Building: A Love Story

Rate this book
Alan Evers and Jessica Fielding are two people who have always had difficulty finding what they were looking for in romantic life...until they found each other.
Alan spent his youth searching for a relationship with depth and support, but found only tenuous, temporary connections. After an unplanned major change in his life, it seemed he even lost the ability to find those fleeting, superficial attachments.
Jessica had heard, 'You're not like other girls,' enough times to believe it, and she always understood that statement as an accusation instead of an accolade. After a lifetime of constantly feeling like an outsider, and more than a decade of failure in finding love, she'd given up trying to assimilate, and settled for spinsterhood.
Building is the story of two people who felt that being a stand out was less than outstanding; who felt too different to be loved, finally finding the ease and contentment in romantic love that they both deserved.

I loved "Building: A Love Story". A sweet slow burn romance with both hero and heroine their own people and not willing to settle for someone not right.
Adam is the grown up version of Jake Ryan, wanting someone true and deep, not just any pretty superficial woman. After a heroic Amry injury, he has given up on finding someone.
Jessica is a brillant woman working in a male dominant field and has consistently been put into the friend zone by her onetime only dates. She has resolved to becoming a spinster.
They are unknowingly set up by a mutal friend, and slowly find they perfectly compliment each other.

Lovely!

Loved this book! A true love story. Loved that Jess and Alan became friends before sleeping together. So many books I've read recently have the main characters sleeping on the first date. I loved the buildup to a great love story. Their first romantic encounter made me cry. So beautiful. Hope the author is working on book #2! I'm ready. 💞
