A playboy, a tomboy, and an ex-con. They couldn’t be more different. The only place all those differences disappear? The bedroom.
“Let’s go in,” Liam said, taking the hotel keycard Calla had been clutching. She looked confused until Liam eyed Mack and said, “All of us.”
Calla’s eyes widened and her mouth dropped open slightly. But when the door unlocked, she stepped inside and held it open wide.
In invitation.
F*ck him. Mack felt it in his chest and his balls—the wanting. She doesn’t know what she’s inviting in.
Liam stepped right over the threshold, but still, Mack hesitated. She deserves a million times better than either of you horny f*cks.
Mack was about to turn around and leave. He really was.
But then Calla reached over and took his hand. With her other, she reached out to Liam. When she started tugging them inside, Mack let himself be pulled forward.
He didn’t know if he was heading into heaven or hell. But as the door closed behind him, Mack knew there was no other place he’d rather be.
Stasia was born in Georgia, grew up in Texas, recently spent a freezing five-year stint in Minnesota, and now is happily planted in sunny California, which she will never, ever leave.
She loves writing, reading, listening to podcasts, and has recently taken up biking after a twenty-year sabbatical (and has the bumps and bruises to prove it). She lives with her own personal cheerleader, aka, her handsome husband, and their teenage son. Wow. Typing that makes her feel old. And writing about herself in the third person makes her feel a little like a nutjob, but ahem! Where were we?
Stasia’s drawn to romantic stories that don’t take the easy way out. She wants to see beneath people’s veneer and poke into their dark places, their twisted motives, and their deepest desires. Basically, she wants to create characters that make readers alternately laugh, cry ugly tears, want to toss their kindles across the room, and then declare they have a new FBB (forever book boyfriend).
this book was HILARIOUS! i think it was supposed to be serious...but it was terrible. which made it hilarious. the transliteration of an irish brogue...i laughed so hard. sex scenes were not too bad...but the dialogue and plot? atrocious. it was hysterical.
Wow, this was pretty good! Calla, Liam, and Mack come from such different backgrounds, but each of them are lacking love and support. Liam and Mack are volatile together, they fight constantly and seem to have nothing in common, until the meet Calla. Each of them is trying to get away from their past and when they come together they realize what they needed was someone to lean on and trust. I liked that it wasn't just 2 guys who like the same girl, it was 3 people who all loved each other. I think a lot of authors shy away from gay scenes because they think people won't want to read them, but this was great. They were a good threesome and I enjoyed the drama of the plot.
Ducking Ugly by Stasia Black a five -star read I would happily duck. This is the second book in the Stud Ranch series, I enjoyed the first book in the series but I freaking loved this one, it’s so hot it will melt your fingers. It won’t be for everyone as there is some M/F/M, M/M/F, M/M and M/F scenes and some alluded to that will break your heart, but they are done well and suit the story and the plot. Mack and Liam were enemies the minute they met total opposite one rich boy running away from his problems and into the next pair of pants that will let him and the other an ex con who wants to keep his head down, Calla is just the spark that creates their fire. Calla comes with her own set of difficulties that are dealt with in a unique and humble manner, after always being a Tomboy she finds something different at the stud ranch, a chance to become something and someone else. This book is so much more than I thought when I first started reading it, there is action and drama and passion that will make your heart palpate.
This book was like a hug. It reminded me of the old menage books I used to read. The three leads falling in love but fighting it because they don't think they're worthy, but their chemistry defeats everything. Drama from all three's past. Love overcoming everything. I loved it.
Angry menage, with both the guys fighting even when they were with the h. She starts as downtrodden, but rises up and become stronger. It's super steamy, and the guys both have ugly histories, and they both needed therapy. I got distracted by their anger, and their lack of wanting to commit to her or them. They both had good reasons to leave, not sure I believed in their HEA. And don't like the cover at all!
One thing for sure , while reading a Stasia black story , nothing it's what it seems; expect the unexpected. This author writes unique , offbeat and unconventional tales.I
The virgin next door : a menáge romance it's a MMF love story . It's entertaining, emotional satisfying and hot.
Please, be aware that this story is sexually explicit. It deals with sensitive topics as rape , M/M sex and mild violence; and might be triggers for some readers.
Initially, I was unsure about this book. Liam irritated me to no end with his meddling ways and cliched vernacular. However, I quickly became engrossed and I loved how these three characters came together. The ending was perhaps a little rushed and a tad too convenient but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Stasia did it again in the third, hopefully not last, book in the Stud Ranch series! We get to meet Mack and Liam more in depth and learn so much about the tragedies and hurdles they have had to overcome in their lives. Although someone may seem to have everything they could ever imagine in life doesnt mean they are truly happy. Appearances can be deceiving is definitely something that can be said about this book. Calla comes in and puts herself right in the middle of a love triangle without even meaning too. She is a confused virgin who doesnt know what to do. Mack and Liam fight each other it seems at every turn to try and win her over. Thankfully Xavier and Mel are great and put them in their place time and time again lol Then just when they think they have things figured out a big bomb gets dropped on Calla, and someone from Mack's past and someone from Liam's past come back into their lives and not for the good.
