Laurelin Paige plus Sierra Simone - that's like an orgasm waiting to happen!
I had idea's of what I was going to get with Porn Star... but holy cow have Laurelin and Sierra suprised me! This book is about so much more than a hot porn star. It's about life, and feelings, and love, and sacrifice. I am completely in love with Logan O'Toole. Not because he's a hot piece of ass.. but because he has a big, huge... heart. HEART people! Get your mind out of the gutter! Logan is special. He cares. He's like the boy next door who accidentally became famous because he fucks like a rock star.
There's a bit of a role reversal going on here... Logan is the feeler and Devi is the thinker. I loved Devi because even though she lived in her head, she still let her heart take over. But she wasn't so naive or blinded by Logan to not have self-respect and to stand up for what she thought was right, what she needed.
Logan and Devi are something else when they appear on the page together .... prepare for your heart to melt and your kindle to go up in flames!

Porn Star is what book dreams are made of and so much more!!!!! This book had me swooning, sweating, panting and taking notes!! Such as cervical orgasms. Yes. I googled this. The things I learned lol!!
When you see a book titled Porn Star, all kinds of hot and dirty things flash through your mind. And yes, all those things happen in the book, there is also so much more. There is a real love story. Logan O’Toole is seriously one of the sweetest and dirtiest of book boyfriends. He’s the perfect combination of absolute perfection!! And then you pair him with his free spirited co-star, well…he is a man that will be brought to his knees. In more ways than one!
What can I say about Devi Dare. Other than she’s simply amazing!! Strong, independent, sexy. She’s a woman that is comfortable in her own skin and she freaking owns it!! She’s a breath of fresh air!
So what happens when these two start filming together??? When lines start blurring. When feelings have developed. Will they be able to separate real life from camera life? What happens when push comes to shove?? You will have to just read to find out!!
When I first learned that two of my very favorite people were joining forces to write this book, I was just a little excited!! I wanted to tell everyone but I couldn’t. That was the hardest part lol!! Other than waiting to read it. And from the beginning to the end, I was completely captivated. These two ladies write amazing books. This we all know. But them writing a book together…it’s like a book of explosive epicness!!! You can also tell that they did their research on the porn industry. I loved learning of the behind the scenes stuff. It gave me a more appreciation for the industry.

However good you think that this is going to be...IT'S BETTER! Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone have come together and created something so hilarious and incredibly sexy! I couldn't put this baby down! From the moment I heard that two of my favorite authors were going to come together to write a story, I was ECSTATIC! I was stalking their Facebook pages to find out anything I could about this upcoming project! When I heard the title, I FLIPPED OUT! I just knew...I JUST KNEW that it would be an EPIC read! How can you go wrong with Laurelin Paige, Sierra Simone, and Porn Star on the cover of a book? The answer is...YOU CAN'T!

These two authors are as phenomenal together as they are apart. Their writing styles mesh so well together, that the book just flows so nicely. It's sexy, absolutely hilarious, and packed with so much heart! I devoured this in one sitting, and I can guarantee that you will do the same. Nice job ladies! Here's to many more books written together and apart!

So two things…
Are Pornies a thing? Ya know, like Trekkies but only the fandom is Porn? I’m asking for a friend…
Totally unrelated… Who wants to start a brand new LARPing group?
Logan O’ Toole has a pretty good life. He’s got the face of an angel, the body of a god, the cock of the devil and he fucks like a demon. So what if his girlfriend ripped out his heart three months ago? So what if he’s obsessed with a girl he worked with once? The dude gets paid to fuck for a living and he gets paid a reasonable amount of money to endure this hardship. Besides, he’s about to do something revolutionary and if he can get Devi Dare to agree to do it with him things could only get better. Right? Except Devi is so beautiful and she’s so full of life and her brain makes his brain melt. And his resolve. And his heart and… actually the only thing that doesn’t melt in her presence is his hard-on.
Devi only does F/F scenes but when she runs into Logan during an industry party her feelings only grow and so when he approaches her with a new project she’s tempted to make the cross into HET porn. She trusts him and the project is ground-breaking and she’s a professional who can totally separate her personal feelings from her job. Right? Except Devi has been hiding a secret crush on Logan for three long years and it’s really difficult not to be drawn in by his ambition and his massive h…eart.
I was expecting was a rom-com filled with angst and hot sex. And yes, it was all of those things in flashing neon XXX lights; but above all that, Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone delivered a book that is unexpectedly touching and very smart. These two geniuses not only wrote a sex positive book filled with great commentary on feminism and references to contemporary issues surrounding the porn industry (which made me feel unbelievably clever because I understood them) but also an impossibly sweet and complex romance.
Logan and Devi are two wholly loveable characters. Where Logan is self-assured and ambitions and lives his life led by his heart, Devi is young and unsure of her future and constantly living in her head yet she is strong and self-assured. The romance that developed between them is a slow burn that is filled with innocence, angst and uncertainty and a sexual tension that was nothing short of delicious torture. Surprising, no? But again, genius authors.
When the sexy times finally did happen, it was as erotic as it was beautiful. Yes, I did just use the word beautiful to describe sex between two porn stars. The sensory descriptions, the locations, the sweet, sweet torture of uncertainty, the snapping of delicate control and the dirty filthy words made the sex extremely hot and erotic but the beauty came from the exploration of raw emotion. Their infatuation played out so wonderfully that I forgot I was reading about two seasoned porn veterans and instead it felt as though I was reading about two people falling in love for the very first time. When the infatuation escalated towards obsession and passion, the outcome was powerful.
All in all this book was HAWT but it is also hilarious, a wonderfully sweet romance and a story about two very real people navigating life and love and sacrifice.

