This was terrible! I want to write an actual review later because I hated it so much! Wow!

All these years later, Hell House is still my favorite haunted house story, and this adaptation does a good job of capturing why.

Could've been scarier, not a very impressive read for me. But, it has its moments.

HOLLY SH&T IN A F#CK%NG SANDWICH!!!
¡¡¡Brutal, Brutal!!!

This book did do it for me ,I like Richard Matheson but their was no atmosphere, the characters are ordinary I didn't care what was happening to them. the art is great for the kind of story. It's hard not to think of the similarities with The shining .

Something was lacking for me.

Stephen King says that this author influenced his horror writing, and I can tell. Shades of The Shining! The last 60 pages or so made me feel very scared and insecure. Good as a retro read.

This essentially boils down to being about a horny and deranged ghost. Due to this expect a lot of nudity, and sexual assault. I generally adore haunted house stories, but this just leaned too much into the sexual side of horror for my tastes.

The pacing feels ok for a majority of the graphic novel, but then the last 30 pages just zip through the climax. I didn't even exactly understand what happened at the end to solve the problem.

I do still want to give the novel a try, as I'd love to compare the two, but the graphic novel does not live up to what I've heard about the novel.

It was very well written, and a very good story. Was it the scariest book I’ve ever read? No. But I enjoyed reading it.

To clarify, this is a Graphic Novel, not a book. Also, it has a different cover. It was adapted by Ian Edginton and illustrated by Simon Fraser. A great team for this project.
You've never experienced a story until you see it in pictures. It may look different than you would visualize it, but so what. They did a wonderful job on Hell House. I have already read it twice and I just got it the other day.
Highest recommendation.

this was an interesting book. it had its ups and downs, but I must say, it was a great book. I was not expecting the ending it had, really caught me off guard. it was a bit lengthy, but was worth it. interesting plot, it wasn't as scary as I expected, but some parts were a bit frightening. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good paranormal book.

I'm glad I read the novel before this comic. It's a decent comic, but it finished just too soon. Seemed a little rushed at the end, when we found out the "truth" behind the hauntings.
Decent read, so I'll give it 3 stars.

I love this genre and the story kept me entertained throughout. I also like the art style; classic comic book feel to me. If you like ghost, paranormal, occult, etc. I would recommend this book. A nicely contained story.

Good adaptation of one of my absolute favorite horror stories of all time. The only reason I didn't give five stars is I think the black and white art is rather muddy.

Very, very disappointing. This is the same author as "I Am Legend"? I would never have guessed.

Definitely creepy, I'll give it that. But I was such a fan of I Am Legend that this one let me down. Between the two, I'd recommend I Am Legend.