I’m not usually a fan of the virgin trope but this book was highly recommended to me and the author really made it work. Check the trigger warnings because there are some difficult themes dealt with but they’re handled sensitively.
Again I have to preface that I didn’t think I would like this. I am not into m/m and when I read a ménage I prefer no guy action. I have nothing against it, it’s just my preference. This was an excellent story with awesome hot sex with great chemistry between the characters. The growth of all the characters and all that they were dealing with drew me in and I couldn’t stop reading till I was done.
I am glad I am on summer vacation and I could read all day! This was a great birthday present, to shut out the world and read!
I read out of order and didn’t mean to. I am going back to read book two.
So. Stasia Black. One very f&cked up chic. Thankfully.
Yet another jaw dropping novel from Stasia this time about the unlikely threesome that forms a less traditional family: There's Mack the ex Harvard and ex-con Callie the petite and now destitute possible Huntingtons target and Liam - bad boy Irish Billionaire playboy gone to ground after a spat with his da.
The least likely trio you would ever expect to meet
(Btw if you've not read the Meet the... stories for Liam Nanda Mack, hustle over to the GR listing of a FREE downloadable novellas and catch yourself up. Seriously
A fire hot novel that takes thrills, spills and kills to make a perfect ending. Great stuff. 5 stars each...so that's what? 15?
Review: 3⭐️ 4🌶 Thought I was going in for an easy read and let me tell you. That hotel Scene. With the tree of them. Was. So. So hot. Like. Top 10 hottest scenes. But it’s also. A LOT. Like. Emotional. The prison info is TRIGGERING. Very dark and was not expecting it. The FMC dad is also a bit triggering. It’s a bit more that I thought it would be but very good- also. The gym scene was just. So. Sooooo good !! Wow. Ok so the rest of the book tho was A LOT of not talking to eachother and then a HUGE confusing all the bad guys dark players father and bully all in one go. And it was a lot. Honestly. This book was ok. Not the worst. But just. 🤷🏻♀️ it was a lot at the end. Felt rushed and unplanned.
This threesome was not easy. Mack is a bad boy, a very big boy. Liam is an Irish man whore. Calla is a tomboy who doesn't see her worth. I really didn't see how this was going to happen since Mack and Liam HATE each other in the previous books, but I guess in the end true love wins. There's MMF and MFM, plus a very bossy Dom.
Now, will there be any more books since there are some more hot cowboys at the ranch.
A very hot and heavy , (sometimes dark in its flashbacks) , read from Stasia , but as usual it’s excellent. Brilliantly beautiful in the writing and storyline.
This has been my favorite of the 3 books in this series! Seeing the story and dynamic unfold between Cal, Liam and Mack was so perfectly written! I will be rereading this for sure!
This story was a unique take on a trope I’ve read before.
The MMC’s were idiots at times that counted but thankfully they both realized they were idiots and changed course.
The FMC was somehow meek and mild while being equally strong and bullheaded.
They were all truly good people who had gone through the ringer and then some. And though they were all damaged, they all just tried to be better than what they knew… and when they all got together, with grit and determination, they finally got the reassurance and love they needed all along and came out better for it… despite the asshole road blocks that fell in their way.
It was a well told plot with the proper amount of character development/back story and sexy times and revelations that made me, as a reader, identify with each character separately.
Based from the voracious reading I’ve been doing the last few years, that balance of character development/back story, plot development, sexy times and other secondary character interactions, it’s VERY difficult to achieve this balance. In this book, it was well done! Especially given three MC’s and ~9 hrs of audiobook. I’ve read/listened to books over 13 hours and it wasn’t even close!
That said, I knew what was gonna play out before it was said. In this instance, I wasn’t even irked by it. It was enjoyable to be on the ride.
Awesome book. Extremely entertaining, captivating, and interesting read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong characters. I want to read more from this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
De los tres este es el "mejor" pero he decidido dejar de leer a esta autora porque de verdad menudo despropósito. Pero me he reído muchísimo, la verdad...
Así que si vienes por el mamarracheo, esta novela es total.
I can’t remember what it was that triggered me to save this on my kindle, but I’m so glad I did! There is so much story! So much heat! Calla was perfect and the three of them together were electric!
This was the best Menage story every written!!! Liam Mack and Calla shared so much in this story; the synchronicity of it will take your heart and soul to flight. If I didn't know or was aware this was a book; I would swear this was a real life Menage. You will cry. You will laugh. You will FEEL their love and togetherness. The most epic tale ever told.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was actually kind of annoying. Like it was okay but then there was just a lot of random, unneeded craziness that really, made no sense in this context. There were so many issues by the end i was like girl- pick a struggle.