Quick witted, seductive and erotic, Porn Star will flood your mind with all of those delicious x-rated thoughts and have your sides splitting from the fresh and dirty humor. My mind has been in the gutter for days now!
These characters had great depth. It was more than a book about porn stars and their vocation. While you get plenty of the down and dirty deets, Porn Star fills your mind with philosophical quotes, dirty jokes, and a great love story. Finding one’s true meaning is hard to do, and Paige and Simone tell a tale of just that while weaving in the kink and hilarity we have come to love from this dynamic duo. I just couldn’t get enough.
I love when authors give you strong secondary characters. They add another level to the main characters and really make the story come to life. I am so in love with Devi’s parents. I want to go to dinner with them. They are a blast!
Porn Star is more than you expect and everything you ever hoped for in an author pairing of this magnitude. Individually, these authors will wow your socks off—together they will blow your mind, hard-core. ;)
This story was well organized, fresh and wonderfully executed. I smell another hit coming their way! Keep up the great work ladies. I hope you work together again...and soon!

I am not ashamed to say this, but I want my very own porn star if he's anything like Logan O'Toole! Cause, WHOA!...
Porn Star took me completely by surprise! I was expected a hot and steamy sex-fest of a story, but what I read was WAY more than that. Don't get me wrong, the story was HAWT!...but it also packed a punch full of raw emotions and feelings that not only got my heart rate up, but made me swoon all over the place!
Logan O'Toole had the perfect life. Or so he thought. He made a living off of having sex on camera daily, and with some of the hottest women he's ever met. What more could he want? Love. That's what he wanted. After his 3 year relationship with a fellow porn star ended with her up and leaving him without so much as a goodbye, Logan is hesitant to get back into the romance scene. Another broken heart is NOT what he wants again. But after a chance run in with the gorgeous Devi Dare (his secret crush), Logan is willing to risk his heart all over again, just to be able to make her his!
The progression and uniqueness of the story was spot on! Logan and Devi were so in sync with each other, but on the other hand, in completely different stages in their lives. I was cheering for them, handing out mental high-fives for some amazing chemistry, and dishing out some throat and nut punches to some not so savory characters...seriously.
Porn Star has it all: comedy, lust, heartbreak, insecurities, romance and about as much drama as a daytime soap! Laurelin and Sierra....I. Want. More! 5 Spicy Stars!

I can't believe that I'm about to say what I'm going to say....but...
this was just too porn-y for me.
I know! I actually checked outside for flying pigs when I wrote this. I'm shocked myself.
This was a sexy little romp of a book; pun most definitely intended. But it's just sadly not my cuppa. I've read quite a few books with porn star heroes and enjoyed them immensely, but this one was different. Perhaps because he kept on keeping on with his career even after deciding he wanted the heroine? Perhaps the heroine also being in the porn biz was too much for me? Perhaps because he was still hung up on his ex in the beginning and still thought of her when he meets the heroine for the second time and I just didn't buy their connection? Perhaps all those reasons combined are the why's of it not working for me.
There wasn't anything wrong with the book or the writing, it really was just me. This was a clear case of me and not the book if ever there was one. I love these authors and I think this one will be an entertaining and smutty read to hit the spot for many a reader. I suppose it just wasn't for me.
No rating since I never did finish. Perhaps I'll return to it eventually, but for right now, I'm just not feeling it. Ah well. Can't love them all, right?

This was one helluva SCORCHING HOT read. I don’t know why I thought it was going to be like a RomCom. I was completely off base on this one. There was a plethora of sex to be had within the pages of this book and for a brief while, I worried that this was going to be a pure smut fest with very little story. Don’t get me wrong, because I enjoy the schmexy times in a story but I also like a good plot to go along with it, and this one definitely ended up having a good story line that had me foregoing a little sleep last night, as I was dying to get to the end to see how it all turned out.
Logan O’Toole is the biggest star in the porn industry. He also has his own production company and films his own movies. He’s a very charming guy and all of his co-stars love working with him. He LOVES his job and he absolutely loves SEX. But Logan has had his heart broken by his girlfriend of three years. She just moved out of their home and took their dog with her, without any warning or explanation. It’s been several months since the break-up and Logan is just starting to come out from hiding. He gets invited to a party that’s being thrown by a really huge production company and happens to run into a woman that he has had a secret crush on for over three years. Devi Dare was his co-star in a menage film that he and his ex-girlfriend also starred in, and ever since she has been the star of many of his secret fantasies. Little does he know that Devi has shared the same feelings for Logan as well.
They end up working on a project that Logan has developed. An adult reality show that focuses on a couple just starting to date and then follows them through the progression of their relationship over a six-week period. As they spend more time together and become physically intimate, lines begin to blur between the professional and personal. Can Logan and Devi’s relationship thrive while the two still remain in the porn industry and make movies with other porn stars???
I loved Logan because although he really loved being a porn star and enjoyed having sex with women, he genuinely wanted to find true love with just one special woman. He was older than Devi and more experienced, but I found him to be the naïve one in the relationship. He definitely melted my heart. Devi was such an adorable heroine with some seriously quirky parents.
I found myself getting sucked into this story and towards the end it became unputdownable for me. I also thought that the combined writing efforts between Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone were pretty seamless. I hope that they will work together again on another project.

