Bree Rogers, a character who has shown up in the other Lost Coast Harbor novels and has been such an enigma finally has her own story and it is a great one. Bree is a hacker/computer programmer for hire who hides out in her cabin in the woods and avoids most people except her two friends. Then her ex comes back to town and reveals to everyone that he is her ex-husband shocking everyone. Marcus Keller was a billionaire CEO of a dating app company and for some reason she couldn’t fathom, he had moved back to Lost Coast Harbor. Except he had a hacker problem ruining his business and he needed the best internet security expert to help him out. That meant Bree.
This book is full of mystery and reveals so much about Bree and her past and why she is the way she is. Every page was juicier than the last. The connection between two young lovers, too young to make a marriage work but perfect for each other, now grown up and scarred by their pasts was sizzling. I can’t say enough about this book. I think it might be the best Lost Coast Harbor novel yet and I hope there are more. This is a must read. It can be read as a stand-alone but you will want to read them all. This book was so good I couldn't put it down and read it in one day.

Computer geeks will love this romantic suspense thriller but rest-assured, you don't have to be well versed in code to enjoy this really well written and super sexy read. Marcus and Bree grew up together in Lost Coast Harbor and their brilliant minds made them rivals who impulsively married and quickly divorced. Now ten years later, Marcus has moved his successful business back to Lost Coast Harbor and Bree is way outside her comfort zone when he asks her to use her code writing skills to counteract a disastrous data breach. This is a smart and fast paced storyline reminiscent of the movie, "The Net", that exposes the deep divide between Marcus and Bree as well as the mastermind behind the suspicious events that threaten to destroy everything Marcus has worked for. Will Bree find the courage to confess a secret that contributed to their breakup or will she continue to keep Marcus in the dark and lose her chance at a normal life? Get ready for a thrilling roller coaster ride you won't soon forget. I read a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

Intense, intriguing and intrinsically wonderful – this is a winning story in every way!

I loved the story of Bree and Marcus! Both are grownup geek nerds that are attracted to one another and given second chance at love. The question is whether or not they will be able to open up enough to one another, listen and actually hear what the is being said so that they can create a future together.

In addition to the romance there is a mystery to solve, secrets to share, growth to be made and an eventual HEA that made me oh so very happy. I can’t wait to read the next book and look forward to finding out who will have their story told next. Lost Coast Harbor is a place I think I could be very very happy!

Thank you to the author for the copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Sins of her Past is touching, thoughtful, and hilarious. Bree has always been bada$$, but now she has a heart. And it once and maybe always belongs to Marcus. Marcus comes in pretty bada$$ himself, thinking he's prepared to face his evil ex-wife. But nothing goes as either of them plan.

As a self proclaimed geek, marvel girl, and Treky, his book touched a special cord. The fact that Bree has other problems adds more depth to the story. The town of Lost Coast Harbor also plays a big part in the storyline, as always, but I'm happier for the visit.

Some books just resonate with you...this is one

At first I thought this book would be another book that followed the same trope of second chance romance when I was pleasantly surprised I couldn't put the book down. Lily Danes does such a great job at portraying these two very strong stubborn and lonely characters. Their love story has a twist that I never saw coming.

Bree has herself in a giant bubble that she won't let anyone penetrate even her brother. She is this wicked smart programmer that can't leave her house. She won't let herself love Marcus or give their past together a passing thought. Bree was able to do this till he moved back to town. Now what?

Marcus is so adorable. He is such a geek but he has loved Bree since they were in grade 9. That kind of takes commitment and dedication. Both of which Marcus has in spades.

I loved reading the back and forth between Marcus and Bree. The fighting was adorable and make the story so much better. Their flirting was so geeky that it made me love their characters that much more. Danes which knows how to write characters that are different than most characters written today.

I'm excited that I have the first 4 in the series to read now. I do hope that there is a boom written for Rae.

Bree keeps to herself doesn't share everything with her friends and family and has a life that keeps her where she wants to be. There is no pressure on her to go out or to do anything outside of her realm. That is until her ex Marcus Keller shows up in Lost Coast Harbor.
He can upset her whole world. Only a few people in her world even know they had a past, but know the truth is going to come out.
When he needs help with her company she is the only one who can help him. On the other hand he is the only one who can help her push forward in her life.

I love second chances. I also loved the Lost Coast Harbor series every book just get better and better.

Bree is such a relatable character. She suffers from anxiety and prefers indoors over stirring outdoors (also has agoraphobia). I love that it's Bree that is vulnerable and Marcus has to learn the ways of Bree (LOL). Several romance novels that I've read with the male lead that has some form of mental health trouble in which the female lead is the one that he depends on.
The suspense kinda just swanned through the last parts of the book but it's a nice wrap-up.
The series could use more books! Would love to see a bunch of characters get their own stories.
I like how the leads like rival comic book companies, DC (Marcus) x Marvel (Bree).

