I am loving Milly Taiden!! She is giving me the shifter alpha male and females that make me swoon, fan myself, and fall in love with. In this story you have Zuri who got divorced after 10 years of marriage and illness only to be roped into a shifter party by her mother. Savage is the alpha bear shifter of the mountain in Zuri's town and reluctantly attends the same party. As most shifter stories go he scents her as his mate and she freaks out when a psycho tries to interfere but in the end things get worked out. This was a fun, sexy, sweet, swoony ride that I was glad to take. I am looking forward to reading the stories about Zuri's sisters as well.

Zuri is an almost forty-year-old divorcee, and, to hear her mom telling it, is wasting away while impersonating a hermit. Her mom wants grandbabies and is determined to make that happen, regardless of what Zuri says. So, as moms do, she interferes, err helps, and snags an invitation for Zuri to the shifter ball, where, if her mom has her way, Zuri will meet a man, fall in love, and become pregnant before the night is over. No pressure, right?
Savage doesn't like parties, fancy food, or most people, honestly, but, when one of the few he does, his friend the sheriff, asks for a favor to provide security to a fancy shindig, Sav agrees, with a grumble.
These decisions will be the catalyst to changes neither could've ever expected. Sav, a bear shifter, knows immediately that Zuri is his mate. His bear knows it too, but, as Sav is unable to control him after that discovery, he takes his honey and makes a break for it.
Zuri cannot believe the sexy, err crazy, man kidnapped her. She is never letting her mom be in charge ever again. And he's claiming she's his mate? They have nothing in common. How can she be the perfect woman for him? Well, they are more than compatible in one way, and hey, maybe their differences are a good thing. But, as the two begin falling in love, not everyone is happy about their growing bond, and the person responsible for the recent female disappearances may be closer than they think.

Savage is definitely my new favorite hot bear.. He was not expecting to find his mate his whole world was turned upside down and he lived up to his name acting like a beast.. Zuri was trying to find herself and live again after her marriage ended after 10 years and she was lost. She did not expect to become the obsession of a bear who insisted they belong together and she was his.. But he proves he loves her and will do anything to make her happy and protect her... Absolutely loved this story and Savage...

Milly's books as so much feeling and character, her talent just shines through. She makes creating a world and personalities look easy. Her books are always fun to read.
A life lesson don't lose yourself, don't loose the who you are and if you change make sure the change if what you want.
Years of love and devotion washed down the drain, what's left for her is to jump from job to job not happy with anything especially with her life. Zuri soaked herself into cooking and has a talent for it, she keeps so busy no other thoughts can filter in.
my Bears will bust their butts or find another job, Savage made sure any of his clan worked for him knew that, no easy ride found here. His way too long booty call getting possessive and that was all she was to him, she doesn't seem to get the picture.
Finding oneself Zuri and Savage - human and shifter - They've molded themselves into what they think they want, but there is still a piece of the puzzle missing. A mystery is at foot, sisterly love and mommy just wants to help stirred in with some very hot yummy scenes. Grab this book I recommend it. Enjoy.

Milly has always been one of my fav quick fixes. Her book are short and sweet but pack a mean punch and boy is this one is no different.
Super sweet, fiesty and freaking hot to boot. This shifter romance hit all the right spots. Savage is a crazy possessive alpha asshole with a sweet swoon worthy side that makes him one big delicious slice of goodness.
Zuri a sweet sexy sassy lady who's lost a bit of confidence in herself just needed a little nudge to a shifter ball to find her happy again. She had balls of steal and a heart of gold and I loved her for Savage they just seemed to balance eachother perfectly.
There's a slew of crazy side characters getting up to all kinds of hilariously dysfunctional happenings. Of course there are some serious steamy times and and an all round great connection between the characters. The story is short but had everything you could want and need packed into it. I loved it all and cannot wait for what's next.