Logan O’Toole is Mr. Porn. He is one of the industries leading men and owns his own company. He is the man that everyone knows, but most will never admit to knowing. He is the man you fantasize about behind close doors. He is your dirty little secret.
When we first meet Logan his longterm relationship has ended and he is hung up on a girl he did a scene with once. It was a little confusing in the beginning, not knowing who the actual love interest was. Throughout the story it does become clear that Devi is the love interest, the girl he is hung up on.
I actually really liked Devi, she was honest, open and loving. I really felt for her and her desire to have Logan to herself. Devi felt like a real girl to me and I really liked her geninuness. Part of my struggle came in that I really wanted Devi and Logan to be choose to be together over everything else. Some of my enjoyment diminished when I saw how he intended for thier relationship to play out.
I will 100% admit I signed up for this one, because I thought you can’t go wrong with a book about a porn star. I will be honest, I didn’t think I would get so much porn star life though. I was really hoping for more of a love story with porn in the background. A smoking hot, light love story about a porn star. While I obviously enjoyed this one, I mean it’s sexy as sin and has awesome moments of sweetness I wish it was a little less about the porn industry. By the time I got to the end it just felt like a lot.
That being said, I think I am alone in this opinion for the most part. The story is well written and a unique love story. So I do recommend checking out for yourself, just know going in it will be huge part of the story, yeah I am aware I should have gathered that by the title.

And you also need to understand that Logan does not think and act in the way "normal", "everyday" people next door think and act. He has his own version of reality and of what is proper. Some may call it twisted, some may call it fascinating. Some may blush and turn away; some may keep reading and occasionally laugh.
I personally found it fascinating and I laughed a lot – although sometimes I was rereading phrases just to make sure I was reading correctly. And other times I was whispering “Oh God. What on earth am I reading?” while I was giggling.
For example for Logan being loyal to his girlfriend means that he does not sleep with other women outside the set – only during filming.
Devi on the other hand prefers taking part at girl-on-girl porn scenes and not intercourse with man/men, because she does not want to get attached emotionally. She had only one scene with a male during her three years career and that was Logan. Since then, she only does women. And thinks of Logan.
Logan is a veteran in the industry. Almost 30 years old with more than 10 years experience, he has done almost all the famous women porn stars. He is recently heartbroken by his old girlfriend who had abandoned him taking with her also their dog. But Logan, although he is bitter by his ex, only thinks of Devi.
So three years have passed from this famous porn scene where Logan and Devi met for the first time. When they meet again at a party, there is no way that they will be separated again. Finally single Logan wants to film Devi in the ocean or in the desert. A tornado is whipping up emotional debris, lust and fantasies and he starts think of her more lyrically and poetically:

Soon these two will have a project together and a kind of relationship. The project is a vision of Logan coming true. It is romantic series about a couple who starts a relationship and gradually their relationship turns to be more hardcore and porny. I am not sure if I can recommend you this book. It includes situations that it will probably trouble some people and some others may find them offensive a) lots of pornography of course, b) girl on girl action and threesomes, c) an attempt of rape, d) psychological abuse, e) sex with other women for filming purposes, for both of them after their relationship starts etc.
The book may have a light tone, but it can without doubt be read in different levels. And although it cannot be considered a documentary of the porn industry (not even close as it is a simple love story after all), it certainly has a lot of hidden truth.
If you read it with an open-minded attitude and without taking everything seriously, you may enjoy it.
So the choice is yours. I definitely enjoyed it, but I have also enjoyed “Boogie Nights” and the majority of my friends absolutely hate this film.

