Ben is a single dad to seven-year-old Noah, and they recently moved into the school district where Rachel teaches second grade. When Ben and Noah walk into Rachel’s classroom for the first time, his world turns upside down.
As Rachel and Ben forge a new relationship, they must navigate around their exes and Noah’s objections to their friendship. Even if Noah comes around, will Rachel get past the hurt Ben caused her all those years ago? Life was much simpler when it was just the two of them, but what will happen now that it’s…Me & You Plus Two?

#21 R#21: READ A CHICK FLICK: After my last novel read which involved a lot of violence....I was looking for something a little lighter...."Me & You Plus Two" did not disappoint. In fact---there was no violence but there was a lot of sex! At times, I definitely felt very old reading this book ......but it was enjoyable :) :) I actually would like to see how the author develops the character of Jason Grant in the debut novel "See You Then"...... KU
This was a second chance romance, which I typically don't care for. It had cute kids in the story, which I always enjoy. It does have extramarital sex in the story, so it's not a sweet and clean romance, but does have an HEA.
Rachel Thompson and Ben Brady were childhood sweethearts. That all changed her second year of college. That is when Ben told her that they needed a break and shouldn't see each other anymore. Rachel was devastated. Her heart was totally destroyed and she didn't know if it would ever heal.
Now, almost twenty years later Rachel is a second grade school teacher and Ben brings his son to her class for his first day of school. She can't believe it is him after all these years. Now, they are both divorced and each have one child. The old familiar feelings come roaring back for each of them. But and there is a big BUT. Ben hurt her so badly she doesn't think she can get past that.
While I cannot say more without spoilers. I can say that you will laugh with Ben and Rachel but you will also shed tears. In the end you know they will become each others forever. I loved every minute of this book and was so sad for it to end. Susan Coventry has become one of my favorite authors. She knows how to draw you in and keep you there until the very end.
This is definitely one of my favorites that I have read thus far of Susan's. I love them all but this one being a single parents and getting back together after so many years apart was just wonderful. I'm on a mission to read all of her remaining books this month - reading them in order of publication date to where I know all couples mentioned since she always brings in someone normally from a previous book. Loved getting to see/hear from Jason back from See You Then.
This is a very pleasant light hearted romance. Young unrequited love finally gets resolved. The couple goes to separate colleges, break up, marry other people, each have a child. Years later circumstances bring them back together for their HEA.
One of the better second chance. I enjoyed the friendship between the 2 children and how all the parents were trying to keep that friendship between the kids.
I wasn't a fan of the present/past stuff...but I see why the author did this...just not my favorite thing.
Pretty fun story. Of course, it helped that it was set near my old stompin' grounds. All in all, a nice little romance. With sexy bits, if you're into that.