Oh holy hotness Savage bear indeed.
I absolutely loved this book. This is Zuri and Savage's story and oh my sexy bear what a story. Zuri has not had a date since her divorce a year ago. Having ones heart broke will due that to a girl. When Zuri finds out her mom got her an invite to the shifters mating party she kind of freaks. Savage doesn't do parties but when his bestie asks him to help with security that he can do. When he smells his mate his bear goes well savage he kinda maybe kidnaps her a little. Zuri doesn't no what to think when this gorgeous sexy a sin man just literally throws her over his shoulder and runs. Savage knows without a doubt Zuri is his but when a wanna be tries to come between them Zuri has doubts. When danger comes for Zuri will Sav be able to get to her in time? I loved these characters I can't wait to see more from them.

Savage is a Bear Clan alpha that is constantly hounded to find a mate and settle down.
Zuri’s mother signs her up for the Shifter Mate Gathering trying to get her out of her funk and find a mate.
I absolutely love that Zuri is a divorcee and not been waiting around for her shifter mate etc.
Zuri and Savage are fantastic together and I absolutely love the dirty talking but I also love that Savage pulls out all the stops for there first date, even going so far as to get intel on Zuri from her family.

One hot, alpha bear, one curvy human with low self-esteem= one steamy romance. Slightly over-used plot line. Mr. Bear had dumped the gorgeous bear shifter lady he was dating because she was more female dog than bear, plus they weren't mates and he knew it. He meets his human mate and is in instant lust/love. But the ex just has to cause trouble.
However, it was well written, humorous, with good characters and hot, hot sex (with enough dirty talk to make a hooker blush)
All in all a good read.

I put off reading this series. Not sure why but I thought I'll start on this book 1 and see if I dig it. I really liked most of it. I do feel it was really rushed at the end. It started out great but then kinda started to decline a smidge about the middle to the end. I liked both Zuri and Savage. Who wouldnt want him to carry you up his mountain over his shoulder? Ha. It was sweet in parts and I did like it but at the end a little disappointed in how rushed it felt.

Awesome start to the series. Zuri and Savage are a match made in heaven for me. They come together is a interesting way and have to find their way to each others heart. Oh and Bear Shifters are the best. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of this book.

This was cute. I'm definitely going to keep up with the series. The only complaint I have is I wish they would have explained how Zuri shifted. Is it cause Savage mated her??

Start of a new series.
This was really good, and will have you hooked at the beginning.
A little of underlying danger, but way more romance between Savage and Zuri.
I loved that Zuri was never afraid at any point in the story. She just went along with her "new Life".

I enjoyed this story. It's a good, too short read, but I loved Sav and his devotion to Zuri. Will watch for the other books in the series.