Part of the fun of reading a co-written book is seeing whether the authors’ voices are distinct or blended. With this book, I didn’t know where one started and one stopped. They were able to create that magic where the characters were just Logan and Devi and there was no wondering where Sierra or Laurelin were in the process. That’s a gift, my friends.
Should I start with the sex? Hell yes! The sex in this book is the hot-hotter-hottest-need-to-left-hand-it-right-freaking-now kind of sex. Was I surprised that these two would bring the heat? Not one little bit. The book is about actual porn stars; of course it needs to be hot. I had no idea it could be that erotic though. Damn.
Logan O’Toole is the thoughtful type of male character that you dream about finding in real life but worry that could only exist in books. Who could possibly be this smart, this caring, this awakened, this feminist, this perfect ideal? He was introspective and oh so careful to make sure he was treating his partners with the utmost care. Sure, he had some bumps in the road and made some mistakes along the way but Logan O’Toole might be the best book boyfriend you could find. He’s so dreamy! I love him!
And while Logan is this dreamy perfection, Devi Dare is a goddess. Oh Devi! She is brilliant, and kind, and gorgeous, and feminist, and sexy, and I loved the pieces we got to see of her Farsi background. I loved her views of porn and her desire to work in feminist environments and her ability to trust her instincts when in a dangerous situation. She made many brave and hard choices throughout the book, more so than Logan. For me, Devi was the real hero of the story.
Logan and Devi work together to film a reality porn show but how much is real and how much is for show? What happens when feelings develop and you have to reconcile f-cking other people on camera while the person you love watches? The whole idea of an open relationship fascinates me. Is Devi ok with it? Is Logan? This is where the book really takes off for me. The feelings they have on the subject and the eventual outcome results in a thoughtful, beautiful, wild ride.
I would be remiss not to applaud the authors for highlighting the problems that still exist in the porn industry. Since porn has become so mainstream, we think it’s a mythical happy place of positive sex but there’s still a murky underside. As we saw last year, sexism still runs rampant and women are put in dangerous situations. It’s important to pay attention to which companies we are watching.
Finally, thank you so much to the authors for giving me a small part in being a porn-star! And I didn’t even have to take off my clothes! It was thrilling!

Not one little bit. The book is about actual porn stars; of course it needs to be hot. I had no idea it could be that erotic though. Damn.
Logan O’Toole is the thoughtful type of male character that you dream about finding in real life but worry that could only exist in books. Who could possibly be this smart, this caring, this awakened, this feminist, this perfect ideal? He was introspective and oh so careful to make sure he was treating his partners with the utmost care. Sure, he had some bumps in the road and made some mistakes along the way but Logan O’Toole might be the best book boyfriend you could find. He’s so dreamy! I love him!
And while Logan is this dreamy perfection, Devi Dare is a goddess. Oh Devi! She is brilliant, and kind, and gorgeous, and feminist, and sexy, and I loved the pieces we got to see of her Farsi background. I loved her views of porn and her desire to work in feminist environments and her ability to trust her instincts when in a dangerous situation. She made many brave and hard choices throughout the book, more so than Logan. For me, Devi was the real hero of the story.
Logan and Devi work together to film a reality porn show but how much is real and how much is for show? What happens when feelings develop and you have to reconcile f-cking other people on camera while the person you love watches? The whole idea of an open relationship fascinates me. Is Devi ok with it? Is Logan? This is where the book really takes off for me. The feelings they have on the subject and the eventual outcome results in a thoughtful, beautiful, wild ride.
I would be remiss not to applaud the authors for highlighting the problems that still exist in the porn industry. Since porn has become so mainstream, we think it’s a mythical happy place of positive sex but there’s still a murky underside. As we saw last year, sexism still runs rampant and women are put in dangerous situations. It’s important to pay attention to which companies we are watching.
Finally, thank you so much to the authors for giving me a small part in being a porn-star! And I didn’t even have to take off my clothes! It was thrilling!

At times, I felt like I was reading a text book on how to survive in the porn industry, but ultimately I found it interesting to see how certain things worked behind the scenes.
Anyone who has issues with the main characters having sex with other people, especially the hero, then this book is not for you. If that doesn't bother you, rock on!

This one is hard for me to review. The reason for this is that, books about MC's that are in the pornindustry, and me, have a love / hate relationship. Some I give 5 stars and some I dnf. Now, ofcourse I could ask myself....why read it if there is a good chance you won't like the subject of the book. The answer to that is actually really simple..I'm very curious and I like to expand my boundries. I like reading outside the box and I like taboo.
But at heart...I'm still a romantic.....and porn, eventhough very steamy and arrousing, is not always romantic. So I'm gonna review and rate the book for the storyline, and keep my personal issues out of it, because I knew what it was about, before I started reading ;) I will however give my personal opionion at the end...
So about the storyline....
Logan is a big time porn star and he has been for quite some time. He's made a name for himself and he's pretty wanted. He has his own productionline, he does his own producing, editing, sometimes filming and ofcourse he does the fucking...a lot.
He has been in a 3 year relationship, which has ended, not too long ago, when his ex, just up and left him...without any explanation. His ex is also in the pornindustry and they have been filming together and with other people (together and seperate). She broke his heart and he still isn't completely over it. But there has also been another girl on his mind....Devi. Devi has done a threesome pornscene with him and his ex, 3 years ago. They only did oral, but she has been in his mind ever since....
Devi is still young, 21, but has been in the pornindustry for 3 years. She still can't forget the scene she did with Logan and his girlfriend, and she has been following his films and careed ever since. She has a little crush on Logan ever since that scene, which also made her decide to only do girl in on girls scenes ever since. Her pay is way less and she hasn't made as big of a name for herself.
After three years (they did see each other in passing before this), they run in to each other at a party. There is insta-spark and they both want each other...a lot. Still when the oppertunity arrives, Logan pulls back. He has some thinking to do, before jumping into a physical/emotional relationship. So that's what he does..he thinks and comes up with a plan. A plan to have Devi, because that's what he really wants, and make an awesome career choice as well. He proposes a series of real life porn shows. Meaning, they would go on (fake) dates and have a (sort of) natural progression of their sexual relationship, while putting it on film, for the world to see.
Devi agrees, because she wants Logan as well, and so it begins....
There are already some kind of feelings between them when they start this project, and they only grow bigger and bigger until both of them admit that they are in love. But life goes on...even in the pornindustry and especially to Logan, his job is very important to him. So he continues to shoot scenes. Devi however has a lot more issues about being with someone else while in love with another....Are they able to work out their differences and make their relationship work....
I think this book was very well written, I loved the writingstyle and the MC's were very nice. The steam was amazingly hot !! That Logan has a nice mouth on him...and other things ;)
Devi was not a terrible heroine, she didn't get on my nerves a lot, I just found her a bit naieve sometimes, but than again, she was very young. Devi's hippy parents were pretty funny, but I wouldn't want hem as my own parents. They only seemed to know how to quote buddha, when giving advise and I still think it's not right to encourage your underage daughter to have sex, or be in the porn industry. I also think it's not right to give your 14 year old daughter a dildo....bit maybe that's just me ??
I read this book in one sitting and really wanted to know what was gonna happen next. I loved the epilogue ;)

