Enjoyed this sweet and STEAMY little read. Connor and Cassidy had fun with the whole young babysitter taboo, but they had a lot of depth too, making this a surprisingly well rounded short.
First book I’ve ever read by this author and I must say I was pleasantly surprised! This is probably the first one I’ve ever read that touched upon consent and what it actually means. Both characters were very mature and discussed how they were feeling and what they wanted before anything took place. I could feel the passion between them and I genuinely liked both of them. My own man calls me sweetness, so it was nice to hear that endearment in a book. So, I did want to point out that yes, there is a bit of dirty role play. The h admits that while she has feelings for the H and wants to be with him, her inexperience makes her nervous and so she thinks that role playing will make her feel more comfortable. They use the whole babysitter/older man scene, and it’s clearly role play. But then the H stops them in the beginning and says that he would rather it was them and not roleplaying for their first time and if she isn’t ok with that than he will stop. I liked that the author made a big deal about consent and making sure the h felt good about the situation. It clearly is a love connection between them. The scenes were hot and I enjoyed the back story. It made for a very sweet, very hot short. I look forward to the other books in this series and unless you don’t like role playing or older man younger women romance then I highly recommend this book.
I so love these reads by Brill Harper, they are quick and oh so steamy, perfect for an afternoon break or a late night read. This one about Conner and his teen babysitter, Cassidy, who may be 18 but is more mature than a teenager. They spend days and nights together after his sister dies and she becomes the live in nanny after he gets custody of the 1 year old twins. He fantasizes about her just as much as she does about him and when they finally lay all their cards on the table.....sparks, fireworks, steam....oh my. A great great steamy read and I love the fact that there are no other exes or people trying to break them up and even though Conner may have been a man wh***, there was no bragging and bringing up old conquests...refreshing. A sexy story of just the two of them as they figure out what their relationship really is since it is considered a bit cliche and taboo. I couldn't help but fall for the hot brick layer who also has a soft spot and is not afraid to tackle the responsibility of toddlers, learning to adjust and do right by them...swoon. The surprise at the end was the best and how Conner handled it and the HEA....big SIGH. Can't wait for the next Blue Collar bad boy from this author !! *I voluntarily reveiwed an ARC of this book*
I won’t recap the plot and all the details, but Ms. Harper has a way with words that had me reading this sweet, dirty gem in one sitting. It is a quick read with great pacing and the whole story I found so enticing.
Brill Harper packs in all the things I look for in a romance: plot, characters you love, romance and all the hot, sexy goodness with a satisfying ending. Her take on the sexy, single daddy romance had me laughing at one point when Cassidy breaks in on Conner watching porn on TV, and what ensues. Poor guy hasn’t had sex in months since being a daddy to his twin nieces. Loved the sexual tension between Cassidy and Conner. Laid is a great addition to the Blue Collar Bad Boys series, and I’m looking forward to the next one. Keep them coming!
I received and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I enjoyed the other books I've read by this author, I think this is like the fourth I've read. She is good at writing the short quick to a happy ever after romance that is so prevalent on amazon but this one bored me I'm afraid. There was far too much tedious inner monologue text to read through and far too much 'does she want me', 'does he want me', 'I shouldn't have her', 'I should let her go', 'he doesn't want me', 'it's best if I leave him', never ending back and forth uncertainties from both characters. I'm also disappointed to find this heroine is so insecure and lacking in confidence, which is just a carbon copy of the heroine in the last book by the author I read. The characters didn't have as much depth either.
Cassidy may be young, but she’s old enough to know her own heart. Connor may be older, but that doesn’t mean he has all the answers. The only thing he knows about their “power imbalance” is that she has all the power and he’s completely thrown off balance. What starts out as an intense physical attraction quickly becomes so much more than either of them thought possible. Lots of heart, great dialogue between the two, plenty of steamy action – and the absolute BEST safe-word ever! This is another one-click must-read from the brilliant Brill Harper. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Brill Harper's Alphamallows are my world. Her Blue Collar Bad Boys series is like your favourite treat. There is no angst, no complications and always a happy ever after. Sometimes we all need some insta-love, manly men who fall head over heels immediately and aren't scared to admit it, and dirty af fun. I will use this review for all her Blue Collar Bad Boys books because it remains the same. I have read them all, and I reread them on super stressful or bad days because it's an instant smile on my face. Support Brill and her lovely smutty books and take that mini-vacay for an hour.
I'm not too proud to admit these Blue Collar Bad Boys by Brill Harper are super sexy alpha bad boys with one intention, to get and keep the women they love. Conner's life changes forever in a blink of an eye, and Cassidy is there to help. Their story is well written, fast paced, the chemistry is intense, and has a great HEA. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!!
Surprisingly good older/younger. She's 18 (college student/neighbor) he's 28 (inherited his twin toddler nieces when his sister died). Sexy and good build up. The h was a little immature/inconsistent but at other times was mature and insightful and the H could have been a little more alpha.
But overall a good story, I would read more by this author.
A babysitter romance with real life and maturity latched to it. Sweet and real and logical. All the emotional turmoil was splendidly drawn. The plot flown smoothly. The transition of each step of the relationship was greatly described. A good read to describe the difficulties of a relationship between older H and younger h.
Dirty daddy and an innocent nanny. It's hilarious reading about a bachelor turned daddy overnight deal with the mess a baby makes, let alone two. Good thing Cassidy is familiar with the twins and they know her. The sex was hot and the book was a quick read. Loved it!!
The end really redeemed this for me. I originally had a hard time connecting to any of the characters. And I never quite liked her mom, but the end sealed the deal. I think I’m no really into the “daddy” thing.
A little taboo role playing? Check! Strong Alpha? Check! But Cassidy and Connor’s story will choke you with emotion! This is a cute, enjoyable, quick book. I’m looking forward to reading the whole series.
Cassidy has been keeping the house together and the twins ever since there parents passed away tragically. Conner doesn't know what he would do without her.
His sister and her husband dies and he moves in to take care of the twins. She was his sister best friend and she helped with the twins. After 7 months they finally get together after fighting their attraction to each other.
This was an awesome read, especially if you like the older (but not too much older) guy/babysitter dynamic. The reader could feel the chemistry between Conner and Cassidy. Loved it from start to finish. Definitely recommend.
Loved Cassidy and Conner. Conner is such a sweet guy who realizes that his old ways are not what he really wants when he meets her and learns that he has to raise his two nieces. She may be younger, but she's the glue in their little family. Such a sweet read.
Conner is hot! He tried to resist, but Cassidy would have none of it! You do not want to miss this sweet, (yes, sweet!!!) and very sexy book! Another winner!