Although I enjoyed this book, I have so many mixed feelings about it. I think it is a great addition to the Lost Coast Harbor series. Being somewhat of a geek myself, I loved the entire tech them to the story. The sexual tension was high. The sex was steamy. I really wanted Marcus and Bree to get back together.

The one thing that got me was the rollercoaster ride of Marcus and Bree's relationship. It wasn't exactly a love/hate situation, but it felt more like a push/pull situation. Pull me closer, push me away. I really admired Marcus' tenacity, but at first, I wasn't completely sure if he was looking for answers, trying to prove a point, really loved Bree, or all of the above.

As I read further in the book, I realized they were two people in pain. Both with issues that they needed to work through. I also realized as I was writing this review, that all of my mixed feelings had to do with Bree. I know why she behaved like she did, but to be honest, I often found it irritating.

Overall, I did enjoy my visit to Lost Coast Harbor, and can't wait to return.

Bree has always been smart and one step ahead, but she has been hiding the fragile she'll she is barley holding together. When her ex returns she is in more risk of everything crumbling around her.
When Marcus returns to Lost Coast Harbor he is trying to prove he made it big. But being home has proven to throw challenge after challenge his was. Turn to help from the one person he craved.
Marcus grew up in Lost Coast Harbor while away at college with the help of his best friends managed to create a successful business and made a name for himself. When he was at a crossroad with the company he decides that relocating the company back to his home town. Now he is trying to get things going while going public with his company.
Will loving back home be the best thing for Marcus and his company? Will Marcus and Bree be able to handle living in the same town? Or will their past be to hard to over come?
Sins of Her Past is book five of the Lost Coast Harbor Series, although it is part of a series it is a standalone book. Each book builds on the characters in the town and you get to see more one on one with that books highlighted couple.

I loved this story. The characters were complex and so human, and Rae and Marcus had some serious chemistry as well as a wicked sense of humor. When Rae reprogrammed all of the switches in his apartment so nothing made sense, I couldn't stop laughing. When Marcus got his revenge, it was perfect. They were the perfect couple! It just took them awhile to realize it.

Both Rae and Marcus had issues and each of them needed to grow and recognize their unhelpful patterns of behavior so that they could work on changing them. Acknowledging their imperfections to one another was the first step towards healing past hurts and starting anew. I don't need to write a synopsis of the story. Suffice to say, it was extremely will-written, the plot was irresistible, and the characters were memorable. I highly recommend it!

One of my favorite tropes is the second chance romance. I love how lost loves can overcome whatever separated them to find their way back to each other. Lily Danes did not disappoint with Marcus and Bree's story in Sins of Her Past. I loved these two characters and could feel all the hurt and love that they both experienced. This story had a very unique plot line and a natural feel to the history and progression of their relationship. There was nothing contrived about it. Throw in a bit of mystery and sabotage to bring them back together, and you have an excellent book. I also loved all the tech stuff and Bree's virtual reality project. Oh, and let's not forget the heat that Lily brings to this book. Very well done!

I just love the Lost Coast Harbor Series! This is book #5, but can be read as a stand alone. This is a hot, steamy, sexy read with mystery and suspense and a cast of great characters. I loved finally getting to read Bree's story. Bree has her issues, but she is also such a strong and determined woman. I loved her and Marcus reuniting and finding out the spark was still there. Such a great second chance romance with a great HEA ending. Can't wait for the next book in the series. Received ARC from author for honest review.

Bree projects exactly what she wants to project. No one sees the person she is inside. But when Marcus returns, he is the one person who can get past Bree's carefully protected shell. Marcus wants Bree just as much as he did when they were married. He doesn't know if he can trust her not to walk away again. But his heart wants what it wants, so he puts it all one the line for her. Can they get through their past issues? Can they survive the secrets? Bree and Marcus are perfect together! I loved this story! I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Bree and Marcus' story is complicated by tragic things that happened in their lives that were not communicated to each other. The storyline is suspenseful and interesting. Bree's anxiety disorder and Marcus' impending IPO of his successful company were very topical and kept my interest throughout. Bree was engaging and fun despite the complication of her anxiety. This was another good standalone novel in the Lost Coast Harbor series.

This story has suspense, all sorts of secrets and steamy romance. I was pulled in. Bree is smart, strong and successful. Marcus returns home to show his hometown how successful he's has become. When Bree and Marcus see each again the attraction is stronger than ever and sparks fly. Can they get past their differences so they can have a future? Can they work together and repair the damages they have caused and suffered. This is a great read. Received copy for honest review.