I don't think it's sexy or romantic at all, to ask your girlfriend to come watch you do a pornscene, and give another girl 3 orgasms in front of her. I also don't think it's sexy or romantic to keep saying how much you still enjoy fucking other women (eventhough he got jealous himself, thinking about her doing a scene with another guy). I hated the fact that he had the nerve to ask her to do threesomes and foursomes with other people on camera and got so excited about it. He was pissing me off so bad. Yes, I understood that this was his job and yes she knew going into this relationship that he was a porn star, but did he have to be so blunt about it. Did he have to keep saying how much he loved fucking other women and did he have to make them come at least three times ?? I really didn't see the romance until the very end...and that saddens me, because this book was actually pretty good. If he would have shown some remorse...but he didn't do that :( I get that sex and romance don't have to be the same. Some people have no problem separating those two, but it was not what he was doing as much as what he was thinking that bothered me !!

Gut-wrecking and sexy as hell! It's one big hard reading. BIG and HARD. They should be highlighted here.
About the plot: We meet Logan in not the easiest time for him. Logan O’Toole, world famous porn star, has a broken heart. His longtime girlfriend walked away, and he doesn't know why. He thought that together they have a good relationship, continue filmmaking porn and had a great time. But she walked away and he has a problem with understanding.
Devi Dare went into this business because she needed money. But she made porn movie with a man only once, in the threesome with Logan and his girlfriend. Since then, she did just an erotic photo and shoot femme porn. But when there is a problem with student debt, as well as the offer of filming porn series about love and sex with Logan O’Toole, she went into it. However, they both did not expect to have true feelings to each other during the filming. The problem is that Logan completely did not see anything wrong with the combination of two worlds love and porn making.
Final thoughts: Needless to say, that it is well written and is definitely smutty reading. But also awfully gut-wrecking. Probably not to pass for everyone. Because despite the fact that both sides were aware of this, they continue participated in the filming porn with other partners. And I'm sure that for some it will be a deal breaker. Sometimes it was not easy to read, especially for those romantic souls, but it is also very dirty and steaming, so you can expect a lot of emotion.
This book surprised me hard. Although I knew it would be about the porn industry, it didn't think that it will come into it so strongly. It is very good and interesting description of industry. And the changes that takes place in that world. You'll get a great source of information about the business. It was a unique and refreshing. The plot is really addictive. And if you can survive the tension it will be great for you to read.

3.5 Revealing But Not How You Think Stars

This was extremely current in all of the references to this industry; touching briefly of the rape accusations of a famous adult star, reality porn and the push for stronger regulations and protections for the women in it. It also touched on compartmentalization; how to keep the sex, sex only and not allow yourself to get caught up in it all emotionally.
By reading this book, it revealed much about the characters; how they came to be in the industry, who they were at this time in their lives and also with our female lead Devi, a wonderfully creative set of parents. The writing gave everything needed to convey this story...
And it also revealed some insight to me about myself.
It made me think about how I was receiving these characters..was I giving them an open mind... was I seeing who they were...I felt I figured it all out and came away with a clear understanding for all the lessons they learned... I just wish it had been told in a tighter way.
Most have loved the book and both authors are hugely successful in all of their works. So I think it was a me and not them for the rating. However, I did appreciate all of the honesty of the story.

