I’m the clumsy nerd who always seems to come out last. Except back in high school, when I came out first and became the only (known) gay kid in school for a hot minute. Our small town loved that.

I love this little story, enough that I want to unread it so that I can rediscover all over again. I need more Leo and Declan!

August 25, 2024Slightly updated cover (literally just added more blue and some hearts lol) and added a few new chapters to the story, particularly the argument scene near the climax. I'm writing a sequel to this right now which will also be available free on Wattpad.

vol 2 is longer and titled 'Under His Watch' and the cover is super pretty! It's pure gay fluff so far and it's set three years into the future so you can see how things have worked out for Leo and Declan as boyfriends.

A touching tale, two friends, longtime friends, one gay, one straight, love for his straight friend makes Leo's heart hurt. Declan knows his feelings but chooses to ignore it which hurts Leo even more as he watches girlfriends come and go. A lovely, if not painful read, I always enjoy best friends stories. A new author for me, a fellow Canadian who writes under two names, I need to read more.
