Sometimes I just read a book I’ve never heard of and don’t know why when my to-read shelf is overflowing! A surrogate turned midwife at a home for unwed mothers in a Mennonite community in TN. Lots of deep feelings and a bit of what would you do drama. Good interview with author and discussion questions at the end.

I never connected with the characters. I have enjoyed other stories by this author but this one had confusing timelines.