Logan O'Toole is a porn Star , with all the trimmings. Beautiful girls , money, reputation of a stud , a new car and successful buiness. He makes porn, stars in porn, enjoys porn. He is NOT conflicted or guilty . He actually enjoys having sex on camera and he reaps benefits fom it. He s passionate about his work, has numerous contracts in pipeline, a new idea for filming a real feel movie complete with dates and romance with a fresh face.
Enter Devi Dare. He had worked with her 3 years ago and never really forgotten her. She enters her life at a point here he's recovering from a broken, jilted heart and a devastating breakup with Raven.
They start shooting Star Crossed together and love happens.
Generally you start a story with a beautiful romance progressing into hot sex. Here it's backwards. It's hot sex that starts their relationship and progresses to a tender love story.
Well , as tender as a love story with porn stars can be. Believe me- it's very tender. Pulls at your heart strings , makes you drop a tear or two.
Here you can actually feel Sierra writing. The inner dialogue Devi has when so conflicted while trying to separate what she feels from what is reciprocated is marvellous. She's in a state of constant turmoil. Her naivètè let's her take the leap of a cliff but does she land on two feet or plunge headlong to her death, remains to be seen.
I was so intrigued as to how could their love story pass through the gauntlet of insurmountable obstacles and reach an end...
some very very beautiful lines need special mention here

But their kind of love is rarely perfect and doom follows them from the word go.
Jealousy and professionalism, work and commitment, heart and head are at constant war!!

I believe it appropriately uses porn metaphors to decipher love .

I know it seems like a contradiction, or maybe even an impossibility, that anal sex could be romantic, but it’s an act that requires so much more patience and so much more communication than almost anything else I can think of. It forces you to slow down and look your partner in the face, examine how they’re feeling and what they’re thinking. To be done right, it requires an incredible amount of trust, and what could possibly be more romantic than that? ' "
So...... it's NOT a porn story about a star but a love story about two people who happen to be in porn .
This story also touches on certain controversial subject of abuse in this industry , very eloquently handled. The characters stay in their environment. They don't change colours. Logan IS a porn star by choice so he stays in the frame of mind throughout. Devi is in porn by accident and money but her innocence and needs are clashing so her character is slightky confused and conflicted . Thankfully the writers don't waste time to write elaborate villians becuse their lifestyle is the biggest villian itself. They don't need external forces to destroy their love. Their environment is doing that silently like a toxin .

I LOVED IT
This was a really great book!
Logan & Dari are both absolutely adorable and sexy and beautiful and the story is just as sexy and beautiful.
I heard some people complaining about the porn in the book? Weird. They probably should've checked the title of the book before they started reading. ☺
For having such a title the book wasn't all that porny. Of course there's porn and sex and making love. But both Logan and Dari work in that business...so it's to be expected. But it definitely wasn't exaggerated.
I loved it and you should definitely read it!
Don't let the P*rn Star thing scare you!!!! Logan is soooo cute and sad and broken and alone and talented and ugh... I just loved him. Give him a chance!

Porn Star was everything I thought I would get, everything I expected it to be. Both Laurelin Paige & Sierra Simone have kept the plot line going the way I wanted it to be, the way I expected. To some it will be difficult to accept it because it's probably not what you would have imagine but you need to keep in mind that this book is about Logan O'Toole, famous porn star, that Logan loves what he does and he's good at it.
Devi and he have made a scene with Logan's ex three years ago. She never really forgot the guy and she has to admit she has a real crush on him.
Logan remembers her the same way. If he has to be honest, he has a crush on this girl too. Seeing each other at a party was just what they needed to connect and bond. Add a business deal in the mix, and you have incredible chemistry on and off set.
“You’re turned on for me all the time?” I ask her. “Well, I’m worse. I’m fucking miserable with the need to touch you and taste you. I’m obsessed with it. I’m obsessed with you.”
I meet her eyes. “You have to tell me if that makes you uncomfortable. Because the way I think about you, the way I crave you, it’s not just like two performers. It’s not just like two friends."
To me the focus was how to mix a love story with a porn star. How make it believable. I wanted it to stay as close as it could be in real life.
I'm not going to hide, I like smutty reads, I like sex in my books, it's certainly not a requirement but let's face it I enjoy reading it, and I have to admit I've always been curious about the porn industry, about the connection partners can have and how love can develop in such a personal environment. While Porn Star stays a fictional book, I think both authors did a fine job to give us an insight of what really happens, the good and the bad. I'm very curious to know what were their inspirations and if they somehow had an insight view for their story. I might stalk them to get some answers.
“It’s not a fake date, Devi. Yes, we’re recording what happens later, but it’s real.” I plead with her with my eyes. “I want us...I mean—I want there to be an us. I want to take you on actual dates. I want this to be a real date.”
As for their characters, they were endearing. Devi is a young girl who's in porn because she doesn't know what to do with her life and because it pays the bills.
Logan is in the business for so long he doesn't see who he can be other than fucking women for a living.
Right now, he is some kind of a mess, after his long term girlfriend left him without an explanation three months ago.
What I like in here other than what I already explained was how much details there are. You know all the struggle Logan goes in his life, what he thinks of himself, what he wants and what he needs. His love for Devi is like a blessing because he yearns for some kind of "more" in his life. You are going to witness his vulnerability, and what he needs to do for himself.
Who in this selfish, indulgent, spray-tanned city would ever guess that Logan O’Toole has a chewy caramel center? That under his I’ll-fuck-anything-that-moves veneer, there is a guy who just wants to love someone?
Porn Star is obviously a very hot read. You've maybe seen my updates, if not just know your kindle or even yourself might very well combust. There are a lot sex and I mean more than usual IMO but again it serves the plot. If you expect porn people to not do porn then don't read it. It's through some sex scenes and what comes in between or after that the relation between Logan and Devi grows and become strong. While some may say everything will happen pretty fast, it was realistic enough for me.