While Milly Taiden is not one of my favorite go-to must-reads for SPN Romances, I usually enjoy her more than this one. This one was over the top and ridiculous and under-developed and rushed, and as a result just felt kinda flat and under-whelming.
The insta-love was ridiculous. I'm usually a little more lenient for insta-love stories when it comes to SPN romances, because you have that magical element inherent to the whole premise. I can buy the insta-love a little more when there's some magic involved, I suppose. Here, Sav grabs her at the party - literally with almost no words spoken - and carries her for half an hour (by foot!) up a mountain to his cabin. And after all this, she's totally ready to have hot wild animal sex with him all night? It was weird and uncomfortable for me, and their connection just never rang true (probably as a result).
Overall, actually, the sex scenes were over the top. Plain and simple. For someone who just met and were introducing themselves as they were tearing each other's clothes off, there was a lot of aggressive dirty talk. I ended up skimming more than usual in those scenes.
Even when Sav was trying to be sweet and date her, it felt weird. Their date... how long was this day?? Any one of those activities could have been an afternoon to a full day event, but he squeezed them all into one single day! Is one of his supernatural abilities the power to bend time??
And then there was the ending. So much thrown together and blended and ending up with a "what the heck just happened?!?!?!" sort of feeling. Did I miss the part when it was explained she'd turn into a shifter? Or that it would happen at exactly the most convenient moment possible? Did Sav know and never told her as he literally caused her to change her species without permission? And how did Greer come to factor so significantly into all of this? It felt like a really weird leap to go from Mean Girl rival mate to orchestrating kidnappings.
Monica. What the actual heck. "I was cheating with your husband while you were still married, and now am feeling guilty and acting like your best friend". And "ruined your life" because Zuri wasn't remarried in under a year??? Sorry, infidelity is an emotional shredder - building self-esteem and trust back up may take a little longer than a year to be at the point where you tie yourself to another permanently. But for someone who obviously values and respected marriage as much as Monica did, maybe she wouldn't understand. I suppose the scene was written in to show how much Zuri had grown and was now valuing Sav's presence in her life, but I just wanted to scream through the entire thing.
And yet, I did like Zuri coming out of her shell. Her emotions did ring true a lot of the time.
Alternating 3rd person POV. Some OW drama, though no cheating or love triangle nonsense (whatever other issues insta-love has, there's usually no cheating, so there's that!). Horrible side characters (Zuri's mother??? Monica?????), flat character development, rushed events, and an ending left the story as a whole feeling pretty disappointing. At least it wasn't a cliffhanger on top of everything else - Sav and Zuri do get their HEA.
Will I read more? Like I said, I usually enjoy her, so yeah, I'll probably read more in this series and by this author. I'll stick to getting her books as free finds though, because I'd've been irritated if I'd spent money on this one.

Savage Bite is the first book in the new Savage Shifters series & if the initial entry is any indication, this is going to be a great series.
Savage McKane is a successful businessman, the alpha of his clan & hasn't found his mate yet. He's known for being difficult to please & most would say his name fits him. He's not really interested in going to the Shifter Mate Gathering but when his friend, the local sheriff, asks for his help with security, Savage agrees to help out. He never expected to find his true mate there but once he senses her, his bear tries to take over. Next thing he knows he's throwing her over his shoulder & running.
Zuri Primrose did not want to go to the shifter ball, but her mother has other ideas. Zuri is closing in on 40 so she thinks that Zuri needs to move on from her divorce & start fresh. She gets Zuri invited to the mating event in the hopes of future grandchildren. Zuri figured she'd go, mingle for a bit & see what happened. She never expect a tall, handsome & growly shifter to pick her up & carry her off.
But there are problems in Full Moon Bay. Human women are disappearing & the sheriff hasn't had any luck finding them. Savage needs to protect his new mate & help his friend discover who's behind the disappearances, but will they stop them in time?
This story is following what seems to be a new trend of featuring more mature main characters. This is definitely a trend I like since I'm past middle age myself. The main characters here are approaching middle age & I love how Ms Taiden handles their problems. She seems to have a handle on the kind of challenges facing her characters. All in all this is a really good story for a relaxing evening.

A nice read
A lovely read with some naughty scenes, would have liked more of a story as it was very to the point but enjoyed it nonetheless.
Zuri is a sassy woman who for over a year hasn't been with anyone after her divorce from her Ex more than a year ago, even though she stuck by him when he suffer from cancer. But one day after receiving an invitation she wants to kill her mother, as she finds out she signed her up for the shifter mates ball. And being that Zuri is human she doesn't think it's the best of ideas but with persuading from her two sisters as well as a mother who has her own reasons for wanting her to go (aka she wants ground babies) Zuri takes the plunge and goes for it. Once discovering that he's found his mate he just picks her up, throws her over his shoulder and runs all the way home so that he can have his mate and make her his. Throwing in a bit of kidnapping, rivalry, jealousy, love, lust and possession. This puts everything that makes shifters who they are into a nice little package showing that anyone can find their mate and that once they found they will never be lonely again. This is a quick read that you can enjoy just before bed or in the middle of doing chores it's very light and cute with some delicious parts thrown in. A good book
A lovely read with some naughty scenes, would have liked more of a story as it was very to the point but enjoyed it nonetheless.