4 Mr. O’Toole Stars Please
Let’s be honest, I wanted to read Porn Star because of the title and summary. You know it’s going to some kinky good-time fun. Also, I love Laurelin Paige and this is my first novel by Sierra Simone so I was double excited.
Logan O’Toole is a veteran in the Porn industry. He’s a porn God and all the women love him. He’s good at what he does and not only he films in porn, but he also directs. Logan is the typical Hero I crave for in these types of reads. I wanted him to be overly assertive, egotistical and frankly hot. I got everything. I also liked that he not only did porn, but he made them as well. It gave his character another layer.
Devi Dare is a very young twenty-something thing. She is relatively new in the industry, but she does what she is comfortable with. For now, she only does girl on girl porn and is perfectly fine with that. She has done one film with Logan in the past and her heart has not stop thinking about him since. This is a first for me. Usually the Heroine isn’t a porn star as well, but it worked for this book. I liked that Devi and Logan share same interests and could understand each other.
Logan wants to do different films, something more organic and natural, so he asks Devi to be part of his web series and she gladly accepts. I really like the chemistry between Logan and Devi, yes it was steamy and filled with tension, but it wasn’t about getting hot and heavy. You would think right? No, Logan and Devi forge this cute friendship and it was really adorable.
The beginning was a bit slow and there’s plenty of inner monologue to help you understand what the characters are feeling and thinking, but the book picks up in the second half. You get a lot of industry knowledge on how the industry works and how different it is for Logan as a man in the field verse Devi, a young new woman. I liked reading those parts.
I thought Devi was strong and not some damsel in distress you could take advantage of. I liked that she was comfortable in her own skin and was fine being in front of the cameras. Logan was Devi’s perfect companion. He’s the unattainable crush and I liked that eventually it was Logan trying to pursue Devi. As Logan and Devi become closer, they are trying very hard not to blur the professional and personal lines.
Overall, Porn Star is a hot book but its also cute and a good read.

3 'Cassiopeia' Stars!
An entertaining love story and definitely original! Porn Star threw me out of my comfort zone, that is for sure. I did like some parts of the story better like the hot chemistry between the main couple and also when the feels make an appearence.
I do have to say though, I did not understand the MC's behavior after they fall in love (especially Logan's..) and that kind of made me disconnect with both characters. The writing is great (of course!) but the whole thing of not stopping porn after they get together, it just did not work for me!

Porn Star is the product of the co-authorship of Laurelin and Sierra Simone. With these two authors at the helm of this ship a few things were pretty obvious going in. First (and most importantly), it was going to be well-written and secondly, it was going to be off-the-charts-change-your-panties-hot.
Logan O’Toole is at the top of his game. Between starring and directing adult films, he is also nursing a pretty bad break up. But it really isn’t the ex that has him standing at attention, but a sweet young thing that featured with him years ago. Devi Dare. She’s not mainstream, not even doing anything beyond lesbian porn and erotic photos, until now that is.
After Logan and Devi reunite at a party, he enlists her talents in his latest endeavor. But the lines are getting blurred. The chemistry is just as hot off the screen as it is on the screen; but in a world of smut, can a relationship truly survive?
Okay, so this was a mixed bag of feelings type of read. Logan started so strong. OMG, like I was ready to sit on his face and devout my life to making him happy and then that shifted. But here is the thing. Devi was just sort of okay at first. These two characters completely shifted on me. And it worked. It was needed. It was fucking magical to experience.
So Logan. So hot. So sexy and of yeah, he can fuck. But his heart that was out for public consumption from the start. I loved it. I usually like the guy to be a jerk, but with Logan, I loved how vulnerable he was at times. But then towards the end, my whole world changed. Logan just pissed me off and suddenly Devi was becoming my BFF. I loved when she stood her ground. I loved that she saw her worth and her wants and did not apologize for it.
Now there were a few things about this that did rub me the wrong way. But the beauty of it all was that shit all started happening right when the shift from team Logan to team Devi was happening. I was very, very eager to read this book and when it landed on my Kindle I dove right in.
So, the story: Logan O'Toole is a very famous porn star. His films are always a hit in the adult film industry world and he knows how to put his name out there. He uses social media, he has a large website and he likes to shoot his own scenes. Logan may be a porn star but he was certain ethics when it comes to his films and his co-workers. He respects them and always tries to make the women feel comfortable and desirable when he shoots with them.
What we slowly come to realize as we read, is that Logan is a man with a big heart; a heart that has recently been broken. Raven was his girlfriend, but she left him with no word. The break-up still tortures him and he keeps wondering why she treated his so cruelly. It also doesn't help that Raven is also a porn star.
Devi Dare is twenty one years old and a three-year veteran in the industry. She might be a porn star but she has never taken part in a film where she had to have sex with a man. She likes her job and the thought of starring in a HET film has never crossed her mind...until Logan O'Toole re-enters her life and career. They have worked together once and the memory of that man still haunts Devi.

The book is a whirlwind of emotions, I can tell you that. There is solid character development throughout the story and that made the book for me. The characters don't simply change because of their relationship. Their wants and needs slowly arise as they discover each other and themselves.
Logan is a very confident man and he isn't shy to let us know of that fact.

His self confidence doesn't take away from his character though, because he is a well rounded person with a clear head and a heart of gold. He just doesn't know who to be if not a porn star. It's his life and it is logical and realistic when he isn't sure if he wants to completely give that up for the sake of a woman who might as well be his downfall. He is still healing from a broken heart.
Devi was an adorable heroine, very comfortable with her sexuallity. She has ethics and the authors do a fantastic job in making both characters come across as normal and relatable. The book could have easily become just a dirty ride with lots of sex, but it's not. Yes, it's a very sensual book, but there is also meaning. We enter the minds of two actors who work in adult films. We get to see how they think, how they feel and how easy it is to get lost in their insane world.
Devi has to be one of my favorite heroines ever! I wans't sure if I was going to like her, but I did. Right from the first page. She isn't shy to tell Logan what she thinks, but she is hesitant to sometimes speak her mind because she doesn't want to lose him or worse, hurt him.
"I make the choice- I choose to use my body, either for work or for pleasure....
When you call that choice cheap, it makes me feel cheap.
Devi is not a brain-dead heroine. She wants to go to college, she knows a lot of things that surprise Logan and she is very smart for her young age. Her fascination with stars thrilled me and that aspect of her character made the book all the more appealing to me.
Her parents are some of the best secondary characters I've ever met! I simply loved them, especially her mom. They do yoga, they read taro cards, they believe in Budha and they are very comfortable in their skin; something they have passed on to their daughter. They added humor to the story.

Overall, the book was a win for me. It made me laugh, feel, cry and above all, it made me see Logan's kind of work with a completely different eye. It's easy to judge and point fingers and this book explores every hardship adult film actors have to deal with. It also shows the unethical and seediest part of porn film making and that side made me cringe and wonder...
So, if you want to read something different, a story that will make you think, with a refreshing storyline, incredible characters and steamy romance, then look no further. This is the book for you. I don't think I will forget about this book any time soon.

I was very, very eager to read this book and when it landed on my Kindle I dove right in.
So, the story: Logan O'Toole is a very famous porn star. His films are always a hit in the adult film industry world and he knows how to put his name out there. He uses social media, he has a large website and he likes to shoot his own scenes. Logan may be a porn star but he was certain ethics when it comes to his films and his co-workers. He respects them and always tries to make the women feel comfortable and desirable when he shoots with them.
What we slowly come to realize as we read, is that Logan is a man with a big heart; a heart that has recently been broken. Raven was his girlfriend, but she left him with no word. The break-up still tortures him and he keeps wondering why she treated his so cruelly. It also doesn't help that Raven is also a porn star.
Devi Dare is twenty one years old and a three-year veteran in the industry. She might be a porn star but she has never taken part in a film where she had to have sex with a man. She likes her job and the thought of starring in a HET film has never crossed her mind...until Logan O'Toole re-enters her life and career. They have worked together once and the memory of that man still haunts Devi.
What we also don't know about Logan at the start is that he has had a crush on Devi since the first moment he met her, so when the opportunity to work with her presents itself, he dives right in.
He has a job to offer her. Can she refuse the man that has been haunting her fantasies for three years in a row?

Logan doesn't feel the same though. He has feelings for Devi but he thinks that he can seperate his heart from the mechanics of his body and his natural reaction to other women.

With a title like “Porn Star,” you’d think this book would be hot, hot, hot. And you’d be right. Well, actually it’s an inferno. It’s a total panty melting, jaw dropping scorcher filled with sex—and a lot of it. In between all the sex though, there’s an eye-opening look at the ins and outs of the adult film industry: fair trade, feminist porn, consent, business vs. pleasure, etc.
Devi is a young, somewhat naïve woman on the cusp of becoming a top-tier porn actress. She’s not sure what she wants to do with the rest of her life, but she knows she wants the former co-star she’s been fantasizing about for the past three years. Devi is a sympathetic character, and through her eyes we get to experience some of the harsh realities of the business, as well as the highs and lows of falling in love with a porn star. It’s a dual point of view story, which is helpful in understanding Logan’s struggle with wanting both his career and Devi. Even so, Logan comes across as dense and selfish sometimes.
Without question, the chemistry between Logan and Devi is strong. It’s easy to understand how the line might get blurred between filming a porno reality series and the reality of falling in love, but the plot is rather thin and drawn out. Some of the middle section could be discarded without impacting the storyline. As it is, I spent too much time getting hung up on technical details – like why don’t they have a camera man filming the series instead of just Logan filming themselves? How can they be getting decent footage with a hand held camera sitting on a table while they are moving around?
Devi’s hippie parents are wonderful and the ending (sans the questionable epilogue) is very satisfying.
If you’re looking for a unique story with enough steam to fill your spank bank for a year, Porn Star may fit your bill.