I have been on a Milly Taiden rampage lately and have been loving it. The thing I found particularly interesting about this book is that Zuri is able to shift after being bitten. That's only happened two other times in all of the Taiden books I've read, and both were with alpha wolf triads. Never had anyone other than the mate of a wolf changed in the first 12 books of the Paranormal Dating Agency series, the first 6 books of the Fur-ocious Lust series, or in Alpha Bet (no series). It's something I've wondered about on many occasions and I was excited to see it happen in this book. It just makes me curious why only two of the wolf triads in the PDA series created a human female mate able to shift and none of the other matings. I'm super curious to see if this phenomenon continues in the next books in the series, Savage Kiss and Savage Hunger. I can't wait to find out! (This book is HEA with no cliffhanger. It can be read as a stand-alone.)

Another good one from this author. What a treat to have a mature female character find her love.
Her life didn't exactly go as planned. The marriage Zuri worked so hard for ended in divorce a year earlier. Her family's persistence to bring her out of her alone status puts her in a shifter's dating ball. Little did she think her evening would end in the bed of a sexy bear shifter after a treck up his mountain over his shoulder.
There were certain aspects of the night she couldn't object to. The man was hot and knew how to take care of a woman in the bedroom. But, she didn't do one night stands. She didn't do guys she didn't know. Well, maybe this was the exception. When he started talking mate and forever she needed to back up. But Savage had no intention of letting his mate go. He didn't think he'd find her. Zuri was his and he was keeping her.
This guy, big, hot, in charge of his clan, wanted to take care of her. Who would have thought he'd be such a romantic. If only there were more around like him. Could he convince her to stay with him? To be his mate? Could he keep her safe from the danger around them?
I read this with Kindle Unlimited. It's a keeper. I'm going to buy now.

A wonderful new series!!! Zuri gets signed up for the shifter mating gathering by her grandchild hungry mother even though she is a human. She's been in a rut since her divorce and decides to go, what's the worse that could happen? Savage is the bear clan leader and is over female drama, he dumped the woman he was seeing after realizing she thought she could manipulate and run the clan though him. He agrees to go to the gathering as extra security since there has been a rash of unsolved disappearances and while there, he finds Zuri, his mate. Everything is happening so fast, Zuri isn't sure she can trust what she is feeling or when Savage says this is forever, she's already been burned and this would hurt a lot worse if it turns out to be a lie. This new series is awesome, I loved Zuri's family and how they teased each other and I absolutely loved how Savage put everything out on the line to prove what Zuri meant to him. I can't wait to see Zuri's sisters mated off :)

This is one heck of a hot adventure romance with a steam level that is off the charts! But it is steam powered by intense love and the desire one man has to please his woman in every way. The love that Savage has for Zuri brings her out of the funk she's been in since her divorce from a man to whom she'd been devoted, but who didn't give a care about her. She was demoralized and retreated from life. But this hulking, larger than life Alpha makes her feel valued and wanted, and can't we all identify with that need? Don't I hope that everyone, but particularly every nurturing woman, could feel that someone held them in that regard. The incomparable Milly Taiden gives us a glimpse into that kind of love so that we, too, can feel the joy and liberation that is Zuri's. This is a fast, feel good read that you deserve to enjoy. Can't wait for the rest of the series.

So, Sav ran through the hall cuz he couldn't get that scent out his nose...He knew she even she had last touched herself in the shower an hour ago and he wanted to do the honors...Zuri never expected to be swept up off her feet and taken to the top of a mountain by the gorgeous Savage McKane. This relationship was serendipity of you ask me. I love how he went out his way to prove to her he was in it for the long haul. Mates for life. Zuri had to show Greer that Sav was her man . But with all the human women being abducted and forces coming against them they were fighting against time and an enemy unknown and then the enemy comes for Zuri. You need to see what happens...family sticks together.
